I think if there's something that could scare Caliborn, is an adult of his own species, since he seems to think every other living being is inferior, but one of his own, bigger and older than him would be a real menace.

In this scenario, he has no idea Calamity is his ancestor/mother and assumes she's here to obliterate him

According to the skaianet files, Calamity made no distinction between Cal and Callie, she saw them both as her offspring whose survival she needed to ensure, and most likely believes both evil and benign forces are equally necessary for balance, so she wouldn't harm Caliborn even if he ended up predominating and erasing his benevolent counterpart.

One cool thing of the Cherubs concept is that they are never meant to know their parents or children, only their mate, and only for reproduction before the loser is exiled forever. So Calliope does have a family, she's just destined to never see their faces.

ultimately dtwof was written with advanced 90's level awareness of social issues and textually supports trans women & lesbians

while... although it means a lot to me and to a lot of other people, homestuck is written at about 2000's level racism the whole way through
