I see we’re just reposting things without sources for some reason?? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it’s because the tweet used the magic word “Zionist” which is taken to be “irredeemably evil and vile person”. For context, the context which that tweet purposely left out (and yeah I’m going to say it’s fucking purposeful) is this article by the NPR. Inside this article the allegedly pro-Palestine posts on social media were fucking videos of the Hamas on October 7th. So, yeah if you’re reposting antisemitic stuff (blatantly antisemitic too), fuck you.

The images that came out of Israel on October 7 were brutal and graphic, and the images coming out of Gaza for months now are constant, also brutal and horrific. All this violence is being shared on social media, and as KQED's Lesley McClurg reports, that's affecting the mental health of Americans with loved ones in Gaza and in Israel. old answer: i use clip studio paint ex! as of 06/24/2023: i use clip studio paint pro v3 for illustrations and clip studio paint v1 ex for animatics

what brush do you use?

old answer: i mainly use the gasa gaya line pen for sketching and the t-pen for both sketching and inking as of 09/22/2023: i use the koya pen for sketching and inking and the gasa gaya line pen for inking occasionally. as of 12/19/2023: i use the a pen that feels like a pencil (鉛筆を感じる液だまりペン) with the pen pressure opacity turned on for sketching (i also use it for inking occasionally). i don’t ink that much right now but i still also use the gasa gaya line pen for it. as of 03/07/2024: i use both the a pen that feels like a pencil (鉛筆を感じる液だまりペン) and calish ink for both sketching and inking. as of 07/08/2024: i use the dry ink brush on clip studio paint.

Ermm so, kinda a part two to my last post, I’m gonna share some things that I believe helped me enter the void

Disclaimer: this shit might not work for you!! Take everything I saw with a grain of salt and figure out your own stuff

Anyway

1. Support

So, as I’ve mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I introduced my friend to loa, and I’m convinced that aforementioned friend has helped me get into the void one way or another, multiple times. Whether they’ve manifested me entering or not, or it was just their words of encouragement/affirmation, I always feel better and more motivated after talking to them. Yam, if you’re reading this, I LOVE YOU!!!!

2. Religion

I haven’t assigned myself to a certain religion, but, as of right now, I worship the Greek deities Aphrodite and Apollo. This is sort of in the same vain as #1, but I’ll pray to ask for their support and help in entering the void and it’s probably the same thing where I’m like “hell yeah, I got the gods on my side” and then that confidence helps me into the void. Either way, I think just… believing that someone is potentially out there to help guide you has really aided in giving me the final push.

3. (One Specific) Subliminal

I’ve mentioned this plenty of times before, but I listen to the ‘Let Go Void State’ Subliminal (lt won’t let me link it) and it’s the only one I’ve been using for about a year now, cause I’ve woken in the void while using it multiple times. I highly suggest it. (I’m listening to it right now, wink wink)

4. Simple Affirmations

‘I am pure consciousness’ and affirmations like that never worked for me. I don’t know why, I guess it’s always just felt… complicated? I know if I say it enough it’ll rewire my mind, but I’ve proven to myself that I don’t need to go through the hassle time and time again lol. The ones I use the most are “I’ll wake up in the void state aware”/“I ALWAYS wake up in the void”. I find what really helped me is having the affirmations in verbiage I’d normally use. Like, I’ll be trying not to giggle because I’ll be repeating ‘I witewally (literally) wake up in the void every night’ in my head again and again. I personally find it more helpful than robotic affirmations, even if there is science behind the robotic route.

Another thing that I started without even thinking about was affirming everyday ‘I WILL enter the void tonight, trust’. I think the repetition aspect is really helpful in fixing my brain and has defiantly made me have a better mindset about the void. Like, yeah, entering the void IS that easy. I’ve since changed the affirmation to “I literally enter the void every night” cause it just feels better, but, y’know

5. Success Stories

I know people love to say to get off social media and… yeah. I mean, it’s bad in general and I doubt it’s helping you with the void (that much), but whatever. I LOVE to see what other people have manifested with the void (or in gen), I just find it so motivational. Though most of the time my desires aren’t represented in these success stories, I always finish them feeling like “if they can do it, why can’t I?” And then, boom, I enter the void that night—or, at the least, get extremely close. Plus, it’s always awesome to see people get so happy about what they manifested. Like, yes!!! You DID manifest your dream life just because you felt like it! Augh, please, if you’re reading this and you’ve manifested ANYTHING—void or not, proof or not—TELL ME!! Dm me or share in my asks box!! Um i disagree on the point that members don't know how deep this shipping or solo shit goes cause taehyung is pretty deep in fandom cause he posts arts from accounts, has showed jm the moon tatto thing, jk used tiktok and every sns in this fandom is dominated by tk shippers be it any. I can bet all my money that all the members have seen worst of their shipping stuff than this. Like i know for a fact that even jm knows about it too. They knows they just don't react cause it might make a big deal so they just let it be.

The comapny also don't care about shippers much cause these delulu tkkrs are the ones that are also giving them some millions of money so why would they when they're making money? They gave tkklives her account back. You're creating a causation= correlation link where there isn't one necessarily. Tae can easily come across pretty jimin fanart or ai art, without being in the trenches of shipping or army spaces (especially with all the plethora of art reposter accounts there are) Jk having tiktok in no way guarantees that he's coming across egregious shippers when most accounts he engages with are either meme accounts or dancers. Just because they have a presence on the internet that we can't exactly track, doesn’t mean than we can take the assumption that all the boys are aware of how deeply messed up the shipping spaces run.

With respect to hybe taking action, I agree that they need to start taking these shippers antis more seriously, especially on the non Korean sides, because most of the claims those accounts make could very well amount to defamation but their lax approach tells me that they either don't see them as a threat or are unable to take much action against perpetrators outside of SK, which we know has been an issue before.

As for tae and jungkook shutting down shippers more, they already have anon?? "Get out of your imagination, it's not good in there ", are Taehyung's own words, but was that good enough for the shippers, no? They found a niche alternative translation to satisfy their delusions or just straight up pretend it didn’t happen. People often accuse tae of ramping up tkkrs esp in chap 2, but its just been moments of him sharing about his interactions with jk, how is it his responsibility if tkkrs have run with it to be terrible to jm/jennie? Saying that he's "feeding these shippers" by simply talking about jk sounds strangely reminiscent of what tkkrs used to say about jm a few years back, but whatever.

As for jk, he's shut down tkkrs many times last year itself, what with his weirded out look into the camera when asked whether he's living with tae and many more examples which I'm not that interested in listing out. But does any of that, stop tkkrs? No.

I agree that tkkrs are beyond repair and it might create serious problems for any partners tae or jk might introduce, but you cannot in good faith put the onus of responsibility on the both of them for the way their shippers act. Its too victim blamey for me. I will hold tae a little responsible for reposting that account without checking, just solely because he has a bigger platform than most, but I'm not going to accuse him of being some secret terrible person for the actual content on those blogs.

A Guide for Proper Fandom Etiquette

(because it’s important to be kind, and with so many fandoms growing so fast it causes us to often forget how to behave)

Basic stuff

1. Be kind, don’t bully other people or drag their OCs for fun. If you don’t like someone, you’re not obligated to follow them

2. If someone is looking for tips, use CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, everyone starts somewhere

3. If someone tries to pick on you, don’t engage with them, just block and report them, don’t give them the time of day

4. Before you make any content for something, think about whether or not the OG creator of the thing the fandom is for would like it or if it would make them uncomfortable

5. DO NOT REPOST other people’s art without credit or permission, if it says don’t repost, DON’T. If you want people to see it, make a post with a link to the art instead or just say something like “have you seen [person]’s newest [thing]?”

Engaging with other creators

1. Read other creator’s boundaries before making anything for them.

2. If a creator you like leaves a fandom, respect their choice! Don’t harass them to keep making content! Instead, see what other fandoms they make content for or if they’re working on their own independent project, you might find something else you love!

3. If a creator goes on hiatus, don’t bother them asking when they’ll be back. A hiatus can be a great thing, as it allows the mental health to take a break, and they allow new ideas to grow and bloom

4. If you ask someone to collaborate with you and they say no, don’t be rude about it, say “I understand, thank you for your time”

5. You can give credit for someone’s OCs, AUs, ect without tagging them, just put their name without the “@“ symbol or with this formate: @/name, this is important for if they’ve left a fandom

6. If a creator is accused of something bad, DON’T attack them, whether it’s proven true or not, just unfollow or block them and move on with your day. Remember, part of Article 11 in the universal declaration of human rights states: “Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence.”

You can ALWAYS unblock or re-follow someone, but once you’ve said something on the internet, you can NEVER take it back

7. DO NOT MAKE C.AIs of anyone’s characters or AU’s without permission! If they have an official bot, use that, but follow the rules for them! If not or if the bot is taken down, don’t make a new one, it’s tough luck.

People to avoid

1. Avoid people with inappropriate OCs or AUs

2. Avoid prosh!ppers, zoos, and other awful people, look up emoji combos and dog whistles they use so you know who to avoid.

3. Avoid people that make any “news” or “exposer” accounts, although wanting to spread important news on good or bad stuff, or calling out problematic behavior can be good, these accounts often tend to cause trouble and get people (good or bad) harassed. News accounts can often have misinformation as well, it’s better to just get news from the OG creator, such as an official account from the fandom. (Ex: the official Hazbin hotel account, Alex Hirsch’s account for gravity falls, ect)

Trivyade here. Let’s do our first artists supporting artist chat! Note that I won’t be available all the time, but feel free to check on me or someone’s art user to me or in this post! You can even dm me by going to messages, or ask me anything, and I will do your best to get to you. I will ask some art and drawings advice questions while making a conversation, but I’m doing to this because I want to make good relationships to the art community in tumblr and in other communities outside of tumblr.

Who is this for? specifically for anime style artists and writers, and webcomic artists such as from tapas, dillyhub, and other webcomics sites and platforms relating to artist, writer, and comic communities.

Why did I start making this? Because I saw very few to no “artist supporting artists” hashtags that were about communication with others in the art community, as a whole! And because I couldn’t find a helpful one where I could ask questions and because other people were venting or ranting about other art, ai art, or just showing their artwork out without giving them much thought about others or help. I felt like this is a problem that no one is noticing. Shoutout to @nartista for the idea, and the book “how to become a successful anime-style artist” by 3dtotal publishing! Thanks for the idea and the realization guys!

You can also share this post to other people, but avoid reusing my art for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Or at least any purpose in particular. It’s my own work, and I won’t let anyone take stuff that I worked hard on. Shoutout by writing the webcomics title and user who did the story and art, or comic writer and comic artist’s name. you may write a link by writing the name and creators of the comic/artwork then use the “blue box” to grab the desired text and add the link (icon with the double chain link) and the site where you have your artwork or comic online. Don’t use the “at” symbol unless you are asking about other users in the chat only. And use “artist support” and “artist support artists” in the necessary specified posting areas. AI art is also not allowed here.

Introduce yourself, your age (or age range), and reach out how you were doing today. You should also add what art works and comics you did in the past and present, and want you wish to improve and work on more often in the future. Be appropriate and nice to others and remember I might chat to you, but it will take to read some of your comments or reposts.

You may also ask questions after you introduce yourself, add the age, and add a shoutout. You are allowed to ask art questions to other user and myself, like general questions how to shade or light you artwork, or how to draw anime proportionally, work for an comic art design/comic story longline or plot whether it’s on posting your art or on posting your webcomic. You can also ask general questions (examples: favorite color?, favorite food?, favorite characters? (whether it’s in your comic, or if it’s fictional characters from a movie or series), which art is [insert aesthetic or genre here] enough?, should I draw a character with [color 1] hair, or [color 2] hair?). You can also ask and answer about advice or your worries about your weaknesses in art in particular, and how you can improve, or how someone else did improve.

Feel free to check out any, or your, user’s artwork and comics, and chat with them through the other person’s username and via Tumblr dm chat, repost, or this post’s chat via the tumblr’s Notes button. If you want to ask me a question, tag my username with the at symbol and send me that message, or go my Ask me Anything button, if you want to respond on the other route.

No need for you to apologize to do what is best for you. I am so sorry to hear this. I don't get how there can be so cruel and crazy people out there who get joy in torturing other humen beings, under the guise of the anonymity of the internet.

I have a job with 60 hour weeks, and sometimes need to make very difficult decission in the split of the second. So reading woso fics, all kind of genres, was my way to switch off and relax, a balance to my often emotionaly exhausting job.

So seeing so many talented writers and good fics dissapear makes me angry, not at you, but at this bullies.

I work voluntarily with children in my freetime since many years, and also see there the tendency for them to lose their empathy. I realy hope I can at least teach some of them to be a decent, nice and loving human being.

I normaly am a quiet person and lurker, but I sent you once an ask, to let you know how much I loved the Leah fic, and how I adored how you were abel to convey so much feelings in such a hot fic.

So if you would repost the Leah fic (of course without any tags), that would absolutely be an early christmas present for me!

And I also didn't want you to pressure you to write more new fics by any means. (I totaly get how busy life can be and how someone is not in the right headspace to write). I just want you to know, if you ever decide to write again, there are people who would read it and absolutely appreciate it.

Hi, previous post get few more likes than i had expect. I really thankful for yours observe to same character which getting my eyes too. But here is two moment that confused me.

First. i'd liked one post which i can't find in likes of account. and i been glad if that person just blocked me. its bc i don't wanna be a trigger to self censoring for someone. This will been important in second.

Second. I was sight a repost with historical hetalia's tag. After it i have mood up cause my interest with history and culture as if has been recognized. And later i was seriously become to mind about how deep will should my research for being accept by me like historical/cultural hetalia. And which medias could been relatably as historical. Then if dig deeply, which referencies would been actual for an historical accurate and which shall not been use. By what rules should selecting all this. And would am i want fit it all on my works, even i delighting by autors of historical content. And then i beginning to mind of my role to my works, why i want creating, about roles of character in my fiction, why they are matched as it.

It's good loaded me. And in final i been to get an art block with anxien of being actively in hetalia's fandom. But i don't want becoming to ghost and painfully expecting on content with wales definitely.

And first step to not transform in sad potato will be my explanation for random users seeing my blog:

I'm inspirited by history and culture of Wales. But i'm not creating an historical/cultural Hetalia cause my feels and individual get in works. I'm confident that welsh is can representing they self. All my incest ships art will be hiddened under a cut and have tag with cw. In incest ships will taked ALL pairings with brit bros, without keep on or not by incest plot. Reason in canon where brits are brothers. If in art will be keeped incest plot in precut will has been added incest plot

Hi! Thanks for tagging me. I don't know what a rentry is, but I assume it's a kind of informational post? I'm always happy to see information about accessibility be shared!

I use a screen reader part-time due to disability, but I'm not blind.

Some common issues are:

lack of image description/alt text

forms or interactive elements without accessible labels

Links with unclear names (for example three links in a row all named "x")

pop-ups/overlays that are "above" the regular content and my screen reader somehow can't manage to go in there? It only reads the content "below" that is hidden behind the overlay. Don't know what's up with that, but it sucks

Tumblr specific: When you repost a tweet from twitter, tumblr now automatically adds alt text, which is great! However, the automatic alt text doesn't contain a description of the attached images. Imagine someone tweets a screenshot from a news headline and says "This is shocking information! Anyone should know this!" Well, I won't know what the tweet is about, sadly, because that information isn't contained in the alt text.

When I don't use a screen reader, I use large text. Some issues with that are:

Website or app won't allow magnification

Magnification or zoom causes content to be cut off

Font too small or illegible

Bad contrast

Screen shot of text instead of actual text (if there's no ID/alt)

Tips for image descriptions:

Any ID is better than none! (See my pinned post for more on that)

Convey the main message or purpose of the image (this can be difficult for art, but many other images are straightforward)

If there's text in an image, transcribe it

If it's not possible for you to create a full description, try to identify the image instead. (For example, if the image is an illustrated guide on how to tie a complicated knot, you might not know how to describe each step so it makes sense without the images. In that case, your ID can be something along the lines of "illustrated guide on how to tie knot so-and-so")

In cases where you do know how to describe the image: You can put a short identifier as described above in the alt text, and then add a more detailed description in the main body of the post. (More on using both alt and main body IDs here)

On the topic of plain text: This is not an official word you'll find in accessibility guides. In general, text on websites is already accessible to screen readers with very few exceptions.

These exceptions inlude

Copy paste fonts (these generally read as gibberish to a screen reader)

Text with alternating upper case and lower case letters (like in that one Spongebob meme)

Rainbow text in the web/browser version of tumblr causes problems (This is specific to tumblr. Rainbow text in general is not a problem and can be implemented in accessible ways. It's even accessible in the tumblr apps.)

Images/ screenshots of text

Stuff like small text, big text, italics, fonts, and colored text, are not an issue for screen readers. I have never heard of a screen reader user having problems with these, and no official accessibility guidelines have restrictions on these.

You do not need to provide plain text versions of formatted text for the sake of screen reader users. I do not know where this myth comes from, but it's untrue.

However, there are cases where providing plain text makes sense. For example, when reblogging a post with small text, I generally copy it in normal font size in my reblog. This is not for screen reader users. This is for people who sight-read who cannot read small font. Providing plain text versions of colored text is also often done for the sake of people with migraines or eye strain. It is good to make posts accessible to people with migraines, but it help no one to incorrectly conflate this with screen reader accessibility. These are two separate accessibility issues.

I've been meaning to make a post about plain text for a while, so this was a welcome opportunity!

Also, I think some people are under the impression a screen reader passively reads text and nothing more? That's untrue. A screen reader can be used to fully navigate websites and apps (if they're well build and accessible.) You can open apps, browse the internet, set a timer, read your emails, make an Instagram post, etc. using a screen reader. You can also change your position on a page, scroll, skip to a certain heading, etc. Screen readers are great!
