What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again. Meanwhile, in New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette.
Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.
10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.
Holly shit dude that's sick! I love AUs where things get mixed up and change. I love Chloe, she's my favourite and she really has potential as we saw until asstruc™ go on an ruined it but it really ended up more of a tragedy like someone else said in a post, by Marinette forcing Chloe out of her life where she plays a villain Chloe has to be the victim of her story and i think that's really poetic. I love when "villains" are only villains for other people while having their reasons and trauma etc. which the "main characters" can't see or understand.
This au can also be interpreted as Chloe when given a chance with people not treating her like devil incarnate can be better and i think that just shows how hypocritical everyone else is. It can also be a way for Zoe to understand why change is so hard for Chloe rather than her actually hating her sister. Even when she's being Zoe and being nice as long as people see Chloe's face they call her all kinds of things behind her back and to her face. I think she might start hating the "good people of Paris" rather than blaming Chloe because when she first came to Paris everyone was nice without even knowing anything about her, only hesitating when they heard her sister is Chloe, even then the immediate though they had was "she's actually secretly nice but Chloe is what's wrong" when it was Zoe acting how she did whenever she was around people before coming to Paris, sure that's an act but Chloe isn't the one who made her start doing that, it was Zoe herself who deals with her trauma caused by their mother and people around her just like how Chloe is determined to be like their mother so she loves her own daughter, it's literally the same trauma but she has no one who teach her what's wrong or right, only thing nice she knows is her dad drowning her with gifts not taking care of her, and only people who might've been helpful (hotel staff) she can't possibly listen to because she's conditioned to belittle and hate them since birth.
It'd be cool if Chloe and Zoe worked together against the people who would rather send Chloe to hell before they can even think about her not actually being a villain and more of a victim of abuse and not having a parent figure that isn't abusive or only spoils her to the point she doesn't know what being loved means other than having money and gifts.
They could even do the whole stealing miraculous thing but being more of a vigilante duo rather than villains but Ladybug still want to get the miraculous back and seeing the sisters more of a villain while the people of Paris slowly warms up to them since they're mostly helping people in a different more emotional way while researching a way to switch back to their own bodies.
I can see Marinette and at first Chat Noir alongside with Alya and most of Paris hating them seeing them as Hawk Moth 3.0 but slowly seeing that they're not evil (probably except Marinette at first until maybe they found out the truth or thinking this was a trap to gain trust so they can take over the world or something because she's also traumatized and have trust issues alongside paranoia)
Eventually as the sisters use miraculous to help people rather than villainy people start to trust them and they continue to try finding a way to turn back. They also try people to give Chloe (Zoe) a chance while Chloe as Zoe starts to get better and heal without all the drama and hypocrisy from Parisians especially her classmates since she has to go to Zoe's class for now and is away from people who hate her more than others.

Guardian!Chloé Au: So I'm just going to go ahead and ask, what exactly happened that led to Chloe ending up in Fu's care?
Audrey and André divorce shortly after getting married, but Audrey realizes that she is pregnant and for some reason decides to have her (perhaps because of the bad press that would arise if they found out).
She has Chloe and they decide to leave her at Master Fu's door. After that Audrey practically forgets her existence, and thinks that the only daughter she had was Zoe.

I'm procrastinating on my schoolworks rn so I'll be pouring out all my thoughts about Zoé in Adoration here in the meantime ( ̄︶ ̄)↗
⚠️ Adoration spoilers ⚠️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was mentioned in the episode that Zoé is in 8th grade while Marinette's class is in 9th, which likely means Zoé is probably 1-2 years younger than Chloe. I expected her to be older because if not, that would mean Audrey had Zoé when she went to New York, leaving little Chloe behind. It could be that either (1) their mom cheated while away, or (2) Audrey and André Bourgeois actually separated (which is why Audrey left for NY). Later on, Audrey had Zoé but then separated from her father to get back with André. Most likely the latter or maybe I'm just missing something lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways I love that Zoé developed such a close bond with André and the hotel staff. She's also much more confident in standing up against Chloe which is great. Maybe soon she can finally help Chloe be a better person (but alas the creator probably won't ever make that happen).

Moving on... ZOÈ MY SWEET BABY IS SO IN LOVE W/ MARINETTE!!!!! And despite listening to Marinette gush about her crush on Adrien all day, not once did Zoé look jealous or even a bit annoyed 😭❤️. Instead, she just looks at Marinette so lovingly with her adorable doe eyes. And she even cheers Marinette on in confessing to Adrien. She's too precious for this world oml I LOVE HER SM😭

Characters that deserved better from the writers part 2, because this show really robbed a lot of them.
From Chloé and Zoé not being allowed to form a bond, grow together and stand up to Audrey, to Zoé’s throw-away and rushed introduction in general.
Luka was introduced as nothing more that the third wheel, dropped, and later turned into yet other mindless shipper of Adrien and Marinette (no hate to the ship btw). He has no personality, and seeing his backstory, it’s really a shame they didn’t develop him further.
And finally to Su-Han, a Master of the miraculous, with over two centuries of training, who instead of becoming Marinette’s new teacher, was insulted and degraded by the writers and made into a pathetic wimp, groveling in front of a holder with less than a year of experience.

Audrey to Chloe and Zoe: Girls, now that you're old enough, there's something I've always wanted to tell you, and I think you're ready to hear it: You're not very pretty, and you're not very bright. I'm so glad we had that talk.

Man.... this is so detailed, how did you even come up with this?? It makes a great plot for a little angsty fic, maybe you should write it after all?? I bet many will enjoy reading it just as I did!!
Thanks forbut sharing this greatness with me!!

Well, that sounds interesting. And there's a lot going on in that ask. Let me make sure I got it all right.
Bodyswap with Zoe and Chloe and neither know why.
Zoe realizes it more so.
Chloé doesn't.
But... Chloé is in Zoe's body in NY, she would know whats going on.
Zoe is in Chloés body.
Oh- wait. I reread it and I misread in the begining. So, let me try this again.
Swap bodies.
Audrey takes Chloés body with Zoe in it to NY.
So Zoe's body has Chloé in it.
Again as above, Zoe(mind) understands what's going on moreso than Chloé(mind).
Due to issues with Chloé in the past, she's being tricked into thinking she is the real Zoe. (Even though she's Chloé in Zoes body.) [OK so like do others not know they swapped?]
So, when the real Zoe comes back in Chloé's body, they've convinced Chloé(in Zoe body) that Zoe(in Chloé's body) that it's actually Chloé even though Chloé is in Zoes body.
Is my second take more what you were meaning? Like is the second part of this the idea you were thinking of.
It sounds interesting and if written correctly, and understandable, it could be very neat!
This actually makes me think of my After Oblivio story with body swapping.

The Rich Kids as Sentibeings
Still not sure where I stand on the senti!Adrien theory, but after seeing a few posts saying that maybe all the rich kids are sentimonster I just have ideas. Idk if this would fall into the category of fic idea, headcanon, or theory; but I just want to write it down:
So Nathalie, Gabriel, and Emilie find the two lost Miraculouses and the Grimoire in Tibet and bring them home. They're more interested in the Peacock at first since it doesn't involve the need of another in its powers, so Nooroo is locked up and is unable to warn them it's broken. Emilie creates a lot of things, and soon shows the Miraculous to her sister.
Amelie is the first one that wants a sentibeing that's more permanent– she wants a child. Both she and Emilie are unable to have kids, and both realize they now have the opportunity to have a child. They can craft the perfect children for them. Gabriel isn't too sure about this, but wants Emilie to be happy.
Amelie wants to use the Graham de Vanily rings as the amoks for the kids– one for her and one for Emilie, but Gabriel refuses to give up his wedding ring, so Amelie chooses another ring that becomes Felix's amok.
Looks are simple– their children should practically like twins like they are! Personality is where they had different ideas. Emilie wanted her son to be perfect, sweet, smart, obedient. A perfect little doll. Amelie wanted a child to cherish and love, clever and sharp: and so Adrien and Felix are born.
Of course others in their circle immediately notice that the two sisters who were known to be unable to conceive suddenly both have children. Gabriel is selective on who is let in on their secret, those with great influence. They learned of the Grimoire, of the Miraculous that Emilie has, and they all promised to keep this a secret.
(And maybe they formed some kind of secret society or something with masks matching animals from the Grimoire.)
Tumblr media
Audrey and Andre were the next ones who wanted a child– especially Andre. Like the twins Audrey seemed unable to have a child as well, and Andre really wanted to be a father, and Audrey liked the idea of not going through a pregnancy, and so Chloe was created with an amok of her own. Audrey got the say on what their child would be like– looking like Audrey, with a personality to match.
Not long later Audrey learned that she could in fact have a child, finding herself pregnant after an affair. She immediately turned to favor her "real" daughter, not that she was exactly a doting mother, and as time went on she spent most of her time in New York, leaving Andre to care for their sentibeing child, who had a desperation to please her mother even in her absence. It took many years for Audrey to start looking to Chloe again, once she realized Zoe wasn't exactly what she wanted in a daughter. Andre cares deeply for both his daughter and step daughter.
Tomoe took more time in deciding if she wanted a child, but knew the opportunity probably wouldn't arise again. She currently didn't have a partner, was interested in woman, and liked the idea of having an heir. Her daughter was to look like her in her younger years, with the same passion for fencing. Firm, smart, swift, creative, brave, and never backing down– so Kagami was born.
Bob Roth wanted a son that could be successful, someone who could help him bring in money, and who would think like him. He didn't care too much for looks, so went for someone who could draw a crowd one day, with a dash of musical talent. He didn't want a baby to care for, and so Xavier-Yves came into the world as someone older, memories given to him, and with Bob's connections he was able to create an identity for his son with no one suspecting a thing.
–––––––
Amelie was the only one that told her son about his origins, and gave him his amok so he could grow and develop for himself. He began more sly and a bit more cunning without her guiding his amok, but this was her child and just like if he had been born naturally she wanted him to craft his own identity. Felix is aware of his fellow sentibeings are well, but has yet to tell any of them, but has considered telling his cousin.
Kagami was also given her own amok– a ring like the others, featuring her family's crest– but she was not told what it was– only that it needed to be protected at all costs and never given to another. Kagami can feel a connection to the ring, but doesn't know more than that. Kagami's creativity that was originally meant for honing her skill as a swordswoman drifted into its own direction as she grew– an interest in art capturing her focus. Tomoe of course turned her daughter away from this path, not knowing that she continued art in secret.
Andre has Chloe's amok, and can never bring himself to bend Chloe's will in any form, but with her inheriting a lot of her mother's attitude he does not risk entrusting it to her either. There has been many times he has considered having her ease back with her selfishness and attitude, but feels horrible for even considering controlling her, and gives into her demands as his way to silently apologize.
Emilie kept Adrien's amok at all times, but like her sister she wanted her son to grow and become his own person– as long as it still fell into the image she had for him. When requests like going to public school and any forms of disobedience were always shut down with just a few words. Deep down Adrien didn't want to comply, he was created to be his own being, but he couldn't fight the orders. It wasn't until Emilie went into a coma that he could truly start figuring out who he was and push the barriers around him... until his father put on the ring, of course.
Bob Roth keeps XY's amok, but doesn't influence him too often, usually just an extra push to get exactly what he wants. XY is happy with leading the life his father is living though and does what he asks, though has considered what else might be out there in life, but for some reason can never bring up the topic with his father.
–––––––
Felix has mixed feelings on his cousin. They used to be very close, but a lot of bitterness has arose from the fact that he was kept from coming to his father's funeral and the fact that he is Emilie's son. He loved his aunt Emilie– but his aunt is gone, and it's just Gabriel with control over his existence now. Gabriel wouldn't get rid of the child Emilie treasured, but him... his fate is in Gabriel's hands.
He tried to steal the rings to make his mother happy, but also he wanted to get Adrien's amok. He wasn't sure what he would do with it. Sometimes he imagined threatening Adrien's existence to get a hold of the Miraculous that created them so Gabriel couldn't destroy them, and other times he just wanted his cousin to have complete control of himself like he did. He never voices these thoughts to anyone.
He takes great joy in pushing Gabriel's buttons, but is worried about going too far as well.
–––––––
Basically of the adults know that Gabriel is Hawk Moth. He's never directly told them, but it's clear what's going on. They don't say a word though, not even when they or their kids are akumatized, as they know angering Gabriel could risk them losing their child. The only one that hasn't fully connected that Gabriel is Hawk Moth is Audrey, but Andre doesn't dare say a word to her at risk of her doing something that could make them lose Chloe.
Andre's greatest fear aside from something happening to Chloe is the public learning that he's well aware of who Hawk Moth is.

Ummm... I would think you have a big imagination but I would definitely read a fanfic like that haha
PD: Ngl I think Zoe is just a good Chloe that accepted that she liked Marinette

i often forget how rich the characters in miraculous ladybug are, so i'm just going to be diving a bit into some of their backgrounds and such that indicates how wealthy they are :
marinette : literally privilleged, her design has literally been showcased in a famous designer's collection, her dad is the owner of a famous bakery in paris, her uncle is a renowned chef, her parents' place would literally be so expensive irl, she goes to a private art school, and is considered as one of the less rich kids like how-?
adrien : this one is obvious. a famous teen model, has a dad who's a famous designer (and super villain) and a mother who's a famous actress. can guarantee you that his mother's side are old money people. ok marinette's bedroom itself is already big, but his-? a whole playground, with a rock climbing wall and a skateboard ramp. also isn't his fencing teacher like super famous?
alya : not much detail about her, but her room is honestly quite tidy, modern, very well designed. isn't her sister an athelete? her apartment seems quite large, and her mom works as a chef at a famous hotel so-
luka and juleka : their dad is a famous rock star, manages to fund his ex-wife and kids for a living. they live in a boat, a huge one, and have many sound + music equipments.
max : the only relative of his that we know is his mom who works as a conductor and is pursuing her dreams of becoming an astronaut. a conductor's salary per year may reach a max amount of $374 thousand US dollars, and you'd need a master's degree in certain science majors to pursue being an astronaut. i'm just gonna assume that his dad is ultra rich or smth-
chloé : her dad is literally the mayor of paris and owns a luxury hotel, where she lives at. her mom is probably the "anna wintour" of the miraculous ladybug world, meaning she is literally rich af. also she has a butler and a limousine... dam.
zoé : went to a private boarding school in new york, has an ultra famous mom, also currently lives in a luxurious hotel.
kagami : her mom owns a sports car, takes fencing lessons, really well mannered, most likely comes from an old family as well but i'm not gonna assume much i guess. if her mom is smh friends with gabriel agreste then i'm going to assume she is ultra rich.
nino : how is he a literal dj despite still being a minor? he seems rich tho, could tell from the vibes. his little brother is spoiled as well.
lila : italian who moved to france since her mom works in the embassy. usually an embassy worker's child is put into an elite (private?) school by the government i think.
mylène : i don't think she's considered as rich as the others, but she def has money. her father works as an assistant educator at their school which could be how mylène got into the school. her father also works as a leading actor (a mime), and the max salary for a mime per year is $96,500.
so far those are the only ones i know, anyways-
