Preview to Dragon Ball New Frontier: Revenge of Zamasu
Zamasu quickly put on his mask and began to descend upon A group of enemies. This was a variant of the future timeline yes but not one that he interacted with. He wasn't here to kill any humans though. No. Rather he was there to find a version of himself in Goku's body, like him.
He had been building his cult for a while as well as his army, 105 years to be exact. Him being bound to the timestream of every reality in existence including any new realities that form, made him practically immortal just like how the time patrollers were immortal, courtesy of the Supreme Kais of time granting them immortality through resurrection and constantly restoring them to their prime, to where they're physically in their twenties. Something he knew very well. As he landed, he had wiped out an entire military legion.
Their aircrafts, battleships and armored vehicles, laid waste burning as bodies could be seen surrounding the area he was now in. Not that it really mattered. He observed the area trying to sense the ki of his counterpart, the false Saiyan patiently searched far and wide.
"I wonder where my counterpart could be." Goku Black said. His calm demeanor evident as he said this. "Perhaps kidnapping versions of Chi-Chi from various timelines perhaps? As well as the rest of Goku's family? Or maybe torturing a version of Goku? Who knows…"
Just then a figure resembling Goku then began to emerge from the shadows though he wore the typical outfit of zamasu in Goku's body. A black gi with white boots and long sleeves and a Time ring on his finger. He was not pleased to see his counterpart to say the least.
"You have gone too far…." the other version of Goku black declared only for the Crimson masked one to not be phased. The anger in his voice can be heard.
"I don't know what you're talking about," the masked Saiyan calmly responded. Of course what he said was a lie.
"This timeline's version of Zamasu." The other responded. "You allowed your loyal version of Trunks to kill him!"
"You've lost an apprentice and so have I." The masked one only continued. "A necessary loss for our goal. A sacrifice that needed to be made."
"I…" The conflicted Zamasu started to his masked counterpart. "I have betrayed everything I know…"
"All for a greater purpose. You have served the Omniverse well…." The Masked Zamasu said. "They will thank you for it. Soon there will be peace and order to the Omniverse…."
The inferior Goku black tried to counter his master's statements with a valid argument, or so he thought. "But my version of future zamasu could have been a powerful ally," he told his mask double hoping that he would come to realize the potential loss that they now have faced.
"For you perhaps…." The masked version of zamasu simply told him in response.
"You question my loyalty!?" The unmasked imposter of Son Goku began to question.
"Always…." The masked man said in response.
"I have done everything you asked of me!" the other tried to argue.
"And I will continue to ask more of you!" the masked warrior said.
"I…." The unmasked man tried saying but stopped himself realizing that he was fighting a losing battle.
"You clearly must realize that you are serving a much higher purpose." The masked one continued. "And you are serving your purpose flawlessly. My apprentice…."
It was at that moment, the unmasked Goku Black then slowly began to realize that his master and counterpart was a more terrifying man than he originally thought. His heart began to race as he stared at his master in terror.
"Now unless you want to deal with Chi-Chi Black's wrath, I suggest you continue to serve your purpose," The masked version of Zamasu said to his Goku Black counterpart. His calm demeanor showcasing just how much power he had over his double. Seeing the unmasked Goku Black tremble in fear was more than enough for the masked version of Goku Black to be satisfied. Have he truly wanted to torture him, he would have already done so. However, right now he had other plans. "However, I need you back at the castle as soon as possible, so you need to finish up what you're doing here and head there. Or else I will unleash Chi-Chi Black upon you."
Almost like a he who should not be named, the deranged partner of Goku Black had walked up behind them with a smile. "You called, my lord?~" She hummed, looking at Zamasu, holding her hands behind her back. She looked too innocent and sweet, but deep down she has a dark and cold heart. "It's been a while since I've had to punish someone, I was hoping to make them one of my favorite dishes!"
The unmasked Goku Black jumped from his position when he saw the deranged version of Chi-Chi. He was fully aware of this, and the fact that she was able to show up just from the response of her name, almost as if she used her name as a beckon call, well it terrified him. The so-called Crimson Masked Saiyan was not too alarmed as he turned to her quickly and smiled underneath his mask. "Impeccable timing as always, my dear," the god emperor stated as he quickly began to address her. "I am just reminding this version of me of his place. While you're here though, I have a small favor to ask of you."
The demented princess of Fire Mountain smiled with excitement, she then clasped her hands together. "Ooo! What is the favor, my Lord?" She asked, placing her clasped hands by her cheek.
The God Emperor gave a twisted and demented grin at his counterpart, causing him to shiver in fear. "I'm not so confident that my counterpart in front of us is going to make it back to the castle in time," he explained to one of his arguably most loyal followers. "I will give him an hour to finish up what he's doing here and return there, if he doesn't I want you to do whatever you please with him"
The princess then gave a frown, placing her hands down in front of her. "Now, we wouldn't want one of our most loyal members to fail, would we! That wouldn't to fun, I was beginning to like you." She turned to the other counterpart.
The unmasked Goku Black backed away a bit. He knew just how unhinged this version of Chi-Chi was, especially with how the God Emperor molded her, mentally. If she were allowed full reign on him, he would most likely be dead…. or worse. "You don't need to worry my lord," The alternate version of the Saiyan imposter said. "I'll be done on time! I swear!"
“You better be!” The God Emperor said in a harsh tone. “Because if not, Chi-Chi black here gets to have her way with you. And she gets full reign over what she can do to you.” The main zamasu then grinned underneath his mask. The fear in his subordinate's eyes was quite satisfying. But he wasn't going to allow him off the hook simply for that. He was indeed being serious with what he was saying and he wanted to make that very clear. Is a way of reminding his counterpart of his place. “That means she gets to do whatever she wants to you and whoever else you have working with you…… understood?”
The other Goku Black trembled in fear, realizing that the future is almost so that he was working with was also subject to this. They needed to conquer and cleanse This timeline quickly if they wished to not face Chi-Chi Black's Wrath. It was the only way they could escape her fury. Everyone in the God Emperor's Empire knew exactly just how unhinged she was. “Yes…..” the alternate version of Goku Black said in defeat. The fear present in his eyes as he said so. “I understand completely……. Master…….”
“Good…” the God Emperor stated. Clear delight in his voice as he then turned to leave. “Now if you will excuse me, I have more unfinished business to attend to.”
The Black Princess would tilt her head, listening to the two having the conversation, watching them quietly like a predator to prey. She would like it if Goku Black would finish his mission, but deep down she prayed for his downfall so she could have a little fun. Things have been a bit slow for her and has been craving to rule out some punishments.
"Remember, my dear subordinate," The Masked Kai in a Saiyan's body said in a way to remind his servant of what was happening. "If you fail, you are at Chi-Chi Black's complete mercy." He then turned to the twisted version of Chi-Chi. "Which means you get to do whatever you want to do him, my dear," he told her calmly but a twisted smile was underneath the mask.
The Black Princess seemed pleased and excited with that proposal, a twisted yet innocent smile formed. She then turned to the subordinate, giving a small wave. "Good luck~" She hummed, blowing a kiss.
The unmasked Goku Black winced in fear before he quickly flew away to finish what he was supposed to do. Much to the Masked Goku Black's delight. "My my, that was quite quick," the masked version of Zamasu in the Earth Saiyan's body simply responded. "Can't really blame him. Only a select few get to see the more pleasant side of you, my dear."
"I find it fun." ChiChi Black smiled softly, looking over to the Masked Saiyan God.
"Shall we head back to the castle?" The god emperor said with a smile underneath his mask.
The Black Princess nodded, giving a small bow.

longtime dc fan and i think a lot of people are angry because alex is obviously one of the most culturally relevant instances of misogyny in media. that being said being more culturally relevant doesn’t mean it’s the worst instance of misogyny and i think bumble definitely experiences more profound misogyny in the way the actual content is presented, if that makes sense
I get you, and that's a charitable way of looking at it.
I think what's rustling my jimmies is that like, there was a couple of WC fans being mildly dismissive of Alex in that note minefield, after dozens of comments of "fuck you how could you let the fridge woman lose" and "Bumble didn't deserve to win ANY rounds" and "how could A CAT experience misogyny." But then WE get blamed for the toxicity because THEY were butthurt that the Funny Cat People have the 'audacity' to win something they feel entitled to.
Like, we've gotta be endlessly charitable as we get openly insulted because they're upset about Alex losing, a very well-known and culturally relevant character with a legacy so massive we have a whole term named after her. But condemnations of "She's just a cat, letting WC into this poll was a mistake, Bumble can't even be a victim of misogyny" only started coming around once I started talking about it.
as if it's OUR fault people got passive-aggressive or even OPENLY aggressive towards us, and that we're "just as bad" for retaliating
But like you said, it's not a "Most Culturally Relevant Misogyny" tournament, it's a "Canon Misogyny Victims" tournament. And you're not even supposed to give a shit that Bumble died. The fat, woman abuse victim is beaten to death by a dictator, and your takeaway is meant to be, "It's so sad that Clear Sky is being blamed for murdering her, now they're all preparing for self-defense against a homicidal maniac, oh nooo :("
And I think that DOES make her deserve the win here! Alex is a MARTYR. Everyone with a brain agrees what happens to her is bad. It happened in her canon because it was bad. We talk about her and keep her memory alive. Bumble gets dismissed entirely out of hand because she's "just a cat in a kid's book" as if that doesn't make it worse, and as if the kid's book didn't treat a domestic abuse survivor like a moron for even asking for help.
Anyway, just to reiterate, I love DC fans. It's not all of you guys. Alex was done dirty and deserves justice-- and it's even kind of a shame that all she became is "The Fridge Woman." I haven't even heard people talk about how she was a wary, responsible person who was still ready to rock with Kyle's new weird glowstick powers, or that she was a journalist, or that she just got brought back in another edition as a Green Lantern only to be revealed as an illusion and re-absorbed back into Kyle's mind. Nope. Even her fans just remember her as The Fridge Woman.
