I was wondering how close of a copy the Canik was to a Walther PPQ or P99 and how interchangeable the parts are. As it turns out they are VERY interchangeable. So now I introduce the Walnick PP9SF! Enormous shoutout to Frank Xu and Century Arms!My Canik firing pin broke for the second time today (not normally how you start a story praising a company eh?). I posted a bunch of questions on gun forums on Facebook. Not reaching anyone initially I reached out to Frank, who by the way doesn't even know me, and he graciously gave me advice on what to do to keep my gun running. Then, entirely separate from that conversation the director of sales from Century reached out to me directly on Facebook and mailed me two more pins, as well as other great information about the upgrade on the guns. Looks like a simple change of the springs in the gun and the whole problem disappears, which I learned from Frank then from Century's sales director. Every company makes mistakes so I'm really not upset about that. What really impresses me is how excellent their staff and sponsors are at resolving issues that come up and being honest about them. That's some solid integrity right there. So with my worries of future breaking pins taken care of, and with some superb customer service I'll be damn sure to keep my TP9SF if my holster. Love the holster, but I kept losing retention on the pouches. Glock match the other day at RTSP! Did okay. Not super stoked about this target. But I'm kinda happy about that actually. If I shot this target a year ago I would have been STOKED. Now I'm kinda upset by it. Which means I've definitely come a good way! This was all shot one handed. I did have 3 failures to fire, I think I got bad primers and wet powder in my Freedom Ammo. (Long story not their fault). So that far off flier was probably my last shot, which was incredibly rushed after clearing a malfunction. Also rocked my TP9SF for the match instead of a Glock. That's different! I put in the Sprinco PPQ spring in my Canik. I love this pistol, but it is set up from the factory for really hot NATO ammo, and didn't like to eject my light puffy competition loads properly.
