I am amusing myself by making different worldstates. Now that Veilguard is coming out, the four hero protagonists can be of every race in one worldstate!
This worldstate has Ingrid Cadash in it, who I tried to make have a proper dwarvish nose, with a face that plainly communicates that this is the daughter of a major crime boss. Look at her, she's so pissed
My usual Inquisitor is Qunari, and I have to say, for this game in particular I prefer playing with a dwarf. The world looks bigger and I can see the environment clear & close-up. And, since all of the races have the same walking speed and jumping height regardless of character size, playing a Qunari feels slow and bulky, whereas a dwarf feels like a speedy acrobatic little fucker
For the other heroes in this worldstate, I'm leaning towards an elf Warden and and a Qunari Rook. Mostly because you can't be Qunari in Origins

Revka Cadash and the Great Nug Hunt
It’s done! Thank you to @jarakrisafis, who sent me the writing prompt of ‘Carta, twelve injuries, and a greased nug;’ this was so much fun to write. Introducing Revka Cadash, my new Dwarven OC; she’s Jarak’s Inquisitor, Edric ‘Dasher’ Cadash’s, cousin.
PS: @cartadwarfwithaheartofgold, you said that you wanted me to tag you when completed, so. Tada! <3
When Revka Cadash had agreed to a ‘Wicked Grace night with the crew,’ she did not expect this. She leaned back in her chair, half in the air as she balanced perilously between tipping backwards or slamming into the table. Perhaps the latter would’ve been the better option; she’d seen funerals livelier than this iteration of ‘Saturday Night with Cousin Edric.’
“Ed,” she said, “I’m bored.” He arched his eyebrow over his Wicked Grace cards.
“Go get another drink, then,” he replied, discarding a drake and picking up another card. “Although you’re already tipsy.”
She huffed in outrage, “am not.”
“You are; you can’t keep a straight face. Your cheating’s sodding obvious.” Revka’s mouth twitched in amusement. No one in the Cadash clan—not even Edric ‘Dasher’ Cadash, himself—could touch her when she played Wicked Grace. Sober, that is. When tipsy… Everyone, it was said, had their vices; Rev Cadash’s was being unable to keep a straight face when drunk.
Well, that and sweets. She fished around in her belt pouch and popped yet another nougat in her mouth, toying with her cards. She fumbled through the fuzziness enveloping her for an idea to liven the evening. Drinking alone wasn’t much fun—she rarely drank with the crew on principle, to prevent overfamiliarity. Besides, half-drunk Carta were more trouble than they were worth. They already broke up a fistfight earlier over a card game. She needed something to distract everyone. Revka slammed her (losing) hand of cards on the table, causing several heads to turn.
“Mordhau, Verdin: break out the grease and a mud splasher. Let’s live a little.” She smirked at her cousin, pushing herself away from the table.
“You’re either bored to death, or slightly mad,” Edric replied, clearly amused. “Can’t tell which.”
“Both, sweet cousin, both… and perhaps the slightest bit tipsy.” She sauntered across the back room of their warehouse on the Docks. ‘Greywater Imports,’ it said on the door, which was true—the Cadash clan did deal in import/exports—but their merchandise’s origins were murky at best, and downright illegal at worst. Didn’t stop the Cadashes, however. Nothing did, not even the room spinning as Revka crossed it.
Mordhau and Verdin reappeared, bearing a squealing nug and a pot of grease. The men cheered when she slathered the nug with grease and made a raunchy joke concerning the last occasion she’d used that much grease for something… something tall, horned, and incredibly muscular. Her hypothetical night with a greased qunari earned her some whoops and laughs.
“Five sovereigns to whoever catches this slippery bastard,” she called.
“Eight sovereigns say you can’t do it,” Edric declared from his seat in the corner, brow arched in challenge. “Too far in your cups, you are. The lot of you!”
She flashed a grin and let the nug loose. It squeaked, scurrying away. It was almost cute, if she ignored the creepy paw-hands and those beady eyes full of indignance. Her niece might like it for a pet, maybe. Her smile fell off her face as several Carta came barreling towards her and the nug. Revka stumbled back. “O-Oi,” she said, “oi! Slow down, you hear? Slow down—”
Alas, that she had forgotten the chair behind her. She backed right into tripping over it, and the others? Tackled by four hulking dwarva was not how Revka thought she’d die. She probably broke ribs from those fools, those squabbling, drunk fools too busy pommeling each other to focus. She crawled out from beneath them and rolled to her feet, jaw dropping.
It was pure chaos. Grown men and women—assassins, smugglers, deadly mercenaries alike—ran about the room like shrieking children, jumping over benches and faceplanting into the floor as they scrambled after the nug. Crawling under tables. Slipping on spilled drinks. Trampling fingers. Edric simply cackled from his corner, of course: the ‘Boss’ was far too reserved to join in the fun.
A flash of pink darted across her periphery. Revka dove under the table, pouncing on the nug with a triumphant ‘aha,’ but her grip was tenuous. The creature wriggled away, leaving her and her favorite gray shirt grease-stained past salvation. She cursed under her breath.
“Come back,” Revka exclaimed, crawling after it. It ran under the keg table, towards the wooden bars partitioning the rest of the room from the back office. If she hurried, Revka could catch it before it reached the bars. She reached out to snatch, it wriggled away. She tried again, but to no avail. She nearly had it when the nug slipped through the bars to the safety of the office.
“Damn it, get back here,” Revka said, reaching through the bars, her groping hands grasped for the nug cowering just out of reach. She looked about the room. What had begun as a nug hunt had devolved into a wrestling match in one corner, several discouraged dwarva drinking off their sprains, a few sleeping under the tables, and an earnest search in another part of the room. If she stood and opened the door, it would alert the others, and that wouldn’t do, not at all.
Revka eyed the partition before her: the bars seemed wide enough apart for her to fit. She prided herself on her curves, but she wasn’t large; she could’ve squeezed through these bars, back in her twenties, and she hadn’t changed that much…
Revka Cordelia Cadash learned the hard way that she had, indeed, changed much more than she had realized over the years... and all the sweets she’d eaten had gone to her hips.
Her eyes went wide, the size of platters. The curves she had been so proud of not five minutes prior, it seemed, betrayed her in the worst manner imaginable. Revka sucked in her gut and shimmied, pulling herself through the bars inch by inch. She tripped on her own feet on the way out, landing on her broken ribs.
“Agh!” she bit her knuckle to stifle the shout. “Son of a nug-humping bastard, that hurt.” There was a soft coo above her head; Revka craned her neck to see the poor nug, trembling pitifully. Her heart softened.
“Frightened you well, didn’t we?” she asked, slowly extending her hand. The nug flinched.
“Shh, I won’t hurt you,” she whispered, “I think you’ve gone through quite enough in the name of fun.” The nug slowly crept towards her, nuzzling her fingers. She scoffed a laugh.
“Come on, you lucky nug,” she said, gently scooping it up and making for the door. “You’ve made me a nice bit of coin; no soup pot for you.” She balanced the nug on her hip as one did a toddler while digging her key from her belt pouch. She unlocked the door and sauntered into the fray.
“Alright, pay up, fun’s over,” she called, mounting a chair and holding the nug aloft. “Wounded against the wall for treatment. The rest of you, clean up this mess. Verdin, fetch the healer, we have…” Her eyebrows rose in surprise. Fourteen dwarva leaned against the heavy wooden crates and shelves, with injuries ranging from black eyes to sprained wrists and loose teeth.
Revka shook her head and sighed. “Make that two healers, Verdin. Come on, Lucky: you’re getting a bath.” The nug squirmed as she filled a bucket with water and found a mostly in-tact bar of Antivan soft soap she’d ‘borrowed’ from their stock. She plopped down in her seat at her cousin’s table.
“Did I hear you right? ‘Lucky?’ You named it?” Edric asked. “You broke your ribs for that thing.”
She shrugged, scrubbing the nug with a rag. “Won me eight sovereigns, though. Which, ahem…” she tapped the table expectantly. Edric grumbled and tossed the coin on the table, rolling his eyes at her glee.
“Lucky the Nug,” he mumbled. “You’ve definitely drunk too much.”
“Now, now: don’t bad-mouth your nephew, he’s a good little nug—” no sooner had the words left her mouth, did the nug upset the bucket and send a deluge of water cascading across the table and onto the floor. She grimaced when Edric picked up a sopping Wicked Grace card.
“Hang them up to dry,” she said, scrambling to salvage the situation. “They’ll be good as new—oh dear.” The poor Knight of Wisdom’s eyes had run, gray rivulets meandering down his cheeks as though he was in tears.
“‘Lucky.’ He’s lucky he’s not my sodding dinner,” Edric groused, collecting his soggy cards and departing for the office. Revka fell back in her seat, blowing out all her air.
When Revka Cadash had agreed to a ‘Wicked Grace night with the crew,’ she most certainly did not expect this.

Dragon Age coffee shop Au
@athena1138 here’s the au you asked for.  Also I’m willing to take more suggestions for au head cannons if anyone is interested. Also @herald-divine-hell I know you like inquisitor x leliana and thought you might be interested.  If not just ignore it no pressure.
I’m willing to do dragon age (no character critical), also a bit rusty with da2.  Still do it but it might take longer and no promises with da2.
Skyrim-  suggest specific characters or guilds
And galavant, just need an au
Also I’m chill with most ships unless it somehow triggers me
Also this has inquisitor x leliana, inquisitor x vivenne and inquisitor x varric since I did a ship headcannon for everyone mentioned. Also if this sounds really spaced out, I just finished typing it so I feel blech.
ao3
The cofee’s shop’s name is Skyhold and its downtown, Haven.
Cadash, Adaar, Trevelyan and Lavellan are the baristas.  The 4 of them always try to help each other get their love interests.  My headcanons on how each origin would flirt with the LI. You can mix and match to fit your inquisitor, it just forced me to make four romance scenarios just for the inquisitor. I will also reference these flirting headcanons using their names because it’s easier than re-explaining the headcanon.
Lavellan draws flowers and hearts on their LI’s cup and the LI keeps all of the cups because they always felt that they would be destroying actual art throwing their cup away.  (Too pretty for the trash).
Adaar wrote love poetry on a napkin and was embarassed as fuck when their muse finds it
Trevelyan always tries to serve their LI and tends to make a fool of themselves. They spill coffee on themselves multiple times around their love interest.  Sometimes on said LI.  Trevelyan just finally got fed up on embarrassing themselves and wrote their number on the cup of coffee they just made for their LI.
Cadash I think would be more upfront then the other 3.  They would make horrible coffee puns when they flirt until they just get fed up and ask their LI on a date, using more coffee puns.
Joesiphine owns the coffee shop and is the reason that it is so successful even if it is in a very small town.
Lelianna is her roommate and checks in on her as often as she can.  She tends to stay and people watch if Josephine doesn’t need help.
Varric is an author that moved to Haven because Kirkwall was bugging him too much to write in peace.  If you ship him with Bethany or Hawke, they got married and came here too.  Skyhold is his favorite place to write.
Sera is a college drop out and she and her old college buddies meet up at Skyhold for coffee every week.  She also got really talented at spray painting murals.
Solas is the professor of the nearby university.  He would either teach philosophy, art or history.  He comes for coffee before and after classes.
Cole is studying psychology and sometimes people watches with Lelianna.  He tries to help people if he spots someone struggling during these people watches.
Iron Bull volunteers as a highschool football coach.  He is a mechanic and he brings donuts from Skyhold for The Chargers (the football team).  He makes a living as a mechanic and when he gets coffee just for himself he people watches  with Lelianna and Cole.  He also sometimes fixes things at Skyhold.
Dorian goes to the shop after visiting the library and drinks coffee and reads.  He sometimes gets a pastry after he’s done reading.
Vivienne currates an art museum and tends to order large quantity of coffee for her coworkers.
Blackwall goes on early morning fishing trips and gets coffee before hand.  He invites some of the people in the shop.  He can sometimes get Bull to go.
Cassandra and Cullen work together and carpool.  They get coffee before work.
Ok how romances work with everybody including non romanceable companions.
At first Cassandra would roll her eyes as the inquisitor flirted with her as they made their coffee, but as time went on they grew on her. Cassandra sometimes after dropping Cullen home after work will return to Skyhold to see the inquisitor.  After the inquisitor noticing this bought a bouquet of fake flowers (so they don’t die) and starts giving her a flower with her coffee.   Cullen thought it was amusing when he first saw this happening. It took several months before the inquisitor managed to get the courage to ask her out.  They wrote a poem on her cup to ask her out and bought a real bouquet of flowers to give her.
Cullen is a blushy mess every time he goes to Skyhold.  Though when he practically drags Cass to the coffee shop, so they can get their earlier, you would have thought he was going somewhere where he won’t embarrass himself.  If any of the other three that isn’t Trevelyan is who he has a crush on, Cass is wary because Cullen keeps spilling coffee on her when he sees them.  If it is Trevelyan, Cass just goes to the other side of Skyhold, because they both keep spilling coffee on her.    And I have a couple theories on how they would date.  Cassandra gets fed up getting coffee stains on her clothes and forces Cullen to ask her out, saying she won’t drive him to work anymore.  Or a barista sick of cleaning up spilt coffee will tell Cullen about the inquisitor’s crush or the same barista gets creative and makes an elaborate plan with Cassandra to get the two of them to confess their feelings.
Vivenne can’t stay overly long during her visits because she has to get back to work but she will show up more frequently and sometimes she shows up to buy coffee for herself and she stays to talk to the inquisitor.  She invites the inquisitor to all the museum's events she helped make and of course the inquisitor can go for free.  She will come in one day and just ask point blank if they want a date, wearing her fanciest clothes and they go to five star restaurant.
Dorian comes in with a book and after work the inquisitor would find a copy of the same book.  And the next time they saw Dorian they would talk about the book they just read and making a note of the book he was reading now.  This will go on for a bit and Dorian would get suspicious.  He will find out when he finished a book quicker than usual.  He comes to the coffee shop and saw the inquisitor reading the book he just returned.
Sera fell for the inquisitor the moment she saw them spit in the coffee of some jackass screaming for his coffee to get done quicker.   She stayed until Skyhold became less busy and strikes up a conversation with them.  The two of them became quick friends and Sera and them will have a small prank war whenever they see each other.   Nothing to get the inquisitor fired but enough to make their work more fun.    The inquisitor asked her out when Sera fell asleep.  They wrote their number on her face with the word “Date?”.
Blackwall and the inquisitor always had a quick chat  in the mornings and talked about how they have been.  But when their feelings became romantic they became less talkative.  The inquisitor would be the first person he would go to when he wanted to go fishing with a friend and they would always try to go on their days off.   He would also carve little wood trinkets for them and the inquisitor had shelves of tiny wooden sculptures in their home.  When he confessed his feelings he carved them a little wooden heart to give them.
Iron Bull,  so many bad puns, so much pain.  It’s worse if it’s Cadash and their puns.  The Iron Bull and them would start with a friends with benefits situation.  After he noticed the barista checking him out a few too many times.  Though it doesn’t take long for them to catch feelings.   I think one of them would be able to confess before bluritng it out drunk or during sex.   But after that they would be chill and The Chargers love the inquisitor and thinks they make the coach happy.
Solas normally would just go in and out quickly, not saying a word to anyone.  But if he falls for the Inquisitor that would change.  He would visit more frequently and stay for long periods of time.  He would sometimes bring tiny flowers to stick behind their ears, giving him a chance to touch them. He would say things that would make the inquisitor swoon if they weren’t at work, instead they turn red and have their knees feel weak.  He also has a sketchbook full of drawings of the inquisitor.  During slow days the inquisitor would chat with him.  Solas had to go to the bathroom on one of these days and forgot he left his sketchbook on the table.  When he returned he found the inquisitor flipping through his sketchbook, looking absolutely shaken to their core.
Josephine is hesitant about starting a relationship with the inquisitor.  Because technically she’s their boss.  It would be inappropriate.  It doesn’t stop Lelianna from shipping it.  Lelianna befriends the inquisitor and invites them to go places with her and Josie.  Then Lelianna would get sick everytime.  Josephine asked Lelianna to stop.  Lelianna promises to stop if Josephine asks the Inquisitor out.   Josephine refuses to go on anymore of these trips, so Lelianna wrote a note asking the Inquisitor out and to meet Josie at their house.  Josephine was shocked when she opened the door and found the Inquisitor said that they were supposed to go on a date.
Lelianna and the Inquisitor got to know each other during the times when Lelianna would visit and Josephine was busy doing something else.    It started off innocent enough but soon both of them found out they had a lot in common.  Which soon made them realize that the other is very cute.   As time went on their conversations became more flirty and heated, until one day Josephine caught them kissing when she decided to come to work on a day off to fill some paperwork.
Cole noticed during one of his people watching days that the cheerful barista who was always nice to him looked like they have been crying.  He went up and ask them what was wrong and they just smiled and said nothing.  Cole dropped it until the next day he brought a movie that Lelianna said always made her happy.  When he explained this to the inquisitor it caused a smile to spread to their face.  He found out the inquisitor’s boy/girlfriend just cheated on them. Cole kept bringing stuff he knows makes people happy at first because he wanted to cheer them up and after because he liked their smile.  One day when he was planning to give a teddy bear to them the inquisitor held up a movie and asked if after work he would like to watch a movie with them.
Varric wouldn’t even have to order anything, he spends so much time there all the baristas knew what to get him, so the fact that a barista knows what he wants before he tells them isn’t unusual. What is unusual is the same barista for months being the one to give him his coffee.  He didn’t say anything, afraid that he would spook them.   They would talk about Kirkwall and where the inquisitor was from.   One day as the inquisitor was closing up shop,  Varric asked if them if they wanted to go on a date.  He later took them to Kirkwall to meet his friends.

1. What is your Inquisitor’s name and race? (and small characterisation/backstory because I won’t shut up about my OCs)
Duuuude, I have like 17 Inquisitors by now… XDBut anyway, here they are, as ordered as possible.
The Dwarves:
Meret, Craeg, Arno and Eguzkia Cadash. Zelma Aeducan.
Tumblr media
Related only by name, Eguzkia bears the maiden name of her mother, who originally was a baker in Orzammar and ran away to the surface with a member of House Helmi who loves his wife and daughter deeply, despite them being lower caste. She and her mother were hired to provide their culinary arts to some nobles at the Conclave and it was only due to a chain of coincidence, that the young dwarf ends up being Herald of Andraste.
Tumblr media
Meret’s mother, on the other hand, was indeed a branded casteless who worked for the Carta. Her surface-born son followed her path due to having to provide her medicine for her chronic cough. One of his heist targets, a Tevinter mage and scholar in exile, sees the young dwarf’s intellectual potential and hires him and his mother as apprentice/bodyguard and housekeeper. A decade later, the trio’s interest in the Conclave is only marginal; the Tevinter, Lydus Maro, had planned to make the pilgrimage to the Temple of Sacred Ashes for religious reasons only and by chance, all three of them survive the Conclave, mostly thanks to the distance Lydus and Ama have kept to the temple. Of course, the following scandal with a dwarf of all people being the Herald of Andraste, and with him having a Tevinter “magister” advanced in years as a friend and lover does not help the fledgling Inquisition gaining approval or attention in its first days.
Tumblr media
Azelma was the second child of King Endrin Aeducan but after being framed for the murder of Trian, she was exiled to the deep roads. Unfortunately, she never managed to reach the Grey Wardens in time and instead joined the Legion of the Dead, to give her exile and death-in-name a meaningful purpose. A darkspawn emissary’s fire bolt nearly killed her and left one half of her face disfigured and the corresponding eye blinded and ear tingling. She follows some suspicious darkspawn activities to Haven and tries to warn the Divine. Her amnesia is worse than with any other Inquisitor in their respective time-line, for she can remember almost nothing about what happened in the two weeks before the Conclave.
Tumblr media
Craeg is a surfacer who’s never been to Orzammar in his entire life, but as the resident bouncer at his favourite tavern, he had to deal with so many Carta dwarves who were, in fact, real casteless dwarves from the streets of Dust-Town which left for a better (if criminal) life, he decides one day to get one of those infamous face tattoos on his cheek as well. He was probably drunk when that happened. His reason to be at the Conclave was, as with most of my characters, purely business-related but since he has a talent for stumbling right into trouble, it was almost no coincidence that he picked up the orb.
Tumblr media
Arno left his family the moment they declared he’d be married to a member of the Smith Caste and used the anonymity of the Surface to embrace his real identity and change his name from Nora to Arno. He picked the last name Cadash for he knew it was a quite common name among Carta-members and he was sure this would sound believable enough. He loves hitting stuff and wearing armour that conceals some parts of his physique. Smuggling Lyrium as a quick, if dangerous, source of income was good enough for him and especially after the downfall of the Circles, Templars were way too eager to keep their line of supply working, so he did’t ask many questions.
The Elves:
Ilargian, Meretari and Udane Ibaiguren.
They were taken in by clan Lavellan when the Ibaiguren were destroyed during events of the “Three-Queens” era in 9:17 Dragon. Only few clan members survived.
Tumblr media
Ilargian is the oldest of the trio. In the worldstate where he becomes Inquisitor, he and his Starkhaven-born wife Maeve Ameslari, n elf-blooded healer and secretly self-taught hedge-mage, are on the run from the Mage-Templar War. They met a few years earlier when she was in temporary, contract-bound slavery for a Tevinter slave hunter company and escaped together. Now, he tries to get first-hand information about the outcome of the Conclave and decides to go there as a spy for his small, growing family. Being separated from his loved ones really tears on his nerves and sanity and sometimes only the companionship of the mysterious spirit boy can ease his pain and calm his fears, so he can sleep soundly at least during some nights.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meretari and Udane are half-sisters with a ten-year age-gap and while the older, Meretari, has a few childhood memories of her mother, two dads and twin-brother, the younger is named after Meretari’s mother who, in this worldstate, did not survive the flight to clan Lavellan but is kept in dear and loving memory by her husbands. Udane the Elder was also a cousin of Merrill’s mother and for Varric, the resemblance between Meretari and Hawke’s Dalish companion in Kirkwall is almost too uncanny to bear.
Ondras and Oroilora Lavellan
Again, these two are only related by their clan’s name, but are neither siblings nor cousins. Instead, O was sent to Clan Lavellan after her magic manifested, for Clan Sabrae already had Merrill as Marethari’s first.
Tumblr media
Ondras could be the epitome of a bratty teenager who is more interested in partying and flirting, if he didn’t also show a deep care towards others and their daily struggles. For most people, he makes the first impression of a very flamboyant youth who neither hides his good looks nor sexuality and some smell a scandal just waiting to happen. Despite his young age - he barely got his vallaslin before he volunteered to spy on the Conclave - he is an excellent marksman and caring and patient companion to those he grows friends with.
Tumblr media
Oroilora is the keeper’s First and takes her elven pride and distrust towards humans a bit too seriously, but then again, she can’t be blamed for this. A few months before she got her vallaslin, the young mage encountered a troupe of noble-born hunters, who decided to declare the elf their “special” prey. She barely survived this encounter and chose Elgar’nan as her vallaslin and swore to hunt down and kill the humans who hurt and humiliated her. This hunt lead her to the Temple of Sacred Ashes.
Manon Vallon
Tumblr media
Manon is one of the few survivors of Celene’s purge of Halamshiral’s Alienage. She was hired as a guard by an Orlesian hedge-knight who bears little love for the Empress’s actions during that night but also needs cheap muscle to protect his estate in the Dales from the brooding civil war. He watched her slaughter some of Celene’s soldiers in the streets outside the Alienage and that settled the deal for him.Manon was his bodyguard at the Conclave, even though she rather wanted to stay behind at her new home to protect her fellow servants, but had little say in the matter, which made her furious at first, but upon her return to the estate, she was glad her fortune turned out like this. She immediately put the whole remaining household under the Inquisition’s protection and retaliated upon the marauders for what they’ve done there.
The Humans:
Maxim, Irene, Roxana, Sebastien, Henry and Jean-Luc Trevelyan.
While Roxana and Jean-Luc both have only little memories of their family and spent most of their lives in the Circle, both have different approaches towards magic and the ongoing war.
Tumblr media
Jean-Luc, who was certain he would die of old age in his Senior Enchanter bed, is afraid of the open and of rain and enjoys staying by the fireplace, neck deep in his studies, now wields a green glowing thing on his hand, has to venture through mud and snow and what not and the only light at the end of the day is having conversation with his fellow researcher Minaeve or the heart-warmingly charming Ambassador Montilyet.
Tumblr media
Roxana on the other hand thinks the war has been inevitable and considers it her duty to fight in it, to make mages’ lives safer. She holds no grudge against Templars in general, but then again, not every Circle was like Ostwick’s and not all Templars are nice people.
Tumblr media
Irene served as a Templar for most of her life and while she takes her duties very seriously, and disagreed with Meredith’s leadership when she was stationed in Kirkwall, she can’t bring herself to fully trust mages, after having seen them being possessed or killing her friends with blood magic. She and Cullen know each other since their days in the Kinloch Hold Circle and even though she is a woman beyond her forties and at least for a while was above him in rank, she highly respects him and often speaks back with him when things have to be decided.
Tumblr media
Sebastien is the illegitimate child of an Orlesian servant girl and one of the Trevelyans when this branch of the family resided in Ferelden around 9:15-9:20 Dragon. As a child, he was bullied by his peers for his parents, his accent, his protruding ears and his weight. That he searched solace in comfort-food, such as cookies, did not really help. Especially not, when the Hero of Ferelden and their entourage stopped at their village and the intimidating Qunari companion of the Grey Warden took the little boy’s cookies and told him he didn’t need more. What did help, was seeing the Hero and their friends in action and learning about Alistair becoming king of Ferelden. After this, the boy decided to become like his new idol and after a decade of fiercely practising the way of the sword, he has become a buff, towering young lad, who still loves cookies and has a thing for those pagan giants from the north.
Tumblr media
Maxim, Max for short, is the youngest of four children, and while his mother was incredibly happy that at least her youngest was a girl, the following years showed that this was indeed not the case with young Max. While his father tolerates his personality and his interest in learning how to ride and fight and his older brothers accept him, his relationship to his mother is rather cold and strained by this circumstance.
Tumblr media
Henry is the least person he himself would have thought becoming a hero of some sorts. The calm, quiet man might be a noble and might be quite proficient with a bow or his dual blades, but never had any ambition to actually do noble or heroic deeds. And after all, isn’t the Grey Warden or the Champion of Kirkwall what a real hero has to look or act like? No, for this orange haired man, this whole Herald business is just one big misunderstanding.
The Qunari
Zdravkos, Shura, Artemia and Ireth (though I’m not sure whether I will actually play the latter, due to her being already part of an Elder Scrolls crossover, where she is Dragonborn)
Tumblr media
Zdravkos is the son of Vashoth mercenaries who serve as regular guards for a quite unimportant Orlesian nobleman and his family. The boy, even though he always knew he was treated a little different than the other servants’ children, grew up to be a kind and gentle, soft-spoken young lad who would, in his teen years, often impress guests of the house with his skill as both a painter and a dancer, despite his height and “savage” origin. When his magic manifested, at the rather high age of nineteen,  his family’s patron arranged for him being taken to the Circle of Montsimmard, where Kos showed quite some talent for both frost and healing magic and successfully completed his Harrowing only a few years after coming to the Circle and months before the Civil War started. While he is no eager player of the Game, he has a talent for it and uses this to his own benefit after becoming Inquisitor.
Tumblr media
Shura is again a vashoth and also a true mercenary. She convinces with her intimidating height - and strange beauty - as much as with her broadaxe. Then again, her abilities as a leader, or at least second-in-command, weren’t just valued by her former company, but also by her fellow Inquisition members.
Tumblr media
Artemia, Temi for her friends, grew up near the Antivan border and as a child, always hoped her horns would curve in a way that’d make it possible for her to use them to swing on them.In the end, she grew faster than her horns and the early death of her Tal-Vashoth parents made it necessary for her to take on any kind of work that would make it possible for her and her younger siblings to survive on their own. She joins the Valo-Kas mercenaries when her siblings are old enough to look after themselves and loses both her horns to enemies’ axes. She’s furious on the battlefield and a whirlwind with her long knives. But as soon as children are in danger she turns into something the Qun would have called a Tamassran, like her mother once was, and fights like a dragon to defend them.
2. Who is your Inquisitor’s best friend? This is indeed not easy to ask. In means of approval, most of my Inquisitors get along well with Varric - Eguzkia Cadash and Henry Trevelyan are declared fans of his work as well. Then again, depending on the character and background, my Inquis have different views and values and since some of them have accompanying NPC OCs, those count, too.For Meret, his lover Lydus is also his best friend - much to the delight of his mum, who is happy her boy is happy. He also becomes friends with Minaeve and both Bram Kenric and Frederic of Serault, the latter eventually engaging in a polyamory relationship with Meret and Lydus.Ilargian would probably be lost without Cole’s presence. The boy knows when to say the right things to the elf and he is the first person he can share his burden of worrying about his family with, while not having to give away too much verbal information about them. He also gets along very well with Blackwall and, to his own surprise, with Dorian.Meretari often sticks to herself, but becomes good friends with Scout Harding, while Udane befriends the Chargers, as does Max.Zdravkos, now that he has the chance, bonds with Vivienne over their similar views towards magic and mages, Jean-Luc and Oroilora become friends with Solas.Irene sticks somewhat to her habits and hangs around with the (ex-)Templars a lot but also becomes friends with Blackwall and Cassandra. For Shura, no-one, not even herself can tell whether she was first friends, then lovers with Sera or if it was the other way around. Fact is, when they can, they plunder the kitchen larder together or prank those who understand fun. Eguzkia gets along with Sera very good, too, but without the romance part. And she sometimes slows Sera down, when a prank seems harmful to her.Pfhhhew, that was a lot. Thank you very much for asking!

Wow
Okay, only now have I realized just how many OCs I have.  I need...to stop?  Maybe?
There are currently around 20+ for Mass Effect, not including Shepards or Ryders.  I have several Shepards but the only one I really connect to is Ness, so she’s my canon.  As for Ryder, I have so many “canon” Ryders it’s ridiculous?  Cass, Alecca, Valor, Eola, and the numbers are climbing.  And then there are the original originals.  The entire Anubis company (Astra, Malisana, Ruck, Nela, Faelon, and Paxus), their less prominent relatives (Nasira, Titanius/Eridus, Valenia, Kalixto, and a currently unnamed female Krogan), Blue Sun merc Rexis (and his Asari “friend” Areza), the Angara (Versae, Miino, two unnamed males, four unnamed females, and one unrelated Angara named Anjet who’s still a WIP), a bunch of WIP characters (including a female Salarian, a male Drell, and several others), and characters I'm working on converting from other fandoms/original works I abandoned (namely a Greenlandic woman named Evnike and an alien named Nahi that I’m not sure if I want to make Drell or Kett).
Then there’s Dragon Age.  I have two twin elf mage Wardens (one from the Circle and one Dalish, which I did play in Origins, but they are not by-the-book HoFs, so I don’t count them as my canon Wardens) named Alim and Myren.  Then there’s my canon HoF, Illys Tabris (though I do also have several Couslands, an Aeducan, and two Broscas), Niana Hawke (plus two other femHawkes and one mHawke), and Shirika Cadash (among countless other Inquisitors of all races and genders that I never bothered to play past the prologue lmao).  Don’t remember the name of my Last Court character.  And my one and only canon Mabari’s name is Rokki.
And don’t even get me started on Elder Scrolls.  Jesus Christ...  I’ve got so many playthroughs and so many characters that all the canon ones I remember off the top of my head are my main Oblivion characters, a Bosmer named Alvazriel and an Argonian named Zeiva, my Skyrim characters, a high elf named Cendrion and an Imperial named Renna, and my Online character, a Dunmer named Ghaila.  Then I have soooooooooo many Khajiits it’s not funny anymore, two more Argonians, an Orc, three or four Nords, and a small hoard of Bosmer.  And then my brother an I have a sort-of joined Khajiit named Doh’Sei, both designed and named after our cat, Dusty (who I call Doh’Sei...most often making a joke with the national anthem.  I literally sing DOOOOOOH SEI CAN YOU SEEEEEEEEEEEEE to him all the time and I think he hates me XD)
Then there are the original works characters I’m trying to rework into fandoms because the project has been abandoned.  For now.  There are too many of them and I’d rather not name them in case someone tries to steal them.  Don’t know if I’ll pick it back up ever or not.
And all those aren’t counting my cringefest hoard of old anime OCs I’ve let die.  I hate myself for making them in the first place tbh.  :/  But yeah, I really need to stop.  Right now.  I have t o o  m a n y but I keep coming up with more.

Rules: Answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions! (A rule I shall not obey, as I just went over 20 followers, lol).
And once again, thank you for the tag, @fereldenpeach!!!
1. Coke or Pepsi: Coke, always. Pepsi is so bad! 2. Disney or DreamWorks: Disney. 3. Coffee or Tea: Coffee, double-double! 4. Books or Movies: Books. 5. Windows or Mac: Windows. I find macs overrated and overpriced. 6. DC or Marvel: Marvel. DC’s only good production is Batman. 7. Xbox or Playstation: PS. 8. Dragon Age or Mass Effect: This is a tough one. I really can’t answer. I wanna say Dragon Age because I am SO immersed in the fandom, and RPing, etc. But... Ok. Dragon Age. 9. Night Owl or Early Rise: Night owl. 10. Cards or Chess: Magic! \o/  11. Chocolate or Vanilla: White chocolate! 12. Vans or Converse: Converse 13. Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash or Adaar: Cadash, always. The other Inquisitor “Origins” didn’t speak to me at all. The Trevelyan origins actually made me almost give up on the game. Someone fix that snob awful voice of the male Trevelyan! 14. Fluff or Angst: Fluff! <3 15. Beach or Forest: It depends on the beach. A crowded beach in Brazil? Forest. A cold day by a bonfire on a rocky beach in Newfoundland? Beach. 16. Dogs or Cats: Cats. I love dogs, but their need for constant affection is more than I can handle. 17. Clear Skies or Rain: Clear skies. Although I love snow, I HATE rain! 18.Cooking or Eating Out: Eating out. I hate cooking. @element-104, my wife, loves it, but Maker, I can’t understand how someone can spend more time preparing something than eating it. 19. Spicy Food or Mild Food: Mild. I have a meek tongue. 20. Halloween/Samhain or Solstice/Yule/Chirstmas: Yule! Bring those logs, butcher the cattle! 21. Would you rather forever be a little too cold or a little too hot: A little too cold. There is nothing you can do about the heat. 22. If you could have a superpower, what would it be: Mind reading/telepathy. I wanna know ALL the secrets! I do love me some gossip... 23. Animation or Live Action: Animation. I love animations. 24. Paragon or Renegade: Paragon. The Renegade paths has some choices I could never make. That being said, this Paragon goes Renegade on some asses on occasion. 25. Baths or Showers: Showers. I don’t have the patience for baths. 26. Team Cap or Team Iron Man: Iron Man! 27. Fantasy or Sci-fi: Both! As long as they are internally consistent. 28. Do you have three or four favorite quotes? If so, what are they?
“My thought is me: that's why I can't stop. I exist because I think… and I can't stop myself from thinking. At this very moment - it's frightful - if I exist, it is because I am horrified at existing. I am the one who pulls myself from the nothingness to which I aspire.” - Jean Paul Sartre, the Nausea
“Perhaps its inevitable, perhaps one has to choose between being nothing at all and impersonating what one is.” - Jean Paul Sartre, the Age of Reason
“I think with my liver” - Fiodor Dostoiesvsky, Notes from the Underground
29. YouTube or Netflix: Netflix. 30. Harry Potter or Percy Jackson: Harry Potter. 31. When Do You Feel Accomplished: When I realize I have absolutely nothing to adult for at least the next couple of days. 32. Star Wars or Star Trek: I really don’t care about any of them. Video Games or Movies: Video Games. 37. Would you rather be the dragon or own the dragon: Be the dragon. 38. Sunrise or Sunset: Sunset. 39. What’s your favorite song: Can’t say. It changes ALL the time. 40. Horror Movies, yes or no: Yes, although I do feel scared. 41. Long or Short Hair: It really depends. For women, other than a shaved or too short, I like them all. 42. Opera or Theatre: Theatre. 43. Assuming the multiverse theory is true and that every story ever told has really happened somewhere, which one of the movie/book/tv show/game/etc worlds would you pick to travel to first: The most peaceful future I could ever dream of, where people can just be in love, relax, do whatever they want and never work. 44. If you had to eat only one thing for the rest of your life what would it be: tortilla wrapped fast food. 45. Older guys or young guys: Older gals, lol. 46. If you could erase any show from TV history, what would it be: I really don’t care that much about TV shows. Can’t say. 47. Singing or Dancing: Singing, although I suck at it. 48. Instagram or Twitter: None. I use only Tumblr and Facebook. 49. Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit: Lord of the Rings 50. If you could create either a sequel or bring back any tv show/movie, what would you choose: X-Men the animated series from the 90s! 51. Who is your movie/tv show character that you are looking up to and why? Movie and TV show only? Not books? Ok, I know there is a very secret movie about it, so here it goes: Daniel, from Sartre’s Age of Reason.  52. If you were ever convicted of a crime, what would it be? Robbing a bank. Instant retirement is too tempting. 53. Anime–subbed or dubbed? Dubbed. I have a hard time relating to Japanese prosody. 54. City or countryside? Countryside, with old country music! 55. Top or Bottom? Oh, top!
56. Company or Solitude: Other than my wife’s company, I do enjoy some me time.
I do not have 56 followers to tag, so answer away all ye who feel like it. Let me know, and I shall tag thee!

COKE OR PEPSI: Pepsi, but only because MountainDew is the best pop ever.
DISNEY OR DREAMWORKS: Disney. Mostly because I’m on a huge Moana kick right now.
COFFEE OR TEA: Tea because coffee is disgusting.
BOOKS OR MOVIES: Books because I can bring them with me places easier than movies.
WINDOWS OR MAC: Windows. All that ishit is overpriced crap.
DC OR MARVEL: Oh you asshole how dare you make me pick. DC but only because Legends of Tomorrow is literally half my life right now.
X-BOX OR PLAYSTATION: Xbox. I’m a Microsoft girl through and through.
DRAGON AGE OR MASS EFFECT: Mass Effect by a slim margin but only because I absolutely adore the way they had the gun system set up in ME1.
NIGHT OWL OR EARLY RISER: Night owl. Mornings should not exist.
CARDS OR CHESS: Cards because I’m better at bluffing than I am at strategic thinking.
CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA: Vanilla.
VANS OR CONVERSE: Converse, seeing as how I’ve never owned Vans.
LAVELLAN, TREVELYAN, CADASH, OR ADAAR: Lavellan. Elf Inquisitor all the way.
FLUFF OR ANGST: Angst. Fuck me up with all the feels.
BEACH OR FOREST: Beach so long as I’m the only one on it.
DOGS OR CATS: Cats by a slim margin because I love my cats to pieces.
CLEAR SKIES OR RAIN: Rain. Give me all the rain it keeps asshole customers at home.
COOKING OR EATING OUT: Eating out - I don’t have to do the dishes then.
SPICY FOOD OR MILD FOOD: Mild.
HALLOWEEN/SAMHAIN OR SOLSTICE/YULE/CHRISTMAS: Anyone who has been on my blog anywhere near the month of October knows the answer to this question.
WOULD YOU RATHER FOREVER BE A LITTLE TOO COLD OR A LITTLE TOO HOT: My answer to this would depend on how much ‘A Little’ would actually be. One degree? five? Eleven? How close to boiling my brain or freezing my veins are we talking about?
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE: Teleportation. So many uses.
ANIMATION OR LIVE ACTION: I may be a big fan of animation but if given the choice I will always prefer live action.
PARAGON OR RENEGADE: Renegade. Punch all the annoying Citadel reporters.
BATHS OR SHOWERS: Bubble Baths when I have the time, otherwise Showers because they’re faster.
TEAM CAP OR TEAM IRONMAN: Team Bucky.
FANTASY OR SCI-FI: Science Fiction gives me space ships and time travel and aliens and ray guns and laser swords.
DO YOU HAVE THREE OR FOUR FAVOURITE QUOTES, IF SO WHAT ARE THEY: no I do not.
YOUTUBE OR NETFLIX: Netflix has no commercials barging in every twenty fucking seconds.
HARRY POTTER OR PERCY JACKSON: Harry Potter. PJ was a fantastic read but I literally grew up on Harry Potter and only discovered PJ a couple years ago.
WHEN YOU FEEL ACCOMPLISHED: I immediately start dancing. Doesn’t matter what I’ve done. Cured Cancer? Dance. Won something? Dance. Beaten a super hard boss in a game? Dance. Successfully remembered an item number at work? Dance. Cooked a meal? Dance.
STAR WARS OR STAR TREK: Star Trek - but only the original series. Janeway is my favourite captain, though.
PAPERBACK BOOKS OR HARDBACK BOOKS: Paperback. They’re typically smaller and easier to fit in my bag so I can bring them everywhere with me. Also they’re cheaper which means I can buy more of them.
HORROR OR ROM-COM: Horror. Rom-coms are ew.
TV SHOWS OR MOVIES: Uuuuugggghhh. They’re both equal, honestly. Movies are over too quickly usually but TV shows you have to wait F O R E V E R to see the whole series assuming the show gets a satisfactory ending in the first place.
FAVORITE ANIMAL: Snakes. I want one. I cannot have one. They are expensive.
FAVORITE GENRE OF MUSIC: While I enjoy most types Pop Punk playlists are what I tend to gravitate to if I’m looking for new songs to listen to.
LEAST FAVORITE BOOK: ANYTHING TWILIGHT OR FIFTY SHADES. MY LOATHING OF THOSE SERIES BURNS WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND FIERY SUNS.
FAVOURITE SEASON: Winter.
SPARKLY OR SHINY!? Sparkly. Give me all the sparkles I love them.
CINEMA OR THEATRE?: Are you asking which word I use for the building I go to in order to see a movie in public or if I prefer seeing movies vs plays?
salty or savory food?: Depends on what I’m eating.
pool or ocean?: Pool because then there’s the chance that it’s temperature controlled.
Favourite Actress: Don’t really have one, honestly.
My question: Favourite Game of Thrones Character?
I tag all my followers to whom question 13 makes sense lmao.
