my baby noctis
i really want to come up with a story to put all of my redesigned warrior babies in but i'm having a hard time coming up with anything - maybe it's time to commit and make an american southwest clan and go back to my roots

Okay — immediately weirded out by the lack of much of a response from the kid. This is a kid, right?
Ears perking and tail swishing in his suspicion, Noctis opens his mouth to try a different question, to see if he'll get a more helpful response. But before he can get any different words out, he sees the live snake in the kid's grasp, held with the same casualness and carelessness as a rubber one.
❝ Hey, you should probably put that do — WHOA!! ❞
It's a good thing Noctis has quick reflexes, and even better that they're aided by a newly gained feline instinct, or this could've ended much worse for both him and the snake. He manages to catch the poor thing, but not without letting out an involuntary mewl in his surprise. The fur on his feline appendages bristles as he struggles with the creature, which also wriggles in his grasp to try and get free. It ends up in varied positions along his arms, shoulders, neck, and back before eventually gaining its freedom and hitting the ground slithering.
Well, at least it wasn't a snake of the aggressive variety. The prince's ears slant back, unamused in the moment. He'll probably be able to dryly laugh about this later — he just needs a second to come down from the minor heart attack.
❝ Verrry funny. If you're not local, you definitely picked up on the customs real quick. ❞
