HJ: "Roland and Lilith, my, you two have a lot of nerve coming back here."
Lilith: "Please, we were the best vault hunters you ever hired."
HJ: "You betrayed me!"
Roland: "You are a genocidal maniac!"
Tyreen, pointing at Lilith and Roland: "You said you were going some spiritual retreat!"
Lilith: "Namaste."
Troy, pointing at the BL2 VHs: "And you're supposed to be dead!"
The BL2 VHs: 'We got better?"

for the sake of my own mental stability i chose to not only block out the entire calypso’s island chapter in botl but also just choose to believe that the magic of the island is what really was making percy so infatuated with calypso
bc what do you MEAN calypso is prettier than aphrodite… AND HE SAID THIS THREE DAMN CHAPTERS AFTER ANNABETH KISSED HIM… AND IN THE PREVIOUS BOOK HE JUST SAID APHRODITE LOOKED LIKE ANNABETH
therefore, for the sake of my own health, i chose to believe that whoever washes up on calypso’s island is just automatically immediately “in love” with her and that’s where the challenge of staying with her or leaving the island comes from

Yknow what fuck it we ball
I think it’s about time I ramble about how I think sirens born with their powers should be different from the rest (below the cut)
How do folks born as siren come to be?
You see, born sirens happen when the previous owner of the power dies without choosing anyone as a successor and there’s no one anywhere near who is “suitable” for the power.
In that case, what the power does instead is it travels to a forming embryo. It will then have a major impact on the development of the future baby, making it have strange features seen on no other human.
Such sirens can also be called “full sirens”, as the power has always been part of them.
Also, the mothers of such sirens get a fraction of power as well, though it’s very limited.
So far, known full sirens are commandant Steele, Maya and the Calypso twins.
What special traits are we talking about?
There’s a few things.
- The most noticeable one is probably the tattoos. Full sirens are born with tattoos present on both sides of their body. Also, unlike the classic google map cursor heart tattoo, full sirens have a different heart tattoo which’s appearance depends on the power.
- They tend to be very tall (except for Tyreen she’s still a tiny motherfucker)
- Their hair colour is naturally the colour of their power (looks at Maya hey now you dont have to spend so much on hair dye!)
- Their pointed ears tend to be longer than the avg siren ears
- Their eyes are really special: sclera is black, irises are often multicoloured to really fit the power (example: Maya’s irises have the colour scheme of the phaselock bubble) and their pupils can adapt to the dark to a cat’s extent
- Fangs fangs fangs!! Their teeth are sharp and they have vampire like fangs
- They overall have more ease with their abilities, as they were born with them and it’s a part of them.
- They can read eridian writings with enough practice
- They can see past sirens and know who will be the next ones.
- When a full siren looses a limb, their tattoos will form a new limb by simply following the pattern of the missing limb as if it was there, but theres just. The tattoos. Idk if yall get what i mean. It works as a limb, its just a magic one!
- Im still thinking about this and the idea pf slapping a reference to mythology sirens into this. Yknow, either by slapping feathers or feathers AND wings on em. We get silly!!
- And other possible ideas im putting in the could be born siren traits! Claws! Eridium smoke breath! Coloured skeleton! Who knows, I’m experimenting!
Anyways that was my ted talk of full sirens. If you have any more ideas on that feel free to share em!! This idea is still much a wip!!🍿

Analysis on why BL2 villain works better than BL3
Argument under cut.
The reason why the BL2 villain is better than the BL3 villains is because they actually lead up to Jack. It makes sense for him as a villain. In one echo log, Jack kills Steele [Your Lilith / commander for BL1], and it's one of the first echo logs that you get. If you play BL1, you will notice that Angel is there, and that's because she's always been trying to help you, which makes her being Jack's daughter more powerful.
Whereas with BL3 villains, there is no setup, they just appear and we're supposed to have a hatred to them, we're supposed to dislike them, so the writers made it so that they constantly insult us [but not in a good writing way], and kill of one of the previous vault hunters in a way that doesn't make sense, because at least with Roland's death, it was sudden, like a jumpscare sort of. Whereas Maya's death feels more like a shoehorn so we are forced to dislike the cringe twins, and like Ava, even though they didn't write Ava properly and made her than CL4PTR4P.
