Circus trees, this was a term coined fore trees purposely groomed or grafted into unusual shapes or into patterns. I will admit my small lot has several. Mine are not really circus trees as they were not shaped through intent so much as natural environment. Here we have two oddities, both black walnut a prized hardwood. The elder has had most of it's root base taken by the river. It has slowly been falling for the past decade or so. The younger has grow up in the shadow and has not struck a good truck yet, bit more a sprawl of ground level branches.
