i got to run around looking and acting Extremely Normal with a friend in this genuinely-kind-of-unsettling parking lot basement it was a lot of fun

i made her coat and ribbon/charm myself! (thanks to some help from another buddy with 3d printer access.) the shirt is a heavily modded off-the-shelf polo. vier and takano are both very fun to play and i will definitely be returning to them...!

Looks like Vier is doing her old disappearing trick again. Nice of Ryukishi to throw this little thing in for us fans. Though it does make me wonder where the hell she got the body.

Interesting to note that she's from the ABN, the religious faction. However, while Vier does make frequent mention of god, I doubt she's referring to the big man upstairs that the actual religions are focused on. Her obsession with god may have been started from her time as a citizen though.

She also probably left the ABN and got with Toujirou because the type of god she focuses on would probably be considered heresy.

Finally, as the one who created the Dreissig Conversion, this means she participated in Gauntlet Knight research. Wouldn't be a stretch then to say she might have programmed Miyao into being a talented GK

I wonder if Eua had grown attached to Vier at some point since Eua was visibly saddened over Satoko's 'lack of memories' of being Vier. Maybe that's why she had tried prodding Satoko a little back in the beginning of Sotsu.

It might be possible Eua just wanted to see Vier again through Satoko, the latest reincarnation.

I guess Vier was just too much fun of a character for a witch plagued by boredom.

📖 a popular headcanon regarding my muse everything involving lambda is pretty much headcanon territory across the board, since the author is allergic to being direct about anything ever (/not neg), and the few established facts we get for her kind of just get retconned later on anyway. BUT! that's what makes her so compelling to me. :) nobody knows for sure what her origins are, what her life as a human was like, what kind of logic error she'd suffered through and how she solved it, or her exact connection to ciconia's vier/jestress and higu's miyo/satoko. at least at this point in time, it's all open for interpretation!!! i like to apply the same ambiguity to her in-character where she's this popular sociable witch with 450396547545 connections, parading around willfully playing into the "oh i'm just a ditz teehee" persona, but nobody (except bern) actually knows of her complexities or really anything beyond surface level about her, besides the sides she's actively allowing to be shown. but idk if that answers the prompt question necessarily sgdfhfdgfhf SO in a "rokkenjima prime" sense i really do like the popular fan theory that she's a representation of the candy under the overturned teacup, the little piece of magic that expands beatrice's universe to two (with maria) and consolidates her status as a witch ✨with certainty✨ for the first time !!

higurashi: the sonic x set up but they end in hinamizawa instead. the villagers are weirded out by the little animals for a second but quickly just accept it because that´s just how it is in hinamizawa.

umineko: eva hires the chaotix to discover if kinzo is dead as a form of provocation. literally no one in the island wants them around except the cousins. the whole thing goes off the rails inmediately as vector becomes fixated on solving the riddle, charmy just frolicks with maria and espio ends up finding out about kuwadorian only through spying on family members while invisible

Thinking once again about how absolutely fire Ciconia fashion is. Literally every single character has fucking DRIP! I wish Ciconia was more popular just so I can see more cosplays. Every character deadass a fashion statement. My favorites off the top of my head have to be Jestress, Lingji, Miyao, and Meow. Maybe Vier and Gunhild too, there's too many to pick from.

Oike thinking abt it ciconia will probably be lambdas backstory in the same way higu was bernkastels. The vier comment in gou shows that vier-lambda comes before satoko-lambda and probably takano-lambda too (and obviously umineko lambda). I guess maybe this is old news but just something i was thinking about.

I was debating about what Lambda (as opposed to Satoko)’s opinion on academics would be, and it only just now clicked.

Eua insistently calling Satoko “Vier” while Satoko can’t stand studying isn't just a Lambda reference, it's also SUPER ironic.

Because Vier’s big thing in Ciconia is that she was a genius scientist who faked a suicide in order to give up her life as a normal human and devote her entire existence to researching God’s Wisdom. In other words: she loves studying! More than anything!

(Or, well, she calls it “translation” rather than pure studying, but the point is: she’s given up literally everything - possibly even including a husband and child - all for the sake of academics.)

Anyway, you wanna talk about looper allergies? 

Eua implies that whatever Satoko was beforehand, she’d been looping millions of times in order to meet a god… so Vier, how long were you studying?!  

Forget Rika and St Lucia, Satoko may have been burned out on religious-flavored academia from her echoes of another life. XD

Also, it’s probably pointless to try to build a meta timeline and yet, and yet…

I wonder, could Satoko and Takano both being present in Higurashi be related to Satoko’s missing meta-memories? Like whatever (probably horrifying and eldritch) thing Vier/Mitsuyo/LD3105 did in order to loop to meet a god, maybe it also shattered their meta-existence in some way. And perhaps the piece with the memories granted certainty to Takano while the other (amnesiastic) piece became Satoko?

And then presumably those pieces joined back together to form Lambda sometime before Umineko, I guess. Much like how Hanyuu seems to have regained her older Eua form to become Featherine.

Alternatively, another thing I’m wondering is whether Eua might just be outright mistaken! Maybe Satoko isn’t and wasn’t ever Vier. But because a god mixed the two up and gave Satoko power in Vier’s name, it means that now Satoko’s meta-existence is intertwined with Vier’s. Whoopsie!

Laughing at this disclaimer since Ryukishi ended up predicting both Russia interfering with Ukraine and the pandemic.

However, the most interesting thing in this disclaimer is Vatican Document #34. Now obviously, this document doesn’t actually exist (as far as we know). This is probably a reference to the overwhelming use of 34 in this series from Miyo Takano, to Lambdadelta, to even this game’s own Vier Dreissig.

However, could this not be just a simple joke but something that really exists in the game’s universe? Since the aforementioned Vier has made it her life’s mission to meet god, perhaps this document is something she drafted herself?

Or since Lambda has been involved in numerous historical events, maybe it was a document drafted by the actual Vatican under orders of Lambda, or possibly from an observation of her.

this one shot in the ciconia op is so funny for a higurashi fan when you watch it for the first time

like ok, there’s okonogi. he’s in basically every ryukishi work so it’s just a thing now. okonogi is the constant across all universes, i’d be more surprised if he wasn’t in this story

and then there’s takano. thanks to higurashi gou i was vaguely aware of vier’s existence, although that was just her name and the fact that she looks like this. but it was when i actually stopped to look at her design that i realised just how much she is literally takano. at least other lookalikes have the decency to wear different clothing to their interdimensional counterparts, like bern clearly looking like rika but having a totally different outfit. vier has takano’s exact same pink shirt with the white collar and buttons

and more obviously the same green ribbon. the only difference is the lab coat instead of her jacket. of course her name being 34 in german as opposed to 34 in japanese is the cherry on top

last of all, jirou tomitake. toujirou mitake. shuffling his name around in peak ryukishi fashion
