When bluestar was young she was open to the other clans and keen on making friends for at the time all four clans were at peace but lost after lost, from her mother, from her courter Sweetdapple, to her sister, and then to two of her kits bluestar soon became fridged to her Clan and only open up to those who are her family those who she call friends, her apprentices and the young kits of the clan.

Even before that she was known to be ambitious fighting against Thistleclaw and Redtail for the position of Deputy and it was no surprise when she gain it after the death of her father, Sunfall..but some would say that she is more alienated from her clan because right after she was named deputy, Pinestar left the Clans to live the life among the kingdoms… some say she became even more fridged to fight against all the eyes of her the other clans and her clanmates waiting for her to fail.

Still she deeply cares for not only her Clan and family and would do anything for them and would do anything to keep them safe… sometimes when a catriles needs her you can find her in the nursery watching over the future of the clan and giving the monarchs a well deserved break.

It is a badly kept secret of Thunderclan that Bluestar has a hatred of the Gods.. blaming them for her misfortune in life ever since her Uncle Goosefeather, the Warlock of ThunderClan when she was an Apprentice told her that they had a great destiny in plan for her.. many Catriles are hoping that she does not pass down that hatred to Blazepaw, the new Apprentice from the Silva Kingdom

Hanji Zoe: Amaris was Hanji's mentor whilst she was training to be a Scout. Amaris taught Hanji about Titans and to be careful around them, but Hanji, being a titan fanatic took her superior's words in but still gets carried away. Amaris also considers Hanji to be the most trustworthy in the Scouts. Eren Yeager: Though Amaris thought he was an annoying little runt at first, she loved the fire in his eyes. It reminded her of Levi when he was young. She found Eren surrounded by a bunch of thugs and decided to save him, much to his displeasure, leading to him explaining that he can handle himself. But was secretly in awe of her hand to hand combat skills and strength. Mikasa Ackerman: Amaris doesn't really interact with Mikasa unless calming her down from one of her panics over Eren. Amaris is considered a mother figure in Mikasa's eyes resulting in her being over-protective. Armin Arlert: Amaris believes Armin is the future of humanity's survival, even more so than Erwin was. Though she doesn't interact with him either, she give him wise advice when he needs it. Hannah Magnolia: Hannah was like a sister to Amaris. They did everything together; from stealing to fighting. Up until her death from a gang fight, where she was stabbed in the stomach. She was the older sister of Isabel Magnolia. Margo Church: Margo was another friend of Amaris, also considered a sister. She was stabbed in the throat, trying to protect Amaris from a thug. She was known as the peacekeeper of the group, and never was one to start fights. FACTS: Amaris is Pansexual and Demigirl. She loves tea, but prefers hot chocolate  more. She likes cleanliness like her brother, but isn't as bad. Amaris looks a lot like her mother when her hair is grown out. She know her brother is secretly obsessed with her but ignores it. She thinks Eren is annoying yet cute. Everything she does is for Levi and her Mother. Since Attack On Titan is based in the 1800's, incest was found in many families to make a bloodline stronger, so my character can be paired with Levi, but mainly Eren. Sociopath Profile: Esdeath

The interesting thing about Esdeath is that she seems to have an actual code of honor. She respects people who actually are up to her standards and does have empathy for some people. Along with the Jaegers and the Three Beasts. It’s not in line with other people’s ways of thinking but she’s not exactly evil. To a point…

However, she does have a rather long sadism streak and lack of empathy for those who she perceives as weak. Even literally saying she has no empathy for the fragile in the dub. She has a fondness for torturing her enemies both in battle and in the industrial scale torture chamber the capital has. And she loves finding new ways to make people suffer. She’s even willing to kill innocent people to accomplish her goal. She even ordered the women of the Ban tribe to be raped while the men watched (her exact orders were for her soldiers to “violate this city until they were satisfied” but she had to have known that would happen), and ordered the burial of half a million civilians out of spite.

Esdeath is also very aware of how Prime Minister Honest is letting corruption run amuck throughout the empire. It doesn’t really bother her that much. Truth be told, she prefers having the civil unrest as an excuse for warmongering. With her very strong “survival of the fittest” mentality, she thinks she can run over the weak since they were not strong enough to defend themselves.

It should be noted that her violent and sadistic tendencies are both direct manifestations of a need for excitement that is seen in many real examples of sociopathy. Despite her loyalty to Honest and his empire, that’s the only leash she’s kept on. She has lived for battle ever since she was a little girl. She’s only fighting for Honest because he keeps offering up battlefields to fight on. If anyone else offered and she considered their cause to be a strong one, she’d join in a heartbeat. Even if the Empire fell, she’d be starting new wars and finding new battlefields to fight in. The only person that has a bigger hard-on for war is the Major from Hellsing.

In spite of that, Esdeath has a very charming and charismatic. Part of this is due to the fact that she has some genuine respect for the men that she fights alongside, but this is also just part of her personality. Run expected her to be a complete scumbag based on some of the stories he heard about her, but he softened his stance on her once he met her. But while she does seem to care about them, it could all just be calculated ways to make them loyal. She does say that they were too weak to survive if any of them die. In fact, she outright states that her nurturing of them breeds loyalty.

“The more I nurture their devotion, the more willing they are to put their lives on the line for me.”

She also has a rather unhealthy obsession with Tatsumi. And an obsession is really what it is because I couldn’t say that she really loves him. Despite the multiple times that he has shown that he’s not interested (both implied and outright stated by him), she didn’t back off for a while. And she even delights in the idea that he could be a masochist. She really sees him more as a possession for her to do with as she pleases rather than a person.

And as Tatsumi notes, her love for him isn’t enough to change who she is. When she realizes he’ll never have her, she tries resolves to either kill him or be content if he finally kills her.

Finally finished binging the Blu-Ray release of Made in Abyss with the English dub.  I had started this series on Amazon Video with subtitles but only made it to episode 7 or so initially.  Once I heard it was getting an English dub from Sentai Filmworks, I put it aside until I could get the Blu-Ray and re-watch the show in English from the beginning.  HIDIVE, in cooperation with Alamo Drafthouse La Centerra recently screened the first three episodes of the English dub with lead voice actors Brittany Lauda (Riko) and Luci Christian (Reg) in attendance.  Earlier, at Oni-Con XV, I got the autograph of Brittney Karbowski who voices the adorable Nanachi, pictured lower right above, for my Blu-Ray insert. This was the last screening for Anime at the Alamo for 2018 (there won’t be a December screening) and I enjoyed starting the show over from the beginning in English.  My ears picked up on Terri Doty being in the cast, as well as narration by Shelley Calene-Black.  Shelley also voices Riko’s mother in flashback, i.e. Lyza.  Christine Auten appears later to voice the mysterious and dangerous White Whistle raider Ozen. I didn’t binge the series in one sitting but over the course of a week or so.  While the series uses a very cutesy art style it can’t be stated strongly enough that this series is NOT appropriate for children...things start to get really dark in the latter half of the show...and not just the unexpected piss, blood and vomit...but full on body-horror elements that are the stuff of nightmares.  Early on Riko is subjected to some pretty high G-forces and predictably vomits and passes out.  This is only the beginning of the horrors Riko will face on her seemingly doomed journey to discover the fate of her mother Lyza the Annihilator.  SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING HERE To the squeamish, let me assure you...Riko survives.  But oh god does she suffer and it is not pleasant.  It is gut wrenching. The end of the season is by no means the end of the story, indeed one gets the impression the story is only just beginning.  There’s going to be a season 2 and hopefully more answers to the mystery behind Lyza’s fate.  What ultimately happened to her?  Is she alive or dead?  Riko knows she is on a one way mission and accepts it.  She was born in the Abyss and seems fated to return there. Sidebar about the society surrounding the Abyss, while the White Whistles seem to be idolized by society as akin to superheroes for their exploits and ability to survive the darkest levels of the Abyss, as individuals, while they may be ridiculously strong with seemingly supernatural abilities, most of them strike me as largely amoral and ego driven.  They have their own private agendas and are given wide latitude to pursue their own selfish ends.  Their White Whistles are custom made and unique to each individual and often as not the designs of these whistles is super creepy.  Ozen was ostensibly Lyza’s friend, but Ozen is so long lived she was an adult when Lyza herself was Riko’s age.  Ozen has definitely seen some shit.  Ozen admits without shame that she kind of despises Riko, and yet seems grudgingly willing to help her as a favor to her friend.  But Ozen seems just as driven by her own morbid curiosity than by anything so quaint as loyalty or friendship.  Ozen is cold and analytical and speaks about life and death in a rather matter-of-fact way, without sentiment.  She is literally black and white, without shades of gray.  She’s fascinating and terrifying all at once.  She is my stand out favorite character of this season, with Nanachi a close second. Riko quickly discovers she’s in way over her head and would die without Reg to protect her.  Reg for his part has to learn better strategies for protecting Riko than his hand “wave motion gun” he calls “incinerator”.  He can use it, but it expends so much energy that he will fall into unconsciousness for no less than 2 hours afterwards, leaving Riko perilously on her own until he wakes up.  Ozen warns Reg that he should refrain from using it unless circumstances are so dire they have no other choice.  This sets up a great tension for the remainder of the series as Riko and Reg navigate the lower depths. This is a solid show, the artwork is beautiful, and I really look forward to Season Two.

Kandagawa Jet Girls Races to Home Video with English Dub Cast Reveal

  If you're in the mood for some cheeky mixed media fun, the Kandagawa Jet Girls TV anime is coming to home video next month. Sentai Filmworks has the Blu-ray complete collection scheduled for March 23, and ahead of that we have a look at the full English dub cast along with a preview.

If you could give all your characters Voices what they sound like or in a better way what voice actors and actresses would you like use

In no particular order:

Nota: Something raspy. but good at singing. I’m thinking kind of like the singer who does the end credits song of Skull Girls.

Eb: I got a previous ask about this and replied that she’d had something close to Android 18′s voice. But upon second thinking, I think Eb should sound more pompous/arrogant since she’s a pretty trollish character. So for that, I think I’d pick Michelle Ruff (Eliza from Skull Girls). That or the VA for Naga the Serpent.

Lunette: She’s a mime. She can’t talk. :V

Krsha: I think a more angry–sounding Stephanie Young for her (Olivier Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist). I think she’d have a good gruffness to her.

Cora: Think is admittedly very hard considering she’s rough, but also optimistic and the like. But if somehow Christine Auten could do an Australian accent and sounded more optimistic, then I can see that working!

Connor: When he is older and stuff, I think Travis Willingham could do a goofy, but adult version of him. That or I could make him sound like the total nerd he is by using a more energetic Chuck Huber.

Marie: This one is also very hard to pick both in I’m trying think what type of voice she should have. I’d want something cute since she’s a cinnamon bun, but not too sugar-inducing cute. I’m gonna leave this one open for folks because honestly I genuinely don’t know who I’d want to pick or ruin the magic of picking!

These are the females from the Amazon Realm. From left to right: Nia, Mimi, Queen Zina, Kaya, Fiona. They do not like to get involved in wars unless their realm is endanger. They are base off the females from Mazinkaiser SKL. Queen Zina cares for her people and fellow amazons. She acts like mother to her amazons. When she sees a amazon that has been hurt or been through a lot she will hug them with tears coming from her eyes. She is also very good with her magic and is able to help her people when needed.

Fun fact I based her character off of Rose Quartz from Steven Universe a bit.

(Voiced By Erin Fitzgerald) Kaya is the bravest of the amazons. She will do anything to protect her queen and fellow amazons. She is in charge of the amazon army always leading them to victory. She has never backed down from a fight but she knows there will come a point in time that she will.

(Voiced By Christine Auten) Fiona is the most caring of the amazons and cares for the safety of her people. She helps her amazons by healing their injuries. She does use her healing powers on the battle field when the situation calls for it. She also has great combat skills so she won’t go down easily.

(Voiced By Shelley Calane-Black) Nia is the smart one and can think of ways to protect her people from harm. She has thought of many battle strategies to make she her fellow amazons don’t get killed or injured. Her plans have always worked in most battles but she has yet to meet anyone smarter than her.

(Voiced By Sandy Fox) Mimi is a little reckless and will always fight to stop her enemies from causing any harm to Zina. She is always the first to charge into battle along side Kaya. She and Kaya are also lovers and fight well as a team. She has beaten many opponents in battle.
