Fellowship of Fans delivered today with them saying they had their biggest spoiler scoop so far this year for season 2 of "Rings of Power" and why they saved it for a Christmas gift!!! 😀 I'm a little late posting it since I was at my family's Christmas Eve dinner but I'm excited for this!!!
April 2024 Update: This spoiler has now been confirmed false and part of a plan from Amazon to catch a leaker from the crew.
Tumblr media
They finally revealed the new actor playing the "original version" of Sauron (possibly Mairon) and it's Gavi Singh Chera!!! 😀 He was announced earlier this year as part of the recurring actors they added to the show and there had been speculation for a while that he was another form of Sauron and likely the Adar knew. I can actually see it too, especially if you see clips of his other acting roles. I'm guessing he and Charlie Vickers have worked together too so we the audience will be able to tell it's him, plus thanks to Charlie's interviews we know the audience will know everything Sauron is up to in season 2.
Again Charlie's not going anywhere and he's still a series regular. We've also had a ton of spoilers about Halbrand and what he's doing in season 2. This is for the flashbacks and shapeshifting that will be happening especially with Sauron going back to Eregion as he can't go back as Halbrand so it's the Annatar storyline. That being said though FOF posted other scoops today that they're not sure which form is working with Celebrimbor and it's led to some speculating including me that maybe Annatar (or whatever name they use as FOF still doesn't know if they have the rights) switches back to Halbrand in front of Celebrimbor and that they work on the rings together.
They also said almost all the rings will be made this season. They're not sure which form distributes them but leaning towards Halbrand as they already got spoilers Halbrand is the one that recruits the men and dwarves so it would make sense that form gives them out. Still no word about the One Ring so not sure if that will happen in the season finale or if they'll save it for season 3.
So it's already getting a bit confusing for some fans online as we had to explain again about the shapeshifting and that Charlie's still there so to make things earlier I'll be saying when talking about them as Charlie's Halbrand and Gavi's Annatar, but they are both Sauron. LOL
Also, being a Haladriel shipper, that fits here too as FOF confirmed Gavi and Morfydd didn't have a chemistry test like Morfydd and Charlie did. So even though Gavi's Annatar has scenes with Galadriel I doubt I'll be shipping them but we'll see. So Haladriel for me is Charlie's Halbrand form and who I'm referring to for now. Also same with my fics as I always wrote Mairon looking like Halbrand. Again this could change if it turns out this form also has something with Galadriel too. LOL

It's Monday, October 5.
Hey y'all,
HOO BOY. This was a weekend and a half in the news department. There is a canonical Twitter post from the account @Horse_ebooks which reads, "Everything happens so much." Every few months, something insane happens and someone retweets it into my feed, but honestly, everything is happening so much at a rate we previously could not have conceived of. Full disclosure, I'm writing this at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday night, so if anything insane happens between me writing this and you reading it and I was not able to update this newsletter, sorry in advance. I usually wouldn't mention that, it's just that, well, everything is happening so much.

Trump Is Fine, Oh Wait He's Actually Not Fine, Anyways The White House Just Released a Picture of Him Signing a Blank Piece of Paper
On Friday at about one in the morning, President Donald Trump announced that he and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for coronavirus. In all likelihood, you know this already. It is the only thing that many people have been able to think about. It's the only thing I've been able to think about, save for the blissful period when the NBA finals have been on (if any of you know Jimmy Butler please tell him I believe they can beat the Lakers no matter how good LeBron James and Anthony Davis are). Much like when coronavirus first hit, it's very obvious that history is happening before our eyes, but there's no playbook for how you're supposed to feel about it all, let alone what you're supposed to actually do. Since Friday's newsletter hit your inbox, the following things occurred:
Donald Trump walked onto a helicopter which took him to Walter Reed hospital, waiting until the markets closed on Friday but leaving before there was a possibility that he might not be able to walk.
Later, it came out that he'd been running a 103 degree fever and was put on oxygen while still in the White House, and had been asking his aides if he was "going out like Stan Chera," a friend of his who'd gone into the hospital with COVID-19 and had never come out.
On Saturday, one of Trump's doctors at Walter Reed gave a press conference during which he evaded reporters' questions and said that the president was feeling so good he could leave the hospital right now if he wanted to. Then, moments later, a senior Trump advisor, reportedly Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, directly contradicted what the doctors had just said when he told reporters off-record that the president was "still not on a clear path to a full recovery."
Later, one of Trump's aides went on Fox News and implied that the president's doctors had lied to the press because Trump was watching them on TV from inside the hospital.
On Saturday, the White House released a video of Trump in the hospital saying he felt fine, as well as two photos of the president allegedly doing work. I say "allegedly" because in one of them, Trump is very clearly signing a blank piece of paper. Yesterday, Trump put out another video in which he said he "learned a lot about COVID," and then got in a car and waved to his supporters outside Walter Reed.
So how is Trump actually doing? Why has he been getting experimental coronavirus treatments in Walter Reed if he's doing so great? And who's in charge of the country right now? Those are all great questions, and no one inside Trump's orbit has given the world straight answers to any of them.
OH YEAH ALSO, it came out that a bunch of high-powered Republicans also have the coronavirus and that they all probably got it at a White House event honoring Trump's Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. Corona-havers in Trump's orbit include former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, Kellyanne Conway, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, and North Carolina's very own, Senator Thom Tillis.
Thom Tillis! Isn't He in a Tight Race with Cal Cunningham Right Now? What's Cal Cunningham Been Up to Lately, Anyways?
Hahaha jk, we all know what Cal Cunningham has been up to. Getting caught up in a sexting scandal is what he has been up to.
Literally hours after Tillis was all like "Hey what's up everybody I've got coronavirus" on Friday, a little-known conservative news site called National File published what it claimed were intimate text messages between Cal Cunningham and a woman who is not his wife.
Shortly after the news broke, Cunningham admitted he had sent the texts and issued a public apology.
But as our own Leigh Tauss put it, Cunningham "sexts like a dishtowel."
Questions worth asking: How did these texts leak? And how did they find their way into the hands of a reporter for some random conservative news site, and how did they manage to publish a story about all of this on the same night that Thom Tillis's coronavirus diagnosis was made public? No matter what the answers to those questions are, the North Carolina Democratic Party really needs to do a better job of vetting its candidates if they're going to force seemingly boring centrists on us.
While Cunningham seemed to be pulling slightly ahead of Tillis in the leadup to Election Day, the one-two punch of Tillis's diagnosis and Cunningham's infidelity has rendered the trajectory of this race truly unknowable.

MTB Accident Update 26: 1st photo. Room 11 of ward 1C, my new home in Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital when I was discharged after being in Putrajaya Hospital for 2+ weeks. Rehab started slowly & I was totally dependent on the staff nurses at first. All wounds recovered. Right arm weight bearing restriction was off. 2nd photo. After several weeks, we heard the news that a Malaysian patient from the UK was heading back & need to be quarantined in this hospital as she will be needing special care. The staff prepared zones in the ward, some patients were discharged & the rest were moved to another wing. It was a nervous 2 weeks wondering if there will be COVID-19 there. 3rd photo. Room 25 of ward 1C is my new place for 14 days due to the quarantine. Felt like I was the one being quarantined with limited space to go around but the good thing about the new room is it has a good green view. I was focusing much more on physio & occupational therapy during this period. It was the time I was accepting & adapting to a lot of things. It was very challenging. 4th photo. The quarantined patient was finally cleared of COVID-19 and allowed to go back home. Suddenly, we were instructed to move to another ward upstairs & move out from ward 1C as they are using all 3 wards at ground floor to accommodate increasing COVID-19 patients in Klang Valley. The staff worked hard for the preparation. I then started to stay in room 36 ward 2C. Nice view now blocked. 5th photo. Another news came in the next day that all patients in Cheras Rehab Hospital including me will need to be discharged soonest possible. MOH have decided that the whole hospital will be converted into a COVID-19 hospital. One by one patient went back home. I wonder where there will get their daily special needs & care now. Busses of COVID-19 patients came filling up the empty beds. COVID-19 is increasing and everywhere. Very challenging time for Malaysia. Wherever you are, please just stay home. We are all in this together. I still need to continue my rehab. My family have decided to take me somewhere else for the time being. I was discharged this morning and at the new place. Can you guess where am I now? Ash (at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHxRTxnBfJ6/?igshid=gyth0hycwbwg

My Beautiful Pantry
It was my first time given a task to decorate a place that I used to eat and bond with my fellow and it was challenging but rewarding experience because we need to spend the money below RM 150 to buy our decoration equipment.
As an International Baccalaureate student of Tunku Kurshiah College, I have learned to make out strategic planning as our goal is to beautify our own pantry room into an upgraded version based on our theme that we had decided which is clean and minimalistic. I realized that it is important to make a specific plan throughout the activity so that we had enough time, money, and energy in order to achieve our desired result. We have done our presentation based on our requirements to make the change in our pantry.
We had acknowledged that our destination to buy our equipment is at MyTown Cheras and we strike while the iron is hot to make some research about the shop provided in the shopping mall. This is significant to ensure that we make the best decision to buy our equipment in the shop that offers the best deal and we choose to shop at Daiso, and Mr. DIY.
A day before the trip to MyTown Cheras, we make segregation of duties. We were divided into two teams as we have two shops to discover. Our plan is to use as minimum time as we can to buy the needs in case one of us have the emergency to buy their basic need such as food and toiletries. I learned that we should care about others need and not to be selfish because everyone has their own errands.
As we enter the mall after approximately 33 minutes of journey, we realized that there is no Mr.DIY shop. We were dumbfounded in front of the directory board but try to think a way out from the difficulty. Without thinking any longer, we decided to shop at Kaison as the replacement for Mr. DIY because that is the only shop offers a reasonable price.
I went to Kaison at first place with Zulaikha, Najwa, and Maisarah and complete our to-buy list. At the same time, we updated ourselves about the second team progression by often calling them in order to compare the prices between the two shops, Kaison and Daiso. As we were divided into a small group, we had the difficulties in searching the items in the shop because the shop was gigantic and need a lot of members to find for each item. It teaches us to be more precise.
I also had to make some mistakes in finding things. I forgot to search conscientiously until I realized, I miss looking at a certain section in the shop while looking for the food cover. From what I have learned, we need to check twice everything that we have done. I realized that I also need the effort to check the website and depends on what others say only. This had changed me into a daring person to always try to do my best in everything.
There were also some of the items that we hope to buy were not provided in the shops but still trying to look for it at the different shop. The thing that we were hard to find is insect repellent spray. Since we have insects entering our pantry frequently, it was best to have the spray. Unfortunately, we failed to own one and decided to buy it with our own money in the future.
Our pantry before the decoration was looked clean and tidy but it looks plain since there is no other color other than white. Before this, our table is quite small for 8-seated. To overcome this matter, we had to change the arrangement of the furniture and add some more tables.  After discussion among us, we choose to make our pantry look aesthetic with the combination color of mint green and orange. We all agreed as it looks more welcoming.
Before the day of the judgment, we clean up the pantry area. Everyone was given a task such as sweeping, mopping, arranging, wiping and more. Everyone was dedicated to their job and it was held no longer than 30 minutes. As the result, the upgraded version satisfied all of us. We feel proud of ourselves because we make a great comeback to our pantry. Hard work pays off.

A real estate earnings call season for the ages
Clockwise from top left: Vornado’s Steven Roth, Newmark Knight Frank’s Barry Gosin, Redfin’s Glenn Kelman, SL Green’s Marc Holliday, Marriott’s Arne Sorenson, Zillow’s Richard Barton, Realogy’s Ryan Schneider, and Cushman’s Brett White
After the roadshow, there are few theatrical moments in the life of a publicly traded real estate company.
But four times a year, executives gear up to update analysts and investors on their earnings, a periodic glimpse into the inner workings of even the most buttoned-up owners, operators, lenders and brokerages.
Those scripted (and unscripted) remarks took on added meaning over the past few weeks as companies reported their first updates since the coronavirus struck. Real estate chiefs, like their peers across industries, delivered performances that were at times poetic, gloomy, blunt, optimistic and opportunistic.
Some were chomping at the bit. “Frankly, I have been dying to get on this call because I could not believe that anybody thought we were having a problem,” said Brian Harris, CEO of Ladder Capital, a frequent Trump lender and one of several mortgage REITs facing margin calls. Ladder’s core earnings fell 34 percent year-over-year to $30.9 million during the first quarter.
Vornado Realty Trust, which says it is losing $9 million a month due to the pandemic, opened its call with a moment of silence for lives lost — including Stanley Chera, the prominent retail developer and father of Haim Chera, Vornado’s head of retail.
CEO and chair Steven Roth described the pandemic as a “never-before situation” with life turned upside down, people and businesses hurting and an uncertain future. He called 2020 a “lost year, a tragic abyss.”
Cushman & Wakefield opened the call with a shout-out to its own employees taking care of essential facilities including New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which has been at the forefront of caring for coronavirus patients in New York City.
With so much uncertainty, many were reluctant to forecast too far into the future.
Cushman pulled its full-year revenue guidance, as did Marriott and Zillow. Equity Commonwealth was reluctant to say much at all about its pandemic strategy (or lack thereof).
“It’s our general view that we’re early in this,” CEO David Helfand said. “We’re sort of six weeks in and it’s still unfolding, and it’s still very difficult to predict what direction it’s going to go.”
During its call Tuesday, Macerich CEO Tom O’Hern said the first-quarter results “seem, frankly, not that relevant” in light of the pandemic. The mall landlord collected just 26 percent of rent nationwide.
Other leaders are putting on a scrappy front.
Starwood CEO Barry Sternlicht compared the pandemic to World War II, and said “we’re about halfway through.”
“It’s really ugly,” he acknowledged. “But obviously when it’s really ugly, it’s a good time to invest.” The REIT reported a net loss of $66.8 million, compared to net income of $70.4 million in 2019’s first quarter. Revenue was $312.6 million, up from $310.5 million.
SL Green Realty, New York’s largest office landlord, also opted for war metaphors. CEO Marc Holliday described his team as “commercial real estate sharpshooters,” poised for battle – aka the reopening of offices.
Until then, he said the company was making sure everyone remains connected and “zoomed-in like a sniper’s crosshair.”
Was the upbeat outlook a show for investors and analysts? To a certain degree, that’s what earnings calls are about.
Brokerage giant Realogy, which reported a $462 million loss during the first quarter, said transaction volume was down 20 to 25 percent.
“This is actually better than I thought it would be when the crisis began,” said the firm’s CEO Ryan Schneider. Zillow CEO Rich Barton said “we have passed peak fear.”
Vornado’s Roth acknowledged the REIT’s share price dropped more than $25 per share since the pandemic struck ( equating to a roughly $5 billion drop in value.) “I think this is a gross exaggeration,” he said.
Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman thanked overworked analysts for staying on the call longer. “We know how hard you’re going to be working tonight, so just bear that in mind when you put the buy rating on Redfin,” he joked. “I don’t mean that. Just call it like you see it.”
With nearly all of the executives calling in from home, things got personal.
Starwood president Jeffrey DiModica said he and others have been camped out at Sternlicht’s house — a sprawling mansion in Miami Beach.
During Zillow’s May 7 call, Barton, who has said his employees can work remotely for the rest of the year, lamented his lack of a home office.
“Right now I’m in my bedroom because I have three kids on Zoom school all over the house,” he said. He recalled that his father had a home office, though he himself never saw the need.
“Well,” he said, “I see the need now.”
Empire State Realty Trust — which is hosting trivia contests for staff and compiled “quarantine playlists” — momentarily deflected a question as execs scrambled to get the answer.
“We’re not trying to be cute here. We’re all of us in different locations,” said Greg Faje, vice president of investor relations. “You know us well enough to know we’re not that cute. We’re not that attractive.”
Some said they see the worst in the rearview mirror. “We have passed peak fear,” Barton said, describing sentiment among home buyers and sellers.
Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson, who has slashed tens of thousands of jobs, said April seemed to be the “bottom.” The hotel company is keeping close tabs on demand in China, where the first Covid cases were reported. Likewise, Cushman said it moved one million people — or 10,000 companies — back into buildings it manages in China.
Bosses jumped on the chance to plug the value of office space. (Not that everyone agrees: Twitter said Tuesday that its employees can work from home indefinitely.)
“Work from home has proven serviceable at best,” said Holliday. “Count me out as someone who believes that [the] future of work will be at home in a bedroom with a laptop computer and spotty Wi-Fi connections.”
Cushman recently published a 300-page reopening manual for landlords and tenants; two weeks ago, it hosted a webcast on reopening that attracted 12,000 participants across 8,000 companies.
“When the time comes, many places of work will reopen,” said the firm’s CEO, Brett White, but acknowledged that the environment would feel “like anything but normal.”
With broad swaths of the economy still shut down, companies fixated on liquidity, which will separate those who can pounce on deals from those struggling to survive.
SL Green told participants it’s preparing a $1 billion cushion. “In the current environment, cash is king,” CFO Matthew DiLiberto said. “We actually call this the billion-dollar plan.” The REIT would have hit that cushion had an $815 million sale of the Daily News Building not been scuttled by the pandemic.
Redfin sold a $70 million stake to private equity firm Durable, and Kelman said the move was necessary given “all heck breaking loose in the last two weeks of March.” The discount brokerage reported a $60 million loss during the first quarter, down from a loss of $67 million in the same period last year.
Cushman executives used the word “liquidity” 20 times during a May 7 call — emphasizing how it built up “strong liquidity,” “ample liquidity,” and “surplus liquidity.” The company ended the first quarter with $1.4 billion on hand, including $380 million in cash and a $1 billion credit facility. But it’s still hoarding cash, and has cut capital expenditures “to the bare bones.”
Zillow said it ended the quarter with $2.6 billion in cash and investments, the highest in its history.
In part, Zillow’s war chest reflects the suspension of its capital-intensive home-buying program. Invoking Star Wars, Barton said he’s eager to start buying again.
“It’s time for us to get back to business,” he said, “and get Hans Solo out of that Carbonite.”

How to Order IKEA Online Using Self-Checkout Portal
Tumblr media
If you’re planning to order IKEA items via personal shopping service by Helpr Malaysia, here’s the step-by-step guide for you to complete your order online.
Tumblr media
The best thing about the internet is that you can order things online without even have to leave your home.
IKEA’s website has a comprehensive amount information – everything from product description, size, price, color etc. You can even make your own shopping list and send it to yourself or share it with someone else.
Unfortunately, IKEA’s official website doesn’t provide a platform for you to purchase online. This has become a pain point for many people who see to purchase things from IKEA.
There are only two IKEA outlets in Malaysia right now which both are located in the Kuala Lumpur. The two store locations are:
IKEA Damansara
IKEA Cheras
While these stores provide convenience to folks living in Klang Valley, people who live in other cities such as Penang, Ipoh and Johor Bahru have no direct access to purchase things from IKEA.
That means they have to resort to ask their friends or drive themselves to IKEA in Kuala Lumpur to purchase the things they need.
Just some updates, there are now plans to open new IKEA stores in Johor and Penang. The construction of IKEA store in Johor is already in progress and will be opened at Tebrau by end of 2017.
Meanwhile, people who are busy with work are not able to commit their time to shop at IKEA, making it even harder for them to get things from IKEA.
This is why we created Helpr, to assist you with personal shopping and getting things from IKEA without leaving the comfort of your home or office.
In the past, the process was quite manual whereby you need to get your shopping list generated from IKEA website, send it to us and then we will give estimates on how much the total cost would be.
If you agree on the pricing then we will advise payment method and estimated delivery time. You can say that it’s time consuming and rather inefficient.
We have developed and implemented a self checkout online store system which allows you to get the total price of your order, the shipment method, calculation of service and shipping fees.
What Online Payment Method is Accepted?
This is followed by making secure online payment directly through one of the banks and payment method below.
Maybank2u
CIMB Clicks
RHB Now
AmBank Group
HongLeong Connect
FPX
PayPal
Your payment will be processed securely via BillPlz payment system that is safely and tightly integrated with all major banks in Malaysia.
That means there’s no longer back and forth email, and the online store works 24 hours. You can contact us at any time if you need any help or support.
How Do You Order Online at Helpr using Self-Checkout?
We will now describe step-by-step on how to place your order online for any IKEA item you wish to purchase. If you have purchased online for anything before, the process is very straight-forward.
1. Browse Online Catalogue or Printed Catalogue
As a start, first you need to identify a list of things you wish to purchase from IKEA. The online catalogue is available on IKEA’s website. Once you have identified the items, you will need to know the article number or the name of item as shown below.
Tumblr media
As you can see from the product Solvinden above, the article number is 303.413.71. This is very much like a product code.
You can either leave your browser window open for all the items you wish to buy or simply write them on a piece of paper.
2. Add Items to Your Online Shopping Cart
Once you have listed your item, go to our online checkout page – click here to launch the online checkout page (http://bit.ly/blog-self-checkout-launch)
In this page, you can either attach a shopping list or enter the article number of the product you wish to buy.
Tumblr media
The form will guide you each step of the process and will explain the terms such as Article Number. If you input the article number, the list will display the product including the image of the product.
Tumblr media
It is extremely intuitive and helpful.
Tumblr media
Keep on adding the items to the list by clicking Add Items.
Tumblr media
Next, select the quantity for each item you need by clicking arrow up or arrow down. Once you have finalised all the things you need, just click the Next button.
3. Enter Your Shipping Address
As your items need to be arranged for delivery, please be sure to fill up your shipping address as shown in the example below. Instant quotation is available for:
- Malaysia
- Brunei
- Singapore
As for other countries, you could still fill up the delivery details and our team will revert to your email asap within 1-3 working days.
Tumblr media
The order summary is shown on the right hand side of the address form. If for any reason you need to correct or update your order list, you can always hit the Back button.
Double check that all your information is correct and click Next.
4. Choose the Delivery Method
We provide four types of delivery services for your purchase as described in that page.
(i) IKEA Home Delivery (Without Assembly): RM 80.00
This service will be provided by IKEA and is subject to slots availability of IKEA Home Delivery. Confirmation of slots will be specially arranged via phone call after your payment is made, during the same business day or next business day. Full insurance coverage is provided by IKEA Home Delivery (within Klang Valley area).
(ii) IKEA Home Delivery (With Assembly): RM 80.00
This method is essentially the same as (i) with Estimated Time of Delivery the same as IKEA Home Delivery (Without Assembly). Full insurance coverage of delivery and assembly are done by IKEA Home Delivery (within Klang Valley area).
(iii) Express Courier – GDEX
The cost is calculated based on the items you ordered. The system will calculate for you automatically. The estimated delivery time is 3-5 working days for Malaysia and insurance insurance coverage up to RM200 per shipment.
You will receive a tracking number once your items are shipped. You can use this tracking number to check the status online on GEDX’s website here.
(iv) Express Courier – KTMD
The last option is via KTMD. This service covers up to Singapore. The same as (iii), the system will auto-calculate the cost to ship your orders. Do note the following estimated delivery times:
Delivery within 3-5 working days for Malaysia.
Delivery within 5-7 working days for Singapore.
Simply choose the delivery method of your choice, and click Next to proceed with the final step which is payment.
5. Payment Step
As explained earlier, this final step will process your online payment. You can either choose paying through your online banking or PayPal.
Using your online banking has no processing fees but PayPal will charge 3.9% transaction fees + RM2.00. This is an actual fee charged by PayPal. Using this method, you can use your international credit card if you don’t have access to online banking in Malaysia.
If you hit next, the page will go the next page where you are given the option to choose your bank. The total amount payable is clearly displayed (this is an example).

Weekend Things
Welp. I've gotten some stuff done:
Ep 17 of the Dragel's Song is almost live. It'll probably finish uploading tomorrow.
Got Payhip updated with all the other eps in the meantime -- 13 thru 17, so it's live there.
Updated Ko-Fi shop front for the Season 1 boxed set, but that took longer.
Still have to get some edits done today and the next chapter of his Loyal Shadow, hopefully before tomorrow. lol.
Yay.

Welp. I made it through another Monday.
October is starting to feel heavy. Hm.
Progress for the day includes:
Chapter tweaks on RBATL (I want so badly to go back to twice a month updates for this, but the current workload is too much...*cries*)
Edits on Haunted Hearts #4
BTR Progress
Edits for today's chapter of Unexpectedly Contracted
Halloween Snippet start. Le sigh.
Happy Monday?

Guess what happens this Friday??
It’s a new book! Book One in my new Series Haunted Hearts releases on June 26th 2020.
I popped a little release day event on my Chera Carmichael fb page. So far, I’ll be sharing character cards and a sneak peek chapter. 😉
As you guys know, writing is how I process things and working on Castle Helios helped me to get through the past couple of months. I’m excited to share the story, even if it is a little quirky compared to my usual angst.
The preorder link right now is just for ebook on Amazon—all other retailers (Kobo, iTunes, B&N, Smashwords, will go live that evening. I’ll be working on the paperback version this week and hope to get it approved by Friday as well. When those go live, this link should also update:
www.books2read.com/castlehelios
I’ll be hyper about this for the rest of the week, lol. So be warned. 😉😂🥰

MTB Accident Update 21: Thank you so much Farouq for the Petit Blocks! Another way for me to kill time here in the hospital! 😎 Sometimes, it can get a bit boring waiting for my right arm to fully recover to start using it to move around on bed and wheelchair but as long I have something to do even virtually, I’m all good! Luckily for me, I have embraced digital and virtual work and lifestyle for a really long time. Most of my notes are online, all of my work, data and files are accessible online or at least in computer or external hard disk. I rarely keep anything in physical folder or use paper unless I really have to. I have started to plan on what and how I will do things in the future. Some of you may know that I am working with an international humanitarian organisation based in Malaysia. I also run my own NGO and also several businesses for fun. It’s not that profitable and more to just my passion ventures. I’m also lucky to be working with a well structured organisation and having a very supportive and understanding boss and leader who is currently looking forward to have me back working for the office. I’m not sure what’s their plan for me in the future but good to know that the plan is actually there. I’m still involved with my own NGO, Humanity Heroes Foundation and as usual, everyone in the organisation is contributing without any salary. I will also continue doing my businesses as usual just enough to sustain it which of course will be hard in COVID-19 situation just like any other business out there. One new thing that I’m thinking to take advantage from my condition and maybe try to venture into next is being a paralympic athlete! 😎 I kinda thought about this since day one being in the hospital 🤣 I already have what sports I wanna do in mind but what do you think will be suitable for me? 🤭 Ash Room 11 / Ward 1C Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (Unfortunately visitors are not allowed including my family due to COVID-19) #MTBAccidentUpdate (at Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC)) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGgQ73ChMWL/?igshid=1eydzxwzaf9bw

MTB Accident Update 20: Wound team discharged! I’m happy to say that all my bed sores pressure points have healed and no more wound dressing on my body except for the right elbow which should be healed very soon too. What you see in this video is a wrist roller. It’s one of the things I use during physio and occupational therapy. My right elbow radial head was fractured. Now, it is screwed with a plating and stabilised. Luckily, I didn’t lose any fingers and wrist ability to move as per usual. Since my right arm didn’t move that much for quite some time, it’s affecting the flexibility in many ways. This wrist roller help me practice to rotate my forearm more especially when the radius and ulna bones are rotating around its axis. Hopefully I can flex my right arm in every way soon. I need to also work on straightening and bending of the right arm. If I’m not mistaken, I’m short of maybe another 10-20 degrees. A lot of work, very slow pace and a lot of pain but one thing for sure, I’m never giving up! 🦾🦾🦾 Ash Room 11 / Ward 1C Cheras Rehab Hospital (Unfortunately no visitors allowed including my family due to COVID-19) (at Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC)) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGXd4sqBqGs/?igshid=hocze99qh6rb

MTB Accident Update 18: Happy 1 month anniversary to me! 😆 A month ago, I had a terrible mountain biking accident. Fractured & crushed my spine & right elbow. I‘m not able to move my lower body. Had a major spine surgery & right elbow. All stabilised now. Wounds almost recovered. Just some bed sore pressure points left. I still have to turn my body on the bed every 2 hours, assisted. Started physio & therapy but not fully due to my right elbow muscles & bones are still recovering. I’m expecting to push myself hard soon to learn everything I could & be independent on a wheelchair including driving. Nothing is sure about me standing or walking again but I’m keeping myself super positive & shooting for the moon! But I’m also ready to face any reality. Acceptance & adaptation is key. That’s me in the photo. It was at vans jump, red line, trail 16, Putrajaya Challenge Park. I was jumping at the cone & crashed exactly where I was laying down. It was a very fast, very high & very hard impact. I was conscious all the time. I asked my friends to call the ambulance & took a selfie while waiting. Thanks to my friends, MTBers and APM who were helping me. You are my heroes! I’m not able to move my lower body since the crash but I can move my abdomen a little now & hopefully more progress in the future but we are not sure about it so please keep me in your prayers for full recovery. We always think of what we have lost but we always forget of the things we still have. A friend reminded me on this & it helped to realise things & appreciate my current state better. It could have been a much more severe injury or death. I am blessed with a healthy upper body, normal vision, ability to speak as usual, a pair of functioning arms, strong lungs that are breathing air, a heart that is beating great & an intact brain with normal higher mental function. Alhamdulillah, I’m still alive & able fight hard! What kept me going is also because of all of you around me! Thanks so much! ❤️🦾 Ash Room 11 / Ward 1C Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (Unfortunately no visitors allowed including my family due to COVID-19) 📷: Ajin, Zak & Ash (at Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (HRC)) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGPxhBDnxzT/?igshid=1weshuqg9g776
