Nielsen (Punk Rock & Paintbrushes) and Warren Fitzgerald (THE VANDALS). The exclusive coffee table art book will be out April 15 and is available for pre-order now at www.PunkRockArt.com.
Punk Rock & Paintbrushes is a unique arts management company and art show producer that bridges the gap between art and music. "The Insides Of Artists Written By Outsiders" features 26 chapters, each showcasing artwork and personal stories from participating artists.

Nielsen created Punk Rock & Paintbrushes as a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and wildness, their lifestyle, their talents and successes at gallery exhibits and music festivals. As an extension of these exhibitions, "The Insides Of Artists Written By Outsiders" represents these sentiments and reminds us that "punk rock is not just about music and paintbrushes are not just tethered to the idea of art, but instead the two together are the perfect combination of life in a radical way," says Nielsen.
The roots of Punk Rock & Paintbrushes reach back to 2007 when Nielsen asked friend Tim McIlrath (RISE AGAINST) to paint a piece of art with the lyrics to the RISE AGAINST song "Survive" for her after overcoming a battle with cancer. The painting has traveled around the world with Emily and is an everyday reminder that "how we survive is what makes us who we are."

Six Words Long
kronette replied to your photo “Probably second most popular in the history of Escapade slash con is...”
I didn't realize there was a newer version. I am a serial vid watcher, pretty much don't care what the fandom is. Speaking of...was there a vid for Pros to This Songs Just 6 Words Long? I swear I saw it once, but not a trace of it anywhere. p.s. THE SWEATER.
From 2015. It’s an overview of the whole series with all those characters everyone forgets, like Charlie DeSalvo. What was the older one like?
I get most of my history knowledge from Fanlore or from the same places Fanlore is sourcing from. Looks to me like that Pros vid is by MVD.
https://fanlore.org/wiki/List_of_The_Professionals_Early_Songvids
And she has her vids up on Youtube these days! (Of course, these days she also makes trump fanvids, which... ewww.... But I still like her older stuff.)

Guest Cast
Tumblr media
Charles Levin (Sergeant Green) made his screen debut in Woody Allen's Annie Hall (1977) and was also seen in Allen's Manhattan (1979). He had recurring roles on “Alice” (as Elliott Novak), “Hill Street Blues” (as Eddie Gregg), and “Capital News” (as Vinnie DeSalvo).
Tumblr media
Lou Cuttell (Charlie Zellman) made his screen debut on a 1964 episode of “The Dick Van Dyke Show.”  He was recently part of the company of improv performers featured on “Betty White's Off Their Rockers.”  He retired in 2010 at the age of 80.
Charlie Zellman rents guard geese.
Tumblr media
Oliver (Guard Goose)
Tom Williams (Crying Goose Voice Over, uncredited) is an actor and voice artists who worked extensively on “Adam-12” (1968-71). This is the first of his three voice roles on “Life With Lucy.”  He will also provide a dog bark and the buzzing of a fly!  Williams retired in 2010.
Williams only did the cry of the wounded and recovering Oliver.  A recorded honk was used for Oliver's other vocalizations.
Tumblr media
This was the second episode filmed, but in order to fight the expected ratings drop after the series premiere, it was decided to move the episode guest-starring John Ritter (filmed fourth) to second and save this one for later in the run. It was scheduled to air November 22, 1986 but the series was canceled before it could air.  ABC moved a half-hour series called “Sidekicks” from Fridays into Lucy's Saturday night time slot. The episode of “Sidekicks” that aired on November 22, 1986 starred Keye Luke, who had guest starred on “Here's Lucy” in 1972.
Tumblr media
As the episode opens, Margo is telling her family her dream about Bruce Springsteen. Kevin says he likes the dream his mother had about doing the tango with Tip O'Neill. Later in the episode, Margo is woken from a dream where Mick Jagger wanted her to join his group. She replied “Mick. You can't always get what you want.” "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is a song by the Rolling Stones written by Jagger and Keith Richards. It was named the 100th greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball makes her entrance three minutes into the episode to loud and continued applause from the studio audience.
Tumblr media
After Lucy's stern warning about the cholesterol in eggs, Curtis reveals his father (who ate eggs every day) lived to the age of 96.  Lucy's healthy breakfast consists of bran, granola, wheat germ, and dried bananas.
Kevin: “You know what humbug is?” “ Ted: “No, what is it?” Kevin: “A bug who can't remember the words! (laughs) Sometimes I crack myself up.”
Tumblr media
Leonard states historical precedence for using geese as guards and he is correct. Guard geese have been used throughout history, and in modern times. In ancient Rome, sacred geese were kept as guardians in the temple of Juno. While the Roman soldiers and watch dogs slept, Juno's sacred geese warned Rome of the Gallic attack in 390 BC. On modern farms, geese are said to be good deterrents to predators of other domestic fowl and snakes. They are reported to have been used to guard US Air Defense Command installations in Germany, Ballantine's Distillery in Dumbarton, Scotland, and to protect a police station in Xinjiang, China.
The episode uses and exterior shot of M&B Hardware at night. The exterior was actually a vacant storefront located directly across the street from what is now the Warner Hollywood Studios, a couple of blocks west of the corner of Santa Monica and LaBrea Avenue in Hollywood.
Curtis says he's been in business for 36 years and never had a robbery. This establishes the founding of M&B Hardware in 1950, the year before “I Love Lucy” began airing.
Tumblr media
Lucy says she tried to call Charlie Zellman about Oliver, but got his machine and had to listen to Frankie Laine singing “I must go where the wild goose goes.” "The Cry of the Wild Goose" is a 1950 song written by Terry Gilkyson and made famous by Laine. The song was later covered by Lucy favorite Tennessee Ernie Ford.
Tumblr media
After Curtis throws a phone at Oliver, Lucy takes him home to nurse him back to health where she remembers that her daughter Margo is allergic to down feathers.
Trying to soothe Oliver, Harry sings “On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me.... One roasted goose!” Harry is paraphrasing "The Twelve Days of Christmas," an English Christmas carol published in 1780 as a chant or rhyme without music. Traditionally, geese are part of the sixth day refrain: “Six geese a-laying.”
Tumblr media
As Lucy, Curtis, and Ted each tussle with the unseen Oliver through the kitchen door, a few goose feathers blow through the doorway into the living room, a nice touch from production.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Using animals for human work was explored by Lucy Carmichael when she rented sheep to mow her lawn in a 1962 episode of “The Lucy Show.”
Tumblr media
Although they were mostly in the background, geese were also featured in “Lucy Discovers Wayne Newton” (TLS S4;E14) in 1965.
Tumblr media
Harry blusters about a policeman never being around when you need them while Sergeant Green is standing just behind him. Lucy Ricardo (with a loving cup stuck on her head) said something similar about the men in blue when standing next to one on a Brooklyn subway platform.
Tumblr media
On “The Lucy Show” Danfield had two Hardware Stores. Early episodes mentioned McClay's Hardware (named after Howard McClay, Lucille Ball's long-time publicist) and later William Schallert played the proprietor (and softball coach) who ran Cresant's Hardware (above).
Tumblr media
When Lucy Carter tries to prevent being robbed, she concocts a Rube Goldberg-like series of traps for the burglar – but no live animals were involved!
This Day in Lucy History  {had this episode aired as planned on November 22, 1986}
Tumblr media
"Lucy's Mother-In-Law" (ILL S4;E8) ~ November 22, 1954
Tumblr media
“Lucy and the Undercover Agent” (TLS S4;E10) ~ November 22, 1965
Tumblr media
"Ginger Rogers Comes to Tea" (HL S4;E11) ~ November 22, 1971

It has actually typically been thought about the first modern-day gangster movie, with many basic conventions of the criminal offense movie - and it was shot from the gangster's perspective. Highlander (Season 6 - Final)
Lastnight I watched the final episode of season 6 and the last series of highlander & I didn’t even know!! I just tried to look for season 7 n found to an upsetting conclusion that that was the last episode. Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod, Joe Dawson, Richie Ryan; and also Methos (Adam Pearson) & Amanda; Darius, Tessa Noël, Charlie DeSalvo and Hugh Fitzcairn. These are the main characters that were my favourites. I feel like I feel after finishing a good book. Kind of lost...One of my favourite series that now I can say I have watched through, except for that deleted episode involving terrorism in Paris. I wonder if there will be anymore movies or tv series to come???...

I later received a call from Ras Moshe Burnett telling me Will was in the hospital. A routine procedure had gone wrong. Will was in a coma and passed a few days later. The residency went on as planned. The air was heavy, but filled with love and respect. The Stone was packed with standing room only for the entire week. This performance was recorded live. Will used to sign his emails, “Peas and Lub” and so this CD, Peace and Love is dedicated with much love to the spirit of Will Connell. BIOGRAPHY: Rocco has built a career that straddles his early influences of “in” versus “out “. Recognizing the rich and vibrant community of New York improvisatory musicians, Rocco started the Improvisational Composers Ensemble (ICE) as an outlet for music that features improvisation as a major compositional element. PEACE AND LOVE is his fourth album as leader/composer and his second on the UR label along with EMBRACE THE CHANGE. “Rocco John Iacovone draws from a deep well for his musical inspiration, with sources as diverse as Eric Dolphy, JS Bach, Charlie Parker and Nadia Boulanger. “Terrell Holmes, All about Jazz “Saxophonist Rocco John has studied with Sam Rivers and Lee Konitz and his distinctly apparent ability to both compose and improvise in the Jazz idiom clearly reflects the lessons learned from these masters.” Russ Musto, All About jazz

Mortal characters not in the know - am I the only one who liked them?
I really liked Randi MacFarland.  I liked Charlie DeSalvo. And Bert Myers. I even liked the cops Bennett and Powell (in small doses).
Quite fond of Lucy and especially Tessa, too, but they were major characters and in the know.
