The throttle body essentially helps the ECU to keep the air/fuel ratio inside the engine within a permissible range. If you want to keep the engine in good working order, you must ensure the well-being of the throttle body.

The throttle body is a device with a valve that regulates airflow into the intake manifold of the engine. If you suspect that there is something wrong with your BMW’s throttle body, reach out to a mechanic immediately.

In general, the throttle body is an important component in the air intake system that is commonly used for controlling the flow of air into the engine for the smooth combustion process.  On the other hand, it can open and close by the throttle plate and is controlled by the accelerator pedal to flow the air into the engine. If the throttle body is damaged, then you will notice the signs defined in the following infographics.

Generally, modern cars like the Bentley have a well-functional throttle body to control the amount of airflow into the engine. In these cars, the throttle position sensor is receiving a signal and relays information about the constant position of the throttle to the dashboard computer. If the throttle body is clogged up or malfunctioning, it will interrupt the flow of air into the engine. Go through the infographics to know about the signs of a bad throttle body in Bentley.

The throttle body is an important part of a car's air intake system. Its job is to make sure that the engine is getting the right amount of air at the right time. If it goes bad, the performance of your Audi A4 engine will suffer. That's why signs of throttle body malfunction in a car should not be ignored.

can we have a lil sumn for niamhy captain please 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 she’s buff n she knows it!
captain charles II n.charles
you should have clocked she was up to something the moment that cocky little smile had settled on her face when you woke up in bed together, instead assuming it had something to do with the activities you'd partaken in last night, the evidence which was scattered across both of your bodies.
"good mornin gorgeous." the brunette had grinned as you finally joined her in the kitchen after your shower, a plate of breakfast waiting you as she pushed you to sit down at the table, kissing your cheek and nudging your chair in.
"you're awfully chipper for a match day baby." you chuckled at her clearly gleeful demeanor as she tucked into her omelette with a shrug. "just excited to be back, first game of the year!" niamh beamed as you hummed, falling into regular conversation.
but now as you sat in the stands of stamford bridge watching your girlfriend lead her team out with the captains armband snugly wrapped around her bicep, her behavior all made sense.
you'd of course figured it out for yourself when the team lineup was posted, but by then niamh was warming up and you had no way of being able to yell at her for withholding the news from you.
as much as you wanted to throttle her for the secret keeping you also couldn't deny the sense of pride which flooded you at watching her both play and lead her team brilliantly, the blues bagging yet another win and maintaining their spot top of the table.
knowing your girlfriend always made time for the fans you busied yourself chatting with some of the other girls families who'd been at the game, having met most of them before.
but tired from a hard fought ninety plus minutes you didn't need to wait long, niamh appearing with a few of her teammates up in the box in what you'd deem as record time, the freezing chill of the winter wind also discouraging most of them from staying out with the fans for too long.
meeting her eyes across the room you excused yourself from speaking with millies mum and stepped away, shaking your head slowly at your girlfriend who strode over with the same infuriatingly attractive smirk plastered on her face.
"hello beautiful!" niamh grinned, hands on your hips as she pulled your body into hers, your arms still staying firmly crossed across your chest. "hello captain." you quirked an eyebrow as her grin only widened.
"good surprise hey, thought you'd enjoy it more if you didn't see it coming." niamh shrugged with a smug smile, letting go of your hips to wrench your arms apart and wrapping them around her.
"see? isn't this much nicer babe." niamh sighed happily, moving your arms back over her shoulders as you let them fall limply to your sides, giving in and hugging her properly.
"you truly are insufferable sometimes." you shook your head, your girlfriend kissing your cheek in a silent apology as the two of you pulled away. "ready to go?"
once alone together in the car her confidence tripled, the same smug smile never once dropping from her lips for even a second as she drove the two of you back home.
"surprised it could fit around my bicep you know, being so huge and all. no biggie!" niamh stretched her arms behind her head purposefully flexing as you closed the front door after her, the brunette sending you a wink as you looked on unfazed.
"thats not as cute as you think it is casper." you pinched her cheek and ducked under her arms, finally succeeding in getting the smugness to fade from her features. "casper!" she scoffed in offence, her lack of tan really the easiest way to hit at her ego most days.
"casper!" she repeated with a frown, glaring at you from the doorway of your bedroom as she tossed her kit to the side and you rolled your eyes. "how many times niamh, really?" you huffed, picking it up and moving it to its proper place which was not in the middle of the floor where you'd be sure to trip over it.
"why do you always have to go after my skin? you know it wounds me very very deeply baby!" your girlfriend clutched at her heart dramatically as you sighed.
"you really should treat the captain of chelsea with a little more respect." the smug smile was back as she wiggled her eyebrows at you and you bit the inside of your cheek to stop a smile of your own forming.
"fine. do your dirty washing then, captain." you smacked her cheek playfully as again you ducked under her arm and out the door. but you barely made it downstairs and two steps into the living room before her footsteps thundered down after you and suddenly you were in the air.
"niamh!" you gasped as she spun you around and effortlessly dropped you onto the lounge on your back, pouncing on top of you before you could move an inch. "i said, with a little more respect." niamh grinned wolfishly as you suddenly noticed the new addition.
"oh seriously? you brought it home with you?" you sighed as the bright yellow armband was again wrapped around her bicep. "don't act like you don't love it." niamh winked, sitting back on her heels and making a show of flexing her arms in different poses.
"are you going to be giving up football for body building then?" you shook your head with an amused smile. "maybe i will love, you know about my new pb's i hit in morrocco, i'm basically a tank." niamh sighed continuing to pose and flex.
"too bad body builders need to have a tan then isn't it?" you smirked beneath her as she stopped, arms suddenly either side of your head caging you in as her hair fell around you like a curtain.
"you know this disrespect just isn't acceptable baby." niamh tutted, lips ghosting over yours. "neither is your-" you couldn't finish your words as she kissed you, much less softly or as sweetly as she normally would, often treating you as if you were made of glass and could shatter at a moments notice.
your hands tangled in her hair pulling her even closer as hers squeezed your hips, and before you could even blink she'd moved so that she was sitting up on the sofa and you were sat on top of her, lips not even disconnecting for a moment.
your breath hitched as niamh rolled your hips against hers, using the momentary lapse to slip her tongue into your mouth. "why do you always do that?" you pulled away as she smiled into the kiss. "do what!" niamh laughed, trying to lean back in as you ducked back.
"smile like a twelve year old boy getting his very first kiss!" you chuckled, thumbs tracing down her jaw with a shake of her head. "oh you've properly killed the mood with that." niamh grimaced making you grin.
"its true! every time we makeout you can't help but smile." you shook your head, pressing your forehead against hers. "what i can't be happy to kiss a very pretty girl who just so happens to by some miracle be my very lovely girlfriend?" niamh gasped quietly, rubbing her nose against yours.
"didn't think captains were supposed to be so soft." you teased, pecking her lips a few times but moving your head back as her mouth chased yours to deepen it.
"niamhy!" you laughed as she suddenly stood taking you with her and raced upstairs, your legs wrapped around her waist before suddenly your back was meeting the mattress and again she hovered on top of you.
"how about i show you how captain kisses then?" niamh raised an eyebrow, fingers digging tighter into your hips pressing you down deeper into the bed with a smirk.
"tiny bit of a turn off to speak about yourself in the third person baby." you scrunched your face up with a smile as niamh shook her head and ducked down, smirk melting into a cheeky grin as she flexed her arm and the bright yellow armband tensed around her bicep.
"captain charles disagrees."

Bangtan Christmas drabble 7 - read the rest here.
Min Yoongi only cares about three things. The thrill of drifting, his friends, and cars, in that order. Somehow, you've got under his skin. Part of the Drift Kings AU.
Pairing: Yoongi x f! reader
Rating: 18+
Genre: Street racer/mechanic! Yoongi, smut
Word count: 3.2k
Warnings: Sex, swearing
Min Yoongi knows loneliness. He knows the unrelenting ache of it, the way it permeates every aspect of one’s psyche.
He knows what it feels like to look for a connection that isn’t there.
When he was ten his father took him into work for the first time, and it was then, amongst the smells of engine oil and new paint and pinewood air freshener, that Yoongi discovered his first true love.
He pored over engine diagrams, admired the easy simplicity of every tool falling into its destined purpose, got used to his clothes being stained from tuning up cars all day long.
He’d loved every minute of it, and the truth is, he still does.
Then his cousin Yijin had given him a lift down Mount Samo one day, and 14 year old Yoongi had learned that there was more than one way to soar.
He learned to drive navigating the hairpin bends of Mount Samo, and although he’s perfected the art of drifting up and down it, could do it blindfolded a hundred times over, the thrill of it has never really faded.
He’s picked up a collection of friends over the years, all of whom love the adrenaline of street racing – not knowing what’s round the corner, trusting your own reflexes and instincts to save you when you can barely see for the blood rushing in your veins.
Kim Seokjin, his oldest and closest friend, the chaebol prince who can put together a Supra’s turbo-2JZ engine almost as quickly as Yoongi himself. His sister, a corporate princess who makes Yoongi’s heart soften and the opposite happen to his cock. They’re the two people Yoongi would do anything for, not that he’d ever tell them that.
Jung Hoseok, the gifted mechanic with a heart of gold and the sunniest demeanour Yoongi’s ever been able to tolerate, creature of the night that he is.
Jeon Jungkook, the baby fuckboi of the group, a man with the looks of a god and the persona of a baby deer. Yoongi finds it hard to be anything but endeared by his earnest good nature and anything but amused by his swaggering. Maybe one day the kid will grow into the bad man he so badly wants to be, but Yoongi hopes not. He’s great the way he is.
It’s been a while since Yoongi felt lonely, in fact his life’s pretty good right about now.
And at this exact moment? It’s perfect.
Yoongi’s senses are on overdrive as he swings into a hairpin bend on Mount Samo, tires gripping tarmac sideways. His foot taps the throttle, his hand on the handbrake just in case but he doesn’t need it, he knows the terrain so well his body’s reacting on instinct.
Sideways on he can see Seokjin to his right, composed, barely breaking a sweat as his rear wheels scrape the very edge of the path, inches from the steep drop.
Yoongi catches sight of himself in his own rearview mirror, teeth bared in a feral grin as he shoots out onto the final stretch, so fast there’s nothing to see but black.
He’d normally stop, celebrate his win with a cigarette, but he’s got somewhere to be tonight.
Behind him now, Seokjin’s headlamps flicker in lieu of a goodbye.
Yoongi depresses the horn, a sharp short blast, and then he’s gone.
***
Kang Yubin’s been supplying Yoongi’s father’s garage for years, and Yoongi’s been going to him for car parts since before he knew a spark plug from a catalytic converter.
The Kang warehouse has an unassuming front in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Seoul. Yoongi parks outside the familiar glass door, can see the dim lighting filtering through the tinted glass as he approaches.
He pushes open the door, stops, nonplussed.
Instead of Kang Yubin’s steel-rimmed glasses and grey hair, he’s greeted by you.
Half your face is obscured by a black face mask, your hair up under a baseball cap, but you’re definitely not who he expected to see.
He blinks.
Your eyebrows rise.
‘Are you lost?’ you inquire, an edge to your voice that pulls him out of his surprised reaction and reminds him why he’s here.
‘I was expecting Mr Kang,’ Yoongi replies.
Coming closer to the counter he picks up on a guardedness to your posture, a weariness that you don’t bother to hide.
‘I’m his granddaughter,’ you say, brief. ‘I’m guessing you didn’t just come here to stare at me, what do you want?’
‘Spark plugs – I have a —’ Yoongi breaks off as you get up.
‘I know who you are, and I know what car you drive. Stay here and I’ll get you your stuff.’
You disappear behind a door, return in minutes with a cardboard box.
You pull a box-cutter out of a desk drawer, slit the masking tape, pull the flaps up.
‘Feel free to take a look,’ you say, looking at him.
It doesn’t take long for Yoongi to verify that they’re what he needs.
‘How do you know who I am?’ he asks, as he pays.
There’s a faint spark in your eyes, a flicker so quick he wonders if he’s mis-read it.
‘My grandfather said you were due around this time.’
You nudge your shoulder vaguely in the direction of the screen to your left, a view from the camera overlooking the front of the warehouse. ‘Not many people drive a car like that.’
You take his money, nudge the box in his direction.
‘Pleasure doing business, Min Yoongi. I’ll give my grandfather your regards.’
You’re already looking back down at your phone like you’ve dismissed him.
Yoongi picks up the box, casts another glance at you, and leaves.
He’s still thinking about you when he reaches home.
***
Yoongi’s concentrating so hard on the engine in front of him that he barely hears Seokjin approach.
‘Dinner?’ asks Seokjin, eyes flicking over the V configuration of the 8 chrome cylinders in the custom Nissan with interest.
Yoongi leans back, massages the crick in his neck from leaning over.
‘Yeah. Quick though, the client wants a rush on this.’
They exchange a look.
‘More money than sense,’ Seokjin says, critical.
‘Pays the bills,’ Yoongi counters.
They have similar opinions about rich clients who want their supercars tuned up. It’s rare that a client’s got the ability to do justice to the horsepower under the bonnet of the flashy exteriors.
Yoongi shrugs, goes to wash his hands.
‘Is your sister coming?’ he asks.
Seokjin’s still admiring the engine. ‘Not tonight. Jimin’s in town,’ he says. ‘There’s a race later, if you change your mind. I’m meeting Jungkook after dinner.’
‘Is he still sulking over Mijin?’ Yoongi asks, falling into step beside Seokjin.
There’s no need to confirm where they’re going, they always stop at a tiny restaurant run by an elderly woman who seems utterly unimpressed by their good manners but makes the best broth in town.
Seokjin rolls his eyes, but his tone is sympathetic. ‘You know how it is. People never expect him to be as soft as he really is.’
Yoongi nods. ‘Tell him if she can’t appreciate him she’s the one missing out.’
Seokjin snorts. ‘Tell him yourself, he’ll love it. Are you coming to Seulgi’s party?’
It’s rare that Yoongi goes out at night, he’s busy and he does his best work at night time, both in the workshop and on the streets, but he’d promised Seokjin he’d go.
‘Next week?’ he asks.
Seokjin nods, pushes open the door to the restaurant.
‘Yeah, don’t forget.’
***
Seulgi is a friend of Seokjin’s, they’d dated briefly, years back, but it hadn’t worked out.
She greets Seokjin enthusiastically at the door, the pink flush on her cheeks deepening as Seokjin gives her an affectionate hug.
She beams at Yoongi, and he smiles back because he’s not proof against her cheerful nature.
It’s how he became friends with Hoseok, after all.
‘Drinks, let me get you drinks,’ Seulgi cheers, leading them into her kitchen.
Seokjin’s swept away by Seulgi and her friends, he’s always been a popular guy. He shoots Yoongi a look as he’s pulled into the lounge, which Yoongi pretends not to see.
He lifts his cup to his lips, decides to go outside for a bit.
The deck outside has a few scattered people, mostly couples, some groups.
Yoongi leans against the wall, looks around idly. The throbbing bass of the music feels like a heartbeat. The night is cold and crisp, the skies clear, but there aren’t any stars visible in Seulgi’s backyard.
He lets his mind wander to his next project, restoring a classic Toyota for a friend from the circuit. He’ll need parts.
He wonders if you’ll be behind the counter when he next goes to the Kang warehouse. Then he’s straightening up, unsure if he’s manifested you into reality.
He’s never seen your full face, but he’d know your eyes anywhere.
You’re standing across the deck, looking straight at him, coat open over a dress that shows a hell of a lot more than the hoodie and sweats you had on the last time he saw you.
For the first time tonight, Yoongi feels a prickle of interest.
He’d known you’d be beautiful, there’d been something about the way you carried yourself.
You’re still looking at him.
Yoongi walks over.
‘Who’s manning the warehouse?’ he asks, when he gets close enough.
You tilt your head. ‘Are you really so concerned about my family business, Min Yoongi?’
There’s a mocking note in your voice, Yoongi finds he likes it.
‘You have the best quality parts,’ he says.
Your smile blooms over your face, making your eyes bright. ‘I knew there was a reason my grandfather liked you.’
Yoongi nods to your dress. ‘You look pretty.’
‘Thank you,’ you say. ‘You look pretty too.’
Yoongi can feel his lips curving. Are you flirting with him? Seems like you are.
He’s all for it.
You’re raising your cup now, taking a sip.
In the night time lighting, your lips glisten with moisture and whatever lipstick you’ve got on, making him wonder what they’d look like around his cock.
You eye him like you know exactly what he’s thinking.
Yoongi says, ‘Do you like cars? Want to see mine?’
***
You’ve got your legs either side of his torso, your ass bouncing in his lap, and Yoongi’s front seat’s reclined all the way to make room for you to ride him.
The lines of your beautiful body are reminiscent of a triumph of masters of Italian design. Long smooth thighs, tightening around him with every rhythmic thrust.
The curves of your breasts, bouncing right in his face.
The long line of your neck, head thrown back, the pulse in your throat fluttering as he holds your hips so he can fuck you back, fuck up into your sweet warmth.
His cock fits inside you like he was made for you, and god fucking damn, you feel so good around him he’s on a hair trigger.
Yoongi cups the back of your head, tugs you down so you’re close. Goosebumps prickle your flesh as he tells you how good you are.
Your eyes close as he kisses your bare neck, flicks his tongue against your skin.
You had been whimpering steadily as your arousal dripped down onto him, soaking his balls, pooling at the base of his cock, and as Yoongi picks up the pace he’s gratified by the hitch in your breathing.
Yoongi’s always been damn good at helping his partners find their pleasure, and he’s sure as hell not going to stop now.
Your breasts are still in his face, half out the low neck of your dress, chest heaving.
Yoongi rubs his thumb over the outline of your hardened nipple, and you cry out, muffled with your mouth against his skin but still loud enough to make his ears ring.
His balls tighten up even more as your walls flutter around him, and Yoongi would know you were coming even if you hadn’t gasped it.
God, you’re so sweet and sexy he’s lost.
He can feel your panting breaths against his neck, the weight of your warm body as it goes lax after your peak, the sweet grip of your cunt taking in everything he has to give you as he releases, a pulse of pleasure so intense it sends shockwaves through his skin.
Yoongi’s floating, and like reaching the summit of Mount Samo, he immediately wants to do it again.
You’re looking at him, lips still so swollen and pretty his spent cock gives a residual throb inside you.
‘Like my car?’ Yoongi asks. It’s stupid, but it makes you laugh and he’ll be as stupid as you like if it makes you sound like that.
Your chin lifts, and you say, ‘It’s all right.’
The flash of merriment in your eyes gives you away.
Yoongi laughs. ‘Maybe next time we can get the car started and I can actually take you somewhere.’
‘I don’t know,’ you tease. ‘Are you a good driver?’
Yoongi reaches out, tucks the lock of hair that’s fallen over your eye behind your ear.
‘Let’s find out,’ he says. ‘Where do you want to go?’
***
Yoongi’s thinking about you the next morning when he wakes up. He’d ended up taking you back to your place, where you’d kissed him sweetly at the door and bid him goodbye like a promise to see him again.
His phone rings and he’s still got you on his mind, so it takes a second for him to regroup.
‘The maknae needs help,’ Seokjin says, no preamble. ‘I’m going to swing by yours, be there in ten.’
Yoongi hangs up, wonders what the hell Jungkook’s got himself into this time.
By the time Seokjin arrives, Yoongi’s had time to bolt coffee and change, but Seokjin still raises a brow as he swings into the passenger seat.
As always, Seokjin’s impeccably dressed, dark hair swept back from his forehead like he’s going to his own fucking wedding instead of about to deal with some shit that’s going down.
Yoongi suppresses a yawn, tugs his beanie down over his brow.
‘What’s going down with JK?’ he asks.
Seokjin cuts off another car so smoothly they’re halfway down the intersection before the irritated horn blares.
‘Remember that race the other day? Jungkook beat Seungho fair and square, I was there.’
Yoongi groans. ‘The fuck. I thought we weren’t going to race that fragile asshole anymore.’
Seokjin glances in the rearview. ‘The maknae was still hurting over Mijin, I thought an easy win might make him feel better.’
‘So what’s Seungho done?’
‘Brought in the big guns,’ Seokjin says grimly. ‘Called in some guys from Hongkong. JK’s with them now.’
Now Yoongi’s fully awake. ‘Should’ve taken my car instead of this piece of shit,’ he says.
Seokjin just laughs. ‘Don’t worry about my car, Yoongi. Maybe think of a way to hide that big–ass hickey on your neck.’
‘Suck my dick,’ Yoongi says, like they’re 16 again.
‘Looks like someone already did,’ Seokjin returns.
***
Yoongi parks up outside the Kang warehouse, pushes open the door.
You look up from your phone. Your face mask is off, so Yoongi has the privilege of seeing the way your lips curve in a smile.
‘There’s been a shipment of fuel injectors,’ you say. ‘Want to take a look?’
Yoongi stops just in front of the wooden half-panel that separates you from him.
He tilts his head.
‘Yeah,’ he says. ‘Also, I took my friend’s Honda for a spin today, I’ve got a list.’
He smooths out the piece of paper he’s got folded in his pocket, places it on the counter.
You pick it up, get up. ‘I’ve got you.’
Yoongi runs a hand over the hickey over his neck. ‘I’ve been taking shit all day, about this,’ he adds.
‘Yeah?’ you ask, but you don’t seem the least bit contrite. ‘You did your share of marking, Min Yoongi.’
Yoongi asks, ‘What time do you get off?’
You’re about to answer when the door opens.
Yoongi turns and tenses immediately.
Fucking Shin Seungho.
‘You following me?’ he asks mildly.
Seungho scoffs, doesn’t deign to reply.
‘I’m collecting an order,’ he says to you.
Your face mask is back on, your face carefully blank. ‘Sure, what’s the name?’
When you go into the back to collect it Seungho turns to Yoongi.
Yoongi concentrates on the silkscreen of a cat on the wall behind the counter.
He can feel Seungho’s eyes on his face.
Just try it, fucker.
The fact was, he’d pushed Seokjin’s Honda to its limits beating Seungho’s friends today, and although the adrenaline’s ebbed, there’s a thin streak still running through his bloodstream, and he’s a spark away from igniting.
Seungho takes a step closer, and Yoongi turns to face him like he’s got all the time in the world.
You return just as Seungho opens his filthy mouth.
‘Looks like you’ve paid,’ you say, passing the box across the counter to Seungho.
You pull out the box cutter, slit the package, open it up for him to check, but don’t put it down.
‘Am I going to have trouble here, boys?’ you ask.
Seungho barely looks your way, Yoongi’s always known the man lacks vision.
‘Nah,’ Seungho says finally. He picks up the box, sneers at Yoongi.
Yoongi blanks his expression. There’s no way he’s going to start shit with Seungho in front of you.
The asshole’s not worth it.
As soon as the door closes behind Seungho you put down the box cutter.
The next words out of your mouth surprise him.
‘Shit, you’re hot when you’re mad, Yoongi.’
Yoongi stares at you, flummoxed, then he laughs.
‘Just when I’m mad?’ he asks.
You shrug. ‘Take me out on a date and I’ll tell you more.’
‘How about right now?’ Yoongi asks.
‘Yeah,’ you say. ‘Let’s go.’
***
As your grip on his hair loosens, Yoongi lifts his mouth from your cunt, swipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Helps you tug your panties back up, smooths your skirt back down over your thighs.
He notices you’ve still got his cum in the corner of your lips. As he watches, you flick your tongue out, lick delicately.
His cock stirs with interest, and you act like you know it.
‘More later?’ you ask.
‘Yeah. After I win.’
Yoongi reaches over to help you with your seatbelt, arranging it across your chest, between your breasts, securing it.
You lean forward and kiss him as the belt clicks into place.
Yoongi starts the engine, turns the heating back on because he’s noticed your hands get cold easily.
‘I can drop you off at home before the race,’ he offers. ‘Come see you after.’
‘I want to see you drive,’ you say.
Yoongi wouldn’t say it, but he’s pleased. He knows he’ll keep you safe, it’s a circuit through the city outskirts he’s done a million times, and he’s looking forward to you meeting Seokjin and Hoseok and Jungkook.
He flicks on the lights, rolls into oncoming traffic. Heads North.
By the time he pulls up to the starting line there’s the usual crowd gathered. He parks up next to Seokjin and Hoseok.
In his rearview he can see JK surrounded by people. He’s lost the sad puppy air he had for a few weeks whilst he was pining after Mijin. The kid’s going to be all right, not that Yoongi’s ever had any doubt about that.
Engines all around him are starting up, a deafening series of rumbles.
Beside him, Seokjin waves, and Hoseok smiles so brightly it’s blinding.
The flag waves, and Yoongi accelerates.
Checks on you in the rearview, and you’re as pretty as he remembers.
Min Yoongi’s spent a lot of his life looking for connection, and by his reckoning, he’s doing pretty well right about now.
Lights flash by in a blur.
Yoongi drives.
Author note: And that's a wrap! Thank you for reading, hope you've enjoyed, here's to a brighter 2024. This time last year we were saying goodbye to Kim Seokjin, I can't wait to start welcoming the boys back again. Happy holidays to you all!

Round Eighteen - Qatar GP
“Goddamn this place is hot. I’m sweating my tits off.”
“Are you?” Lando chuckled. “‘cause they still look good to me.”
You rolled your eyes at his flirty wink and continued to try to fan yourself as you scanned your pass at the entrance. “Fuck, this has to be some crime, it’s inhumane to make us race in this heat. How the hell are you wearing a hoodie?”
“It’s comfortable.”
You couldn’t even fathom a response as you stared at Charles, but he just shrugged with a smile and said, “He’ll take it off for the ice bath.”
Your enthusiasm perked at the idea of both a shirtless Lando and submerging into the cold water. Except you knew you would be in your own motorhome where your ice bath was prepped, not able to enjoy the view in McLaren or Ferrari.
“Are you going to be okay in there, mon amour?” Charles asked as they stopped outside your destination. Neither of your boyfriends were happy with leaving you alone, but you hadn’t heard a thing from Lance all week and assumed his father was to thank for that. His son had been absolutely slated online after the video went viral, now he kept a low profile.
“I can handle the big baby,” you said with a nod, cursing the laws that stopped you from kissing them both. “Go, before I get us arrested.”
Lando’s lip curved up into a smirk. “Didn’t we give you enough attention this morning to last a few hours?”
“Non, mon cher,” Charles laughed. “Our sweet will never have enough.”
You hated how your blood began to rush faster from a few whispered words, and they continued to tease you as they went on their way.
Tumblr media
“Remember to hydrate, Spitfire.”
You pressed the button on your steering console and nearly gagged as warm water filled your mouth. It was an effort to swallow but you forced the liquid down knowing you were losing much more from your body through sweat. Your suit was drenched and your eyes stung when even the balaclava couldn’t keep your forehead dry and the sweat ran into your eyes.
“I’m having words with Russell after the race, we can’t drive like this,” you complained again.
“I’m sure he will have a few drivers with the same issue. Sargeant is retiring from the race.”
You lapped the Williams car as it limped slowly into the pits but you couldn’t spare a thought for the rookie as your vision started to blur again. Shaking your head violently, you recovered your focus in time for turn one and throttled through it. Another lap down, too many more to go.
Your head was hazy, and your sight wasn’t much better. You were fairly sure it was muscle memory that kept the car on the track as you didn’t really remember the last few laps after your water ran dry. In all honesty you may not have realised the race was over if it wasn’t for Charles slowing down ahead of you. For a moment you thought you were gaining on him but you weren’t that lucky.
“What were the results?” you panted as you followed Charles on the warm down lap, running over the marbling and ignoring the system settings you didn’t have the energy to enter.
“Verstappen, Piastri, Norris, Russell, Leclerc, you. Nice job.”
“And Stroll?” The lap seemed to be going on forever as you took each turn at a snail's pace. You were hot and itching to get out of the seat that was most definitely burning your asscheeks.
“P11.”
You pulled into the pits and the engine stalled as you failed to disengage it properly. The failsafes clicked in and you fumbled for the harness as the need for fresh air almost suffocated you. Your mouth was too dry and the taste of metal coated your tongue. You didn’t even have the strength to climb over the halo and just slid down to the asphalt.
It took every ounce of will power to stand upright with the intention of making your way to Charles. But, as soon as you were upright it was as if all the blood drained from your brain and it was too heavy to hold up. You tried to take a step towards the ambulances that had arrived but when your foot lifted, the world tipped into darkness.
Tumblr media
Lando searched the crowd as he stepped out onto the podium and waved proudly at his third podium in three races. He had seen Charles before being sequestered to the cool down room but hadn’t caught sight of you. Now he couldn’t find either as he scanned his team's area.
“Can you see them?” he asked Max beside him.
“No, but I saw Charles heading to her car before we left. Relax, she’s probably just chosen an ice bath over you.”
Lando snickered. “I won’t take it personally, I’m fucking cooking here.”
It was Jon who pulled him aside the instant his shoes hit the bottom step at the back of the podium. Lando knew something was wrong the moment he saw the worry etched on his PT’s face. “Max, you should come too,” Jon stated, his hand wringing together. “It’s your sister.”
Jon quickly recounted how you had collapsed from exhaustion trying to get to the ambulance in parc ferme. Charles had reached you first and then they had taken you straight to the medical centre, which was where Lando and Max were racing towards.
The medical centre was busier than either man had ever seen it and they passed Ocon and Sargeant looking a little worse for wear. Both looked up from their narrow cots in a curtained area but it was Logan who pointed to the door to a more private space.
“She’s in there,” he said softly. “They’re about to transfer her to the hospital. Sorry. Thin walls.”
“Appreciate it,” Lando nodded, skipping to catch up to Max as he pushed the door wide open.
“Zusje…”
Lando froze as he saw Charles sitting beside you, his hand holding yours carefully to avoid the IV that was pumping fluids back into you. Your race suit had been cut away and cooling blankets enveloped you as they worked to bring your core temperature back down into the safe range.
“I thought she fainted?” Lando murmured as he stepped closer and into the space Charles made between his legs, laws be damned. He placed his hand over yours, lacing his fingers between Charles as he sat on his knee.
“Her blood sugar was way down,” Charles said, his voice struggling to remain steady as he pointed to one of the bags connected to the IV. “Severe dehydration, hyperthermia. They are sending her to the hospital for monitoring, just waiting for the helicopter to arrive.”
“A helicopter,” Max frowned. “That’s not normal, right?”
“No,” Charles whispered before swallowing deeply and holding Lando tighter. “There’s something else that showed up in her blood test, mon cher.”
Lando twisted to see Charles as his voice broke. “What?”
Max circled the bed and reached for the papers that were still hanging from the machine that had since been turned off. “She’s pregnant too?”
Charles looked down and nodded, Lando’s spine stiffening at the news before he stood up and snatched the pictures from Max’s hands. His empty hands balled into fists and it was only your body in the bed that kept him from jumping over and tackling your boyfriends to the ground. “Which one of you klootzakken knocked her up?”
“It was an accident,” Charles said as he rose to his feet and wrapped his arms around Lando’s waist. “The doctor thinks she’s about 12 weeks along, but he wants the maternity unit at the hospital to check them.”
“She’s been racing,” Lando murmured, still in a state of disbelief. “She could have crashed.”
“She didn’t know,” Max growled under his breath. “How could she not know?”
The doors opened and three heads turned to see the FIA Director walking in, his eyes taking in the scene. “Good, you are all here.”
Max turned his anger to the Director who had clearly been debriefed on the situation. “How could you let her race in her condition? She got randomly tested in Singapore.”
“We test for drugs, Mr Verstappen, not pregnancy. General health check ups fall on the teams, any further questions should be directed to Aston Martin.”
More footsteps came down the hall and a nurse came with the news that the helicopter had arrived. Charles bent down and kissed your forehead, your skin still too hot on his lips. “I’m sorry, mon amour.”
Only family were allowed in the helicopter and there wasn’t enough space for everyone so Max ended up flying while Charles and Lando broke every speed limit on the road to reach the hospital.
“She’s going to hate us,” Lando whispered into the silence that plagued the car. “Fuck, Charles, we’ve ruined her career.”
“Hey, shh, she’s not going to hate us,” he said, taking Lando‘s hand while praying he wasn’t lying.
“Did you see it?” Lando asked, absentmindedly stroking the picture he still held. “A baby, Cha.”
“I didn’t believe them when the blood tests came back,” he said, a small smile tugging at his lips before it dimmed. “I can’t help wishing she was awake to see it.”
“Do you think…do you think it will be okay? The training, and racing…What if it hurt-”
“Don’t, Lando,” Charles cut him off with a shake of his head. “Don’t think like that, mon cher. Put your brave face on, for her. We’re here.”
Charles' hand slipped from Lando’s as they got out and it was a reflex to reach for each other when they met at the front of the car, except they couldn’t. Not there, not in public. The most they could allow was their shoulders to brush as they stormed inside the hospital and followed the signs to Maternity.
Tumblr media
A dull thumping whomped around your head as you came back to consciousness and it took a while to realise the sound wasn’t inside your brain but from the helicopter you were a passenger in. Straps held you down on the gurney and you struggled against them before a hand gripped yours.
“You’re alright, zusje, calm down,” Max said through the headset that matched yours.
You looked around confused about how you had ended up in the back of a helicopter but it was the lack of two other people that worried you most. “Where’s Charles and Lando?”
“Don’t worry about those assholes, they’ll meet us at the hospital.”
You blanched at the acerbic tone and watched your brother's jaw clench with rage. A shiver broke across your skin despite still feeling like you were cooking from the inside out. “What happened?”
Max looked away and shook his head, refusing to explain further as the chopper started to descend. Mad at him, and mad in general, you pulled your hand away and found the buckle, unclipping yourself and reaching for the IV next.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
“I’m fine, Max, it’s just a little heatstroke.”
The nurse travelling with you had the same look on her face as what Max vocalised but she was more calm when she spoke. “You almost went into cardiac arrest, ma’am, and you are still at risk so please lay back on the cooling pads. We only want what’s best for you and the baby.”
Max winced and dropped his head into his hands. “Fuck.”
You blinked. Then blinked again. Maybe you did have more than just a little bit of heatstroke because you were obviously delirious. With a laugh you fell back into the cold blankets. “Crazy,” you mumbled as the buckle was refastened across your chest. “Could’ve sworn she said baby.”

strut: without consequence or retribution - coriolanus snow.
Characters: Coriolanus Snow x Reader.
Summary: True intentions are revealed behind your presence in Coriolanus's life.
Word Count: 900+
A/N: I'm sorry it couldn't be funny forever :( it's drama time. Lets gooo!
Tumblr media
This was not how things were supposed to be.
Everything was wrong.
Everything was all wrong and it was because of you.
You were supposed to try to lie your way out of what you had done to him, instead you told the truth and made a fool out of him.
Deep down, Coriolanus knew it was his own fault. He hadn’t accounted for the fact that you may actually tell old Strabo and Ma Plinth the truth about what happened, how you’d hit him with your car while he was supposedly strutting about in the middle of the road.
Coriolanus scoffed.
I do not strut, he thought to himself.
Now, he couldn’t escape the incessant fussing and worrying of Ma Plinth and all because you played up his injuries; again, his fault, nothing he hadn’t already done himself.
Now, you sat across from Coriolanus, amused and trying to hide your smile behind the tea cup you were pretending to sip from.
“Something the matter, Coryo?” you ask him, placing your tea cup on its matching saucer.
“Not at all,” he smiles tightly, Ma Plinth placing her clammy hand against his forward for what had to be the fourth time in seven minutes.
“Oh, are you sure you should be returning today, dear?” Ma asked worriedly. “You don’t have to go back so soon. I mean really, you should be resting-”
“I’m fine, honest,” Coriolanus reassures her.
He had been restricted to the apartment for the past three days and he was sure he would go mad if he had to spend one more dreaded day with Ma Plinth fussing over him and like hell would he allow you to be right about an underlying madness.
“Oh-” Ma hesitates, her eyes drifting over to yours.
You had, for the past three days been backing Ma's every decision when it came to Coriolanus's care, including encouraging that he remain bed bound for the better part of those three days and when he spotted the mischievous glint in your eye, he was tempted to reach over and throttle you.
“I think he’ll be okay, Ma” you back Coriolanus instead, Ma’s expression falling. “I think he’s ready. You’ve taken such good care of him, honest.”
“But surely it isn’t safe for Coryo to return to his duties in the Citadel.”
“Perhaps we can send word to Dr. Gaul that he be put on light duties,” you suggest, paying no mind to the true meaning behind her words. “How does that sound, Coryo?”
Coriolanus squints at you suspiciously, unsure of what you were playing at but, having no doubt that he would find out soon enough.
“Of course,” he agrees.
-
You watch the head of white hair stationed outside of your office door in amusement, hands moving on muscle memory as you reassemble the peacekeeper rifle.
His body is rigid with tension, foot tapping impatiently against the marble floor, his nails biting into the steel arm rest of the waiting room chair. You were surprised his nails hadn’t cracked under the pressure.
You push down on the intercom button, “let him in.”
You turn your back to the door just as it swings harshly open and smacks loudly into the wall behind it.
“What the hell did you do?” he snarls.
“Whatever do you mean?” you play dumb, returning the rifle to its spot on the wall.
“You know exactly what I mean.”
You turn back toward him, head cocking to the side to appear nonchalant but, analysing him, head to toe. He looks nothing like the boy from the photo; sounds nothing like the boy described in the letters.
“Might have to spell it out for me, Coryo. My poor district education and all that. Well- that and I’ve done a great many a thing since you’ve been back.”
A sinister laugh fills the office space, Coriolanus smiling menacingly at you.
Poison with perfect teeth.
“You will regret this,” he states matter-of-factly.
Stepping toward you, he only stops once he’s close enough to look down his nose at you, “You have no idea what you’ve done; no idea who you’re messing with.”
“Oh, Coriolanus,” you speak softly, allowing your hand to brush against his. “Your concern is comforting but, I assure you, I know exactly who you are. Did you really think I would let you strut about your precious Capitol without consequence?”
Coriolanus’s eyes flicker; clouding with confusion and a flash of fear, it’s quick but it’s there as you continue talking.
You look like your cousin, he thinks. You look like your cousin but you don't sound like him, not really.
“Whatever do you mean?” he repeats your words back to you, swallowing thickly, playing dumb.
“I think you know exactly what I mean, Coriolanus or would you like me to fetch a jabberjay to explain it to you?”
Coriolanus stands over you but in that moment with your hand pressed against his, he’d never felt smaller.
“Did you really think that you could get away with it? That you could bring about my cousins death and then replace him as heir to the Plinth fortune without retribution. Snow might land on top but, I promise you when you apply a little heat,” you touch the centre of his palm, your skin hot against his. “It melts away to nothing... as if it never existed.”
This was not how things were supposed to be.

Prize Podium
Synopsis: You decide to announce your pregnancy to him in a moment of fame.
Pairing: Carlos Sainz X Fem!reader
Warnings; idk
Word count: 1K
Tumblr media
You knew he could win this weekend. Something deep in your bones was telling you Carlos was going to get a podium.
Which only made your planning all the more exciting, you had known for about three weeks that you had tested positive with a pregnancy test, and had it confirmed last week by a doctor's appointment. Now there was one thing left to do, Tell Carlos.
Your plan was simple, make a sign to hold up for when he was on the podium, It wasn't as extravagant as some of the other pregnancy announcements you'd seen online, but you knew Carlos and mixing the two things he was most passionate about, you could think of nothing better and no other way to tell him he was going to become a father to a new Sainz Jnr.
Most of his team were in on the surprise, the mechanics moved with an air of excitement, which Carlos has mentioned to you before he climbed into the car.
It has taken everything in your composure to not smile when he asked if you knew why they were all super happy, something to do with, he hadn't won yet.
On the current grid, this would be the most recent child born of any driver after Max and his wife had their daughter Zoe.
You had met the girl a few times and saw how Carlos looked at the little family. With such longing it has made your heart seize.
But now all you were feeling was nerves, worry bit in that maybe you had read his signals wrong, maybe he didn't want to have a kid with you.
Your hand pulls the sign up over your legs, sat in a chair in the garage, you could heat the head mechanic speaking to Carlos though the headsets, despite the outside noise of the others teams.
"Carlos we need this podium, you think you can get faster on the corners"
You didn't hear your fiance's response, but the team members with headsets all shot you sidelong excited glances.
It's simple to say they are equally as excited about the prospect of miniature Sainz running around, despite the distraction having a baby in here would pose.
You continued to watch the monitors, Carlos was two points of a second behind Lando, you knew they would always be happy for each other, the previous team-mates like brothers.
Lando was also privy to the surprise, you could spot the exact moment Lando slipped slightly too wide, allowing Carlos just enough room to slipstream his way past on an inside line.
That put him up into second place of the podium,
It didn't appear like any other drivers was getting anywhere close as Lando defends against them, stopping them from potentially knocking Carlos from the podium. Whether he has done it intentionally or not, you had to thank the British driver later.
That's simply left Max in pole position. He was almost half a minute in front of second position, you could see how he was driving, Carlos was fighting to keep up.
With every turn and straight he raced on faster, chasing Max down.
Something must had caused a delay, as when Max flew out from the pits during a tyre chance, he was only just in front of Carlos now.
You felt the air shift in the garage as they began fighting for the pole position.
You heart was hammering in your chest with excitement as they zipped onto the finally lap, it was still so uncertain who was going to be the first to cross the finish line.
They were at the last corner when Max came precariously close to pushing Carlos off the track, but your fiance didn't back down, pushing it he seemed to floor the throttle,
Rattling the car on until both flew over the finish line.
There was a bustle around the garage from the team, you could pick up on how they believed the FIA might review the footage,
You gathered what you had with you, moving with the team, there was two of them that stayed practically glued to your side, making sure you weren't too squashed between the excited mass of people. Body blocking them from bumping into you too much.
The smile smacked straight across you face when you looked up to the podium, Carlos standing right in the pole position. Max in second and Lando in third
Max has been given a five second penalty for pushing Carlos off the track. Giving his just an edge to snatch up the first position.
Pride beamed in your chest as Carlos scanned the crowd for you, it was nice to hear something other then the Dutch national anthem, you held the sign below the height of the crowd, you needed to wait for the right moment.
Once the trophy has been presented to each driver, you wiggled your way through the sea of red suits, the Ferrari team allowed you passage and even got you through the gate, you didn't want to know who they talked to to make that happen.
But as the champagne was sprayed you got ready, unfolding the sign, you held it up above your head, Lando was the first to spot you, slapping an alcohol soaked hand onto Carlos' shoulder, your fiance turned over his shoulder.
His face dropped and you saw the screens above pan into his face, and before you knew it the cameras had followed his line of sight.
You appeared on the screen next, the sign,
Baby Sainz coming May 2024.
Carlos' expression crumpled and he broke down, Lando hugging into his friends side, he raised the bottle to you, drinking some of what was left.
The crowds of fans and other teams yelled in excitement, you watched as Max clapped Carlos shoulder in congratulations.
Over by the Red Bull team you could see Zoe, and her mum hugged next to the barrier, watching Max with a fond expression.
You almost wept at the sight, that could be you next year, and as Carlos rushed down from the podiums to pull you into his embrace,
You couldn't help but be anything but wholly excited.

Alex rarely calls her. Alex prefers visits, or texts. She does things like send Lena a random TikTok that they can laugh over at three in the morning, or shows up at her office with lunch to catch up- food being a love language is as much a Danvers trait as it is a Kara trait. Sometimes Kelly joins them, sometimes Esme.
When she calls it makes Lena nervous.
“Hello?”
Alex’s voice is tense, hoarse from fatigue, and she’s tired.
“Lena, thank God. Kara’s… okay, first, she’s okay. She’s not physically hurt.”
There’s an almost imperceptible emphasis on physically that makes Lena’s stomach sink.
“Tell me what happened.”
“We were dealing with a villain named Shade. Nothing more than a thief, really, but his gimmick is controlling darkness with this staff he has. We took him down.”
“But,” Lena says.
“He enveloped Kara in shadows and she panicked. She flew home and I’m not sure if anyone else should go in right now.”
Lena feels her stomach twist and the steering wheel creaks beneath her hands. She was already on her way home, but she abruptly cuts into the left lane and pushes in the throttle, glad that she both decided to drive herself to work today, and that she selected the Bugatti from the garage.
“I’ll be there in five.”
She makes it in four.
Lena’s teeth click as the low slung car jolts over the curb; she forgot to hit the switch to raise the front end. She doesn’t much care, as she leaves the driver’s side door hanging open. Taking the side steps two at a time, she rushes through the garage door into the kitchen and blinks.
The house is unbearably bright. Every single curtain is throw open to the afternoon sun and every light is switched on, with every dimmable bulb all the way up. Kara has also lit the fireplace and sits next to a roaring blaze, still in her suit, rocking slightly as she hugs her knees to her chest.
Lena first sheds her blazer and then her heels, approaching Kara with steady, even steps.
“Lena?”
“It’s me, darling.”
“Idon’tknowifImsafe,” Kara blurts out, the jumble of words tumbling from her lips.
“Hug your arms around yourself like we practiced.”
She does, wrapping her arms tightly around her body, alleviating the fear that she’ll hurt Lena with an errant movement. Lena sits slowly, curling around Kara from behind as she guides the other woman’s head to her shoulder.
“It was just like being back there,” Kara whimpers, her jaw shaking with every word.
Lena lets Kara feel her nodding and slips her fingers into Kara’s hair, gently working out the tangles she finds. She can tell that Kara has been in a fight; she smells like sweat and oil and soot.
“You’re not there anymore and you never have to go back.”
“What if this has all been a dream. What if I open my eyes and you’re not there anymore.”
“I’ll be here when you open your eyes, my love. Come on, I’m right here.”
“I can’t.”
“Okay,” Lena says, “tell me five things you can feel.”
“My cape. The floor. The heat from the fire. My boots. You.”
“That’s right. Now, five things you can hear.”
“The fire burning. The electrical hum from the lights. The wind in the trees outside. The mantle clock in your office. Your heartbeat.”
“Okay, now, five things you can see.”
Kara’s entire body shakes as she forces her eyes open. When her gaze meets Lena’s, she melts into Lena’s arms.
“Our house. The rug. The fireplace. My painting of Argo City…” and then, breathless, “you.”
Lena cannot help but marvel as they shift their bodies and Kara is suddenly in her lap. Lena cannot help but marvel and the mind-boggling reality of this moment. Kara has been worshipped as a god; she has performed miracles, shattered mountains, can melt steel with a look. Yet here, now, she feels as small and fragile as a baby bird cupped in Lena’s palm.
Kara is not so delicate, though. Her arms still wrapped about herself for safety, she lets Lena squeeze her as hard as she can, until Lena trembles with effort, making sure she can feel.
Kara’s breathing slows. Her body relaxes, and Lena feels secure enough to fetch her phone and call Alex to let her know that Kara is alright, and then order an absolutely absurd number of pizzas and other junk food from their favorite new place.
After Kara has showered and been fed, she goes right back to where she need to be, pillowed on Lena’s chest. They don’t speak; Lena simply understands that tonight she will sleep with the lights on, and strokes her fingers gently through Kara’s hair until her face goes slack and the fear and worry leaves her features as she falls asleep. Kara is even more angelic like this, one arm thrown over Lena’s waist, head turned into her, breathing softly.
Lena doesn’t sleep a wink, but that’s okay, because Kara does, and by the time Kara wakes up, Lena is more than happy to spend the day in bed.
Playing with their hair until they fall asleep.

5 Signs of a Bad Throttle Body in Your Audi A4 to Watch Out For
Tumblr media
Have you ever wondered how a car engine operates?
Well, it works by burning a mixture of air and fuel within its combustion chamber. To get the requisite amount of fuel, the engine relies on the fuel delivery system. And, to acquire the necessary amount of air, it depends on the air intake system.
The throttle body is an essential part of your car's air intake system. Its whole purpose is to make sure that the engine is getting the right amount of air at the right time. Sadly though, like any other parts of your car, the throttle body can eventually fail. When that happens, you will encounter several engine-related problems.
But don’t worry… In this blog post, we have highlighted some of the most common causes and signs of throttle body malfunction. So, please go through it.
Throttle body- What is it and how does it work?
This is a small but complex part of a car's air intake system. A butterfly valve, throttle position sensor, throttle control motor, magnetic clutch, and accelerator position sensor are some of the major parts that make up a car's throttle body.
These components work in conjunction with each other to ensure that the engine is getting the desired amount of oxygen.  If any of these parts go bad, airflow to the combustion chamber of the engine will be obstructed- this may result in rough engine performance.
Luckily, diagnosing a faulty throttle body is quite easy. Below is a discussion of several warning indicators that your Audi A4’s throttle body needs to be repaired.
What can cause throttle body malfunction in Audi A4?
As you would have read earlier, the throttle body is a very complex component. And, it is made of several tiny parts. If any of its minor components fails to perform its duties, the performance of the throttle body will definitely suffer. Another issue that can result in throttle body failure in your Audi A4 is the deposition of dust, debris, and other types of foreign contaminants.
Vacuum leaks due to cracks in the system can also cause throttle body failure. Whatever the reason may be, the throttle body is an important part of your car's air intake system and its failure may result in poor engine performance.
Here’s how to tell if your Audi A4 throttle body is bad.
What are the signs of a bad throttle body in the Audi A4?
Engine losing power
Throttle body malfunction can adversely affect the power output of your car engine. Let me explain this a little more in detail. The whole purpose of a throttle body is to make sure that the airflow to the engine is undisturbed. If it goes bad, airflow to the engine will be disturbed which may result in sluggish engine performance.
Decreased gas mileage
Another common finding in a car with a faulty throttle body is a sudden drop in gas mileage. In order to operate smoothly, a car engine needs two basic things: air and fuel. Unavailability of an adequate amount of air due to throttle body malfunction can make your car engine perform poorly and burn more fuel than meant to.
Check engine light is on
A blinking check engine light is probably the most common symptom associated with a bad voltage regulator. As you would have read earlier, throttle body malfunction can make your car engine run rough- which may prompt the onboard computer to turn on the check engine light so that the driver can be warned.
Engine misfire
Timing of air delivery is a key parameter for smooth engine operation. If there is something wrong with the throttle body, the timing of the air supply will deviate. And, when that happens, the engine will misfire.
Rough idle
Another easily recognizable symptom of throttle body malfunction in a car is- rough engine idle. For a car engine to idle smoothly, it requires a steady supply of the air-fuel mixture. And, if there is something off with the throttle body, a consistent supply of air to the engine would not become possible. And, when that happens, your engine will idle unevenly.
Wrapping up
A defective throttle body can destabilize the air-to-fuel ratio within the combustion chamber of your car engine. And, if you don’t address the issue on time, the performance of your Audi A4 engine will suffer. That’s why if you are noticing any of the above signs we covered, rush your Audi A4 to a nearby auto repair shop.
