Chapter 27

"Why are we going to the astronomy tower?" Draco laughed as I dragged him down the hall. "It's secluded, and free from interruptions." I said smiling. We made our way quietly down the dark halls. I looked at him and smirked and held a finger to my mouth to let him know to be quiet.

He nodded and we made our way to the tower. We finally let out our breaths as we got to the top, it was fairly cold, but we huddled in Draco's robes sitting together. "So how do you feel?" He asked as we sat in silence, "What do you mean?" I said looking out at the sky. "About me?" he continued. I pondered on his question, trying to form the right words. "Oh well I know we have fun together, and I think I could be happy with you." I said quietly, still not looking at him. He nodded along, "That's good, I would say the same about you." he said, smiling at me, and I laid my head on his shoulder and smiled. We sat in comfortable silence for a moment. "Have you ever...ya know" he said, turning his head the other way. "Um n-no I mean I've done stuff, but never i-it." I said also looking the other way, my face getting red. "You?" I asked quietly. "Oh um yeah I have done stuff too, and i've done it like three times maybe.." he whispered. I just laughed and shook my head. "Why do you ask?" I said looking up at him, he looked down shyly "oh well night of the Yule ball is kinda like the night everyone like hooks up..." he said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. My eyes went wide and I let out a small laugh "Oh well i'll think about it." I said looking away again. "Y-yeah no of course it's up to you." I smirked and looked around at the sky, I felt a slight tug in my head, like someone was trying to read my thoughts. I paused for a moment and felt it again looking over to the stairs. "Draco we need to get outta here I think someones coming." I said tugging his arm. He looked in the same direction as me ,"Dont worry love, I've got this" he said smiling and sticking his hand out. I focused on protecting my thoughts, Draco summoned his broom and I smiled at him, he grabbed my hand and put me on the back of it, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Hang on," he said, smirking and took us up fast into the night sky, flying above the dark clouds. It was cold but I was fine, nose slightly red and my hair blowing in the wind. We sat still in the clouds above the tower, and looked down, I was right, It was Snape. He was standing there looking around. I zoned out watching him as he stopped to try and search for any nearby sounds or loud thoughts , I stopped and looked at Draco confused "Draco can you protect your thoughts from him?" I whispered making eye contact. "Yeah, I'm pretty good at occlumency." he said, smiling at me. "You?" he said as we kept our eyes on the dark professor, "I'm good enough at it." I said with a small smile.

I looked down at the tall man as he stood looking out over the school, I let him in my head for a second, he read my thoughts almost immediately, he looked up to the sky and began looking for us. I closed it back up and kicked him out and looked at Draco. "Let's get out of here shall we?" He said smiling and smoothly flying us down and into the shadows, I looked back as we flew by the man I was so bewitched by, We made eye contact and It was like everything was in slow motion. We both had looks of sadness and numbness but I just turned forward again and we flew away. Draco took us directly to my dormitory window. I shhed him as we crawled in not wanting to alert my roommates I had a boy here. We smiled at each other as we left into the common room. We began to giggle quietly sitting on the couch and poking at each other. We slowly stopped and looked at each other. "Thanks for the save Draco." I said smirking up at him and pushing some of his hair out of his face, he closed his eyes and kissed me quickly, but sweetly, and I opened mine, I instinctively closed, as we pulled back. His face reddened and I just smiled. "Um I'm gonna go to bed I'll see you tomorrow." I said backing away and running to my room quickly. I layed down in bed and thought about Draco and I's kiss. It was sweet and special, but still my mind would wander to the all of the sudden cold brooding Professor that out of nowhere began to ignore me. I got up and decided to write to my mother to fill her in. I hadn't talked to her since I left.

Dear mother,

I hope you're well, I'm going to the Yule ball and I have a date. His name is Draco Malfoy, and he's real nice, I just wanted to let you know.

I folded it up and handed it to Hera opening my window. She flew out and I went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Trying to distract from all the thoughts. I layed in bed and Immediately drifted off into sleep.

time jump

I woke up early on Saturday morning because Hermione, Ginny and I were going to Hogsmeade to shop for our dresses. "Can you believe the Yule ball is Thursday? That's in like six days Y/n!" Hermione whined as I got ready in the bathroom, doing my hair and makeup. "Yeah crazy! I feel bad for Draco. I hope he's got someone to shop for tuxedos with." I said slipping on my black sheer tights and a plaid dark green pencil skirt. With a black turtleneck neck on top and my robes. Wearing a fancy pair of boots Draco had bought me. He wasn't joking about the boyfriend buying gifts thing. "I'll be right back." I said walking quickly outside the common room, there waiting was Harry and Ron, "Hey I need you guys to invite Draco tuxedo shopping with you." I said smiling. "What? No!" Ron said. Harry just looked down and cleared his throat, "I don't know." Harry said not looking at me. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, "Stay here." I said walking back in the common room. I walked over to Draco's dorm and let myself in, "Draco?" I said walking in. "Yes?" he said walking out of the bathroom in black slacks, and a black sweater with a dark green coat and grey scarf. He did know how to dress, which was no surprise. "Can you tuxedo shop with Harry and Ron?" I said with puppy dog eyes. He looked up at me quickly, thinking of what to say. "I-I um.." he looked over grabbing his wand. "Please for me!" I said batting my lashes up at him.

It had been awhile since our kiss, and we have only grown more, well Draco has, I'm feeling something for him, but not what I still feel for the Professor, that's basically cut me off aside from class and our lessons, he's just Professor Snape now. So I've just tried to be a good girlfriend to Draco, he deserved it. "Fine I'll do it." he sighed and I hugged him, "great i'll catch you later!" I skipped out back to the other two boys to let them know. "He's gonna go with yall. We can all meet up at the Three Broomsticks at 4 o'clock ok? And cover your outfits for the ball!" I said as I walked back to my dormitory. "I got the boys to go shop with Draco!" I said out of breath to Hermione. "Well that's going to be interesting." she smiled as she slipped on her coat and held her arm out to me, I linked mine with hers and we walked out of my room and met Draco and the boys outside. "Ok we will catch up with you gentlemen later, we are going to go get Ginny!" Hermione said as they boys went ahead with other groups of students to Hogsmeade and we headed to the Gryffindor room. "Oh hey guys perfect timing!" Ginny said running into us on our way to her room. "Hey are you all ready?" I asked, smiling. "Yup!" We all linked arms and headed to town. I felt a little silly linking my arms with them, but I surprisingly only went to Hogsmeade a few times, and we don't wanna lose each other in the crowd. There were quite a few people out shopping so we made our way through heading into Gladrag's. We all gossiped and looked around in the shop, not having any luck with dresses. "Ok moving on." Hermione said as we all followed out of the shop. "Everything looked picked over in there." I said as we walked to a different shop, "Yeah hopefully we don't have to have my mom make them." Ginny said laughing. "This store looks promising." Hermione said as we all stood looking up at the dingy little store. "Lethal Thread" Ginny read the sign, "Is that supposed to be a pun?" she said looking at Hermione. "Are they open?" I said looking inside, "I don't see anyone in there." I said looking over at the other two girls. "Come on let's find out." Hermione said leading the way to the door, it opened and we all walked in slowly. "Hello?" she said boldly as we looked around at what looked like a tiny store, but was rather large inside. "Hello there dears, can I help you with something!?" A tall giddy woman said, scaring us a bit and walking over to us smiling a little too hard. "We just needed some Yule ball dresses!" Ginny said smiling as Hermione nodded along. I admired the two girls, sometimes I wish I could be more like them, nice and outgoing, not rude and an asshole like myself. "Oh perfect over here are your fancy gowns." she said leading us to a back corner, there was a dusty sheet which she pulled off an old brown wooden wardrobe, she cracked it open to reveal a good selection of gowns. "Wow perfect thank you!" Ginny smiled as the lady walked off with a smile and nod. "So what do we do?" I said looking at them and back to the dresses. "We look!" Hermione sighed and we began flipping through each one. I pulled out a cute blue dress, it was a royal blue that was off the shoulder and half sleeved and the top was velvet, and the bottom was an ankle length princess poof. I held it up to the other two girls that were rummaging through. "Anyone like this one?" I said looking at Ginny, her face lit up and she snatched it fast from my hands. "Oh my Merlin I found the perfect one! It's exactly what I was going for!" She took it and ran into the dressing room, which was just a curtain and a mirror. "I know that's why I showed it to you!" I said laughing as Hermione and I kept looking. "I just really need to find the perfect one that I know Ron will like too." Hermione said as we kept looking. "Like this?" I said , holding up an ugly orange one "Merlin no!" we laughed and Ginny stepped out of the curtain. Hand on her hips with a smile. "Oh Ginny! It's perfect!" I said playing with the skirt of it. "Yes you look amazing!" Hermione responded as Ginny went back in to change out. "I'm definitely getting this one" she said as we continued searching. "What about this one?" Hermione said as Ginny stepped out, her dress in hand. I looked up at her and smiled as I looked over the dress in hand. "Hermione, it's amazing" Ginny and I said smiling at it. It was a floor length silk wine red dress that clung to the top and waist and flowed down. It had skinny straps, and a v cut neckline. "It's very Carrie post blood." I said teasing "She rolled her eyes and went to try it on.

"Are you sure you didn't like anything in there?" Ginny asked me as we exited the shop. "Yeah but don't worry about it i'll find one ok?" I said reassuring her. "Well where do you wanna go next? We have to meet the boys in two hours" Hermione said looking down at her watch. "You know what you guys go ahead and shop for shoes and accessories, and I'll go look for a dress and we can just meet back up with the boys.' I said smiling at them, "Are you sure? You won't get lost?" Hermione questioned. "Yeah i'm sure go, go!" I said shooing them off and walking down the small streets. I let out a breath as I walked down a street alone. I loved my friends, but the introvert in me would need to have some time alone every now and then. I walked down looking for dress shops, I approached a skinny brick shop called the "Crown Village Boutique" I said walking up the small steps and into the shop, the door ringing a little bell as I walked in. I nodded with an awkward smile to the small little girl that sat behind the counter of the register. She had big brown eyes and curly caramel brown hair with golden skin. She smiled. She looked to be about five or six maybe and I just smiled back walking to what appeared to be the dress section. I shifted through the dresses, awkwardly sneaking looks to the little girl, she was a little freaky, alone, watching me like that. My sister showed me Pet Semetary. I looked over the dresses not finding anything special, and was watching the little girl draw on a piece of parchment, I heard a side door open and quickly turned my attention to the random accessories they had on a shelf. "Pleasure doing business with you Sir." A high pitched man's voice said, "Mhm yes thank you." an all to familiar voice said sarcastically snatching the bag from the man.

Long anon has thoughts and I’m here to reply but also I’m fucking wasted

Okay, different anon, but I love giving unsolicited advice (joking, joking... kind of), so I had to chime in. Plus I think I’ve read RtL like 2 or 3 times in full now (way more if you count all the times I’ve read a chapter because of the sex scene and then just kept reading after that), so I’m very invested. God you’re better than me. I didn’t mind chapter 30. It wasn’t my personal favorite scene (that’s just really not my jam, if I wanna revel in the angst, I prefer the later chapters), but with some tweaks I do think it was a good addition. Like, it did give the relationship a little more, I’m not sure if this is the right word, respectability? Realism? Weight? It showed that they’re not just clouded by lust or the honeymoon phase. Which is where I get into the conflict of fanfic imagine writing vs fiction writing. Most fanfic readers seem like they don’t want the plot and the character growth and the realism. The point is fantasy. I can do that short-term, but in a long-haul series like this…angst is necessary. Tension is necessary. Their relationship doesn’t exist in this perfect little bubble, it’s “perfect” because they’re really compatible, and that’s even more important than love in a longterm relationship. It showcased how much Brendon is devoted to his work, which is one of the reasons the reader loves him, but it has the real possibility of causing real issues that they need to address and work through. Now, again, it needs a little work. I don’t love that B basically accused the reader of being intentionally malicious, and I also don’t love that she was more of the victim rather than it being a two-way conflict. I think it could’ve had more of a build-up (I know you said you sort of wrote this without a plan so it makes sense that the build-up wasn’t as much as I think it needed to be, but, hey, that’s the beauty of rewriting it.) and oh rewriting it will be a thing eventually. Like she doesn’t love that he’s overworking and she brings it up a few times throughout like 3 to 5 chapters before nationals, and it sort of gradually goes from the reader going, “hey I think your hyperfocus on your job is starting to affect both your quality of life and our relationship” (obviously in a way that’s more writer-y and less information dump-y lol) to “I’m starting to feel like a toy you play with when you’re interested and completely ignore when you have homework.” And then Brendon’s responses starting at, “oh I’m sorry, babe, I’ll manage my time a bit better,” all the way to, “why don’t can’t you respect my career?” Then in chapter 30, it all comes to a head and they full on fight instead of the previous semi-passive-aggressive communication they had before. I like you; you understand what my brain is trying to do with this rewrite.

ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, as much I think fighting and arguing can be healthy and necessary, I HATED the fight in chapter 19 (at least I think it’s 19. The one where he’s like, “just talk to him, you’re being crazy”). No it’s totally bullshit I hate it too; even writing it I was like ughhhh. I love your work and I don’t want to be rude, but this is just how I feel about one chapter in an otherwise beloved series. It’s not rude; that was jammed in there for the plot and god I hated it then and I hate it now it’s just bad writing. It’s that I just think it was so out of character, for both of them to some extent, but especially Brendon it was. Maybe it’s just the reader projecting her ex onto Brendon when she’s feeling distressed, so that’s why he seems SO different from the way he was in previous chapters (hell, even earlier in that chapter no it took a sharp left turn it’s a bad chapter) and than every other chapter afterward which okay can we agree Chapters 18-26 are whaaaat is happening and 27-31 are ?? and 32 is steamy forgiveness and then 33-36 are smut but so little plot and…oh god I have so much to rewrite I’m gonna cry but he’s so fiercely passionate and protective over, not just the reader, but sort of everything that he cares enough to invest time into (teaching, music, the reader, lovemaking 😏😂, etc.) that don’t think he would’ve proposed talking to the ex at all, much less become all cold and calculating and downright rude when talking to her. I almost think it would be more realistic if she said, offhandedly, “maybe I’ll just talk to him, try to get rid of him, give him some money, I just want this over with,” and Brendon AT THAT POINT would be like, “no absolutely not, you’re being crazy/irrational .” And then it would turn into a big fight because the reader not only feels condescended and invalidated, she’s starting to feel controlled and smothered, which in conjunction with all the feelings that have been brought up with the ex in town, makes her feel like she just needs to get away from B. I guess that wouldn’t have the same effect later on at the end with the lockdown drill which I really want to cut, good lord Cece it was so extra wtf (full disclosure: at the time of writing, the school where I was a teacher had an active shooter in the area but not on campus, so I was probably processing that?? See my note below about writing as therapy), but it would still kind of work. Instead of B realizing that the reader was right about the ex, it would be the reader realizing that B really just cares for her wants what’s best for her, and ofc B would have to apologize for saying that the reader’s crazy because that’s sooo shitty. Actually, now that I think about it, that might be more effective. Other than that one argument, there wasn’t a big question of whether or not B respected the reader and her judgment, but with the ex showing up, the reader was getting scared about being in another serious relationship and being so dependent on someone else oh definitely. Doesn’t help I was using writing as my therapy since I was very out of a mentally abusive six-year relationship. I just peppered in my own trauma left and right (drunk Cece put left and write at first lmao) and left the characters to figure it out and that’s not fair to y’all so it would be much better narratively to confirm to the reader that she can trust Brendon and that he cares for her even if he messes up rather than to just have an argument that gets resolved. Which would work too if it weren’t for the fact that the characters and dialogue were so off, just maybe not quite as well. Lots of changes to be made; you’re not wrong.

Okay, I’m sorry for talking your figurative ears off omg no I love it this is a craft revision and I’m so here for it. Feel free to say I’m way overstepping because, well, I am, but I’m a fan okay!!! Idk if you’re overstepping I’m too drunk but I don’t deserve fans I’m crying yall are so wonderful And I overthink EVERYTHING, so there’s that too haha same though. These are just things to consider and jumping off points, so don’t let it change whatever you have planned. I’m sure it’ll be great, and frankly, I mostly read for the smut anyway so I don’t know why I’m so invested in the plot LMAO this is why I’m worried about Dulce being a slow burn y’all just want the smuuuut and @beautiful-tragic-fallout can tell you there’s a huge difference between my fanfic writing and my fiction writing though you’d think they’d be similar. Maybe I’ll just write it as a novel, never post it here, hope it sells, and one day y’all can be like “this book plot sounds familiar… I remember this slut who wrote a bunch on tumbl—wait, is this author actually Cece?!?” Because, reminder, Cece is an abbreviation of my second middle name and very few people actually know it at all and my published fiction writing isn’t under Cece (I’m mostly joking, but really, as long as the porn’s good, you could write anything well, thank you.) I’m sure this whole ask is riddled with typos and forgotten words and bad grammar (brevity has never been my strength), so I’d also like to apologize for all that. Listen I’m so drunk right now…I didn’t even notice. And my responses probably are too.

“Don’t know if you love me or you want me dead”

Shawn fell asleep after his time with Sapphire. It wasn't a deep sleep, though. He faded in and out of consciousness, opening his eyes every so often and wondering where he was and why there was a hand around his neck. Rain was hitting the windows, which caused an uproar in the straggling party guests still outside. The sounds weren't unfamiliar to Shawn, and neither was the squeezing sensation around his neck.

“Push me away, push me away… beg me to stay, beg me to stay”

The fourth time Shawn opened his eyes was when he was waking up from a nightmare. He couldn't quite remember what he was seeing in his sleep, he just felt that fear strike his chest and send him back to the waking life. Wheezing, he touched his neck, feeling pain like bruises on the skin. But that was a dream, wasn’t it?

Perhaps he was still dreaming, he thought as he spotted something in the corner by the bedroom door. Shawn wasn’t exactly afraid, just confused. Why was the figure so far away? Why wouldn’t they come to bed? There was a lot of room here. He looked down at Sapphire, but all that was left was an empty space.

The figure in the corner was Sapphire. Head down at an angle, her hair almost covering her face like the girl from The Ring. Her eyes were open, but hooded and so red they lit up that corner of the room.

“...something in the way you looking through my eyes…”

Shawn leaned forward a little to get a better look, to make sure that that was Sapphire. He was still unafraid, just a little confused. His eyes were heavy, and he was prepared to just let it go for the night. But he felt the hand around his neck again, and air stopped moving through his lungs.

“Don’t know if I’m gonna make it out alive…”

Sapphire was not joking when she said she wanted to keep Shawn around. The morning after the party, she had people bring his luggage from the hotel he was supposed to be staying at. Andrew had a few stern words to say, but Shawn reminded him that he was on a break right now. There weren't any work-related obligations to take care of. Even if there were, Shawn may have cancelled, because living in Sapphire's home was incredible.

Take Ariana's 7 Rings, and put it in real life. Breakfast at Tiffany's and bottles of bubbles. That's what it was like for the next few days. Now, Shawn has had his own taste of the good life during his time as a celebrity, but there was something different about the energy here. The butlers (yes, there were others besides Charles) always hovered a little bit, making sure that Shawn had everything he needed. Every maid was a little jumpy, always yelping or nearly toppling over a vase every time he walked past one of them when they didn’t see him. The only person who wasn’t moderately scatterbrain was Kat. She was very determined to remain professional around Shawn.

“You have a call with Spain today,” she told Sapphire, who was sat at the table in the garden with Shawn. They were having a delicious breakfast of eggs, sausages, and beans. Sounds plain, but when it comes from the chefs of a 27 year old billionaire, it hits different.

“Oh, KitKat,” she replied, looking up at her assistant, “when will Spain realize that there is nothing between us?”

Shawn couldn’t tell if she was referring to the country or a person with a country’s name. He chewed his food slowly, feeling pain in his throat. Maybe he was coming down with something. It was awfully cold the night of the party.

“I will tell them you’re on vacation… again,” Kat said, texting on her phone. “Okay, next: you have a meeting with the contractors to discuss the expansion of your closet. After that, you have a Skype meeting with the head of the Butterflies for the Better charity to further discuss the conflicts of interest with said head of charity.”

“Mm,” Sapphire hummed. Then she looked up from her plate. “Wait. Conflict of interest?”

Kat let out a breath, like she wasn’t keen on saying her next statement. “It seems that the head of the charity, Ms. Santiago herself, noticed your interest in her. She would have removed you from the organization altogether if you didn’t have something the charity needs: funding.”

It was kind of difficult to act like Shawn wasn’t listening in on this conversation, but he looked up at the two women, mild interest on his face. There was a name he recognized in there after all.

“Something you want to add, Mr. Mendes?” Kat asked, acknowledging him for the first time in days.

Sapphire looked at him as well, blue eyes expectant.

“Butterflies for the Better,” he said. “I, uh, I helped Bella get it off the ground last year. Didn’t know Sapphire was a trustee.”

“I am,” she said with a grin. “It’s such a wonderful charity, I didn’t know you had a hand in bringing it to life.”

Shawn nodded. “Yeah, yeah. I mean, I owe Bella a lot so I figured I could help her. But, what’s this conflict of interest thing?”

It turns out, Sapphire followed Bella’s YouTube channel almost religiously and had a not-so-tiny-or-secret crush on her. The two of them met in 2017, and kept in contact every so often. Meaning, Sapphire was not shy with her flirtatious comments on Bella’s Instagram posts. Bella wanted her involved in the charity’s creation, but only if Sapphire remained professional.

“I can’t help it. Have you seen her?” Sapphire pouted.

“Yeah, she’s very pretty,” Shawn told her. “But this isn’t about that. You have to keep the charity’s interests as a priority.”

“But do I have to Skype her for that?” she whined.

“How else is she going to know you’re serious?” Kat asked in return.

Shawn thought for a moment. He’s known Bella for a good few years, and while she has grown and evolved, some things just never changed.

“I think a text would be better,” he told the two women. “She doesn’t like anything resembling a phone or Skype call.”

Kat scoffed. “It’s unprofessional.”

“She’ll appreciate it,” he persisted. “And I just saw you text Spain, so.”

“Do what my little one says, KitKat,” Sapphire said pointedly.

The eye contact the two of them shared made Shawn remember a few questions he had to ask. He would have to wait when Kat wasn’t around, though. He was expecting some tension, dirty looks, or even something not-so-great between her and Sapphire, but things were… easy? Things were okay, and laidback? It was weird, but Shawn wasn’t going to complain. He just had to know why it was like this.

Sapphire was quick to slightly change the topic when Kat went back inside the mansion. "Speaking of Bella, she's in a video with another YouTuber, it came out today! You wanna watch it?"

"Yeah," Shawn replied. He was down for relaxing with a pretty girl and watching his equally pretty friend on YouTube.

The two went back inside, and Sapphire led him to one of the many sitting rooms with massive plasma screens. She excitedly booted up YouTube and put on said video, "I Spent a Day with Legendary Beauty Gurus."

Bella was among two other beauty gurus, separate interviews that were cut together into one video. They were all interviewed about "the wonderous world of being a makeup artist on YouTube." However, Bella referred to herself as an "almost artist," saying that she dropped out of cosmetology school to pursue YouTube and attend the university for it. The interview was pretty funny and lighthearted, while being educational at the same time. The interviewer, Anthony Padilla, was quite funny himself and even hugged Bella when she got deep about a particular question. He wasn’t just some sleeze trying to get dirt and gossip out of his guests.

"I like this guy," Shawn said after the video was over, grabbing the remote and flicking through the recommended section. "Man, he's interviewed so many people. Sugar babies, OG YouTubers, furries? And…"

He stopped on one video, his stomach turning at the thumbnail. There was Anthony, with the inquisitive look on his face, and next to him was a very familiar face.

"I Spent a Day with GOTHS"

"Something catch your eye?" Sapphire asked him. "You can put on whatever you want."

Shawn pressed play before his brain could process it. There was the dramatic intro as always and the animation of Anthony plopping down in his seat before introducing himself. Shawn's heart went faster in anticipation as he watched each guest be introduced. One was a bald man in his 40s with tattoos all over his scalp, with a charming smile. Another was a lady with a mohawk and about a thousand face piercings and a serious tone. The last one was in fact-

"Ann! So nice to meet you!"

"You too!"

Her face was exactly the same. Her hair got longer, and there were bright green and blue streaks in it. She pushed strands behind her ear, revealing many piercings. She was in her signature black lipstick and a Wednesday Addams type of dress, paired with fishnets and leather platform boots.

Anthony got the same vibe. “Got a Wednesday look, I see.”

Ann chuckled. “She’s my style icon.”

Like the previous video, it cut back and forth between all three guests, but Shawn only cared about one. He leaned forward on the couch, immediately consumed by Ann’s voice and focusing in on her body language. She still rubbed her hands together, an indication that she was nervous to be on camera. The video was edited to zoom in on that gesture, since she did it so often as she was asked the first question.

“So what do you refer to yourself as? A goth, a death enthusiast?” Anthony asked.

“You know, I’ve never said I was goth out loud,” Ann said, “even though I looked the part, and other people said I was. I think within the last four or five years I’ve called myself a goth and just embraced the name.”

Shawn couldn’t believe it. He checked the video description to see when it came out, and it was a year ago. Four years prior to that, Ann was still dating him. At what point during university did she externally take on that label? Shawn couldn’t remember an instance where she called herself a goth.

He didn’t fast forward through the video even though he wanted to. He was still aware of the pink lady sat by him, even though she was scrolling on her phone, having gotten bored of the video already.

“Did you always wear black, or did you have a phase during your life of wearing other colors?”

“It’s funny, because my parents are polar opposites. My dad’s a goth and my mom is, for lack of a better word, a normie,” Ann said, folding her arms.

“Really? A goth and a normie?” Anthony replied, surprised.

The video cut to one of the other guests answering that question. Shawn huffed out a breath, almost sitting back until Ann came back on the screen.

“Yeah. So when I was a baby, they took turns dressing me everyday. One day I was in a pink frilly dress, the next I was in a plain black onesie. But as I got older, I migrated towards black and they let me wear dark clothes all the time.”

“Did you get made fun of in school?”

“Oh, I got made fun of all the way through university. The trick is to play along and the normies will stop giving a shit.”

Anthony laughed. “Really? Like how?”

Again, the video cut. Shawn grew impatient and grabbed the remote, forwarding the video until he saw Ann again.

“Okay, there was a guy I knew in college. Every time he’d see me, he was like ‘who’s soul are you sacrificing today?’ And I just looked around at our group of friends and said ‘I haven’t decided yet’ or like ‘I’m not hungry for souls, I want a heart instead.’”

That made Anthony’s and Shawn’s jaws drop. While Anthony was entertained by that answer, Shawn knew exactly what Ann was talking about. She had that interaction with Brian the first time they were introduced. It became a running joke with the two of them.

"What is a common misconception that the majority have about the goth subculture?"

"That we're all depressed and suicidal! I mean I am depressed but that has nothing to do with my tendency to wear black and think about the inevitability of death!"

Anthony chuckled. "You sound like a friend of mine."

"Seriously, like eighty percent of the goths I meet are some of the happiest people I've ever met!" Ann was talking louder, and using her hands more. She was hyping herself up. "We've reached a point where we respect ourselves enough to express ourselves exactly how we want, and be our authentic selves! What about that seems sad or depressing?"

It was true, because Shawn had seen that in her in the past. Ann was happiest in her darkest colors. She had a talent of making the most morbid things look beautiful.

As the other guests spoke, Shawn had no choice but to think back to Brian. He felt the pang of guilt that was still on his chest. He hadn’t spoken to Brian since the birthday party, and he had been too distracted with Sapphire to actually do anything about it. Shawn really ditched his best friend for a girl. Sure Sapphire is fun, and incredibly sexy. She’s a mindblowing lay…

Shawn zoned back into the video upon hearing his own name. He saw Ann chuckling, but quickly rewound the video to catch the context.

“So, as a goth, you tend to deviate from mainstream things,” Anthony prompted. “Is there any type of mainstream media you do enjoy?”

“Yeah, there are some pop artists I like,” Ann replied, nodding her head.

“Like who?”

“Uh… name some, and I’ll tell you.”

“Taylor Swift?”

“No.”

“Billie Eilish?”

“No.”

“Shawn Mendes?”

Ann went silent for a moment, brown eyes flickering to the camera. Then she chuckled, and rubbed her hands together.

Anthony grinned. “Did I guess one?”

Then, the video cut again. Frustrated, Shawn grumbled under his breath, not even realizing that Sapphire was paying attention once again.

“Something wrong, darling?” she asked.

He ignored her and fast forwarded again. Ann was on the screen.

“It’s funny you mention Shawn Mendes,” she said. “I actually loved him at one point in my life.”

“Yeah? Big fan?”

“Definitely.”

Shawn’s eyes were wide. It seemed like he was the only person that knew the real meaning of Ann’s statement. At one point in her life, she loved him. And he loved her. He loved her so much that her presence still lingers in his head and heart to this day, and it’s been almost five years since they broke up.

He didn’t like admitting it to himself, but Shawn was starting to think that Brian was right, and that was why he was kicked out of the makeshift dressing room the other night.

Sapphire piped up once the video was over, her hand reaching over and gently touching the back of Shawn’s neck. “Are you a goth or something? Why were you so interested in that video?”

He felt a weird chill and a type of deja vu go down his spine. It passed quickly, and he focused on the question. Sure, he was staying in this mansion for a while, but Sapphire was by no means a girlfriend, or someone with any kind of romantic interest in him. He could be honest. “That girl in the thumbnail. She’s my ex.”

That made the blonde grin with surprise. “Is she really? Didn’t know you had a type.”

Shawn chuckled. “A type?”

“Well of course. You dated a goth girl in the past. You slept with my assistant, who also dips into that realm.”

“You, you knew about me and Kat?” He blushed, and a pit formed in his stomach.

Sapphire giggled. “I know everything, baby. Can’t hide anything in this house,” she said with a wink. “And I don’t mind. We’re not dating, and you’re both hot. Everyone should love everyone at one point.” She suddenly gasped, her hands reaching for his arm. “Wait until you meet Sam! He’s going to come round in a few days! I adore him, and I know you will too!”

There was so much to take in, Shawn felt like he had whiplash.

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Actual fandom? Probably DC. That’s when I started reading fanfiction and really poked my head around online communities dedicated to media and all.

2. What is your latest fandom?

I don’t know, probably Marvel? Maybe Riverdale, but I was a fan of the comics before so

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

If I’m assuming this question is about the actual fandom and not the source material and the people in the fandom and its community as a whole? Probably the Percy Jackson fandom. Not really into it anymore so I don’t know the state of it now, but it was a pretty wholesome and positive community. Any community that calls it’s creator “Uncle Rick” has gotta be pretty dope.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

Oh lord save my soul for admitting I like this, but definitely Five Nights at Freddy’s. The indie gaming, creepypasta, underground subculture as a whole is something I regret getting into. Don’t get me wrong, I usually love the source material, but the fandom is just so bad. You probably know what I’m talking about, the fangirls who insist they’re insane and are in love with Slenderman or something.

But specifically on FNaF, lord, I don’t even know what the fandom is anymore. It’s a meme, a fetish, and a hellspace all at once. And I’m not gonna fucking lie, I’ve been in this hellhole long before any of that. Like, I can’t even try to escape it, I’m in it for the long haul. I was just someone who joined for the lore and now we’re here with fucking casual bongos and trash gang and fuck I didn’t ask for this. I can’t escape. I know so fucking much about the franchise it hurts my fucking soul. I remember when the FNaF 2 trailer came out and we were all micro-analyzing London Bridge Is Falling Down. I remember when Springtrap didn’t have a name and we called that fucking Spring Bonnie or Golden Bonnie. I survived that era and I have PTSD from it, trust me. I remember when we were naive enough to think FNaF 3 was the last game. I know what channels were born and what channels died because of that series. I know it all.

I’m sorry, I got off topic. BUT I DON’T GET TO FUCKING RANT ABOUT IT ENOUGH, FUCKING FUCKSHIT

Oh, and a lot of bandoms I was in too. I went through an alt phase where I’d only listen to shit like BVB, BMTH, MCR, PTV, SWS, and so on. Once again, that sort of fandom was the same as the indie/creepypasta in being ‘different’ and ‘insane’ and all that and I was no different. I was a weird fucking kid when I was like 13. I regret all of it.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

What even is my latest fandom? Um, we’ll just say Marvel because I’m really not into joining fandoms much anymore. Honestly, I was a big DC fan who felt the need to hate Marvel because no shit. Eventually, I just got sick of the absolute shit movies DC had and I decided I had nothing to lose by just watching Iron Man. When I watched it I realized “wow, superhero movies can actually be good???” and I just binged the entire MCU in one month and was ready to see the next movie in theatres and I think I’ve seen every single MCU movie in theatres since Civil War? Definitely since Homecoming. I gave up on DC movies. The new Aquaman looks like shit, I’m so fucking pissed they redid Mera’s look when she looked perfectly fucking fine before and now she’s oversexualized and it’s gross. I’m excited for the new DC Batwoman TV show because I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE A LIVE ACTION BATWOMAN SINCE THE DAWN OF FUCKING TIME

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

Probably the Tony Stark Defense Squad. As a collective whole, I think the Defense Squad is one of the sweetest, nicest corners of the fandom. We’re incredibly kind to each other, write great meta and fic, and it’s just a great community. Of course, there are assholes, but you know.

I might get flamed for saying this, but also the HYDRA Trash Party corner of the fandom is actually really nice? Like, they understand consent and abuse aftermath and all the real shit better than the rest of the fandom, not gonna lie. Like, for as dark as the fic is you’d expect the people to be fucking nasties, but I have never met a rude HTP enthusiast. Or even one who’s unaware of how consent and whump work. They’re all very aware and kind. It’s bizarre, considering the source material. They get an awful rep though.

10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Literally any fandom I’m in besides Marvel and DC. I think I wrote like 2 Riverdale fics. Getting into reading fanfic and getting into writing fanfic are two entirely different ballparks. I don’t really read that much fanfic anyway, especially not anymore. I read Marvel and DC, but even then. I think it’s hard because sometimes you can’t switch off the whole ‘reading like a writer’ thing. That’s why I enjoy classic literature. I’m a slut for some good ass prose and symbolism.

11. Who is your current OTP?

WinterIron, of ducking course.

12. Who is your current OT3?

I’m not really a fan of OT3s, to be honest, I find I’m personally pretty weak with writing poly relationships and I don’t really enjoy reading them because one character is usually focused on a lot more than the other two. But if I had to pick, I would say T’Challa/M’Baku/Bucky only because I am solely responsible for the creation of that abomination and you have no idea how much people begged me for a series after the first one, it astounded me.

13. Any NoTPs?

14. Go on, who are your BroTPs?

IronWidow is my top BroTP, but I also like WinterWidow as a BroTP. Stucky is good as a BroTP too, as well as Tony & Rhodey.

15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?

Literally any ship I have. Yall I’ve been here since WinterIron was obscure. But to name a specific one I’m just gonna go with Pietro/Tony. I don’t know, I just had an idea I was writing for them and I was thinking about how much missed out potential there was between them. And with Pietro as a whole, but you know. Marvel has to kill off the only good Maximoff they had.

Oh, Natasha/Pepper too, but they aren’t as obscure, I guess.

16. Are their any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike?

Stucky, clearly.

17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite?

Stony, and no. They fell apart for me, at least MCU-wise.

By now, WinterIron, I believe. I recently passed my count of fics for Superbat.

19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?

Pepperony, probably. I think it’s actually a cute and sweet ship and I like their in-canon moments, but I just can’t get behind reading fanfic of them? It never works out for me, I don’t really get it. It sucks because I do enjoy seeing their cute moments.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

I’ll do a different answer I thought of besides the first time I answered this. But Thruce was a big shocker for me. I didn’t even think about it during Ragnorak but then I saw an incorrect quote for it and I was like? Oh? This? This is a good, pure ship right here. The funny thing is, I actually wrote a fic with them as a side ship long before they hit it big so like, I was shocked when they came out of nowhere. But hey, I’m fucking here for it. I’ll probably never write it, but I’m here for it.

21. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?

Goodnight, My Angel. It was a Superbat fic and really sad, but I still love it.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Probably... You Deserve Love And You’ll Get It. No, I won’t link it because I hate it that much. I’m not even gonna talk about it. It’s my most popular fic too why

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

Super dorky, but The (Un)Wanted Kiss. It’s my first finished chapter fic, and the first chaptered fic I did on Tumblr and it just brings me a lot of nostalgia. It reminds me of where I was as a writer when I started it and it was an entire fic spawned from people wanting more of a simple 500-word prompt and that just blows my mind. It reminds me of the power of fans and how much love and support I got from it. It really kicked me off as a “serious fanfic writer” I think.

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

All You Are Is All I Need. That is a hot fucking mess. Probably The Red Halo too.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

I bullshit my way through them. My most recent fics have actually followed a trend of being named after songs.

Summaries. I always make them so fucking corny, I hate it.

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

One Foot In Front Of The Other, probably. Just because I want more fem!WinterIron fanart. I can’t say what scene because spoilers but.... yeah, anything from that would be great, really.

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

Sort of. I make some of my friends like Pizza read over my shit before I post it, but that’s not often, only when I think I need it. I don’t just because I write a lot and I’d feel bad for constantly annoying someone with making them read everything I write. I hate inconveniencing people.

30. What inspires you to write?

The better question is what doesn’t. I never stop thinking like a writer. My brain forgot how to turn off that feature.

31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?

Ummmm, I can’t think of an exact thing? I get so many beyond sweet comments and messages, it’s hard to pin down one comment. I think if I had to pick, I once got a message from someone on Tumblr who was old enough to be my mother complimenting me and telling me I didn’t write like a teenager and I think that was really sweet.

32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

Yes, yes, yes, yes. And honestly, any genre. I listen to everything. Everything. But specifically, Emilie Autumn has inspired a lot ideas/fics I’ve written.

33. Do you write oneshots, multi-chapter fics or huuuuuge epics?

All of the above.

34. What’s the word count on your longest fic?

Around 23k, I think?

Yes, and whatever I get prompted for, really.

For fanfiction, I guess romance? I mean, that’s really all my fanfiction is. Otherwise, I’ll write quite literally any genre I feel like. I go wherever an idea takes me. I’m character based, not genre or plot based.

Third. I fucking despise 1st person. I just do. That’s an entire rant we ain’t here for today.

Usually canon characters. I only use an OC when I absolutely have to, to make the plot do the plot stuff.

Nothing. My writing sucks. All of it is shit.

43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you?

Not really? I’m not knocking any of the other ‘big names’ in the Marvel fandom, but I don’t really draw inspiration from other fanfic writers. Not for plot, and definitely not for writing style. I get inspiration from fanart I see sometimes, but it’s never one main artist who I stalk to be inspired, just whatever I happen across online.

44. What ship do you feel needs more attention?

WinterIron, duh. I will not rest until WinterIron is the biggest ship in the Marvel fandom.

45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?

I’ve mentioned this fic before and honestly, it hasn’t been topped yet, but In the Company of Monsters by Chiaki_Hamano. It’s not even a Marvel fic, and it’s not even a ship I like, but god, I fucking adore it. I’d love to write something like it, but with WinterIron if I had the time, I think the entire world and setting would fit WinterIron beautifully.

46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why?

Well, that all depends on what they’re looking for in my fanfiction. If they’re looking for WinterIron, I’d probably tell them to start with The (Un)Wanted Kiss just because that’s one of my most loved fics and I think I did really well with it. But if they just want a general fic, A Great Connection is one I’m really proud of and I still get gushing feedback about.

47. Archive Of Our Own, Fanfiction.net or Tumblr - where do you prefer to post and why?

For just writing fanfic, Ao3. Tumblr can be a pain in the ass, and I don’t even use ff.net.

48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?

Yes. But only if 1, I really, really loved it or 2, I don’t think the fic has enough attention. It also helps if the writer responds to comments. I don’t see the significance of saying “I loved this!” if the fic has dozens of other comments saying the same thing. As a writer, I know what comments writers prefer. Longer ones, deep comments pointing out what things they liked, and so on. However if I write a comment that long, I like to get a response because you know, I love seeing the writer talking about the elements of the story I liked.

49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?

Not really, to be perfectly honest. Yes, I love and cherish every kudos and note I get, and the sweet comments make me want to die of joy. But I write for me. Even when I take prompts, in the end, I write because it makes me happy. Yes, I love the validation. But even without it, I would still write. I do not write fanfiction for you, I share fanfiction with you. There’s a difference. Writing makes me happy. If I only cared about the validation, I wouldn’t have a folder reserved of fics I’ll never post but I wrote just because I wanted to. I write to write. The moment I start writing for validation, I might as well stop writing, because it’s not worth it.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

Ummmm I think I was just curious? I was new to internet culture, I saw fanart of Superbat and I discovered Ao3 and was like “wow, this stuff exists??? Words for free????? About my favourite characters being happy and dating each other??????????” and it was a downward spiral. I was like, 11 when I read my first fanfiction. I was obsessed with Superbat fanart, and I thought, what would it hurt to try actually reading it? Like, that was so taboo to me. And now we’re here. Tadaaaaaah

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

Oh, a chance to ramble. Yay. I’m gonna rant because I’m a rant-y person.

I think something that annoys me about fanfiction is not necessarily a probably within fanfiction, but rather the outward view of it. Fanfic has an awful rep within the real world. The one-time fanfiction really took centre stage was when Fifty Shades came out, which only hurt the platform by furthering the stereotype that it’s all porn made for horny freaks who just want to get off.

I should not be ashamed to say I write fanfiction. I should not feel childish saying it to myself. No one should. At least half of my ‘fans’ are nearly a decade or more older than me. It’s clearly not something that’s immature or silly. Of course, it can be, but any hobby can be dumbed down to a kiddy version.

But fanfiction at its core is ignored for what it really is. When adults talk about fanfiction they belittle it and only see a tiny subsection of it, ignoring what it’s supposed to be about. It’s about creating transformative works for media you’re passionate about.

Fanfiction gets a worse rep than other transformative works such as fanart or whatever. Writing as a whole does. Fanfic is painted as this utter trash.

I’ve read fanfiction that made me cry, laugh, feel shit. I’ve read fanfiction that tackled heavy topics. Even on a sexual standpoint, I’ve read fanfiction that was willing to write erotica that published authors wouldn’t fucking touch. Both in a kink sense, but also in terms of how the relationship functions. I’ve read shitty fanfictions, sure. But I’ve read fanfictions that were better than 90% of the published books I’ve read. Even fanfics I didn’t like.

To put fanfiction into perspective, the average YA novel (the age group fanfiction is generally but not always aimed at) is 70k words. I’ve read fanfiction that blows that word count out of the water. And it takes fucking skill to write something that long. It’s not just writing a bunch of porn or cute scenes, that takes serious world building and character arcs.

Fanfiction kills so many tropes that are common in YA and literature in general. I read a YA after reading nothing but fanfiction for a long time and I was fucking appalled? It was a popular YA too. I won’t name what one because you could literally imagine anyone and it’d probably fit. The characters were flat, the romance was outright manipulative and toxic, the plot was dull, even the writing itself was bland. This was the type of book years ago I would’ve loved. But compared to most (of course, not all. Shit exists, but I think in fanfiction, we’re able to better filter out the shit) fanfictions, it was fucking trash.

When I started reading fanfiction, I assumed it’d lower my standards. The first time I picked up an actual novel I was relieved, excited to not have to deal with the problems that are in unpublished writings. But I quickly realized it was the complete opposite. Fanfiction threw my expectations through the roof. I expect fiction to include representation, fresh plots, interesting characters, thrilling romances, and decent fucking sex scenes if they’re there. But it just wasn’t there. It all fell flat. As someone seriously into the writing and reading community I hear so often that it’s hard for plots to be original and you shouldn’t judge on originality, but then I read fanfiction written by fucking teenagers that’s fucking mind-blowing with plot twists and original ideas, and I have to wonder is it really that hard? It’s clearly doable, you just have to take away the fanfiction part.

I have YA novels sitting on my sheld I know I’ll never read and enjoy because fanfiction just made my expectations too high. Which is good in a sense because I pray some of these amazing writers, when they get older will go on to write mind-blowing original novels and I hope that this generation of writers will put out great literature in ten to fifteen years, but for now I’m just… underwhelmed. I think it’s why I read a lot of classic literature too. Shit was better back then.

And yet despite all that, fanfiction is still made to look like shit in the modern media. It sucks so badly for fanfiction writers not to look like serious writers. I could publish one book, have it get the amount of attention my biggest fanfic got and be considered a serious author. My biggest fanfiction currently has 40k notes on Tumblr. Imagine if that were a published short story. It’d be a fucking hit. And there are others that make my numbers look small. And yet it’s brushed aside as unimpactful.

I think a lot of that stems from the fact that fanfic writers do generally start out younger. I’m 16. Others either are or were my age. But age does not equate to skill in writing. Sure, that is a factor, but it is not the entire story. I know a 14 yr old who writes some of the best prose I have ever seen. And even if younger fic writers aren’t on level yet, fanfiction is what’s helping them grow as a writer. But because we’re teenagers, we’re turned away just because of that. Even more specifically because we’re teenage girls (for the most part, I’m not saying other genders and/or age groups aren’t writing/reading fanfic) and we all know how society feels about them. It’s just a fucking shame that fanfiction can’t be respected for the legitimate form of writing it is because of the stigma. I’ve seen fanfic writers say they aren’t real writers because of the stigma, it’s awful. We feel the need to tear ourselves down for an admirable hobby. I can’t say my favourite book is a fanfiction I read, when I has every right to be a valid answer.

2: Company you’re always loyal to?

I dont have a specific game company favorite but I do like Banamco and Square Enix. Their game ideas and gameplay are interesting and the graphics are stunning. I would definitely throw rain money on them haha. xD. Otomate, Idea Factory and Rejet-san did well with their concepts, I just wish I could play most of them. ;v;

3: Best game you’ve ever played?

I know you have heard of me saying this in a million times but I’m still gonna say it. TALES OF XILLIA 2!!!!!!! As the first Tales of game franchise I ever played, the story really got me with all the emotions pouring out. The concept was brilliant and the angst is just TOO UNBEARABLE. I WANNA BLURT OUT MY LOVE TO THIS GAME BUT IT’LL TAKE FOREVER. ;v;

6: A game that’s changed you the most?

I think all the otome games I played changed me a lot when I first started knowing them. I can recognize and determine that I have a certain favorite and how my personality changes whenever I’m with a certain character. I normally would feel plain or just wing it with whoever I meet in real life (except my close friends) but now I’m in the otome community, I can be myself and scream the heck out loud. xD

7: A game you’ll never forget?

Still TOX2 lolol. But not only that, I would say Nightshade (Hyakka Hyakurou). Never in my life, an otome game would make me go crazy even tho I finished the whole game. The game just really attracts me in this madness. I’m still suggesting yall to play it if you may. ;v;

8: Best soundtrack?

OH, NICE QUESTION!!!!!! I enjoy every soundtrack from every game I played so this is hard to pick as the best. xP. Tho currently, I’m enjoying FFXV’s Afrojack - Brave!

14: A game you think would be cool if it had voice acting?

Ooooooh, this is interesting. Most of the games that doesnt have voice actings, I would voice act myself because I just love to huihui. But I would say….Hmmm…….Oh! Miwashiba’s games would be interesting if it adds voice acting, like 1bitheart! Though the game has voice acting, it would be nice if it’s full voice.

17: What game do you never tell people you play?

Tbh, most of you will know what game I play because I reblog the stuff related to it. xD. Though actually, I never reblog about Ni no Kuni? Sobs, I really should continue that game.

18: A game you wish your friends knew about?

Boy, I would wish they would play The Wayhaven Chronicles. The game is still in development but the first book was released a few months ago! I thank my friend who plays these interactive novel games and introduced me to this one. The writing was fantastic and the emotions in the game was really intense, even though it’s still Book one!!!!

27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry?

1. Tales of Xillia 2 - Of course, the entire game. :’)2. FFXV - The whole “people you love” deaths really broke my heart. Even in chapter 12 where Gentiana told everything and Luna suddenly appeared in front of Noctis was a really good angst, I was crying at 3am. :’)3. Nightshade - The bad ends were well written, the dying together and revenge because of the emperor’s stupid game, it was VERY BAD FOR MY HEART. The true endings were all so fluffy and cute, THAT TOO MAKE ME CRY, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR FAVORITE ASKED TO FREAKING MARRY. THAT ENDING IS BEST ENDING. (;A;)4. 30: A game that hasn’t been localized in your country that you think should be localized?

INTERESTING! I’ve always think that the games I wanted to be localized so I can enjoy them myself. Most of them are otomes, so it’s either Diabolik Lovers, Suran Digit (ESPECIALLY this one) and the upcoming one, Charade Maniac! I do wish the Uta no Prince Sama game franchise would be localized too. As for non otome ones, I’m still waiting for the translation for the new season of White Island, a Korean click-and-drag mystery game. Give it a try if you like!

bonjour y´all & welcome to this weeks reading list, which is already week 6 woooow. idk why i´m so motivated currently, it´s not funny anymore.

as usual, i´ve put together a list with all the fics i´ve read over the week & they were all freaking amazing. those are the once i personally preferred. all the writers are amazing, so don´t be sad if you did not make it on this weeks list.

okay, i actually hate gideon with a passion, but this broke my poor beating heart. like spence is so so heart broken, i can´t take that. this was so short, bu cute and good. i loved derek in it. good job!

hun, please don´t be so hard on yourself. you´re doing a great job here & your fic will get the recognition it deserves, i promise. SO GO READ IT YALL!!!! this chapter was so heartbreaking. but i really love how spencer supports her and is there for her. also that cute lil moment with Garcia, but also Morgan. my heart is swooning. really well done!!! be proud!

okay, first things first: username goals???? okay also angst, i love angst. this was really good angst. i enjoyed it a lot. don´t worry about your english, it´s perfect. and this story was freaking amazing, congrats!

this was so so beautiful. i loved how Luke wanted the blessing of Y/N´s father. and the end aawwww, so sweet. literally @ the anon writing this: this was so sos so so so good. they are so relationship goals, i´m jealous.

okay, i really loved spencer´s casual reaction to what the reader had to say. this is how everybody actually should be. can this be possible??? this was perfect, great work!

all the freaking angst, i´m loving it. this chapter was so so good, i can´t deal with it. i can´t wait for more. this story is giving me life! good job! :) you´re awesome!

i love me some good hotch fics, and yours was a shorty, but i loved it with my whole heart. this was cute & sweet af. i love Dad!Hotch a whole lot and i miss him tons. well done. :)

okay, this? SO SO GOOD. it actually deserves a second part, really. like it would fit, but only if you want it to continue, just saying. i loved it, it was so well written. the emotions were delivered in a perfect way, i could feel them all the back here over to germany. well done! great job:)

oooh spencer, i love you my man. i also loved the readers and dereks relationship and friendship here. and how jealous reid was hahahah. but the end was so sweet aww.

woowww. mind blown, i´m serious. this story was a good kind of different. like usually, it´s the reader who gets hurt or stuff. but it was interesting to see it the other way around & i liked it a lot. i loved how the reader took careof reid, it was so good awww. my poor baby! very well written!

ooookay, i already gave you feedback to this but i´m gonna gladly repeat myself. first of all, this was the first entry to my 600 followers celebration challenge and let me tell you, this was so so good. my mind was blown. i´m so happy omg. how can angst make someone this happy lol? this story was a legit masterpiece. the angst = perfect!!! we legit need a second part to this istg (only if you want to lol i just think it could fit here.) great job!

awww it started with some angst which turned into fluff. it´s so obvious that Luke has the hots for Ella duuuh. i can´t wait for more. i loved the ending. this whole part was really good. well done :)

you know how much i love your story :) the angst is getting heavier from chapter to chapter, i´m loving it <3 the reader is so so brave and fearless and so willing to fight. i admire her so much! the end, oh lord. my poor heart. poor spencer! again, great job!

aww you with the username goals, hi. i love your writings. this one was so so cute. i´m still sitting here and “aww” - ing about it. i´m crying. spence is me, like literally i would burn the whole freaking house down if i would try to cook (not to mention cook and multitask lol). but the thought was so cute and kind. they are relationship goals, without question.

okay, so the beginning of this story was all cute and fluffy and happy, but then the turn...wow. there was some deep angst into this and especially the end had me at the edge of my seat. but i totally get the reader...spencer, you better solve this! great work!

ok, this was SWEET awwww i´m in love. spencer was so cute omg. i also loved derek & penelope in this. they are goals!!!!! this is a great story & your writing style is amazing! well done!

awww also some cute spencer stuff, i´m crying. you´re all blessing me with your talent. okay this was so cute and there is actually nothing bad about having stuffed animals, like i myself still have them in my room, so what? spencer is such an amazing and understanding bf. he´s perfect (what else is new?). well done!

ok...omg the angst...like omg. “you might be morgan´s baby girl but you´re one of my best friends.” - brb crying. the end----awwwwwwww i don´t really ship them, but this was beyond cute ugh :)())))) my heart is happy! i just loved everything about this, really. i would totally be fine with the season finale continueing like this. great work, nicole :))))

ok this fic here was a piece for my challenge which is currently running around on here :) and let´s just say this was perfection! first of all: it´s a matt fic my heart is swooning. the friendship between him and emily is so so pure i´m in love. it was so perfectly angsty and i loved the plot! great job & thanks again for joining!

awww another fic for my challenge, this time it´s a tara one. and let´s just say it´s about tara just being an independent badass woman who´s able to stand up for herself and takes no shit from any man. i loved this plot and what you made of the prompt. the end broke my heart tho, my pure babe. the angst was def there and i enjoyed reading it. thanks for participating! :)

angst overload wooow. mind blown. the relationship between hotch, reid & the reader is goals, i´m loving it. this plot was really good, some heavy angst, but only mentioned, but really good. i´ve felt all the emotions and the end had my heart melting! well done :)

with this masterpiece, i wanna close this weeks list bc holy shit i´m shook. the reader is so so freaking strong and i admire her so much. and specner, can he finally get the award for cutest bf of the year? he is always so supportive and caring. this fic was everything and it´s the perfect end to a perfect week! great job, well done! :)
