I think at at least one point in Allies, Taalon uses the word "hundreds" to refer to the number of Sith aboard the eleven ChaseMaster frigates in his fleet. If that is to be taken literally, then it would seem to imply that a ChaseMaster can be fully operated with a crew of less than a hundred, as I guessed. Depending on how big these things are, that could be a level of crew-efficiency that would be seriously attractive to a military like this, which only has the manpower of one planet's trained Force-users.

Does anyone else get the impression that Allston!Luke in Conviction is noticeably more willing to believe that Vestara can redeem herself than Golden!Luke ever is?

According the opening of Vortex: A Damorian S18 light freighter is about half the mass of a ChaseMaster frigate. A BDY crew skiff is about twenty meters long, able to carry at least twenty-four humanoids, and the word "blocky" is used, which is a clue about the relationship of length to volume. A Damorian S18 can carry six BDY crew skiffs.

Obviously the hangar volume of an S18 does not directly relate to its mass, but if it's a freighter I think it's safe to assume that it's at least half the ship's overall internal volume.

We can derive from these points a very vague estimate of the size of the ChaseMaster, and I stand by my earlier conclusion that it can't have more internal volume than a Carrack, reactor output probably low to mid e22-watt range. So "patrol frigate" would be a good way to describe this kind of thing.

So the Sith boarding crews in that scene could sense Jaina when she uses the Force to launch a shadow bomb. Is that just because she announced her presence beforehand? I think it would have to be. Like, the frigate crews over Nam Chorios don't sense jack shit from an entire wing of StealthXs when they launch shadow bombs.

Jaina took a StealthX with no laser cannons, four shadow bombs, and only three functional engines, and drove off a six-ship Sith boarding party. She's so badass. I love her so much.

The report Jaina gives the Council in Vortex... if even half of the disappearances that aren't confirmed but fit the pattern are indeed Lost Tribe piracy, their fleet could be an order of magnitude larger than what we actually see.

If the ChaseMasters are particularly crew-efficient - meaning in large part that a lot of jobs that could otherwise go to living crewmembers are instead relegated to automated systems - that mouse droid impostor trick would make a lot of sense.
