Headcannon

Warning: Milo Murphy's Law spoilers under the cut... and its a rather dumb headcannon too.

Since Dakota and Cavendish has broken up during A Christmas Peril, Cavendish had to band-aid his lifelong loneliness with someone else during that erased timeline. That person he settled down with none other than... Mr.Block!

Allow me to explain..

1: That accidental on screen hug during one attempt to prevent the breaking up with Dakota. It was perhaps one of those somewhat inevitable events aside from the break up itself. It's like one of those accidental highschool-style collision like they do in the movies to foreshadow the item characters. Even if that Cavendish was an alternate timeline one, it still happened to Cavendish and Mr.Block.

2: Mr.Block himself clearly showed that he too had broken the rules during the same Christmas party of the incident. Perhaps the future Block knew of the whole situation between Cavendish and Dakota and was on board to fixing their relationship.

Even if it meant he has to let go of his husband. The marriage itself had a lot of toxic moments far worst than what Cavendish would have had with Dakota. Nonetheless, Cavendish was his husband. Therefore, he needed to make that sacrifice for perhaps both of their sanity and Cavendish's happiness.

3: Mr.Block hates Cavendish and Dakota... or does he? He may have no record to recall that he and Cavendish tied the knot once on an alt timeline. But he still has this unlikely crush that he can't explain. Expressing these feelings while working for the BOTT however are unprofessional and against corporate policy... So he low key kept those feelings to himself.

Mr.Block is upset to the idea of Cavendish being happy with someone else. He is completely unaware of the consequences if otherwise.

The last straw was when Dakota confessed all the sacrifices he has done for Cavendish.

With an angry and broken heart, Mr.Block banished the duo so he would literally never have to look at them again.
