A day in Dubai- UAE (my 5th) While finding a place to eat
I got tired from walking inside the mall, got  hungry and decided to find a place to eat in the Food Court. I rounded for about three times trying to find what I wanna eat. There were so many choices. So many unfamiliar restaurants and unfamiliar food. I checked one more time. Counter to counter, Chinese, Japanese, Asian, Italian, Indian, and some other I’m not familiar with, etc etc but…

Home chapter 1
here is the next part of my old manil gets it series
Time to think turns into a week, turns into two, turns into a month.
Daniel isn’t trying to be difficult; it’s just a lot to think about.  Forgiving Armand isn’t as simple as deciding he wants to be with him.  There’s a trust broken that they’d have to restore.  And Daniel doesn’t even know if they have time for that.  His health is shit, and he has that to worry about.  He may well be dead before they can work any of this out.
What finally makes him decide is his heart.  He’s at home alone, eating leftover Chinese food when he starts sweating.  His skin feels cold and clammy and his head feels light.  His breaths are labored and difficult and his chest begins to ache.  It doesn’t feel any worse than a bad case of heartburn, but he recognizes the symptoms.  His doctor had gone over them with him, probably went over them with every person his age.  He’s having a heart attack.
He calls 911 and is rushed to the hospital, where the doctors confirm it is indeed a heart attack.  A mild one, but a heart attack all the same.
Daniel could have died.  He realizes sitting in the hospital bed and listening to the doctor talk.  He’s trying to delicately suggest a care facility, but Daniel is having none of it.  They force him to stay overnight for observation, and Daniel hates it.  Hates being in hospitals, hates being sick, hates that he’s dying.
If Armand had given him what he wanted all those years ago, he wouldn’t be dying.  It’s a thought that creeps in his head, but it doesn’t have the usual heat when he thinks of how Armand denied him.  He’s too tired for anger anyway.  He wants to go home.  Back to his empty home and empty life.
Because that’s what it is, isn’t it?  Empty.  He’s just waiting to die.
And in that moment, when he realized he was having a heart attack, that he might very well die, who was the first person he thought of?  Not his daughters, or his family.  No, it was Armand.  It’s always Armand.
It’s always going to be Armand.  Armand is what he wants.  And Daniel doesn’t want to die alone.
His hand shakes when he calls Armand.  He has no idea if Armand will even answer, doesn’t know what time of day it is in Dubai.  It’s nearing midnight in Brooklyn, so probably around 8am.  Armand is probably asleep with Louis.
He answers after a few rings, voice thick with sleep “Daniel?”
“I had a heart attack,” Daniel says without preamble.
“Where are you?”  Armand’s voice is alert at once.
“In the hospital, they won’t let me leave till morning,” Daniel says, then quickly adds “I’m fine.  It was only a mild heart attack.”
“Only a mild heart attack,” Armand repeats.  “I’ll be there as soon as possible.”
Hearing him say that he’s coming breaks something inside Daniel, and tears well in his eyes.  He’s been so miserable this last month.  The only spot of happiness he’s had is when Armand visited.  Daniel has missed him so much it hurts, a pain so deep and familiar he’s forgotten to notice it.
“Boss, I think…I think I want to go home,” he says, and he feels like a twenty-something year old kid again, calling Armand and begging to be taken back.  He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.  “Can you come take me home?”
Armand inhales, just a small sound.  “Daniel, what do you mean?  I’ll take you anywhere.”
It doesn’t matter.  Night Island.  Dubai.  Brooklyn.  Home is wherever he’s with Armand.  “Wherever, as long as you’re there.”
Armand is silent for a beat, then says “I’ll make the arrangements.  I’ll be there soon, beloved.”
Daniel feels like he can breathe again.  “We can talk when you get here.  About what happens next.  About everything.”
“Of course, lover.  Try to rest.  Soon, we’ll be together.”
“Yeah,” Daniel says, then, because it’s bubbling inside him and can’t be contained, “You know I love you, right?”
Armand’s voice is so gentle when he speaks.  “Yes, Daniel.  I know.”
“You aren’t going to say it back?”  Daniel says.
“I love you,” Armand says at once.  “I’ll say it as many times as you like once I’m there.”
“See you soon, baby,” Daniel says.
“Soon, Daniel.”

Best of the Philippines: Ultimate Travel Guide for Sun-Seekers and Adventure Lovers
Tumblr media
The Philippines is a dream country to visit for many tourists here in Southeast Asia. Beautiful beaches, tropical rainforests, native cultures, and smiling people – the picturesque sights in the Philippines make it as close to perfect as a travel destination can be.
How to Plan Your Trip in the Philippines
The dry season in the Philippines runs from November to April. It will be clear, and there will be little rain during this time. Nonetheless, the Philippines is a beautiful travel destination all year round; you are good to go even if it's not the dry season. The only thing you should be aware of is that rain could occur. Many travelers opt for Philippines Holiday Packages from Dubai, which provide a convenient way to explore the country without hassle.
What to Pack for Your Trip
As the Philippines is a tropical country, pack your clothes accordingly. This is a friendly reminder to pack loads of shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and a hat. If you plan on doing anything like hiking or trekking, then a light pair of sturdy shoes is also required. Don't forget your swimsuit, sunscreen, and sunglasses!
Getting to the Philippines
With the huge number of international airports all over the Philippines, surely, there is a flight fit for you. Once you get to the Philippines, it's easy to travel by plane, bus, jeepney, or tricycle.
Finding a Place to Stay
There are accommodations in the Philippines for all tastes and budgets; options range from backpacker hostels to luxury resorts. For budget options, there are many nice, clean, and comfortable rooms in guesthouses and hostels. For those seeking a little more luxury, the Philippines has some of the most beautiful island resorts in the world.
Things to Do in the Philippines
There's something for everyone in the Philippines. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Relax on the beach: The Philippines boasts some of the most gorgeous beaches. Whether you want to laze and bask in the sun or ride the waves, there is a perfect beach for everyone in the Philippines.
Go island hopping: The Philippines is an archipelago, so island hopping is a must. Swim, snorkel, and dive into the clear blue water all day.
Trek in a rainforest: The Philippines has some of the most biodiverse rainforests. Hiking trails take you through lush forests with scenic waterfalls.
Explore a volcano: The Philippines is home to many active volcanoes, where you can hike to the top and peer into the crater.
Visit a city: The Philippines is full of vibrant cities, each offering its unique culture and rich history. Manila, the capital, is a must-visit, while Cebu City is famous for its landmarks and mouth-watering food.
A Few Additional Tips
Official Currency: The Philippine Peso (PHP) is the local currency, but US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. ATMs are also plentiful.
Try the local food: Filipino cuisine is a unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, Spanish, and American flavors.
Be respectful: The Philippines is a deeply religious country, so it's important to respect local customs and traditions.
I hope this blog has given you a glimpse of the wonders that await you in the Philippines. It's a unique country, and I'm sure you'll never forget your experience there.
