In Sickness and in Health
First of all, thank you to @devikafernando for allowing me to use Charlie from our collab fanfics over at @titrianddevikawrite. I know you can use the distraction too, maybe? (By the way, this is probably an AU from our storyline as I’ve got no idea how this is going to fit anywhere :D )
And secondly, @pipolaki requested “If I die, I’m haunting you first.” from this prompt list
Enjoy on AO3 or under the cut!
In Sickness and in Health
Charlotte Cromwell – no, she corrects herself – Charlotte Hiddleston makes her way home after an exhausting day in the hospital. It’s nothing unusual, hell, she’s had a hundred times more horrible days somewhere in the past. It’s just that it didn’t really matter then. Not as much as it does now. Because as much as Charlie loves her job and helping her little patients, it’s definitely nothing compared to the life she’s living at home now.
Tom’s waiting for her there. Tom and their two daughters, because yes, Evie’s ‘hers’ now as well, and just as loved as little Rose is – who by now has her own little personality and is keeping her parents busy with all the enthusiasm and lust for adventure a two-year-old can have – especially being the daughter of one Tom Hiddleston.
Okay, Charlie admits as she slips out of her shoes first and then loses her jacket, the last week has been kind of hellish at home as well with her very own little patients waiting for her. First, it was Evie bringing the flu home from school. Of course, it didn’t take long for Rose to catch it, too, no matter how careful Tom and Charlie had been. But now it seems like their children survived – Tom has probably suffered more than them, though – and Charlie’s just glad it’s over for now.
She checks the clock in the kitchen as she prepares her tea. 9 o’clock. She swears. She wanted to tell the children goodnight, but well, sometimes her job means that she can’t make it home to her own children in order to help others. Tom knows this and Evie gets it as well, little Rose is still too young to actually understand.
At least she can still hear the tv playing in the living-room, so she knows Tom’s still there and waiting for her. It is strangely quiet otherwise, though, no padding of feet on the floor announcing her husband making his way over to meet her. Maybe Tom’s fallen asleep? The two cats aren’t coming, either, but then again they may be out and about in the neighbourhood.
Charlie grabs the tea she’s prepared and makes her way from the kitchen to the living-room right next to it. She feels so at home in Tom’s house. It’s not the largest they could get probably, and it’s still the one Tom and Evie lived in with Emily, but it’s amazing how quickly they were all able to call it ‘theirs’.
And then Charlie stops before she’s reached the comfy couch Tom loves to lounge on. He’s indeed asleep. And slightly snoring, which is unusual for him, except for when he’s a bit tipsy – Charlie can’t see a sign of that anywhere – or when he comes down with the flu. You don’t really need to be a doctor to get it, do you?
She refrains from rolling her eyes, because just yesterday her husband told her how he never got sick and wouldn’t start with it now, but instead smiles sympathetically, puts down her tea on the coffee table and sits down next to Tom.
His skin is already a bit clammy and his hair sticks to his forehead. She rubs his shoulder softly, trying to get him to wake up without startling him.
“Tom?” she whispers. “Tom, love, wake up for me?”
“No,” is the mumbled reply, groaned into the pillow underneath his head.
Charlie smothers a grin. She’s seen him with a cold or the flu once or twice. She knows what state he’s in. Right after ‘I’m invincible, I’ll never get the flu’ comes ‘I’m perfectly fine, I simply choked and am not currently coughing my lungs out’. It’s paired with already being sick and the most stubborn pouts she’s ever seen on a grown-up’s face. But no matter how much Tom refuses to be sick, he actually is. So. No mocking him. At least not tonight. Tonight she wants to drink her tea, re-heat the dinner her family’s had and then go to bed, preferably with Tom.
“I think you’re already awake, though,” she whispers back. “And I can imagine you’re not feeling too good.”
“’m fine.”
“Fine.”
Blue eyes, a bit too glassy for her taste, stare back at her. With a slight cough Tom pushes himself up on his forearms, barely able to hold his own bodyweight. The hair that’s not stuck to his forehead falls in a mess of curls around his face. “Feeling good. How was your day?”
“Tom…”
“Charlie.”
She raises a brow. “You’re really going to do this? Even though we both know how this will end?”
The glare loses some of its power – that it didn’t even have in the first place – with the quiet sniffling Tom’s doing. “I don’t know what you mean,” he croaks out. “I just want to know how my wife’s feeling.”
Charlie chuckles. There really isn’t much else to do. Let him be stubborn, she’s going to prepare for tomorrow morning then. “Better than her husband I think,” she mumbles, but continues at Tom’s huff, “I’m a bit tired and a bit hungry. I’d love to eat some late dinner and then go to bed. Would you care to join me?”
He nods. “I’d love that. But no funny business if you’re tired.”
This time, she can’t smother the laugh that escapes her. “Understood. I’m the reason we’re not doing that tonight, my big, strong, healthy man. Thank you for looking out for me.”
***
Well, the next morning Charlie is awoken by her big, strong and healthy man moaning and groaning next to her in bed. And not in that sexy-bedroom-voice of his. It’s a little pathetic coughing that comes next and a very (very, very) weakly whispered, “Charlie, love? Help?”
She opens her eyes to a dark room, cuddled from behind by what seems to be a human furnace, but could just be her husband. The dawn is breaking outside, and Charlie can hear a bird here and there. Large hands rub her stomach and puffs of air meet her neck. Tom’s apparently so weak, he can’t even keep her in his arms as she turns around to face him.
Red cheeks, swollen eyes, red nose and dry lips. Yup, that’s the flu.
“How are you?” she asks, trailing a fingertip down Tom’s nose.
“Barely alive.”
Ah. So sometime during the night they’ve reached the next stage. Miserable Tom, who’s most certainly the closest to death any person has ever been without actually dying – probably, since the next 24 hours will be crucial.
“But still alive, that’s good,” she grins.
If I die, I’m haunting you first.”
Charlie snickers, then attempts a shocked face. It’s not working and to be honest Tom couldn’t see it anyway, lying there in misery, eyes closed. “What have I done?”
“You’re mocking me. And you’re not doing anything to make me feel better and save me. You’ll regret this in one or two hours, when you’ll find me dead in our bed.”
“But you’re not really sick. You’ve told me so yesterday.”
“The situation has changed. It seems like this is a horrible flu, Charlie. It requires a broth, pain medicine and cuddles.”
Okay. She was wrong. He does have that low, sexy, bedroom-voice. Damn him, even sick he’s a sight for sore eyes and a heavenly voice to hear. She should also not be aroused by that.
“I don’t know, Tom. Maybe I should get the children and flee from this horrible illness of yours. Everyone fights for themselves, right?”
The answer is a whine and then a little tug on her sleeping shirt, right by her thigh. “Stop mocking me. I’m seriously ill. Don’t let those be the last words to me, and make me feel better.”
“Please?”
“Please.”
Charlie lives for that small smile around Tom’s lips as she moves a little closer and then rubs his shoulders softly , before she pushes some of his hair out of his face.
“Well, you asked so nicely.”
“I did,” her murmurs, sounding half asleep again.
“Tea and toast then?”
“An’ pills. ‘n cuddles.”
With a kiss on his nose, she moves out of the bed. “Coming right up.”
“Hm. Love you.”
She smiles. God, this man. “Love you too.”

The One Who Stayed CH10
Maya wakes up in a room, she was sure it was not hers. She recognizes the Spurs jersey on her, his smell was in all that room, and she wasn't able to suppress her smile - Why now - she recriminates herself while she inhales his scent from the pillow. Unlike the last time, last night he spends the night with her.
She gets up and walks to the kitchen, she found a note over a paper bag "Welcome back to the land of the living" she reads next to a poorly drawn cowboy hat, she chuckles to his sketch. She opens the paper bag and found 3 French Cruller inside - Dammit Lucas - she says while she bites one of the pastries her best friend left for her with a smile on her face.
7 hours later, Lucas walks into his apartment, dragged by the smell of pizza - I know I should be surprised, but at least you paid for pizza - he says while he looks at Maya and 2 empty boxes of pizza.
- Want something to eat honey? - Maya asks in her most sarcastic tone while she watches cars 2.
- Please tell me at least you take a shower - Lucas replies while he takes off his jacket - Want Chinese? - he asks while he picks his phone and dials his usual Chinese delivery.
- You know, a normal person would kick me out after all the time I spend here - Maya says while she mutes the movie.
- I'm not a normal person, yes, hello, yes, yes, ok, I want 1 order of fried rice - Lucas says to his phone, then cover it for a second with his shirt - You want something or what? - he asks Maya.
- Sweet and sour chicken - Mara replies.
- Yes, also 1 order of sweet and sour chicken, yes, look for Lucas Friar, yes, that's the address, ok, thank you - Lucas says before finish the call - I don't want to sound rude, but how you can be that thin when you eat like a pro wrestler? - he asks while he walks to his couch and sits next to Maya.
- Because I ride a bike everywhere unless I have to wear a nice dress - Maya answers and then punch him in the shoulder - And yes, it's rude - she adds, making him laugh a bit.
Until she asks what Lucas wanted to avoid.
- By the way, where's Zay? - Maya asks while she continues watching Cars 2 - I haven't seen him all day, and I'm happy, even when my head hated me for all that scotch - she says, feeling a bit weird when she notices how serious Lucas was.
- Yeah, he's not gonna be around here for some time - Lucas says trying to focus on Mater shooting to the lemon cars.
- Want to talk about that? - Maya asks while she continues looking at him, trying to figure it out what happened from his facial expressions.
- Not before my fried rice - Lucas replies, making Maya smile and cuddle with him.
After 25 minutes, they both hear the knock on Lucas door.
He just looks at the door and caresses her hair - I'm so comfortable here that I don't even want to get my fried rice - Lucas says without any filter.
- Too bad I still want my sweet and sour chicken - Maya replies pushing him out of the couch.
Lucas gets up before ending in the floor, he stretches a little and let a long yawn escape his mouth. He opens his door and receives the paper bags with their food - Thank you - Lucas says and let another yawn escape - Sorry - he apologizes and pays the delivery guy. He walks back to the couch and sits back - Sweet and sour chicken for the Blonde Beauty - he starts, giving Maya her order in exchange for a soft "thank you" - And fried rice for the Mad Dog - he adds making Maya burst in laughter.
- Hey Mad Dog - Maya calls Lucas, the one who says a very soft "yes" - What did he do? - she asks while Lucas looks at her confused.
- Who is he? - Lucas asks back, eating some of his fried rice.
- Zay - Maya replies, making him spit a bit of his rice - Gross - she adds while she passes him a napkin.
- Give me a break - Lucas says and continues eating his rice under the sharp view of Maya - Can at least finish my dinner? - he asks, tired from his work.
- No, tell me - she says with her curiosity at peak.
- For fuck's sake - Lucas says and pull up his phone, then show her the pictures Mark send him this morning.
- The fuck - Maya says while she looks at Charlie and Riley in a series of pictures.
- He found out Riley was cheating on me on the year and a half ago - Lucas explains leaving his rice on his coffee table.
- Damn - Maya says almost regretting forcing him to bring up that subject - So, what you did? - she asks, hoping for the best.
- Well, I start by hitting him - Lucas confess.
- Lucas what the fuck - Maya recriminates him.
- Then I send him to my mother's apartment - Lucas adds while he covers his face with his palms.
- You need to patch things with him, he's your best friend - Maya tries to defend Zay.
- Please, don't - Lucas says to Maya in a begging tone - Also you're my best friend, and I want to spend a nice time watching the rest of Cars 2 with my best friend having Chinese food while I try to not think about how much I miss Lily, can I please have that tonight? - he asks making Maya get close to him and hug him.
- I'm sorry - she says and kisses his cheek, trying to comfort him - Want to cuddle naked and drink wine? - she offers.
Lucas just laughs uncontrollably for 5 minutes - Jesus Christ, I should have done something great in my past life to have you in my life now - he says and caresses her check.
- Is that a yes? - Maya asks, almost fearing to hear him say yes.
- What? No, I mean, I would love to - Lucas says while he allows himself to look at his best friend with some lust in his eyes - But that might end in sex, because you know, we're both hot, and you look especially hot with my jersey on - he adds giving her another lusty look.
But, unlike the other times when they joke about having sex, Maya can't prevent blush on her face - Then we should stay cuddling here, full clothes, while we watch Cars 2 then - she replies while she focuses on the TV again.
Lucas wakes up next morning to the guitar chords of Trace Adkins, he softly pats next to him and surprises hit him when he felt nothing but a warm fade. He scratches his head and yawn - I thought I would be dead, but the day finally came, Maya wakes up earlier than me - he says and laughs at the think of Maya waking up before him, he gets up and walks to his living room, hoping to find her there, but he discovers he was completely alone.

When Cory Matthews walks into his classroom and discovers that all of his sophomores playing with ping-pong balls, only because he took 5 minutes cleaning the cappuccino he drops on his tie, he felt a certain Deja-vu.
- I'm getting too old for this, detention, all of you, all - He says while he points to a certain blonde girl who was next to a brunette.
- You can't give me detention, I'm 29 - Cory hears at his back, making him fastly turn, only to discover Maya, sitting on his chair, with her boots on his desk, playing with a ping-pong ball and a little racket against the wall.
- You - Cory says with a fake disdain tone.
- Me - Maya imitates his first fatherly figure.
- You don't have detention; I know she's the culprit - Cory says to his class.
- Hey! - Maya says with a recriminatory tone.
- Ladies and Gentleman, Miss Maya Hunter - Cory introduce her to his class.
After a few hours of Maya helping Cory with History of Art and why the Nazis rob every museum they can, Cory's class was dismissed.
- So, there must be a reason for you to be here - Cory says while he sits on his chair and Maya sits on the desk that used to be hers.
- There is a reason for me to be here, but - Maya says and then take a little pause - I like this place, remembers me when life used to be easy - she adds, making Cory laugh - What? - she asks him.
- Maybe for you - Cory replies - I had to deal with the whole triangle thing, with Riley stepping aside for Lucaya, then you stepping aside for Rucas, to be honest, I'm surprised Smarkle are still together - he explains to his former student.
- And look at us now - Maya comments.
- And look at us now - Cory agrees with her.
- I think Riley hate me now - Maya expresses her concern.
- Of course, she hates you fierce - Cory says while he gives Maya a sad smile - She thinks you're stealing Lucas from her - he adds, making Maya blurt a tired giggle.
- Yeah, because Lucas wanting a divorce it's my fault - Maya says with her words filled with sarcasm - Also, it's not my fault he thinks I'm a better friend than her - she adds, making Cory get worried a bit.
- I'm guessing he told her that - Cory says trying to not feel bad for his daughter, but he knows she brings all that is happening to her, over her.
- Actually, he hasn't told her this, he told me and Zay - Maya confess, trying to avoid remember what Lucas show her last night.
- That must be hard for him - Cory says with a short giggle - I mean, I still remember what happened when he picked Farkle as Godfather of Lily - he remembers, then notices Maya wasn't giving him any attention.
- I need you to take Lily and Topanga from your apartment - Maya says cutting her former teacher.
- Usually, I would do it, but just out of curiosity, why? - Cory asks Maya.
She just gives him a nervous smile - Riley and I need to talk and get drunk, I don't want Lily to see his mother drunk - Maya explains.
- You're lying - Cory says and gets up, picking up his briefcase - I'm not gonna ask more, and I hope it's not what I'm thinking - he adds. Cory fastly look in his pockets till he finds his keys - Please, try to not break anything, I'm old and I don't deserve to pick up things from the floor - he adds and throws her his keys.
Maya fastly grabs them and give him a sarcastic smile - Can't promise that - she replies while she walks out his class.
20:35 mark the clock when Riley felt her high hopes feel into the ground.
- When my father told me someone special was waiting for me at home, I didn't expect this - the brunette asks, trying not to spit her words to her.
- Thank you - Maya replies with sarcasm - We need to talk - she adds while she walks to the couch with a piece of pizza on a plate - Also I bring tequila so we can talk from the heart - she says pointing at the coffee table.
Riley just look at the woman who she used to think it was her best friend, and she was inches away to run again to her parents on Shawn's cabin, but the smell of pizza makes her stay - About? - she asks.
- About us - Maya replies giving Riley her plate - Also, this - she adds and throws at the brunette the DVD of 27 dresses.
And for a second, Riley thought about it.
2 girls, with pizza, no kids, no parents, no males, tequila, and 27 dresses.
- Ok - Riley says with doubt, walking to her room. a few minutes later, she came back with a simple pajama and her movie blanket - Ok, ready - she says, making Maya smile.
Maya walks back and grabs a piece of pizza for herself, also she brings 2 tequila shot glasses - Ready? - she asks.
- For 27 dresses? always - Riley replies with a smile.
While for herself though, that maybe, just maybe, she's been misunderstanding Maya, and she still is her best friend.
After all, there is no way Maya likes Lucas, at least not enough for her to help him get a divorce.
After 1 hour and 51 minutes, of pure bliss, on Riley's words, they were talking friendly as ever, and almost like the weather knew Maya's intentions, gives both girls a nice rain to solve their differences.
- You wanted to talk about us - Riley starts without looking at Maya.
- I do - Maya replies while she caresses the ring she gave her.
- Are you sure you wanted to talk about us and not about someone else? - Riley asks, making the right question.
- I'm pretty sure I want to talk about us - Maya says while she finally looks at her, taking a little pause - He - Maya says with doubt - He doesn't know I'm here - Maya adds.
- You're on his side, don't you? - Riley asks her. But just as a formality.
- What you did is not a matter of sides, it's a matter of good and wrong - Maya defends herself - And you did wrong - she declares.
- It's not that simple Maya - Riley tries to defend herself - You don't know how it feels being married to the great Lucas Friar - she adds.
- Out of nowhere - Maya calls her attention - Did you try, I don't know, talk to him? - she asks.
- Of course, I tried, but that only makes him more perfect, he left hours on his clinic, and allow me to focus on my career while he takes care of Lily, and even when he did what I ask him, I end hating it - she confesses, making Maya felt guilty about what she wanted to do.
- Then you should have talked to him again, that's what a mature person would do - Maya replies.
- I don't want to hear that from someone who only works 3 days per month - Riley attacks her best friend. Maya gets up and Riley looked worried - Maya? - she asks while Maya opens Uber.
- Then you're gonna hate hear this from me - Maya says to Riley looking at her.
Riley notices how Maya is containing her tears and felt a void on her stomach - Maya? - Riley calls her again.
- I'm going for Lucas! - Maya finally explodes and scream at her best friend.
- Excuse me? - Riley asks in shock.
- I'm going for Lucas - Maya says a bit more calm.
- No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO! - Riley screams at Maya feeling betrayed.
- I'm sorry Riley, but I've made my decision - Maya says getting up and grabbing her purse - I would love if you decide to not hate me, but I know you do, I'm sorry, but I'm tired - she adds and throws Cory's keys into the couch, next to the brunette.
Maya walk out The Matthews apartment, hearing what she supposed to be the bottle of tequila crashing against the door.

Lucas looks at his watch, 22:56, he reads, then he turns off his TV. For the first time in 4 days he was completely alone, and even when he a bit excited for finally having time for himself, he discovers that he's terrified of being alone.
Being alone wasn't for him, he needed someone on his side, and now that he and Zay weren't on the best terms, he starts to miss his company.
Then he thinks about Maya.
- What I supposed to do with you - Lucas softly says looking at his phone, debating himself if it's right to call her or not.
But then, he notices his headphones, and then back at his phone again, and then back at his headphones. He looks at his wall calendar, he did the math and was surprised for the 8 months and a few days of celibate he did.
He looks around, even when he was pretty sure he was alone, he grabbed his phone and look for Pornhub, he grabs his headphones and connects them to his phone. Then he looks around again, he fastly types "blondes" on the search bar. He felt the excitement on the air, and even when he was just pulling down his pants, he already was hard. he picks the first video, and just mere seconds later.
He was interrupted by the door - Motherfuckers, I can't catch a break - he says before abort what he wanted to do. He pulls up his pants and walks to the door.
Surprised was the first adjective a person would use when he discovers the person knocking on his door was Maya, a soaked by rain version of her.
- Hey Mad Dog - Maya says getting inside with a strawberry smoothie on her hand - Looks like you're happy to see me - she adds while she notices the bulge on his pajama pants.
- Maya what the hell - Lucas says worried, running to his bathroom to bring her some towels.
- I was thinking about you, and then I notice that, since you punch Zay, Smackle and Farkle are on Houston and Mark is probably with Joshua, you would be all lonely here - she replies with a smile.
- Maya, you're soaked, probably incredible cold and smiling - Lucas says while he does his best to dry her hair - Also, what the thing with the smoothie? - he asks, making her smile.
- Oh, this? - Maya says, faking ignorance - This is for you - she adds with a smile.
- Maya - Lucas calls her while he makes some space between them - Why are you smiling? - he dares to ask.
- Oh Huckleberry, Huckleberry, whatever bad, bad things you did in the past, you're still a Huckleberry - Maya says pouring the smoothie over his head.
- Maya, what the fuck - Lucas says feeling the cold smoothie runs through his back.
- Well, I thought that we should go on a date, and since we're both adults, I skip the date and pour the smoothie over you - Maya explains. Lucas looked at her like she was crazy and she just takes off her jacket and her top, revealing her breast to him.
- Are you serious right now? - Lucas asks looking away from her.
- The way I see it, you need a shower because of the smoothie - Maya says and walks to his bathroom really slow, losing clothes on the way - And I need a shower because of pneumonia, I suggest we share it - she proposes biting her lower lip, making Lucas take a long breath.
When Maya disappear into his bathroom, Lucas had a moment to think. He would be the worst liar if he dares to say that he didn't find Maya attractive and that in more than one time, he pleases himself alone thinking of her best friend, but this was completely different, this was not a fantasy, this was the reality.
Lucas takes off his shirt and cleans his hair from the smoothie Maya just drop over him, he takes off his pants and uses them to clean the rest of his body and the floor. He put his clothes on a basket and walk to his room. In the fastest way possible, he gets dressed, he picks his keys and his phone, and even when this might crush his relationship with Maya, he walks away from his own apartment.

Stuck in the middle (with you)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Charlie asks you to help her become a hunter, without telling to the Winchester. But something goes wrong.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader, Charlie Bradbury, Sam Winchester
Word Count: 3498 (..ops)
Warnings: Angst, Fluff, a little smut in the end
Feedback is always appreciated.
“Hey Y/n, would you like to accompany me to the car?”
“Sure. I’ll be back.” I say to Dean, after giving him a kiss on the cheek. I spent a fantastic week with Charlie, who has been sleeping in the bunker. She is crazy: we gossiped about this and that, we watched TV series on Netflix, and we have ‘played’ with the PC. Still, I can’t believe that she and I have hacked NASA. NASA, you understand?
Dean and Sam, meanwhile, had found a case in Maine, a nest of vampires, and so they went hunting, leaving me and Charlie to the bunker. Also, I’d wanted to go, but Charlie is not a hunter, and she could get hurt.
Charlie and I we get closer and closer to the car, she looks nervous. She continues to watch his back, observing if there is someone behind us.
“Charlie, are you okay?”
Giving a last look behind her, Charlie pulls a sigh of relief, and then looks at me.
“Y/n, I have to ask you something.”
“So, you make me worry. What is it?”
“I want to become a hunter.”
His words leave me speechless. I never thought that Charlie, the calm, nerd, and loving Charlie, would do such a thing.
“Charlie...”
“I know. It’s difficult and dangerous. But... to see Sam and Dean, and even you... You saved people, and I feel that I want to do it. My life has been difficult, and full of bad things. Hunting it can be a way to feel at peace with myself.”
I look at Charlie. Me, Sam and Dean are years now we hunt. The Winchester brothers since they were children, and I since I was fifteen. And for me Charlie is like a sister, and I don’t want to get into trouble.
“Please, Y/n.”
Ring!
A message.
I take the phone resting on the table, and turn on the screen. It is Charlie.
How do you kill a Wondigo?
I roll my eyes.
They hate the fire. And anyway, it’s Wendigo.
At the end Charlie was able to convince me to help her become a hunter. Sometimes she comes to the bunker with an apology, sometimes we meet in a few motels to teach her more; it seems almost a clandestine history. But Charlie made me promise not to say anything to Sam and Dean. I hate lying to them, but if they knew what makes Charlie, they would seek in every way to stop her. And so I help her, teach her some moves useful in combat, and I give her some weapon to kill.
We have also partnered together during some hunting; while Dean and Sam thought that we were going to go shopping, we we killed werewolves, witches or vampires.
“Hey, Y/n. Is something wrong?”
I put myself under the covers, and I turn to Dean; our noses brush against, and the hunter wraps his arms around my waist.
“Everything is alright.”
My lips collide with his lips, and in a few minutes, we find ourselves on top of each other, our clothes on the floor.
The next day, when I wake up, Dean is still asleep. So I get up, and I take a quick shower. When I come back in the room, I turn on the phone, and I realize that there is another message. Once again It’s Charlie.
Wondigo dead!
I look up to the sky, before continuing to read his message, I think to have found another case, and I think I’ll go see what it is!
Heck, it’s worse than us. She does not stop to kill a monster, that already finds another.
You shouldn’t rest a bit, Charlie?
I’ll rest when I’m dead.
“Good morning.”
I jump when I hear two arms wrap around my body; I was so taken by Charlie posts, I haven’t heard the Dean awakening.
“Good morning to you.”
I turn off the phone, and I approached Dean to me, putting my lips on his lips. The kiss continues a bit, Dean turns away from me, and he goes into the bathroom. While he takes a shower, I go into the kitchen to make coffee. Sam is already there, sitting in a chair with his PC. I smile: it reminds me of Charlie.
The coffee has already prepared Sam, and while I fill a cup, I feel my phone rang again.
Do you want to join me? ;)
“Hey Y/n, I think I’ve got a case.”
Shit.
I’m closer to Sam, who informs me of what he has found; meanwhile, Dean walks into the kitchen, and comes toward me.
I haven’t yet responded to Charlie, in fact, comes another message, but I pretend to nothing.
“Don’t you answer the phone?” Dean asks, intrigued. Her green eyes are watching me to see what I’m thinking. I can’t hide to him and Sam about Charlie. Not for much longer. I have to talk to her, and tell the truth to the guys.
Sam gets up, and after taking his PC, announces that it is preparing to leave.
“In ten minutes at the car?” says the younger of Winchester, looking first at his brother, and then me. Dean nods without saying another word, while I try to come up with an excuse not to go with them, so that I can have a chance to talk to Charlie.
“Um... I think this time I pass. I don’t feel very well.”
Dean comes to me, and looks at me worried.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. It’s those days of the month in which it is better to stay home and rest.”
The boys seem to fall for my lie, and after having left me a kiss on the cheek, Dean runs into his room to get ready. I take a deep breath. I hate all this; I feel so guilty about lying to Sam and Dean. He will not speak to me for weeks when he finds out what we do me and Charlie.
Sam and Dean have left the bunker to about half an hour, and as soon as I was left alone, I immediately called Charlie. After a few rings, she finally answered.
“Hey Y/n, you are already in the car?”
“Charlie, where are you?”
I hear noises on the other side of the phone, seem more slamming doors. Charlie breath further and further away, then I feel it again.
“Rosemont, Illinois.”
I roll my eyes; are about a ten hours drive from here, but I should do it to get there and back earlier than boys. I dress quickly, and after taking my bag, I go into my nice car, and I leave.
During the trip, my cell phone rings a few times. The first call is Charlie, and I warn her that in a few hours I would come to her motel. The second call is Dean. With a lump in my throat, I decide not to answer; I will send to him a message later, writing that I was sleeping.
Lies upon lies; They are always accumulating more.
We know what happens when we lie to each other: every time that Dean lied to Sam, and all the times that Sam lied to Dean, there have been serious consequences. And I’ve always reproached both, to be honest with each other. And now it’s me who is lying.
I stop the car in the motel parking lot, and I go back to Charlie’s room. She opens up to me after knocking a few times, and sling on me to hug me. I enter in the motel room, and I notice the weapons resting on the bed.
"You have robbed a gun shop?”
Charlie smiles, and moves the weapons out of bed; we sit both. She doesn’t give me the time to speak, that the girl speaks to me of the case that has found.
“I read about this creature who kidnaps children and then turn into them, to ‘eating’ their mothers. Wait, what was his name? Oh yeah, Changeling. And I have also read...”
“Charlie!”
I get up from the bed, and massage my temples; God, how much she speaks.
“Don’t think about the case. We have to tell Dean and Sam that what we are doing. This... lie, will lead to something bad. I don’t want to lie anymore. Dean begins to suspect something, I know.”
Charlie gets up and comes over to me; she places her hands on my shoulders, and tries to calm me down.
“I’ll talk to Sam and Dean. Very soon. I promise.”
The look in your eyes, and take a deep breath.
“So, what about the Changeling?”
Finding the Changeling and kill him wasn’t difficult. And Charlie seems to be getting better at hunting.
“And now what?”
I turn to Charlie, with open arms.
“Now we go back to the bunker. And when Sam and Dean come back, you will speak with them.”
“Yes, but first I have to put things right here. People will wonder why a child killed his mother, and then he died.”
I remain speechless. I try to stay calm, but I feel the anger pervade my body.
“Charlie..”
“Listen, Y/n. Sam and Dean will return home before... Two or three days? You go back to the bunker. I put things in place here, and I send a message to you when I’m coming.”
Charlie has cheated me. She remained in Rosemont, while I’m coming home. But I swear to god, if within two days she doesn’t bring his ass to the bunker and talk to the guys, I drag her to the sound of kicks up the bunker.
Tired because of the trip, I park the car out of the bunker, and I go back to the entrance door. I’m going in, and I notice that the lights are on.
Strange, I thought I had turned off everything.
I go down the stairs, and go into the library; suddenly, I hear noises coming from the kitchen. I pull out the gun, and I approach slowly to the door, but I lower the weapon immediately, as soon as I see who it is.
“Dean... what are you doing here?”
“Well, I live here. And you, instead? I thought you were not good. Where have you been?”
I’m staying breathless. And now what am I supposed to say? Still cover Charlie, and tell another lie? Or tell the truth, and give a damn about Charlie?
“You betray me?”
I look at Dean with a pained look and confused. God, he thinks that I attend to me with another.
“What-? No, Dean, I love you, and no one else. I could never betray you!”
“Then what’s wrong with you? Lately you’re always away with the head down on the phone. You say you don’t want to come with me and Sam to hunt because you aren’t well, and instead... I’m going home, and you’re not here!”
Dean approaches menacingly at me, and I step back, up to slam his back against the wall.
“I’m asking you again. Are you dating someone else?”
Before answering Dean, the phone rings. I close my eyes, and I look away from the hunter’s face. I try to take it from his trouser pocket, but Dean is faster than me, and it pulls me out of my hands.
“Dean, give me the phone.”
Dean looks at the screen light, and after reading the name of the person calling me, moving his eyes back on me.
“It can wait.”
“Dean, who is it?”
“Charlie. But I think that your gossip will fade into the background.”
I’m closer to Dean, and I try to get my cell phone out of his hand.
“Shit, Y/n! Don’t you see I’m trying to make a serious discussion with you!”
“No, Dean! It’s you who don’t understand! Give me that fucking phone!”
Dean’s eyes meet mine. He is angry, disappointed... frustrated by my behavior. He puts violently my phone on the kitchen counter, and leaves the room. I scream his name, but it’s useless.
“Shit!”
I take the phone off the counter and answer quickly.
“Charlie, get your ass here. Now!”
“Y/n, I think I was wrong. There are others Changeling. Please, I need your help.”
I walk into my room and Dean, but when I come in, he is not there. I scream his name, but in the bunker there is only silence. I go to the garage, and I realize that the Impala is not there.
Good.
Since there is Dean, I press on toward the Sam room, but even that is empty. There is only a note on his bed.
I went to run.
Fantastic.
This means that I am alone. I come in quickly in the car, and I depart right away for Rosemont.
Meanwhile, I call Dean.
A ring. Two rings. Three rings. No answer.
I try to call for most of the trip, but it is useless.
Dean stupid! Charlie stupid! Stupid me!
After ten hours to drive, before entering again in the motel room of Charlie, I still call once Dean. No answer, and so I leave a message.
“Dean, please. I know you’re angry, and I’ll explain everything. But now I need you. Call me.”
I enter into Charlie’s room, and she’s there, and she’s preparing weapons. She turns to me, worried.
“Hey, Y/n. We have a huge problem.”
“No, Charlie. I have a huge problem. Dean knows that I hide something, and he thinks I’m betraying him!”
Charlie sighs, and looks at me sad.
“I’m sorry Y/n, it’s all my fault. I will speak with Dean.”
“I want you to speak with him now.”
“I can’t! There’s another of those things out there, and I think he has...”
Charlie doesn’t finish the sentence; someone breaks down the door, and comes into the room. He’s a man, very strong, he can push me away when I try to attack him.
I fall to the ground, and I hear a crack!
I can’t move my shoulder, but I try anyway to get up from the ground. The man goes to Charlie, who shoot. The man doesn’t seem to get hurt, and then continues to move closer to Charlie.
Suddenly I see under the bed a blowtorch; I take it, and I get up.
“Charlie, mirror!”
She looks around, and notice a small mirror on the nightstand. Charlie takes it and turns it to the man, who suddenly changes. Now he has his real look, the look of a Changeling.
I raise a blowtorch toward him, but the monster can take it off, and he causes me a deep wound in the shoulder.
The Changeling comes to me, and when it is about to attack, he starts screaming. Behind him is Charlie, who has managed to take a blowtorch. The monster catches on fire, and I watch him, as long as he does not fall to the ground, completely charred.
Charlie runs toward me, and she controls my shoulder.
“This is a deep cut. Do you need a doctor.”
I nod, and we go to the car. We put about fifteen minutes to get to the hospital. A doctor comes quickly toward me, and makes me sit on a lounger. While he controls my shoulder, Charlie walks away, and she comes back after a few minutes.
“The shoulder is dislocated. Now, I put in place, and then I sew the wound, okay?” asks me the doctor. I nod, and I prepare myself to the pain that will cause me to readjust the shoulder. The doctor pressed, and I feel another crack.
I yell in pain, which fortunately immediately passing. The doctor takes the necessary to stitch the wound, and gets to work.
“You are fine?” I ask to Charlie, who remained all the time in silence.
“I’m fine.”
She looks worried, and sad. She probably feels guilty for what happened.
“Charlie, it’s not your fault.”
“It’s my fault. Y/n, I was so stupid. I’m sorry.”
I try to say something, but the doctor’s voice that tells me to have finished, let me speechless.
“Stay here and rest a little, okay? You can go away in a few hours.”
I feel my head explode, due to the blow that I took when I fell. I massage with the fingertips my temples, but suddenly I hear the door of the room where the doctor left me gaping. I turn around, and I see Dean, quickly go in, and shut the door behind them.
“Oh great, look who shows up.”
I lower my head to avoid Dean’s eyes, and I continue to massage my head.
“Are you okay?” asks me Dean, a few feet from me.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Spend a few seconds in silence, then Dean sighs.
“You lied to me.”
“Yeah...”
My head explodes, and I have neither the strength nor the courage to fight with him. I just want him to hold me.
“Look at me.”
The husky voice of Dean makes me realize that he instead all want to quarrel. I raise my head, and finally look at him in the eye. He is angry, confused, and at the same time also worried. I feel tears in my eyes, as I begin to speak.
“I lied to you all right? And I’m sorry. But I have called you several times and you didn’t answer me.”
I feel the tears fall on the face, and I quickly wiped with the hand.
“Why am I crying?”
Dean approaches me, and he hugs me.
“I’m sorry if I didn’t answer your calls. I was... angry. Now Charlie explained everything to me.”
The bedroom door opens, and enter Sam and Charlie. I clean my face, and I smile at Sam.
“Y/n! Are you ok?” asks Sam coming towards me. He wraps his long arms around me. I groan with pain in the shoulder, and he turns away from me immediately apologizing.
Dean took my jacket from the couch, and rests on my shoulders.
“Let’s go home.”
It’s been a few days since our return to the bunker. Charlie remained here, finally telling the whole truth to Dean and Sam, and talking with them about his adventures. Obviously the Winchesters have asked her to stop, and not to hunt anymore, but she refused. Now she is departing, and after I’ve made sure that everything necessary, I embrace her.
“Be careful, okay? And call me if you need it.”
“I’ll do it.”
I’m going back into the bunker, and I go straight to the room. I think I’ll sleep for at least a month. I open the door, and I see Dean stretched out on the bed, with his eyes closed. I approach silently, and I lay down beside him.
“You are awful when you’re trying not to make noise.” Dean says, opening his eyes. I smile; between me and Dean it seems that things are back to normal. After a good scolding, of course.
Suddenly, I get up from the bed, and sit astride on Dean; his arms are on my hips, and after I approached his face, my lips attacked his. I bite his bottom lip, make him groan.
In an instant, the positions are reversed, and Dean is on me. I feel his hard cock touch my groin, and this drives me crazy. Dean leaves a trail of kisses to the collarbone, and tortures me with kisses, and bites, marking my body.
“You know...” Dean says, while his hand slips between my breasts, and then on my stomach, up to my pants, “...I am still a little angry with you, for lying to me.”
His hand slips into my panties, and then his finger is on my clit. I moan, and arch my back, the sudden pleasure.
“You’ve been bad, and then you deserve a punishment.”
Suddenly, Dean’s hand comes out of my pants, and his body moves away from mine. Breathless, I support on the elbows, and Dean looks around the room.
“This is your punishment: no sex for a week…”
I start to laugh; this would be his punishment?
“It looks more like a punishment for you, that for me.” I say getting out of bed, and going up to him.
Dean sighs, and remains speechless when I draw to myself, pulling him by the shirt. I lick my lips, seeing him in the eyes.
“You’re sure he could resist me for a week, Dean?”
“Oh, sweetheart... we bet?
I smile again, and I approach the door. I open it, and before leaving, I back to Dean’s face.
"Too bad you can’t touch me; it will mean that I will have fun by myself.”
Dean turns amazed at me, but I don’t give him time to say anything else, I close the door behind me. Way to the bunker, and I begin to count.
Three... Two... One...
“Y/n, wait!”
