i actually drew this in april of last year- i’m so glad to finally post it! thank you to everyone who bought and supported the zine 🤍🛩️

since Ao3 is down I'll postpone the posting of my fic until later, so for now might I interest anyone in the Penny and Amelia piece I drew for @topgunzine ? It was an absolute treat to moderate and create for this zine, please keep an eye out for the launch of leftover sales!

Apologies once again for an extended silence. I (Mod Lyss) have been swamped with real life stuff and it's taken me way longer than I'd have liked to get stuff done. But we're almost there!

For a more exciting update: our proof book has arrived!! 🎉 We'll be making a few minor edits to the cover (like adding our foiling stretch goal!) but the inside looks fantastic. We can't wait for you all to get these bad boys in your hands!! 😍

Mod Ara is working on getting all the rest of the merch ordered, and we will continue to provide updates as those arrive.

Ice has already cracked open a bottle when he returns. He holds it out, and once Maverick accepts it, Ice jerks his chin to the array of takeout menus Maverick left on the kitchen island, now spread out and rearranged. “Pick one.”

“Whose house is this, exactly?” says Maverick, with less bite than he means to.

“The DOD’s,” says Ice. “There’s nothing in your fridge.”

“I’m aware.” Maverick rounds the island, putting it between them. “Hungry already? It’s only four.”

“Have you eaten at all today?” Ice rotates one of the menus so that it faces Maverick right side up. His watch flashes silver with the motion. “Pick one,” he repeats.

“I can take care of myself.”

“I know,” says Ice. “Humor me.”

finally posting my spotlight/preview for @topgunzine !! I have an art piece too that I'll share on my art blog in the next few days, but for now you get the fic :]

Mav’s watching the two of them, something indescribable lurking on his face, fists clenching and unclenching at his sides. Ice feels his own fingers twitch with the unbidden urge to grab his hand, but he shoves them into his pockets.

Bradley squirms out of Carole’s arms then, mouth running a mile a minute. Ice misses most of it, but he catches the way Carole leans forward to whisper in Bradley’s ear, the ways his eyes go wide before whirling back towards Mav.

When Bradley has his back turned, when Mav is distracted by Bradley begging for ice cream, Carole stands and presses the photo into Ice's hands.

"For his collection," she says by way of explanation, eyes tight at the corners, smile strained. Ice recognizes the comment for the plea that it is and slips the photo into his pocket.

im finally able to post the piece i made for the @topgunzine !! i loved working on this project and seeing everything everyone created for it too! i ofc had to draw my favorite boy and his pilot and i just wanted to draw them on a cute lil ice cream date :3

✈️ MERCH UPDATE ✈️

Our production and shipping mod, Ara, has received the pins, buttons and prints! We are just waiting on the patches and booklets, the former of which were confirmed to have shipped the other day!

We have been having some trouble with our book manufacturer regarding the foiling on the cover, but we are working diligently to get the issue sorted and will hopefully have another update soon when that is resolved!
