Here is my artistic rendition of a clan of Celtic warriors on the march to battle! I leave it open to interpretation what tribe of Celts these guys are. They could be Gauls or Britons on the march to kick some Roman butt. They could be Picts on the march to battle with invading Saxons. They could be Gaels looking to put down a rival clan. Regardless of how you see it, the ogham inscription at the center sews a common thread among all interpretations. Beautiful new Celtic Triple Spiral, or Triskele necklace. I researched this symbol for a bit - sometimes you go down and internet click hole and spend your morning learning stuff you never intended to 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s pretty interesting - the exact origins seem to be muddy. It’s been used by Celtic Christians to represent the holy trinity, and by Wiccans to represent land, sea, and sky. It’s been used as a symbol of fertility, representing the 9 months of pregnancy. On the sides of it you have little trinity knots - very similar applied symbolism. Obviously the Christian Holy Trinity, but also Wiccan/Neopagan “threefold nature of the Goddess as mother, maiden and crone.” as well as the representation of land, sea, and sky. All in all, regardless of the historical symbolism or your own, it’s been a great timeless design 💁🏻‍♀️ Sterling silver chains.
