OC information under cut... for those interested...
Top to bottom, right to left:
Ucil, betazoid. Severe alexithymia, can't use telepathy or empathy. Met Esmid on Betazed during Esmid recovering, and traveled with him. Still finding his footing, but felt Betazed wasn't a home for him - looking to find one that does.
Negat, vorta. Once a loyal servant to the Dominion, following the war, he defected and joined the small but growing population of 'liberated' vorta, inhabiting a planet just beyond Klingon and Romulan space - Mnora-1 (M-class, high dilithium yield). Still struggling with loyalty.
Kindos, vorta. Defected during the final portion of the war after meeting Oolon. Previously served as an information holder for the Founders, now enjoys keeping a physical library. Also on Mnora-1.
Oolon, vorta. During the early stages of the Dominion war, Oolon happened to intercept a meeting between Betazed diplomats and Starfleet admin. His attempts to put in a good word for the Dominion failed, resulting in a tense situation and a captured survivor - Esmid. During the stay on his ship as a POW, Oolon grows unsure of the Founders' morality and, after meeting a few other vorta to 'corrupt', flees to a planet just outside of claimed space, a planet that serves as a new beginning for those with rough pasts - Mnora-1. Considered a key figure in future beta-quadrant vorta mythos.
Esmid, betazoid. Ex-diplomat, committer of crimes he can never forget. The betazoid in question that became a Dominion POW to possibly the most curious vorta in existence. Being on a Dominion ship left him traumatized, the action being close to solitary confinement. He has it rough for a while on Mnora-1, before returning to Betazed to heal - coming home to Oolon on Mnora-1.
Suvon, cheronnite. Lt. junior, security, on the Icarus - an Antares-class Starfleet surveyor. Serving during the Dominion war, but outside of Federation space. Grim, serious, and has been doing this a long time.
Captain Danesh, human. Captain of the Icarus, her second assignment, and her dream position. Surveying a farther part of space, still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed about what might be to come. Struggling to build a relationship she likes with her crew, which is bigger than she's used to.
Vatima, romulan. I don't know why I gave her a Starfleet uniform, she's 100% not Federation aligned and would bite me for such an offense.
Bash, LMH. Holographic doctor on the Icarus, tinted orange from a minor conflict with the Second Officer. Definitely not going to grow more sentient over the course of their adventures, securing himself as a unique person with a whole identity and dreams and even, as it seems, a vulcan wife.
T'pal, vulcan. Chief medical officer on board the Icarus. Extremely pleasant, very... emotional for a vulcan. Was not at all pleased to see she was working with an LMH, especially not one modeled after Dr. Julian Bashir, who she found cocky and too full-of-himself at the academy. Unfortunately is too enticed by holograms and robots to resist the holographic individual before her, who was not like the Bashir he was modeled from.
