CHAPTER II of Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars turned 20 years old today, and 7 years ago I couldn't help but notice that storyboard artist Bryan Andrews seemed to sneak a reference to this episode in The Powerpuff Girls episode "Live and Let Dynamo"....
which Bryan also storyboarded....
Same energy? Yes, but there is NO way that this could be just a coincidence....

Mr. Monckton telling Cecilia:
“Be upon your guard,” he cried, “with all new acquaintance; judge nobody from appearances; form no friendship rashly; take time to look about you, and remember you can make no alteration in your way of life, without greater probability of faring worse, than chance of faring better.
Has the same vibes as this video:

Entropy
Recommended Music: Still Into You - Paramore
Entropy is a thermodynamic concept that measures the degree of disorder of particles in a physical system.
By starting to cook in her boyfriend's kitchen, Viper gradually increases the degree of local entropy.
Chamber's favorite sea fruit was a giant cockroach that he prepared a strange sticky rice along with a little bamboo and a few berries to accompany.
Chamber would kill her if he knew Viper was calling his culinary specialty like that. And Viper was laughing in the face of danger when trying to replicate his preparation of lobster risotto with asparagus and gratin tomatoes cherries for him.
After all, it couldn't be that hard. Viper had seen him do it a million times (two, in fact, since he always varied on the dishes) and everything seemed pretty simple. Besides, by heavens, she was a PHD in chemistry; she had a closet with only the prizes she had ever won in her life for her intelligence. She was sure she could manage herself in the kitchen.
And the kitchen in question was obviously Chamber's kitchen, as Viper discovered that in her fridge, she only had frozen food and Viper came to the conclusion that Chamber would never look her in the face again if she deed to give it to him. His limit to eating crap was definitely in the minute lasagna.
Viper put a video on her phone with the recipe chosen while looking inside his refrigerator. She found the lobster, which looked more like a dinosaur, carefully stored in a vacuum bag. It was heavier than she imagined and had a very thick shell. Viper threw the thing on the kitchen counter, looking from it to the video.
- Cook in the pressure pan… - She muttered to herself and took a deep breath.
It didn't matter how much technology had evolved to create security for cookers.
Viper still had a trauma of pressure pans. She wanted to distance herself from those deadly weapons, even if she herself was an expert in deadly weapons.
She ran her hand through her hair, sighing. She'd need a drink to face that. Chamber always drank wine while cooking. Maybe that would help her get in the mood.
She went to his super-safe cellar, waiting for the system to scan her and approve her presence. She opened the cellar and took a bottle of Merlot to drink and a Chardonnay to cook. Walked back into the kitchen, looking at its labels to make sure the quality was good. She put the white wine on the counter and opened the red one, grabbing a glass. She poured the drink there, taking a big sip before going back to the lobster.
Viper hunted the pressure pan between Chamber's pots, all extremely clean and well cared. She took the dreaded pressure pan and put it on the countertop. It was big. It would take a while to fill it up.
She put the pan to fill with the filtered water and watched the video of how to make risotto while drinking the wine. It didn't seem hard. She should only be patient.
She put the dinosaur in the pressure cooker and put it to cook. It took her a couple of minutes to figure out how to turn on that weird Chamber oven, whose fire was much more powerful than average. It would be easy to burn anything in there if you weren't used to using it. After that, she gathered the ingredients she needed for the risotto on the countertop. She took a grater and started grating the cheese, looking at the screen of her cell phone, making a mental note that the lobster shouldn't stay too long under the pressure. She gave a slight smile, thinking of Chamber.
"So... You learned how to cook?"
"Yes. It’s... Relaxing."
"I thought you hate to get dirty."
"I hate it. But I can survive a lot of things for what I want and if I'm going to eat something of quality."
Viper could practically see the malicious smile he sent her by the double-entendre phrase. She rolled her eyes at the time, struggling not to smile back. Viper wondered what his reaction would be like when he saw his dish made by her. He should like the surprise.
-Ouch! - She took her hand away from the grater, dropping the cheese on the countertop. She managed to scratch herself with the grater.
Viper made a grimace, putting her finger in her mouth while taking the rest of the cheese out of the grater with her free hand. She had not yet figured out how Chamber found cooking relaxing, and she was already starting to get stressed out. She took the glass of wine, drinking the rest of the content. She looked at the empty glass and made a grimace, putting more Merlot in it.
She cut the parsley and onion more carefully. That last damn vegetable made her eyes burn. She sniffed, crying while cutting the onion.
- Freakin OUCH - She ran her finger through the eye, wiping a tear and ended up passing the acid from her hand to the eye. The eye burned. - CAZZO!
And she had begun to swear in Italian.
Viper groped the counter without being able to see the way to the sink. The pressure cooker picked up pressure and Viper cursed again, giving a fright jump by the loud, sudden noise. She reached the spout, washing her hands as she could and then threw the water in her eyes, wetting her face, the front of her hair and the floor.
Viper snored, throwing her hair back.
- Che palle... - She mumbled, drying her face with her blouse. She made a grimace, seeking the glass of wine, drinking all the contents in two big sips.
Viper looked at the onion angrily as she filled the glass with more wine, her eyes still burning and blurry. She finished cutting the onion, trying to get as far away from it acid as possible. Yet, her eyes were affected, and she had to wash her face again, trying to disperse the effect. She didn't even care to dry her face properly. Fortunately, when she went to cut the garlic, the acid from that didn't hurt her as much as the other.
Ok. She had all the ingredients for the risotto and... Oh, it would be nice to leave the asparagus already washed and separated. Viper drank some of the wine while taking the asparagus out of the package, placing it on the countertop. The vegetables spread across the surface and some fell to the ground. Viper gave a grumpy grumbling, lowering herself to pick up the asparagus and, when she went to get up, she hit her head on the bench.
- Ouch! - She made a grimace, standing up and massaging her sore head. Viper snoozes, throwing the asparagus on the bench. She put her hands there, angry.
"Are you nervous?"
"... No. I'm furious."
"That never solved anything."
"How about a shot? That solves a lot of things."
"... You definitely need to relax."
She slapped her cheeks, squeezing her eyes tightly and breathing deep. She hated to admit that Chamber was right. Making things angry never solved anything.
-Alright. Relax. - She spun her shoulders and looked at the asparagus. - I can do it! - She nodded to herself, taking the knife.
She cut the asparagus stalk and placed them in a bowl with water and a sterilizing mixture, along with the small tomatoes properly removed from the package. She was rewarding herself for the newly done task with another sip of wine, until she choked, remembering that she had to take the lobster out of the pressure.
- Cazzo que palle. - She coughed a little, going to the stove and turning off the fire under the pressure cooker.
Viper tilted her head from side to side, trying to figure out what she was supposed to do. She wasn't going to touch that thing until it stopped making noise. And... If it'd stayed longer on the pressure, it was going to get even softer, right?
Viper nodded to herself, satisfied by her logical reasoning, and drank her wine. She coughed a little, sniffing, and began to prepare the broth for the risotto.
A liter of water with vegetable broth dissolved in it should boil to be mixed with rice. And... she had forgotten to warm up the water.
She put the water in a pot, humming a lively song that had come into her head while heating the broth. She laughed low with herself, thinking about how it was like when Chamber discovered about her secret musical taste.
"I can't believe you like Taylor Swift"
"Don’t you dare..."
"Have you ever been to a concert or something? Oh no, I bet you have all the albums! ... Hey! Don't look at me like you want to kill me. You know I like Britney Spears. "
"... What?"
"No one can resist a generic blonde. Come! Dance with me!"
"... Chamber. I have to work."
"I'm serious. Come here! OH BABY BABY!"
Viper laughed, her faces getting warm. Oh heavens, he didn't even have to be there to make her blush. It was so embarrassing.
She danced through the kitchen, humming random, snare-up songs while drinking. She let some wine pour on the floor but she didn't care. She took the onion and put it in a pot, going to put it on the fire. Viper watched the pan start to heat up, making a beak with her lips. Something was missing... Oh yes, oil! But Chamber used butter or olive oil...
What if she put it all in at once?
Viper shrugged, putting oil in the pan with onion. She went to the fridge, picking up the butter inside it and opening the pot. She took a spoon and took out a generous amount of butter, throwing it in the pan. She smiled, turning to her toes to get more of her wine. She frowned for the empty glass and fetched the bottle of Merlot. Viper took the bottle and thought about putting it in the glass.
Oh, it would be so much work. It was easier to drink from the bottleneck.
As she turned a bottle of wine over her mouth, she turned a bottle of olive oil into the pan. Viper lowered the bottle of wine, placing the bottle of olive oil on the counter and grabbing a wooden spoon. She sobbed, stirring the onions. She didn't quite understand why some had been clinging to the bottom of the pan.
A few drops of fat splashed on her and Viper moved away quickly. The bottle of Merlot slipped from her hand and scoffed on the floor.
- MERDE! - Viper took a few steps back, avoiding the broken glass.
Even if there wasn't a significant amount of wine inside the bottle, it made quite a mess. She began to grumble in Italian, lowering herself to pick up the shards of glass. How was she going to clean that? She had no idea where Chamber left the cleaning products. Viper took a deep breath, throwing the glass away and wrinkled her nose by the strange smell she felt.
She forgot about the onions.
Viper ran back to the fire, mixing the onion quickly. Damn, why did he have such a strong oven? Some onions had been burned...
It's all right. I couldn't even taste it anyway.
Now she should be near the stove anyway. Then i'd clean up the wine mess. Viper took a handful of arboreal rice and put it in the pan, stirring the same. It was a repetitive, tedious task. Viper still didn’t understand how Chamber had acquired pleasure in doing that. She smiled a little, thinking about him and his crazy ideas. She remembered a song she hated to admit she liked but reminded her of him.
-Can'tcounthe years one hand that we've been together! - She hummed it wrong and squeaking, stirring her body at the pace in her head. - Ineedtheone to hoooold you Make you feel Make you feel bettah!
Viper shook her hip at the beat of the song, singing. She wanted Chamber there. He made her dance even when she didn't want to and she always ended up liking it.
- It'snotawalk in the park tu loveach other! - Viper opened the white wine, throwing it in the pan. - But when our fingers inter... inter... Interlock! Can't deny Can't deny You're worth it! - After she thought there was a fair amount of wine, she drank it from the bottleneck.
Viper coughed, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Chardonnay was very different from Merlot, but it was what she had. Viper looked at the rice drizzled with wine and shrugged, spinning through the kitchen.
- Cause after aaall this tiiiime... - Viper felt her cheeks pull back in a smile by the chorus, picking up the canister with asparagus and tomatoes and pouring the liquid into the sink. - I'm still into you! - Some of the asparagus fell into the sink. But they were so few, it wouldn't even make a difference.
What made a difference was Chamber. Chamber who was a master at getting her out of her way and calming her down at an impressive speed. Chamber that was different because he could make her laugh being an idiot and a genius at the same time.
Viper took a frying pan and put the asparagus there, throwing them on the stove.
-Should Be overallthe butterfliiiiiiies - She should do something with the risotto... Oh, yes, the broth. - But I'm into you
Viper put a large amount of the risotto’s broth in the pan with the rice, letting it spill a little on the stove. She stirred it with one hand while drinking more of the wine. She snared when she pulled the bottle out of her mouth, looking at the drowned rice. She shrugged again, looking at the asparagus then.
- And baby evenonour woooorst - She sobbed the last word of the verse, turning on the fire for the asparagus. She remembered to put the garlic to season and staggering up to the countertop. She took about ten peeled garlic and went back to the frying pan, throwing them whole there. - I'm into you...
Viper made a peck while moving the risotto pan. She looked at the wine near her, narrowing her eyes a little. She has seen Chamber make some flaming recipes. It didn't seem hard and it looked really good.
Well, if an idiot like Phoenix could play with fire, a renowned scientist could do it too!
Viper put a generous amount of white wine in the frying pan and turned it slowly, leaving it in contact with the fire.
BOOM
She jumped back when the flames flew stove up, much more intense than she expected. Viper slipped on the spilled wine on the floor and fell back.
However, someone held her before she fell to the ground. Had anyone come in?
Viper leaned her head back, facing a Chamber staring to his kitchen.
And he didn't seem happy by that surprise.
