I absolutely LOVE this post, This should’ve been in the mainline story honestly---I definitely like the idea of Tiese being a yujikiri wingman. 😂 👌

I have been wondering in pure curiosity and not in a bad way: SAO game writers, what was running through your head when you wrote Tiese? She's still in love with Eugeo like canon, but she also seems to be extremely keenly aware that Kirito might actually be the most important person to Eugeo, and maybe he loves him?

Below is Tiese's bed scene dialogue when Tiese was talking about Eugeo's type with Kirito:

If I'm a straight guy who is playing Lycoris so I can date Tiese, there is no way I would be happy if 70% of our conversations together are about my male best friend and not us, not to mention that the conversations are either implying Tiese's crush on my male best friend or that she thinks my male best friend is secretly in love with me, I'd be disturbed to hell and back.

Happily I'm ace so this situation is so amusing to see XD.

And I'm wondering what's going through Tiese's head anyway? Maybe she's confused whether to pursue her love for Eugeo or she wants to consider Eugeo's happiness more?

People can argue that gameverse isnt canon and that the yujikiri scenes are just pandering but uhhh idk fellas, some of it is actually in-universe and it doesnt seem very out of character for Eugeo to say and do mushy shit with Kirito, im just saying🤷‍♂️

Anyway im gonna die on the hill that Lycoris revealed that Kirito poked Eugeo's face almost every night, that Unleash Blading revealed that Eugeo can sleep better ever since he met Kirito, and that Kirito was nice enough to take over the morning shift for Eugeo when they were guardsmen in Zakkaria. I know medina and log are unpopular characters but you can pry these two from my dead hands. 🥲

I personally welcome these two characters that put their flaws on display---that explore themes of bitterness, lack of self confidence/worth, rough upbringing....Its so rare to see and its done in its rawest form. I also appreciate that theyre both not conventionally pretty: theyre built different---and the best part: these two are very gay-coded!

Medina and Log are really something else and theyre very cool-looking. I really do think they deserve more credit.

omfg fellas....zodiac-senpai really made me remember how much I love the other men in alicization, I think should take the time to show some appreciation for them too. And also to remember that SAO isnt completely just harem anymore with the introduction of Eugeo and the integrity knights~

I know a few guys in my inbox were feeling discouraged, and that there’s a few male followers in my list that would be interested in seeing more of SAO’s gay side---so I think I should take the chance to showcase that there’s actually some viable gay ships with Kiri that I wanted to talk about for a loooong time, Like Ishkann x Kirito and Entokia x Kirito...ohhhh man... <3////

OK..This is actually just a wild-crack concept, but imagine if that moment where Higa starts to talk to StarKing Kirito and he mentions Kayaba---Higa starts to blush and be like: “Uhh....Yknow......Kirito......Your plans about Kayaba....I....I just wanted to say.....Me and Kayaba......kinda have a history together.........I....once in my life....I had been in love with him......” And then StarKing Kirito’s taken aback a bit but eventually goes like. “....I-I see. Understandable......I can completely understand...a love for a man..........” 

AND THEN THEY JUST FRIGGIN TALK ABOUT THEIR GAY THOUGHTS OF EUGEO AND KAYABA

Honestly man??? This is a hot take but if you like Eugeo you gotta like Golgorosso too. I mean...like yeah the guy can be a meathead but he’s also very chivalrous and warmhearted. And it’s fair to say that the guy is basically Eugeo’s dad LOL

Okay I’m actually still in the middle of covering stuff about Memory Defrag BUT!! This is super important to note. You’re absolutely right about Eugeo not being the only man in SAO, and I must say, THIS is one of the biggest reasons why I stan Alicization....

...Seriously tho, the male spotlight truly is the most prominent in Alicization: just the male ratio that’s shown here and the proficiency really is much higher in Alicization than any of the other arcs. I feel like in other SAO arcs the males are just backdrops--They’re minor/supporting cast or one-off villains, that are often just one-dimensional or blandly designed: They don’t get much attention & after-thought and it shows. Even Klein and Agil--whom are considered main characters--just weren’t meant to be in the forefront.

But as you can see, Alicization men get their own content, their own backstories, and even their own fanservice. The Integrity Knights are protagonists in their own rights and Ishkann gets quite an arc too. Plus, Kikuoka and Kayaba---and the new addition of Higa---gets to shine in Alicization aswell, And obviously, Eugeo: The absolute KING of the male spotlight.  

Anyway, YES. If you want more male-oriented/dominated cast in SAO then Alicization really is your best pick. 👀
