Does Sonic have any health issues from all his battles with Eggman? If not, do you think he’ll develop any from that when he’s older?

Because he’s been hurt badly a dozen times that I can think of, and he’s still standing.

"After his check up I can safely say that he's completely fine and he should be fine for a long while," Chelydri said confidently.

Tails sighed in relief, "That's good to hear. I suspected as much but it's good to hear from a professional."

"It's because he is what we in the medical field call a freak of nature," Jerry said.

"HEY!" Tails yelled.

"That's not the proper term, Jerry," Chelydri admonished.

Folding his arms at them, Jerry said, "Then what is the proper term?"

Chelydri opened their mouth and then closed it. Putting a finger to their chin they squinted into the middle distance before finally relenting, "Okay there isn't a proper term so I guess that'll have to do until we figure out something more scientific and less rude."

Tails couldn't believe this, "Are you serious?"

Putting a genial arm around the fox, Jerry said, "Come on kid you have to know by now that sometimes scientific progress can be goofy as hell."

*Restoration Infirmary*

Chelydri, standing over Tangle’s hospital bed: Tangle, this is becoming a weekly thing. If you make me pump your stomach a fourth time, I'm actually just gonna let you die.

Tangle: Fair.

Sang-mi and Chelydri bodyswap!

"This feels weird..." Sang-mi muttered.

She was quite used to towering over most people but this was different. She wasn't just tall but immense. She flexed an arm and gasped as her muscles flexed beneath the thick scales. Truth be told, hadn't she recently had the weird body swap experience with a certain mouse doctor she'd be freaking out by now but knowing that any such change was short lived made her curious more than anything.

Curious and a bit excited seeing how strong the body she was currently inhabiting was.

She trudged towards a nearby sofa and she lifted it above her head as if it weighed nothing. She couldn't help but giggle, or it would've been a giggle if she'd been in her own body. The body she was currently in let out a rumbling, menacing chuckle that scared her enough to drop the sofa on top of herself with a yelp.

Chelydri looked down at their chest only to find a pair of breasts staring back at them. A long, drawn out sigh left their borrowed lips and they felt a wave of discomfort fill their entire being.

"This is going to be rough..." the displaced turtle muttered as they tried to fight the incoming rush of dysphoria. The fact that Jerry had told them about his earlier body swap experience was the only thing keeping the doctor from just crawling up into a donut shape right there and then.

"Sang-mi? Are you alright?" came a familiar voice and Chelydri turned to see Director Jewel hovering just a few feet away. It was a curious thing, seeing their superior graced by passage of time. Older, wiser yet young and spry.

"Director Jewel!" they tensed up from pure reflex alone, back straighter than they'd ever manage with their own body before they realised that they had no idea what kind of relationship their boss had with their current body. One thing could be discerned from her confused expression however was that it clearly wasn't one of subordinate and employer.

"I mean-Jewel, it's good to see you!" they tried again but the look the director was giving them was making them sweat bullets. "I-is everything alright Di-Jewel?"

"You haven't referred to me by my title ever since we first met." Jewel said as she fluttered closer to the body of her future sister-in-law. "If he wasn't dead and buried I'd be worried that Mimic was back. Are you feeling alright?"

"Oh, uhm...yes, I'm just-" Chelydri tried before they felt the beetle's bare hand against their forehead while she leaned in close.

"Are you quite sure? You seem to be running a bit hot. Are you feeling feverish?"

None of that registered in Chelydri's borderline panicked mind.

Their boss wasn't just way too close but her uncovered hand was touching their forehead and moving down to their cheeks. Too much, too close, too intimate!

"Sang-mi? Are you-" Jewel tried only for the tenrec in front of her to let out a scared yelp before bolting out of the room.

I asked about Sonic’s health, but what about Silver? He grew up in a world of hellfire, violence and random encounters with explosion.

His lungs and hearing must be fucked six ways from Sunday.

"Yeah the poor guy has some scarring on his lungs and he'll more than likely be needing a hearing aid when he gets older," Chelydri said sadly.

Jerry nodded and added, "He also has a vitamin deficiency. Amy once told me that she saw him completely destroy a basket of oranges and lie down in the sun until it went down."

Folding their arms in thought, Chelydri said, "You'd think whenever the future would go back to being good his body would reset with him."

"Is that how it works?" Jerry asked

They shrugged in response, "No idea, I'm not that kind of doctor."

Jerry snorted, "Probably for the best it doesn't work like that because if the future suddenly turns bad he just gets instant scurvy or something. "

Looking both ways, she whisper shouted, "Thank you!" Surge grabbed the plush and ran towards her room. Halfway there though she ran into a wall that she knew wasn't supposed to be there. Gazing up from her place on the floor she remembered that due to the terms of her probation she was now rooming with Chelydri. The wall of scales and muscles looked back down at her perplexed, "What's the hurry kiddo?"

Before she could even think of a response the doctor spotted the plush and it's distinctive color pattern in her hands. Smiling softly the old turtle pulled the tenrec to her and patted her head. Surge could only stand there red in the face as the doctor stomped past her. Only when she heard the distinctive sound of them settling into their recliner did she continue on to her bedroom to safely display (cuddle) the plush.

Quick question Chelydri: if Sonic’s the second fastest person you know, where’s Surge on the ranking?

Chelydri looked up in thought, "A while ago I would have confidently said third but after seeing the footage of her fighting Tangle and Whisper.....she got a hell of a lot faster. Sonic is still second but it's a close thing now."

"No need for the threats, buddy. I had a check up recently," Sonic grumbled, still irritated by the memory.

Sonic bursted into the infirmary, "I'm here Jewel! What's the emergency-"

"Sorry Sonic!" Jewel yelled while flying out the door.

Raising a questioning finger, Sonic was very confused. In front of him was the diminutive mouse, Doctor Jerry, wearing a smirk. Turning around Sonic saw the massive wall of scales and muscles that was Doctor Chelydri. The old snapping turtle had a look in their eyes that screamed, 'please don't be difficult.'

Turning back towards Jerry, Sonic asked, "What's going on here?"

"You see, we may have used your name in order to get Surge to do her check up. you know, a physical and blood test, all that stuff," Jerry began.

"But then it occurred to us that we lied to a patient," Chelydri said.

Jerry clasped his hands together, "So we decided to be retroactively telling the truth. But then I hypothesized that you might have a fear of going to the doctor, seeing how you didn't come to us the last time you got injured."

Chelydri jabbed a thumb towards the doors, "So we convinced Jewel to tell you that there was an emergency going on at the infirmary and your help was needed."

"And now you're here. So tell me, was my hypothesis correct?" Jerry asked with a shit eating grin.

Sonic swiftly made his escape, or he would have, had a large scaly hand hadnt shot out and grabbed him. "Looks like you're hypothesis was correct," Chelydri said dryly, holding Sonic with one hand wrapped around his midsection.

Doing a triple take, Sonic was having trouble accepting that he was caught, "Woahwoahwoah hold on how'd you catch me?"

Chelydri gave an enigmatic grin, "You're fast, kid. But you're still only the second fastest person I've met."

This rankled at Sonics ego, "Who?"

"No one you know," Chelydri said. If Sonic wasn't bristling as hard as he was he would have caught the odd tone in their voice.

"Well who are they," Sonic said impatiently.

"Cooperate with us here and maybe I'll tell you," Chelydri offered.

"Deal," Sonic said with zero hesitation. Chelydri put him down and he zipped over onto the examination table, his curiosity overcoming his anxiety of doctors appointments.

"All right let's get started," Jerry said.

The tests went on without a hitch and Sonic privately admitted that he felt a little silly being as nervous as he was earlier.

The moment Jerry finished applying the bandage where his blood was drawn, Sonic hopped off the table and eagerly turned towards Chelydri, "So who were they? The person you said was faster than me?"

Looking him dead in the eye, Chelydri said, "I said I'd maybe tell you."

Sonic was gobsmacked by the audacity, "WHAT!?"

Jerry began cackling loudly, "HAHAHAHA Oh come on man this isn't the first time you've been bamboozled by a doctor! HAHAHAHA!"

His quills flaring up in embarrassed anger, Sonic left the infirmary at the speed of sound.

Sonic gave a heavy sigh, "I really don't have the best luck with doctors do I?"

Whisper, How would you feel if Someone decided to reunite you with your old, dead teammates? Did you ever consider trying to join the fallen diamond cutters?

Still in her hospital bed, Whisper looked down and said, "In my darkest moments I did consider it. The loneliness almost too much to bear." Turning your head to where Tangle slept soundly, she said with a smile "But I'm no longer alone now." Her smile turned vicious, "And neither are you."

A pair of massive hands clamp down on both your arms, pressing them to your body. Your feet leave the floor. Looking up you see the scaly dark green face of the individual formally known as Chelydri the Guillotine.

"Are you threatening my patient in my Infirmary?" The colossal doctor asked in barely restrained fury

"YES I'M TALL AGAI- AW FUCK MY BACK!" Jerry's celebration upon body swapping again with a tall person, his massive turtle coworker no less, was cut short by terrible back pain. "How do you live like this?!"

Looking up at him was Chelydri in Jerry's much smaller body, "Yeah it's not always that bad. That hit I took from Amy recently has been bothering me for a bit but it's getting better. Also I gotta say, this change in perspective is going a long way to explain why people are scared of me. Gaia Below I'm huge and terrifying looking!"

"How the hell did a cartoon hammer do this to your back?" Jerry said while wincing in pain.

Chelydri shrugged their tiny shoulders, "Beats me. Hey is it okay if I scamper about? I haven't felt this light since I was a little kid."

Jerry gave them a thumbs up, "Go nuts. We got about an hour before we switch back. I'm gonna go take a fistful of ibuprofen."

Chelydri ran out the door, eager to experience a freedom of movement they hadn't felt in decades while Jerry trudged off to find painkillers.

Lanolin - I grew up near a river so my parents forced me to get really good at swimming. So I guess an 8?

Tangle - 7 or 8 for me! I really should do it more often but it's such a pain to clean and dry my tail afterwards.

Whisper - I'd say a 7. I find swimming and floating in the water very calming..

Surge - 8! Unlike that loser Sonic, I'm actually great at swimming!

Kit - Are you serious?

Jewel - I guess 6? I enjoy getting in the water when it's my choice not someone else's.

Belle - Outside of that involuntary log ride that one time, I really haven't gone swimming before? Let's say 4 for now.

Grease - I'm a lazy river kinda guy. Let's go with 5.

Amy - Ugh I haven't gone to the beach in forever! I should get some of the girls to come with me- oh right the question. I'd say 7.

Sonic - …….Sodium.

Silver - ……Oh God when's the last time I swam?

Tails - It's kinda cheating but I use my tails like boat propellers. With my tails it's 10 but without its 4.

Knuckles - 10. It's like digging but in water.

Rouge - 9. After all, what kind of spy can't swim?

Shadow - 6. Another thing I need to improve on…..

Omega - THIS UNIT IS NOT WATERPROOF.

Clutch - 9. I got thrown overboard a few times in my younger days and had to learn quick.

Chelydri - 10! I was the best swimmer when I was in the- uh. Uuuuuuuuh nothing I was a part of nothing.

Jerry - HA! I'm a 3, just good enough not to drown immediately.

Chelydri shook their head, "Jerry can be an ass at times but by no means is he as sanctimonious narcissist."

This made Amy raise a skeptical brow "Are you sure about that? Because he seemed to be trying really hard to dodge responsibility over what happened to Tangle and Whisper."

Rolling their eyes Chelydri said, "There's a huge difference between dodging responsibility and just wanting a fair deal. He just likes having all the facts laid out. Even if it puts him in a worse position than he was before. He'll apologize the right way, I'm sure of it."

So, tangle, whisper. How are you feeling after that thrashing? Any Post Fight Notes, thoughts, opinions, concerns?

Tangle started, "Well for starters we- Whisper please stop counting your teeth. I promise you they got them all back in," Tangle said to her girlfriend who was lying down in the hospital bed beside her, finger in her mouth.

"Sorry it's just unbelievable they got them back in perfectly," Whisper said with an embarrassed blush.

Tangle nodded, "That is a big factor on this whole thing. I think I'd be a lot more cheesed off if we weren't recovering as well as we are. Modern medicine is amazing......" Tangle trailed off and looked up with a raised brow, "Hey, remember when we first learned about Annabelle, and how Chelydri mentioned how when Eggman first showed up he fixed a bunch of things? Do you think one of those things he helped with was-"

"Tangle I really don't want to think about how Eggman might be the reason we're both not in a coma," Whisper interrupted. "But back on topic, we clearly weren't prepared to fight a real speedster. I overheard that Jerry say that he thinks he knows why Surge got faster but he moved out of earshot before I could hear the rest."

"Speaking of Surge," Tangle sighed, "Girl has a lot of issues, like a LOT of issues it turns out. Issues we weren't even aware of. Issues that make me a little less mad about the whole thing."

"Which is infuriating in of itself," Whisper grumbled.

"Which part?" Tangle asked.

"Yes." Whisper said flatly.

Tangle looked at her strangely, "Ooookay, anyway the biggest thing we've learned is knowing when to make a tactical retreat!"

"Uuuuugh," Whisper groaned, already knowing what Tangle was talking about.

Tangle couldn't help but chuckle in embarrassment at the simple truth, "Ya see, we really could've ran away when we powered up with the wisps. Coulda just retreated until we found someone who could talk Surge down."

"I swear, is Sonic the only one who know when it's best to retreat?" Whisper wondered aloud.

Tangle laughed, "If its any comfort, we know Shadow doesn't."

Whisper smiled back, "it's.....a little comforting actually."
