Hi, I’m working on a K Howard cosplay and was wondering if you had any photos of the her microphone. Specifically looking for a recent version.

Hey! Yes, there’s been a few different styles used recently.

Top row is all West End. Left and center both show the current cast (2023-25). Right is from 2021-22.

Center row is all the North American tours. Left shows Aragon Tour, middle shows Boleyn Tour 1.5, and right shows Boleyn Tour 2.0. Broadway used the Aragon style up until this current cast (2023-2024), which uses the same style as Boleyn Tour.

Bottom row is all NCL. Left is Breakaway 2.0, center is Bliss 7.0, and right is Breakaway 4.0.

In the past there’s been quite a bit more variance - some casts have had far less embellishment, or the queens colors’ have been incorporated in different ways. But since you’re asking about more recent designs specifically, that’s what I included.

The mainland UK and North American microphones are fairly similar; they both use a textured holographic foil in a black or dark silver on the body of the microphone, crystal a ring around the grill in the queen’s color, and somehow embellish around where the base and the grill meet. Sometimes that’s a single thin ring of crystals (current UK), sometimes it’s a ring a few crystals wide (old US and UK), and sometimes it’s holo paper in the queen’s colors (current US). Each microphone is assigned to a queen and customized in that queen’s colors. The swalts also go on using the microphone assigned to the queen they’re performing as.

someone had to say it. like… toby and lucy literally said its meant to be like a concert… theyre… POP QUEENS..??? did we forget what they say in the literal beginning of the musical 💔 theyre basically having a singing battle over trauma n shit……. like, its a concert, yes?? THATS THE POINT.

every time i see SIX hate i die a bit inside not because i think everybody should or has to like it hell you can hate it for all i care but the takes are always so wrong and so horrible to the point im pretty sure they watched eyes closed and ears covered because wth. its always "SIX isn't a real musical" "iTs LiTeRaLlY JuSt a gLoRiFiEd cOnCeRt" "ItS JuSt aBoUt wHo cAn bElT ThE HiGhEsT" "SIX doesn't even have a plot" EVERY. "... Not yet." The eldest replies, unwavering in her stare at the neighboring houses and the tight grip on the cross above her chest.

"Okay." They reply quietly and lean closer for more warmth. They could almost bear a smile as the oldest wraps an arm around them.

Anyhow, they would've been colored in, but the background was already annoying me. So, they have their corresponding colors instead! Originally, Katheryn (how I spell Howard's name) was going to be there, too, between the both of them with an umbrella (inspired by a little one shot I wrote, yeah, I "write", - in quotation marks because I don't do it all the time, I work in confusing ways you'll find out- it's crazy). However, I decided against it because I forgot how to draw halfway through, apparently. 😅

I'm not the best at writing. Oh! And, I tried the image description. Please tell me if it needs to be changed (or how to do it 😓). Thank you!
