Since my Poppa (mom's dad) died a few years ago, my Nanna (mom's mom) didn't want a big Christmas tree as she thought it was too much work to put up herself and then take down a month later. But we know how much she loves Christmas trees so my sister and I looked for a little Charlie Brown size tree and we found it before Target left Canada and she's loved that tree ever since.
This year will be her first at her new Lodge after leaving her home and my aunt (a regular Scrooge) wanted to throw that little tree away into the garbage because it was 'broken'. And by broken she meant the lights didn't turn on any more; a problem my mom fixed by putting new batteries in the thing. My aunt was too cheap to get new batteries for something that brings my Nanna some yuletide cheer and was ready to throw this lovely little tree out:
Unfortunately, after we got it working, my Nanna felt there wasn't enough room for it (she has trouble moving around and so tries to keep the clutter to a minimum). So I cleared some space in my room and set it up there.
And today I got some more baubles and some garland to dress it up even more! I want some more lights (I love Christmas lights) but my dad thinks I have enough; what do you all think?
