18. Top 3 favourite non-professional riders?-I like a lot of people in the norwegian Academic community who i will not name here in fear they find my blog some day :’) 

29: Plans for your horse over the next year?-Make use of the riding arena where she is on summer pasture and really get us going in the riding department. Then start going on trail rides, lots of trail rides. I want to make her the sturdiest trail horse ever.

Hey! Anouk here, owner of Afra :) I have something I'd like your opinion on. Afra is almost done with shedding, only not just her fur shedded but also her manes. Now it's half the lenght of what it has been :c. So I kinda wanted to try cutting it completely short like fjords have for a while, I always think that looks kinda cute and wonder how it would look on her. Only my mom and sis don't support my plan, they think it's a waste of manes hahaha. Do you think it would look good on her? ;)

I was very very tempted to do this with Rudi as well since i LOVE roached manes, but her mane is just too damn fluffy and cute on her that i decided to leave it long for now. I might cut it after summer though :) I think it would look adorable on Afra! :3 One thing about cutting the mane this short is that it will grow back out very straight and take a good while to grow back, but if that’s not an issue for you i’d definitely say try it :D

Hey! Where in Iceland are/ were you? Do you have any tips on clothes I'll defenitely need there? The Netherlands doesn't get as cold so I'll need to buy some stuff x3

I was in Reykjavik! It depends on when you are going there, but definitely buy some thermal trousers and a nice thick coat if you are going in winter. Wool leggings/sweathers are also your best friend to wear under your other clothes. Some nice warm shoes and wool socks are also great :) Don’t forget gloves and a hat!  But if you are going in summer i wouldn’t worry too much :)

That doesnt sound good about Rudis feet! Getting it in winter isn't super weird, the sugars in grass can get to really high levels on cold sunny days. Those are the days where you should be most careful. Our shet has it too and we use a grazingmask.

The thing is that there is no grass in the paddock where they spend the winter, so im not sure if it was the feed she was getting at the time that caused it or if she already had it when i got her.. Once i move to college i’ll see if i can get her a grazing mask. The fields here at the barn are full of trees that im scared she’d get it stuck in :/
