I wanted to make another little moodboard for these three, this time a vacation au one for them because I think it'd be super fun if they all met while on vacation and all that! hope y'all enjoy.

wasteland lovers: lucy/charlie/cooper relationship headcanons, fallout (tv).

summary: as the tile suggests, these are headcanons for the poly relationship between my fallout oc, charlie alongside lucy maclean and cooper howard!

warnings: 18+, minors dni. wlw relationships + f/m relationships. f/f/m relationships. poly dynamics. fluff. mentions of swearing. semi-smut (kinda?? i don't go into full on detail but it's there).

notes: these were super fun to make and I hope to make more for these three in the future, hope y'all enjoy!

First things first: top or bottom? I headcanon Lucy to be somewhat of a switch, Charlie is a top but doesn't mind being submissive here and there and Cooper's a full-on top.

The two biggest tropes in this relationship include love at first sight and enemies to lovers. The former is between Charlie and Lucy, Charlie had heart eyes for the vault dweller from the moment she entered the shop and the ladder is with Charlie and Cooper, such a hot head Cooper was with her.

While Charlie and Lucy got along great, it was hard for Charlie and Cooper as they'd bicker 24/7, it was practically their love language for a time.

The first time Charlie confessed her feelings for Lucy was during a shootout oddly enough, think like the chaotic marriage between Elizabeth and Will in POTC. It wasn't ideal but, it was so worth it for the two.

Charlie's love confession for Cooper was quite the opposite, calm funnily enough. Overtime, Cooper warmed up to both she and Lucy and Charlie had realized that and figured it'd be a perfect time to tell Coop how she really felt about him.

It was during a night watch, Charlie couldn't sleep while Lucy was sleeping like a baby. Cooper was the one to keep watch and decided to join him which later turned into her confessing her feelings.

Cooper didn't think he'd ever love again but, it did happen with both Charlie and Lucy.

Cooper has pet names for both the girls, those being: My girls, Sweetheart, Darlin', the usual. Charlie will go for calling Cooper Coop and Lucy 'Luc at times.

Both Cooper and Charlie are big spoons while Lucy is a little spoon though, she does like being big spoon with Charlie from time to time.

Charlie sometimes likes to wear Cooper's hat, she think it looks sweet on her (Cooper and Lucy couldn't agree more).

Love Languages? Charlie's is physical touch, Lucy's is affirmations and Cooper's is a mixture of physical touch and quality time (the last one especially the more he grows fond of the two women).

Charlie loooooves giving cheek and forehead kisses, Lucy likes the cheek kisses and Cooper prefers neck and regular mouth kisses.

Lucy likes wearing Charlie's jacket from time to time, if she's off on a supply run on her own or just feels like wearing it, it reminds her that she has a part of Charlie with her, she too also likes wearing Cooper's hat here and there.

The girls love holding each other's hands no matt what is they're doing or wear they are, they'll hold onto each other's hands.

Both girls don't mind PDA but Cooper's a little eh about it, he's possessive of the two and if PDA is involved, it's usually as a way of showing that they're his women, other than that he usually prefers private displays of affection.

Lucy likes to hug her partners from behind, it comforts both Charlie and Cooper.

While Cooper does get hot-headed, it's usually Charlie that calms him down easily. She knows what it's like to get easily frustrated and worked up but overtime, she's gotten better at trying to stay calm and she passes that calmness to Cooper.

If there's a nice, non-poisonous lake, Charlie and Lucy will usually bathe there together, they'll laugh and clean each other off and just stay in the presence of each other.

Charlie and Lucy also like to clean up each other's wounds and bandage each other up. Coop will also engage in bandaging the two up from time to time.

As mentioned earlier, Cooper can get quite possessive, he's VERY possessive of his girls. If someone bats an eye or even dares to think about touching his girls, he's on their asses quite quickly.

While Lucy is more a what the fudge kind of girl, both Charlie and Cooper have quite the mouth of cusses from fuck, shit, motherfucker, etc.

Cooper has a rope kink through and through, need I say more.

Cooper does catch the girls touching themselves and each other from time to time and, when he does, they're in for a wild night.

He loves giving them dirty talk.

He'll worship their bodies like crazy and is only soft around them, he'll praise the hell out of them too.

Calling them 'good girls' as he rawdogs them into oblivion.

He's into soft BDSM with them as well, that is if they can find the right stuff to work with. they do manage.

Afterwards, both Charlie and Cooper will cuddle into him, he allows it and doesn't mind.

Overall, the three work well together as a poly couple, they balance each other out and equal love is spilt all around.

notes: this probably isn't the best but I had fun writing these headcanons out and, as stated earlier, I hope to do more headcanons for these three in the future. anywho! feel free to spill your thoughts below if you'd like or whatever!

girl, i feel like i'm being so annoying with all the asks and for flooding your inbox but here i am again 😅

how does cooper waltz in to lucy, charlie and cass's lives in the pre-war au?

First of all: NONSENSE! like I said, girl, send in ANY AND ALLLLLL QUESTIONS regarding these three! I'm literally having so much fun talking about them.

Secondly, I'm absolutely GLAD you asked as I was literally talking about this last night with a mutual of mine (shoutout to @cloudofbutterflies92) and it's literally SO CUTE how he waltz's into their lives.

So, Cooper does still have Janey although he's divorced from Barb (Y'ALL DON'T COME FOR ME, I love Barb okay!). Anywho! The way he waltz into their life in the pre-war AU is that Cooper bumps into Charlie first when she's picking up Cass from school, the same school that Lucy works at as a teacher meaning she's also waiting on Lucy as well! Charlie is the first to notice Cooper, she knows how he's a big star and all but she's humble about it, all "Oh! I know you, although I wouldn't say you're the BIGGEST star of our time!" because she's a tease like that haha.

Both of the two do formally introduce themselves to one another though and it goes really smoothly. The moment that Cass and Lucy walk out is a game changer because Cooper sees the softest side of Charlie ever, all smiles when Cass runs to her and when Lucy comes by to hug her and give her a big ol' kiss on the cheek. Lucy notices Cooper and is all "who might this be, sweetie?" to which Charlie mentions that it's THE Cooper Howard. Cooper also introduces himself to Lucy and seeing how they are with Cass reminds him of how he is with Janey, all sweet and adorable!

so yeah, in short: he waltz's into their life at the very place the women's daughter goes for school!

little bonus: Cooper meets Charlie one other time at random when he casually walks into her shop where she's fixing up some shelves and it's so cute!!! he's all "I didn't know you worked here?" and she's all "I own it, mister 😌" haha.

okay! this is just quick (but messy) lore on my new fallout oc: charlie beckett + her relationship to both lucy and cooper.

**NOTE: Charlie is Pansexual/Poly.**

**SECOND NOTE: height difference goes crazy. lucy is 5'5, charlie is 5'7-5'8 and Cooper is 5'10.**

As the days went on of Charlie’s journey, she knew she’d have to make a pit stop eventually and camp out for a night or two. Luckily, she came across an abandoned shop just outside of a city: Filly. Charlie figured this would be the perfect time camp out in the place for the night HOWEVER, she had other ideas. If she could make a life for herself in the shop, she could make it a little home and a little shop at the same time and so, she did just that! Now, at the age of 24, Charlie has had quite the makeover for the shop and became a shopkeeper herself. Selling weapons, scraps and little supplies, she was doing pretty well for herself! That was until the two people that came just outside of filly would change her life forever: Lucy Maclean and Cooper “The Ghoul” Howard. 

Charlie Beckett was born post-war, a bit after the war ended. She was settled into a vault once she was born, seemingly orphaned essentially, her parents dying of an unknown cause (back to that later). Growing up, she had to learn things on her own, yes there were other vault dwellers to help but she mostly took it upon herself to learn on her own from fighting, learning how to use weapons properly, etc.

Charlie’s vault has water supply that usually keeps the vault dwellers going, they have one of the biggest tanks of it however, when vault dwellers start getting sick suddenly, Charlie decides to investigate further, wanting to know if there’s a secret the vault is hiding, which they are! The water used for other vault dwellers started making them act crazy, making them go berserk. She didn’t know at the time but, Charlie’s parents’ death was due to the water itself. They were gaining the effects of it, one day at a time therefore, they had no choice but to leave her behind to make sure not to watch as they slowly went crazy outside the vault. Once finding out about this big secret, Charlie had to figure out a way to escape the vault and find herself on her own. The vault usually tasks someone, once they’re old enough, to get more water supply every other week when they start running out. During Charlie’s lucky task day, she decides to run away from the vault and start fending for herself.

Lucy was a vault dweller who had decided to stop by on her way into Filly, the two got along great and it wound up being love at first sight for Charlie, almost. She’d wished Lucy had stayed longer but didn’t want to stop her journey so, the two said their goodbyes and went on with their day. Cooper was a different story, he’s a ghoul, a stubborn one at that. He, too, was making his way towards Filly when he decided to hit up the store. He and Charlie didn’t get off on the right foot, even telling Charlie to “Be careful with that tone, sweetheart” before he, too, went on with his day. It wasn’t until later that same day that she’d wind up bumping into the both of them again during a shootout within the town itself. 

This prompts a poly relationship between three and boom! Poly power couple of the wasteland.

All three were surprised to encounter each other again, Charlie staying during the shootout, mostly helping Lucy head into safety somewhere. She didn’t want to leave the shop behind but Lucy was sweet and she couldn’t help herself. She had Cooper to thank, too, as he did wind up saving her also. The more Charlie took a look at him the more she found him handsome, even if he was a ghoul. However, she stuck with Lucy for the time being. Eventually while spending enough time together, Charlie and Lucy get close and a romance is formed, a loving and sweet one.

The two bump into Cooper/The Ghoul for a final time, bringing them in with him on their journey. While with him, Charlie also gains feelings for him, it’s complicated at first but she has eyes for him. Cooper figures it out quite easily, and a moment between him and Charlie by a campfire prompts him to realize he cares for the woman, he cares for Lucy too despite how stubborn he is when they’re around. Charlie soon admits her feelings to him while also explaining to Lucy how much she truly loves both her and Cooper. She explains the same to Cooper, admitting to how she loves both of them, she feels equal love.

I think the first time Cooper truly realized that both Charlie and Lucy were his and that he had truly softened up to them was simply listening to them cracking jokes by the bonfire with him and just opening up alongside him.

it'd been so long since he actually felt that way and that night, something shifted within him, he truly felt loved after a long while.

Also! I don't think I've ever been in-depth about Charlie confessing her feelings to Cooper, so imma do that now!

So, these two are legit enemies to lovers. They get off on the wrong foot at the beginning and they just won't stop bickering and shouting at one another haha, poor Lucy 😭😭😭. However, as time goes on, it's evident that Charlie does calm herself around Cooper and just really starts to go soft on him, even if it takes Cooper some time to do the same with her (at first).

The moment Charlie officially realized that these feelings for the ghoulified cowboy weren't going away was when he had literally taken the chance to risk himself for her during a shootout, insisting on saving her. She was surprised and had never in million years had thought that a man like him would ever be willing to do that for someone like her.

To set the scene as to how she confesses, It would take place during a bonfire, Lucy is fast asleep while Cooper and Lucy are out just chilling and keeping watch. Charlie would soon say something along the lines of "You may not believe it, Coop but, I've come to realize that...I've liked you for a while now and I can't keep hiding it anymore."

Cooper would be taken aback for a moment, insisting "I'm not capable of love, sweetheart. That part me left a long fuckin' time ago, you don't want to love me." To which Charlie insists that that's not true, far from it. She knows there's still a part of Cooper that's willing to be in love again, his humanity isn't too far gone despite the man that he's become today. At this point too, the both of them are at their most vulnerable with each other, their showing sides to them that they've never necessarily shown eachother before and I think it's one of those things that really brings the two together. Charlie refers back to the shootout, asking why? Why did he decide on risking himself for her (and Lucy too) when he could've left her for dead?

Cooper would make up a bullshit answer before standing up and being all "Because a part of me cares, dammit! I can't stand the idea of having you quit on me, on us, Lucy and I, I know how much it'd hurt Lucy if I left you out there alone.""It'd hurt you too, Coop." "You're fucking right it would. Y'know, I couldn't fucking stand you at first, we both know this but....I grew to care, darlin' and I need you here with me for who knows how long, I want you here with me, both you and Lucy because I can't stand the thought of leaving y'all both behind, Charlie.

I do believe that's where their first kiss would play out too, Charlie would be the one to go in first before Coop follows. They'd tell Lucy about it the next day as well, or maybe Lucy would say something along the lines of, "I heard more bickering from you two last night, something up?" To which they'd explain and yada yada yada.

From that moment forward, the two would finally become a pair and, ofc, a poly relationship would form as well considering how quick it is that Cooper confesses his love to Lucy first before the whole confession between him and Charlie. (i love these three so much OH MY GODDDD)

how do you see cooper falling in love with lucy in wasteland lovers? he's a straightforward person and i'm guessing so is charlie, so them both hitting it off will not be that complicated (i mean kinda 😅 they are enemies to lovers after all; a scene just came to my head in a scenario where he confesses first: "listen sweetheart, i fancy you. now, you can either tell me to fuck off or this thing can become your problem too") but i feel that he will either hesitate or deny his feelings for lucy as long as he can, because her entire philosphosy defies who he is as a person, untill... idk until what actually 😅 but i guess this is just my angsty heart speaking 🤭

how do I see cooper falling in love with lucy in wasteland lovers? I mean, I think it's in the same vain as him and charlie, the whole "oh you're such an annoyance GOD" to "you're such an annoyance but god do i love you!" although I think him falling in love/for lucy comes a bit quicker than how he did with Charlie, if that makes sense.

Charlie is a "playing hard to get" type of gal even though she did end up confessing her feelings to Cooper first whereas I think Lucy is a bit oblivious over the feelings Cooper holds for her until he confesses because he would confess first me thinks. Overtime, he just grows so fond of her (and Charlie) and Lucy becomes someone that he cares for and I think that's when the love clicks for him, he wants her in his life and wants to care and be there for her.

So, yeah, I do think his confession is somewhat like how you imagined FOR SURE, he's all "listen, sweetheart, I love ya but if you don't think it'll work, we might as well both fuck off and be on our own ways" and that's when Lucy's all "oh!?" and maybe thinks about it for some time before telling him "i....like you too! and I think we can make something happen out of it" which they end up doing just that and they're both in love and happy with each other. they may be polar opposites but they make it work!
