There aren’t even any little story cutscenes you get for it, damn it!

Though I will say it is fun just doing the cake mini game again, it brings back memories

But also also, there aren’t even any Dark Cacao Kingdom Cookies on the customer list! I mean there’s Milk, but I mean characters relevant to the actual Dark Cacao storyline and such. I mean the list seemed to be a bunch of launch characters, as well as characters relevant in the 2023 updates, of which none of the Dark Cacao Cookies were. Which is kind of sad honestly, they better give us something this year

Edit: I gave the list another look, it’s some launch characters, characters from City of Wizards, Triple Cone Cup and Summer Soda Rock Festa, as well as Black Raisin, Raspberry, Cocoa and Pure Vanilla. Honestly I’m not sure what they’re doing on the list since only one of those characters were relevant last year, so it’s not a consistent pattern. Oh and also the Town Square characters, forgot about them

Valentines Rarepair Bingo!

I had a thought with a friend, and we laughed and decided to make a tiny little valentines event! Two cards, you can pick and choose or mix and match, whatever you like. Tag us and we'll rebagel rarepair works for the rest of February!

If your pairing has under 500 works in their ship tag on ao3, they count. I'm not the police. If it was 498 when you wrote it and 520 when you post it, that's fine. We want to give rare characters more love, not stress out creators.

CHALLENGE MODE: Fill a card with pairings under 50, especially if you have to type in your own relationship tags.

DOES IT HAVE TO BE WITCHER?

No. BUT WHY CANT I WRITE MY FAVORITE BIG CANON SHIP?! DO YOU HATE XYZ CHARACTER?!?!

Sure you can write it. No, excluding the most popular ship isn't 'hate'. Why are you in a rarepair bingo? Those pairings have thousands of works, and more readership than any rarepair fic. My favourite pairing has six fics. Total. I can't stop you writing, but I won't share it, because the point is to give some kisses to rare characters. <3 xo

Happy Birthday, Cake Shop!

Today the Continent Cake Shop is 2 years old. Two years of togetherness, of storytelling. Of support and kindness and friendship. We're a very small server, focused more on the stories we want to tell than a specific fandom. We've built a sense of camaraderie and trust in these last few years. There's love and more importantly, communication. We celebrate each other's successes, support each other's stumbles. We've known loss, as much of the world has, and made new friends. Welcomed new family. Celebrated milestones together. Written and arted for an ever growing variety of fandoms. This past year, past two years, have been a beautiful experience of friendship. I wish the members of the Cake Shop another year of love and care, and I wish the wider tumblr audience the benefit and joy of a friendship built not on affability, but on the trust in being seen as you are and loved. Happy Birthday, Cake Shop.
