Happy lunar new year 2020 everybody! The year of the metal rat started just now. So I thought, a little steampunk rat would be lovely to draw! 🐀 This is my second animation I did in Procreate, ever. Animation is a totally new world for me - but it's great fun and I'd like to do it more often. :) (Sorry for the not-so-great quality, but tumblr doesn’t let me post it in high-res)

So ein süßes #pustelichtbuch 😍🎄 Auch wenn es nicht viel Text hat, hier wird es besonders vom Sohnemann (3) sehr geliebt. Ob das nächstes Jahr auch noch so ist? Ist auf jeden Fall etwas für die ganz Kleinen ab 1 Jahr 💟 Die Mäuschen im Buch genießen jedenfalls die Vorweihnachtszeit: Spazieren im Schnee, Weihnachtsmarkt, weihnachtlich schmücken und am Ende natürlich das Weihnachtsfest im Mäusenest. Immer mit dabei die kleinen Engelchen, mit denen zusammen die kleinen Leser den Lichterglanz herbei pusten 😇 So niedliche Illustrationen von Carola Sieverding und natürlich der Clou: die Lichter 💫 Sie leuchten nach dem Pusten kurz auf und erlöschen dann wieder, so dass bei jedem Umblättern auch wieder neu gepustet werden darf. Week 3 of #makeartthatsells childrensbook course was all about poses. I had a lot of fun making the little Pearl move - though she is such a simple shape! I feel like I’m learning so, so much right now. :-)

The nicest thing about the cold season is: Lots of book releases! So, this is my very first “Wimmelbook” I illustrated and I’m so happy about it! It was hours and hours of work on all the details, but I really like the way it came out. Thank you so much Thienemann-Esslinger-Verlag! And the most fabulous thing about it is: It’s crown shaped and gold painted! Yay! Yeah I know, there's still some time until christmas (77 days!) 😂🎄 But nevertheless, I wanted to show you a little sneak peek of this advent desk calendar. The calendar got published a few weeks ago by @coppenrathverlag . There are 24 festive stories in it, which show different christmas traditions from all over the world. The stories are written by the very talented Ilona Einwohlt, while I made the illustrations.  I'm happy that I was part of this project!
