There has been some rumors that Hilary plans to ask Carla to play at Greta's wedding. Lucia, feeling guilty for not protecting Carlos from the unfairness and cruelty he experienced while working for the Laurents, decides to confront her about it, not wanting to repeat the same mistake again.

Lucia: It's about Carla. And Carlos too. I've let you live in your little fantasy bubble for long enough. That venue would be NOTHING if it wasn't for those children and now you have some NERVE to want to ask Carla to play at your daughter's wedding, knowing how you and your husband screwed her brother over. What is wrong with you?!

Hilary: Screwed him over? All I did was grant Solana her dying wish. If anything, he screwed himself over. That boy knew nothing about responsibility. I don't pay irresponsible people. 

Lucia: I know your ass did not just sit there and call that boy irresponsible. Do you know what that boy had to endure after Solana died?! Solana was a good woman and you and I know better than anyone what she (and her son) contributed to make that venue what it is today! How dare you dishonor her like this?!

Hilary: All I'm hearing is your endless yapping. What have YOU done to help him, huh? It's not my fault he chose to date Greta. He got his heart broken and humiliated us by leaving before his performance.

 Lucia: No wonder your daughter is so heartless! He left because of the way you treated him the entire time he worked there. All you and Hector ever cared about was the money  he was bringing in. You used him like he was some trophy and pretended to care for him for the sake of your reputation! I'll be damned if I ever let Carla go through that same bullshit! You better stay away from her.

☕ COFFEE & TEA OVERRIDE ☕

 I really love to go to coffee shops with my sims, to make hot tea or coffee in the morning, it adds some coziness and atmosphere to their pixel lives! 

 But alas, in the game, all hot drinks look the same (yes, yes, the same mug with some dark drink for all occasions):

   Not too long ago, I substituted cocoa with marshmallows and it turns out that this small substitution turned out to be a favorite of many! So I decided to redesign the appearance of absolutely all warming drinks (if I missed something - let me know in the comments!). To do this, I created new objects so that the appearance of each drink would be unique.

I was inspired to create this mod by the default mug replacement from the wonderful creator JariSimCC. His mugs look awesome and most importantly - they fit perfectly in the Sim's hand! He gave me permission to use his mash (i.e. he made the shape of the mug, I just drew textures for it). Be sure to check out his blog, he has a lot of cool CC content and different swaps!!! 

 Replaced all drinks from:

〇 tea brewer (Base Game)

〇 coffee maker (Base Game)

〇 electric kettle ("For Rent")

〇 espresso bar ("Get Together")

 It is desirable not to put the files with texture replacement deeper than one subfolder in the Mods folder. Also, this mod will conflict with any mod that replaces these textures (I know for sure that A.I. Upscaled Food is not compatible with my mod).

Studio PBP Reimagined by Moonwoodhollow I love Del Sol Valley, it's a great world that unfortunately offers very little when it comes to the prebuilds, which is why I always steered clear of it, except for building in the less glamorous neighbourhood. When a lovely person commissioned me to rebuild Studio PBP in an Art Déco style I was a bit intimidated at first but thanks to the absolutely incredible Bioshock CC-Set (1|2|3) by @surely-sims, @doctorsimcraft and @lumenniveus I was able to recreate Studio PBP as a lounge/bar/nightclub worthy of Del Sol Valley and its celebrities. I hope you'll enjoy this build and escape to the roaring twenties with your sims!

Art Déco is one of the best-known architectural styles of the first half of the 20th century and originated from Jugendstil, Cubism and a few other art and architectural styles (Wiener Secession, Avantgarde, Futurism to name a few) in the latter half of the 19th century. While it's a global architectural style, there are a few regional differences, but for Studio PBP I concentrated on mostly US-American Art Déco buildings and used a somewhat less playful style for the facade that is still very bold. Since Art Déco was also hugely influenced by Ancient Egyptian art and architecture and Mesopotamian Architecture, I added some 'Egyptian' details to the lot in the forms of columns, sphinx and statues. There's so much more to write about this multi-faceted gorgeous architectural style, but this is meant only as a small introduction and to set the mood for the build:

So what do you get?

Studio PBP Reimagined is a 40x30 lot best placed in Del Sol Valley in the Starlight Boulevard neighbourhood. The lot is currently set as a bar lot but is playtested for the lounge and nightclub lot type as well. Currently, everyone regardless of their celebrity status can visit the lounge, if you'd like to change this you'd need to change the entry doors on the first floor. The lot consists of 3 floors and a huge outdoor pool area where your sims can lounge or swim. The first floor is designed to host the Starlight Accolades, whereas the 2nd floor is the bar area of the lot, where your sims can sip cocktails, and hold clandestine business or affair meetings... I won't judge! The 3rd floor is the nightclub portion of the building and is perfect for dancing the night away!

Uses items from the following packs: looks best with almost all packs. But a tip: take a look at the build in the gallery and click on the packs to see the items I used from that pack, it will also look good with fewer packs, as in without the kits.

guys i'm finally building some more. got some good inspo recently from @folkbreeze and their forgotten hollow builds as well as salem's lot (2024) that i just watched and wednesday (netflix). i'm genuinely excited for the new gp and the romanian inspired build mode. wednesday was actually filmed in romania. essentially, looking to build a small new england-esque town. my goal is to share this build as part of simblreen. i've actually never shared a treated before so wanted to change that. see older version below. also very minimal cc is used. stay tuned!

León didn’t smile—at least, not in any way most people would recognize. But something in his expression shifted, barely there, like the flick of a knife before it found skin. Amused. Curious. Or maybe just calculating how much she really thought she could disarm him with diner banter and a grin.

“Salad at a diner’s not a spiral,” he said, “It’s a warning sign. Like someone asking for sparkling water at a dive bar. Tells you everything you need to know.” He didn’t touch the milkshake yet. Just leaned back, one arm stretching along the back of the booth, watching her buzz and fidget and fill the air with sound like she couldn’t help herself. She reminded him of a lit fuse—bright, fast, unpredictable. Pretty, if you didn’t mind the potential for combustion.

“You ever try shutting up for more than five minutes?” he asked, not unkindly—more like an experiment. “Might surprise you what you hear when you stop trying to fill the silence.” Then, finally, he glanced down at the milkshake like he’d just remembered it was there. Chocolate. Classic. No toppings, no whipped cream. Just what it said it was.

“What’d I get?” He looked back at her. “The thing on the menu that doesn’t need convincing. No sprinkles, no presentation. Just cold and sweet and straight to the point.” Despite his previous description of the item, it was still something he enjoyed. His gaze lingered a beat too long on her face before he added, dry, “Like me on a good day.” Then he took a sip.

God, this guy knew how to weaponize silence. Somehow making it feel just as deadly as any gun in his hands. She did often delve into the realms of self awareness but even she knew that she'd said far too much in far too short a time but as León let her words stew between them she found herself fighting the urge to let even more flow. As though that would somehow help the situation.

But he threw finally threw her a life ring to pull herself out of the discomfort she was drowning in, grasping onto the conversation. "Somewhere in the middle. I don't wanna seem too functional and misrepresent myself." She shrugged, part of her knowing she should just cut her losses and stop there but she couldn't help herself. "Besides, wouldn't the true spiral be overcompensating to seem like you're functional - like ordering a salad at a diner?"

The slow, considered way he moved was in stark contrast to the restless energy that she was always buzzing with. Though she usually never lacked for intensity there was something different about his. An unspeakable quality to it. "Isn't that the best kind of milkshake?"

She grinned then, wondering if the gesture could somehow blunt the sharpness of his gaze. "Oh yeah, it's my favourite pastime. Never met a silence I didn't want to break." Flippant words were accompanied by a nod, sliding into the booth without needing a second invitation. "What did you get?"

notes: cc free now available and cc-lite, cc included. if you want to use as a multi-functional lot, i'd recommend spawn npc mods such as: spawn refresher (zerbu), "vendor" everywhere (kuttoe), auto employees lot trait (littemssam). i've resolved all major routing issues, but one minor routing issue is that the attic in abandoned hotel is not accessible unless you teleport your sim there.

it's finally here! thanks for being super patient considering this was suppose to be a simblreen gift...smh! tbh i did hit a creative wall for a bit but the new pack did help me get some much needed inspo especially for the vampire lounge. also i still hate the restaurant but i'm letting go of my crippling perfectionism...
