Canadian Lynx Kitten
"The Canadian Lynx (Lynx canadensis) is a North American mammal of the cat family, Felidae. It is a close relative of the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx). Some authorities regard both as conspecific. However, in some characteristics the Canadian Lynx is more like the Bobcat (Lynx rufus) than the Eurasian Lynx. With the recognized subspecies, it ranges across Canada and into Alaska as well as some parts of the northern United States. With a dense silvery-brown coat, ruffed face and tufted ears, the Canadian Lynx resembles the other species of the mid-sized Lynx genus. It is larger than the bobcat, with whom it shares parts of its range, and over twice the size of the domestic cat."

favourite animal??
I love a lot of animals so I will give you my TOP TWO favorites (with pictures)
Tumblr media
1: Canada Lynx (Lynx canadensis)
Look at him!!! Ear tufts!! Giant paws!!! Fluffy!!!! Vicious predator!!! Incredibly good animal. I've seen two in the wild and they're always smaller than I think they will be.... the big paws are so they can walk on top of the snow instead of sinking into it!
Tumblr media
2: Pangolins (extant species of the family Manidae)
There are eight species of pangolin, four in Africa and four in Asia! They are the most trafficked nom-human creature on earth, largely because of the mysticism and folk magic around their scales, and are highly endangered. They eat termites and roll into a ball when threatened, and their scales are made of the same stuff as our fingernails!

ENDLESS AURORA INFORMATION
Wolfwood is taking on the guardian of a Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis). Big paws, big fluff. Kitty that looks a bit more canid.
At the moment he'll just have ears and a big thick lynx tail, with claws the return of catboy Wolfwood 2.0 with somehow more cat.
We'll be having a bit of a time over here with transforming, and this mixture of resenting adapting in real time and also being very willing to expend himself for survival.
It's gonna be a time. Anyway, this means he's gonna be a great swimmer in cold water, an agile climber, and an expert specialized hunter.
He can also be found in "ambush beds", small nests made by the lynx to await prey.
Bonus edit from @blankticket that I keep thinking about (glasses added by me):

Top 5 species of cat!
Oho! I do love a good cat. In no particular order:
The classic, our good friends and allies, Felis catus. Maybe a pedestrian choice but I have three of them for a reason, and they're the only ones on this list you can kiss so softly on their little idiot foreheads.
Snow leopards, aka Panthera uncia. I saw a photo of one holding its tail in its mouth and was irrevocably changed as a person. 10/10 creature. The eyes of a friend.
The rusty-spotted cat, aka Prionailurus rubiginosus. One of the smallest cat species in the world, and with such beautiful coloration. I would baby-talk it constantly.
The Canada lynx, aka Lynx canadensis. The only wild cat on this list that I have had the good fortune to see in person. Gorgeous, powerful, with some big ol' paws for optimal toe-bean-to-body ratio.
The caracal, aka... Caracal caracal. I just think they're very extra and I respect that about them. They also make fun sounds, as illustrated HERE.

Did You Know?
The Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis) has disproportionately large, snowshoe-like feet with fur-covered toes that allow these cats to walk more easily on snow and ice.
