Quick Introduction | Everything under construction

Hello! Just a quick introduction whilst this account is under construction... My name is Charlie and I don't what happened... but I fell face-first into a foxhole and here I am. Firstly this blog isn't to be disrespectful to the real-life people of the 101st Airbourne. I've managed to separate them from the TV Persona of what we know and love on screen. If you cannot accept this, please move on. I simp hard for Speirs, if you couldn't tell by aesthetics, but in no way will I ever call myself 'Speirs' girl' or whatever. No one owns that title. We all simp equally. Be respectful. I'm here to write (when I can. I chose the busiest time of the year to join BoB fandom), and to make friends with the other lovely blogs. Come say hi! The content I will deliver will mostly be centred around Speirs, Lipton, Doc Roe and possibly Johnny Martin (unsure if there's muse there for him or not). I ship Speirs x Lipton hardcore, so you'll see content of that. And I've created a typical Medic x Medic for Doc Roe. Which has been done a thousand times before, but this is my corner where I can dump her in there. I'll work myself up to requests, one-shots, shipping, headcanons etc over time. Please feel free to leave stuff in the ask box. I've uploaded a quick idea that I wrote up at midnight a few days ago as a little drabble example of my writing. It's a little out of character but I don't care. The overall idea was sweet in my head. So yeah. I'm sure there's heaps more to say but I don't know. I'm just here to write, make friends and have fun. I'm not here to be anyone's competition. Thank you for reading this so far and I hope to see you soon! Oh! Dick Winters:

-He's stunned in the best way possible—super impressed with your credentials and your reputation already and gives you the utmost of respect.

-I think he genuinely enjoys working with you and getting to know you—it's a slowburn for sure though.

-Doesn't make a move until he's in Austria with you and you two get to talking about what'll happen at the end of the war and everything :)

Lewis Nixon:

-Laughs at first because he thinks you're joking and then very quickly has to backpedal himself out of the dog house because oh SHIT he did not mean to offend you

-Quickly becomes one of your closest friends and talks to you about a lot of his relationship issues back home—the two of you are a very much "will they, won't they" type of thing

-You probably hook up while in Austria and things just progress from there.

Ronald Speirs:

-Secretly impressed by you the entire time but is not about to share his feelings on that—but he keeps a careful eye on you and makes sure to have your back whenever you need it

-This man is out here just trying to make the men drink 'respect women' juice and that starts w/his example and he's perfectly aware of that.

-Steals a lot of stuff so that he can express his feelings to you with nice things haha

Buck Compton:

-He's pleasantly surprised and waits to make a judgement until he gets to know you—best decision of his life really

-He's out here able to talk to you about literally anything and enjoys your company as a friend first and foremost, which is important to both of you

-He absolutely writes you once he leaves the line and hopes that you come back safe

Carwood Lipton:

-Shows you nothing but the utmost respect and never steps a freakin' toe out of line. He probably isn't even trying to get close to you because he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea about him.

-Bonds with you during Bastogne and deeply admires the way that you carry yourself in hard situations

-Probably asks in a soft tone if he can write take you to a nice restaurant once all of this is over and take you on a date

Joe Liebgott:

-Simp with a capital S, and there's just no putting that any other way. This man hangs onto your every word and then pretends as if he never heard you speak. SIR, GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF.

-In all practicality though, he's probably the type to become your friend and hang out with you/help you integrate with the men

-And when he's talking to Webster about his post-war plans...yes, they involve you and no, you are not aware of them (yet, anyway haha)

Donald Malarkey:

-Also someone who is not about to step a toe out of line or show you any disrespect. He takes the time to listen to your opinions and your orders and values what you have to say.

-It's quite easy for him to fall for you, though he's not going to say anything about it until some liquid luck finds its way into his system during Austria

-Feelings are exchanged and so is a kiss :)

Eugene Roe:

-You are his favorite lieutenant—the most competent person in the world in his eyes—and one of the people he values most.

-He consistently takes the time to check in on you and makes sure that you're doing alright in your leadership position and tries to keep a wary eye out for anything that might do you harm.

-And if you kiss him after the events of Bastogne to get his head back in the game?? Well neither of you is going to kiss and tell haha

Bill Guarnere:

-Doesn't know how to feel about it at first?? He's a little confused and a little standoffish but then he sees how Sobel treats you and he's just not having it

-So the two of you become fast friends after that and integrating into the group is a lot easier with Bill on your side

-Admits that he loves you amidst a bloody and snowy ground in Bastogne and hopes that you'll write to him

Joe Toye:

-Impressed by the fact that you've made it this far and isn't about to go out of his way to make life easier or harder for you. He's just going to simply have your back.

-However, he's a great person to talk to and always will second your opinion or thoughts and add that he thinks it's a good idea.

-Also the type of person who writes you love letters after he ends up back home and hopes that things can work out between the two of you

George Luz:

-Makes a joke about it at first and then realizes that he has colossally messed up–grovels a little bit and does you a few favors before becoming your friend

-He relies on you a lot, especially during some of the heavier times for the company, and if you keep a smile on his face, he falls for you

-Would, in fact, invite you to come home and meet his family (you know, if you want haha)

A/N: thanks to @footprintsinthesxnd for inspiring me to finally finish this wip from back in october!! for once, this isn't a heart-wrenching fic that makes you cry your eyes out...it's super fluffy!! Hbo owns the rights, and this is about the fictional portrayal of easy company on the show. nothing but love and respect for veterans on this blog!

Warnings: morning sickness & pregnancy, nothing else except for tooth-rotting fluff :)

Nixon, New Jersey: April 1950

"What are you thinking, sweetheart?"

"What?" (Y/n) sighed, glancing towards her husband from where she sat on the floor.

A chuckle left Lewis' lips as he gestured to the various paint colors on portions of the wall. "Which one? Pink, purple, blue, or yellow?"

Rolling over to her side, (y/n) attempted to get up. With her swollen stomach, it made everything ten times harder than usual.

Lew rushed to her side, "Honey, let me help you."

"I've got it," she grunted, somewhat out of breath.

(Y/n) tried and failed a few times, then let out a huff of air, sighing as she held out her hands for Lew to come and help her up.

He smiled softly, moving to help lift her. "I thought you had it that time."

"Your child has been making things harder on me, lately."

Once they stood up, Lew pulled her close, his hand on her bump. "My child? I'm pretty sure we both made this baby."

(Y/n) pulled back with a look of disgust, fake gagging. "Please don't remind me."

With his signature grin, he pulled her back in, trying to plant a kiss on her lips. "No," she laughed, leaning away to evade his kisses. "We've got to pick out the color for the nursery, Lew!"

"So now you want to get on task, huh?"

(Y/n) giggled as she continued to swerve her husband's kisses. "Yes! We have to get this done!"

"Alright," he conceded. "Just one kiss. Please?"

With an exaggerated eye roll, (y/n) leaned in and pecked his lips quickly. "Come on, doll. One more," he pleaded.

"Nope. You'll get more once we get done picking out the color."

He led her to the wall with the colors and mock saluted her. "Alright, then. Captain Nixon is focused on his next objective."

They had decided to go with the soft yellow because it was more gender-neutral, even though both felt deep down that it was a girl. Staring at their halfway-finished nursery, (y/n) couldn't help but think back to when it all started the year before.

Indianapolis, Indiana: July 1949

The Nixons sat at the Easy Company reunion with Lip, Dick, and their respective spouses. While the guys all talked, (y/n) spoke with Ethel Winters and JoAnne Lipton about everything from baking to babies. Ethel and Dick had been married for a little over a year and were about to start trying for children. JoAnne and Carwood already had a son, so she told the two women how wonderful it was to be a mom. Hard, but wonderful.

The woman pulled out a picture of the three of them with a proud smile on her face. "Danny turns three next month. He's a spitting image of Car, that's for sure. I love him more than anything in this world."

Looking over at her husband enthralled in a conversation with his best friends, she couldn't help but imagine Lew as a father; holding their little baby in his arms or putting them up on his shoulders. (Y/n) knew he didn't have a good relationship with his father and would do everything to be there for their future children.

She was broken out of her trance by Lew's hand squeezing her thigh gently. "You alright, sweetheart? Why are you crying?"

Eyed widening, she went to wipe the tear that streaked down her cheek, but he beat her to it. "What's wrong?" He asked, eyes full of concern.

"Let's have a baby."

Lewis was taken aback by his wife's bluntness. Sure, they had talked about having kids but had decided to wait a few more years. Hearing that she changed her mind filled his with the same sweet images that appeared in hers moments before. If he was being honest, he had felt ready for a few months but didn't want to mention it to her until she approached him first.

He took her hand and excused them from the table as he led her to the lobby area of the venue. As soon as they turned the corner, Lewis' strong arms enveloped her in a tender embrace, his touch sending a shiver of anticipation down her spine. Their lips met softly, mouths melding together gently. It was a tender and loving kiss that expressed their shared devotion and longing for the next chapter of their lives.

With a gentle smile, they broke apart, their hands still entwined. The room seemed to radiate with the energy of their love and the endless possibilities that lay before them.

"Is that a yes?" (Y/n) asked, short of breath.

He kissed her gently, eye glistening with unshed tears. "Yes, let's start a family."

Nixon, New Jersey: November 1949

It was a cold and rainy morning when (y/n) stirred in bed, feeling a wave of nausea wash over her once again. This was the third morning in a row, and her eyes flickered over to Lew, who was fast asleep beside her. She always joked that even a freight train wouldn’t wake him up. Clutching her stomach, she quickly sat up, her heart racing as her body was trying to give her a few seconds of warning. (Y/n) barely had time to get to the bathroom, her steps hurried and unsteady as she covered her mouth with her hand. 

Reaching the bathroom just in time, (y/n) dropped to her knees, her body convulsing with dry heaves initially, followed by her dinner from the night before. The sensation was accompanied by a rush of relief, but the butter taste lingered in her mouth. 

Stirred by the sounds from the bathroom, Lew realized something was wrong and came rushing into the bathroom, concern etched across his features. He kneeled beside her, gathering her hair and rubbing her back soothingly. 

“Are you alright, sweetheart?” he asked worriedly, his voice raspy from sleep.

“I don’t know, Lew,” (y/n) replied weakly. “This nausea just won’t go away.”

“I think that we should get you to the doctor,” Nix suggested, worried she might have caught a nasty stomach bug.

She nodded, her mind already racing with a suspicion she dared not speak aloud just yet. “Yeah, maybe,” she answered, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

After Lew left for work, (y/n) decided to visit the doctor to get some answers. Anticipation and nervousness bubbled within her as the test was administered. The minutes felt like hours, but finally, the doctor confirmed what she had hoped for – she was pregnant.

Unable to contain her excitement, she hurried back home, her heart bursting with joy. The second she got home, she walked past their extra bedroom, inspiration striking her. The sun cast a soft, golden hue through the lace curtains, illuminating the extra room that held years of collected odds and ends. (Y/n) stood at the threshold, groaning at the old boxes, forgotten furniture, and random oddities that filled the room.

She had a lot of work cut out for her.

After putting on a Nat King Cole album, she took a deep breath and rolled up her sleeves, beginning the task at hand. As she meticulously sorted through the belongings, memories danced in her mind – the dusty bookshelf that held Lew’s childhood favorites, the old rocking chair her mother had gifted her, and the worn-out toys that once brought her so much joy. 

With every box she emptied and every piece of furniture she carefully moved, the room started to transform. The clutter began to vanish, making way for her vision of a nursery filled with love and laughter. She could almost visualize the crib nestled by the window, sunlight streaming in, casting a warm glow on the tiny cradle.

Time seemed to fly as she got lost in the whirlwind of her excitement. As the clock ticked on, (y/n) meticulously organized, cleaned, and dusted, pouring herself into every corner. By the time Nix got home from work, she had cleared out most of the clutter. Her eyes held a sparkle of pride as she surveyed her progress, already lost in the thoughts of cradling their newborn baby in this very room.

Lew opened the door, calling out to her as he did every day. “Honey, I’m home.”

As he put his briefcase onto the kitchen table, he noticed the random items and boxes that were scattered around the kitchen. With a raised eyebrow, he stepped over the clutter and followed the sound of (I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons to the couple’s extra bedroom.

“(Y/n)?” Lew asked as he entered the room, his eyes flicking between the few things left inside.

A rocking chair…

She stood in front of the window with a hand covering her mouth, eyes glossy with unshed tears. “Hey,” she whispered.

Lew’s brows instantly furrowed and he approached her, taking her into his arms. “What’s wrong, doll?”

“I’m happy.”

“You’re happy,” he pondered aloud, “But you’re crying.”

(Y/n) pulled back to look up at his puzzled face. “Yeah.”

“Why the sudden inspiration to clean out the crap in here?”

“Well,” she grinned up at him, her bottom lip wobbling as she spoke. “Our baby can’t have a room full of random stuff, can they?”

As (y/n) looked at him expectantly, he nodded with raised brows. “Yeah, yeah.”

But then his eyes widened suddenly and Lew’s gaze flew to hers. “The what?”

Okay so I have to start with my best friend, the tumblr love of my life @georgieluz. Julian is honestly my favourite person ever and how could he be anyone other than George Luz. He brings such joy to every conversation we have together and I really think George and him would get along so well.

Onto my next mutual @merriell-allesandro-shelton. You definitely give me Carwood Lipton vibes. I feel like you are always trying to help and support everyone in the fandom and you really don’t get enough appreciation for it (just like Lipton). You’re so kind and caring and you are definitely getting a promotion to Lieutenant.

@ronsparky. We haven’t known each other that long but I feel like you’re a lot like Skip Muck. I don’t think I ever truly appreciated Skip when I first watch BoB but he really grew on me in episode 6 and 7 and then he was gone. (Obviously when I rewatch it I notice him a lot more now.) Just because you've mentioned it a couple times... Can we see the WWII era army field jacket it sounds really cool 🥺👉👈

Ask and ye shall receive! I'm super excited about it so lets go. I'm only 5'2 and pretty petite overall, so I never find things that fit me but I found it at an estate sale for $44 which is actually a steal because they usually sell for around $200 and I've been looking for a good windproof coat that I can comfortably wear layers under. Also the pockets are huge. I don't have any connection to the former owner, but I am going to leave the name tag on it as I fear it has been unevenly sun bleached and it completes the look anyways.

This specific jacket style is actually one that I have a bit of personal history with lol. I have a side blog so I don't post about it on here, but back in 2020 I was obsessed with Band of Brothers and it was also around the same time that I came to terms with being trans and started thinking about what I wanted to look like in the future, and it turns out the achievable answer to that question is Donnie Wahlberg as Carwood Lipton 😂 Honestly that could go for anybody in that show, but Lipton is 100% the most likely body type for me in 15 years given my family history. In BoB, they wear this jacket or ones very similar during a lot of the episodes because it was pretty standard issue. I've attached proof. Mine doesn't have any of the patches other than the name though, which I don't think their have.

If you're interested in specifics, what I have is an M1943/M-43 field jacked produced for the US Army in 1943. I attached a photo of the label below because I think it's fun that it includes all these little details. It's partially coming off, so I need to sew it back on. It was meant to be worn over a pile jacket or other insulated layer, so it's not super insulated.

It's apparent too dark in my room for photos even with all the lights on, but this is what the inside looks like. It's mostly canvas and has this draw string so you can tighten it on the waist. I have it tied off, but probably should tighten it tbh. I attached another photo to show how it looks tied where it is.

This is how it looks open (ignore that i have something heavy in the one pocket lol). It's missing a button on the opening, and there would normally be an extra button on each cuff to tighten the cuffs more, and I plan on ordering some new ones to replace those. The jacket is a little big on me as well, but as you can see in the above photos they are supposed to be layered under and fit pretty loose, even on the shoulders.

There a couple different ways you can button it to have the collar lie differently. I love in North Dakota and it's very cold and windy so I wear a hat and scarf everywhere so this is my most commonly used configuration

You can also wear the collar button further up. I didn't tuck the end of the collar in on the mid button, whoops. Fully button it comes up about to my chin (as it should) so it does offer decent wind protection even without a scarf.

Overall it's turned out to be pretty perfect! It fits really nice and is very comfortable to layer under and has big pockets, which is pretty much all of the criteria I wanted in a new (to me) coat. It doesn't have a hood, but I could find one if I wanted. It's surprisingly windproof, which you definitely need in North Dakota, so it's working great as a lightweight cold weather jacket!

How to Guide Tertius iiiis a Sentinel and Guide fic mostly focusing on Lip keeping Easy together during Bastogne and Foy, basically comparing Dick and Dike in Lip's experience as Sentinels/COs to Ron. I really like Sentinel and Guide stuff, some good soulmatey flavour in the tropes and it's gr8 in a war setting. Ron is so obviously a Sentinel and his self-assurance has totally caused rumours that he doesn't need a Guide at all...
