Lunch Meat (1987)
A group of "City kids" get lost, chased around, and killed by a family of backwoods cannibals. Not the first, nor last, no best, nor worst movie to fit that description, and overall as unremarkable as most that do. A movie where things definitely occur, but nothing really happens.

Bones and All is a very affecting cannibal romance that is gross and horny but not as much of either as I expected. Love a cannibal movie…The leads are great in this but fuck me Mark Rylance is amazing…

Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
A movie that I affectionately refer to as "The best movie I cannot recommend." It is very well made, both in terms of filmmaking, and storytelling. To this day it may be the best use of "Found footage" in a film, as the story revolves around the footage, spending the first half setting up questions, which that footage then answers. Rather than spending all their energy trying to convince you that it's real—although they did manage to convince quite a few people of that.
It is however, also a movie with some content that can make it very difficult to watch. Even putting aside the "Product of its time" stuff, the level of brutality, and multiple scenes of actual graphic animal slaughtering, make it the sort of thing that's really only enjoyable for its historical significance to the horror genre.
If you do want to watch it, there is a "Cruelty free" cut available which cuts out the animal killings. And that would be my recommended viewing format.

Grave/Raw from the maker of Titane is maybe even grosser but still startlingly sweet in ways. The hardest stuff to handle in this isn’t even the cannibalism, that hazing initiation period sounds like hell frankly.
