Carmen was born and raised in her native México, surrounded by her extended family. Life was rough growing up, as her father was away from home on a fishing boat for months at a time, whilst her mother worked for various tourism groups. But with all bad comes good, as she had no shortage of various aunts and uncles (with only some being of blood relation) to look to. It takes a village to raise a child, and nowhere seemed more true than her little village.

Her life changed drastically when her father died in a boating accident days before her 19th birthday. Their little family managed to limp along thanks to the help of family and friends, but their generosity would only extend so far. With what little money they had running out, Carmen's mother made the decision to leave their beloved México behind, hoping for a better life in America.

The family moved to Aurora Bay, where her mother worked as a maid for one of the families in Aurora Bay Drive. When Carmen turned 21, she was introduced to Christian McDowell. Though she spoke little English, and he spoke virtually no Spanish, the pair managed to hit it off. By the age of 23, Carmen and Christian had married, and she'd moved into his home in Fisher's Cove. The couple eventually had two children, and it seemed that life couldn't be any better.

The cracks in their happy home started forming the first time Carmen realized her husband had wandering eyes. With the rise in messaging sites, she found more than a few suspect chats bookmarked in the web browser. It felt as if Christian had wanted his wife to find them, was looking for a reason to leave. But, she elected to stay silent, to pretend it didn't happen. She justified it to herself, it was for the good of her children.

A mistake, in hindsight. Followed by more mistakes, when the messages turned to meet ups, turned to affairs. The older she got, the older their children got, the younger her husband's mistresses seemingly became. She looked for distractions, for hobbies and interests, turned a blind eye. She opened Tejas Cantina in 2014, named after her father. It became a success after a year of struggle, and at the age of 44, Carmen filed for divorce.

It was a shock to many, but it had also been a long time coming for her. The divorce process was long and messy, but when it was finalized, she moved all of her things to a quaint little home in Seabrook Quarter. She even went as far as legally changing her name back to her maiden name, and has stayed fiercely single since. She refuses to become caught up with another American man.

An interesting look at a criminal organization no necessarily organized, a raw slice of life piece if independent structure and I feel well paced for it’s low budget. I recommend to see.

Estarán prepas municipales afiliadas a la UAT

NUEVO LAREDO, TAM.- Con la finalidad de fortalecer la educación media superior con programas de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), personal docente de las preparatorias municipales será capacitado para trabajar bajo este esquema y facilitar el ingreso de sus alumnos a planteles universitarios de la Máxima Casa de Estudios. Este convenio de trabajo se concretará gracias a las gestiones y a la buena relación que la Administración Municipal encabezada por Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal, mantiene con directivos de la UAT. “Tenemos el compromiso de trabajar de la mano con la UAT para que las preparatorias municipales mantengan su grado de excelencia, además de que a los alumnos se les facilitará su ingreso a facultades de esta Universidad”, señaló la alcaldesa durante un recorrido por las instalaciones de la nueva preparatoria municipal ubicada por la Ampliación de la avenida Monterrey. Por su parte, Rosa Isel Acosta González, secretaria académica de la UAT, se dijo agradecida por la oportunidad de trabajar en equipo con el municipio de Nuevo Laredo, pues como Máxima Casa de Estudios, la UAT requiere seguir creciendo no solamente a nivel superior , sino también en media superior. “Vamos a colaborar en capacitaciones para los profesores que van a ingresar a esta preparatoria y que los alumnos tengan esa visión humanista con este enfoque que tiene el modelo de bachillerato general enfocado con acentuaciones en las competencias que requiere un universitario”, dijo la secretaria académica de la UAT. CIUDAD DE MÉXICO * 5 de marzo, 2024. ) Apro Diputadas y diputados que participarán en la elección consecutiva manifestaron su renuncia voluntaria a apoyos económicos, informó la Cámara Baja en un comunicado. La Mesa Directiva informó que 141 legisladores federales que participarán en la elección consecutiva en el proceso electoral 2023-2024 manifestaron su renuncia voluntaria a los apoyos económicos a que tienen derecho. Mediante una carta dada a conocer a través de redes sociales por el Frente Cívico Nacional (FCN), encabezada por el expresidente del Instituto Federal Electoral (IFE), Leonardo Valdés Zurita, un grupo de 10 personalidades agradecen la invitación hecha para participar en ese mecanismo, pero la rechazan. Los firmantes entre activistas, ex consejeros electorales y académicos desearon lo mejor para el país y reiteraron su compromiso incondicional con la democracia, la transparencia y la ciudadanía. Además de Valdés Zurita, entre los firmantes se encuentran Mariclaire Acosta, María del Carmen Alanís, Marco Antonio Baños, Teresa González, Rosa María Mirón Lince, María Elena Morena, Rodrigo Morales Manzanares, Arturo Sánchez Gutiérrez y Guillermo Sheridan.
