Hey I don’t know if you’re taking requests, or know someone that is, but I’m feeling a Plo Koon x timid fem!reader fic, rating is dealers choice! Have a great day!!
Summary: Aboard the Triumphant, your fate is sealed amidst your numerous failure.
Pairing: Plo Koon / Reader
Word Count: 1K
Rating: F for Fluff. F for Foolishness.
Notes: The best means of healing and comfort isn't always through a plethora of words and wisdom — sometimes you just gotta yeet that shit out into space with new found friends and better opportunity. Oh and yeah, trust the force or whatever.
Color thingies because I'm deranged to not use them: Orange: Plo Koon Pink: You/Reader Blue: Commander Wolffe Purple: Sinker, Boost, Warthog, Comet
Perfect divider by @idontgetanysleep with itty, bitty, cutie-patootie Plo Koon face ♥

You did what you were supposed to— or at least tried, for that matter. The instructions were pretty clear and simple even for someone who had just boarded the Triumphant after barely making the cut to be a medic. The choice was either to be retrained under a more draconian approach having failed a shy number of times, had it not been for the strings that latched onto your shoulder for having a guardian with amicable connections, or be decommissioned. Not that you would suffer the same fate as the clones for being an external resource, but to no longer be of contribution to the cause of peace in the ever-chaotic galaxy is no better than death itself.
And you were ecstatic —even for a fleeting moment when news of you being assigned to the 104th came about. You’ve heard so much of Master Jedi General Plo Koon and the Wolfpack that you couldn’t really blame why some clones aspire to be under the warm hand of the highly revered and ‘tamed’ Jedi as opposed to the boisterous bunch of Generals Skywalker and Kenobi. You were beyond elated that you’ve missed hours of sleep as you were finally jettisoned from Coruscant to board the venator-class ship that you’ve become quite a jittery mess.
And so here you are; standing before a box of refurbished datapads with not a single device flickering to life as if the protruding ports smashed and torn weren’t enough to instill how much of a failure you are — how much, a simple task efficiency eludes you as how all the tasks before today had done the same.
You might as well just step off the ramp right now and float aimlessly in space to mirror the emptiness you bring to the galaxy with your pathetic existence, right? Might as well just step into the sun and at least allow yourself to be a source of kindling that may burn brighter and serve hope to the fallen like yourself. Might as well —
“Might I interest you in a little distraction, little one?”

Plo Koon, in his towering frame that was both intimidating and of a soothing presence, had placed his talon-clad hand over your shoulder; a gentle squeeze to merit your attention as you turn and immediately lower your head with irises shaken in search of words to offer your most-sincerest apologies for having brought the incorrect package.
“I’m… I’m sorry, sir.” Even your apology was barely acceptable by your standards that you felt even smaller. So small that you were a rough estimate of twenty-nine seconds away from welling up for failing so miserably these past few days. It has deterred your morning routines of self-affirmation knowing fully that you are only to fail once more — and you have indeed yet again. You weren’t much of a talker either; you were that of a shy nature, timid on all accounts.
You hear a soft thud and wince — not that you were hurt or anything, but you were so easily frightened when it comes to failure, thinking he would have struck you or at least commanded a trooper to escort you out of the premises and off to the uncertainties of life.
But no, it clearly wasn’t that at all.
As you gaze up to inspect the sound, you see Plo Koon holding a metallic bat made of scraps, worn of usage with blurred writings and the Wolfpack’s insignia drawn on different angles including the signage on the 104th’s ships, Plo’s Bros.
You watch his wrist turn and swing the bat lightly, testing it with a firm grip at the hilt.
“When in training…” He began, pausing dramatically like the true, theatrical Baran Do Sage that he is apart from being a Master Jedi. “... the only failure is not to learn from your defeats.”
Before you could ask, you see him turn, grasp the hilt of the bat with both hands, swing as one refurbished datapad flew over his head and met the bat with such precision that it was out in the vastness of space in less than a second.
“Nice shot, General.”
Your eyes were drawn promptly to Boost who offered a cheerful greeting and a wink, tossing another broken datapad in his hand ready to putt. Comet and Warthog beside him holding a singular digit of 1 and 0 in solidarity, while Sinker rummaged through the box of unusable datapads you’ve carried.
Plo turns to you and extends his hand, guiding and insisting you take the plunge.
“Your turn, sweetness.” You hear Sinker from behind you, ushering you towards their beloved General who then welcomed you with a rather secure hold as he positioned himself behind.
You feel the warmth of his palm enveloping the back of your hand in contrast to the stannic bat that latched on your grip. He guides your other hand to firmly take hold before leaning over your shoulder.
“Remember, my dear, you always pass failure on your way to success.”
With that, Plo steps a mindful distance and turns to Boost with a nod. “Consider this your official initiation to the 104th.”
And right before the turn of events fruition, you hear yet another voice approaching.
“Ah, Commander Wolffe. How good of you to join us.” Says Plo Koon.
“General. Boys.” Wolffe replies in his stern and gruff note. “You do realize that I have to file a report on this.”
In fear, you turn to Plo whose brow creases were far from being tensed let alone bothered. He turns to Wolffe and motions for Boost to ready his aim.
Wolffe sighs in both an exasperated and amused manner, arms tucked behind his back as he turns heel and bid farewell. “You best make that shot or you’re off this ship, miss.”
“You heard the commander. I believe in you, little one. Make your mark.”
And indeed you have —with a newfound determination and a steady grip, you’ve allowed yourself to not only trust in the Force, your new comrades, your new General, and your new role, but have also found it within you to trust the most important aspect of existence;
♥̷ ̷Y̷ ̷O̷ ̷U̷ ̷R̷ ̷S̷ ̷E̷ ̷L̷ ̷F̷ ̷♥̷
Welcome aboard the Triumphant, little love ♥ Where PloHours and 104th Foolishness is operational 24/7. I hope you enjoy this and that this was is at least a little close to your ask because oh-my-god, did I have to Google so much meaning equivalents of ‘timid’.

All About Materials for Printed Circuit Boards USA
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) in the US are mostly a flat laminated composite. PCB manufacturers use non-conductive substrate materials along with layers of copper circuitry on the external surfaces and buried in internal layers.
Printed circuit boards may be simple, with one or two layers of copper on the substrate, or complex, such as in high density applications, with more than fifty layers. Manufacturers use a flat composite surface, as this is ideal for mounting components that are ultimately attached to the copper layer by soldering. The copper traces interconnect the components electrically.
Basic Components and Materials of a Standard PCB
A standard PCB usually has six basic components:
Prepregs
Laminates
Copper Foil
Soldermask
Silk Screen
Surface Finish
Prepreg is made from a thin fabric of glass and coated with resin. Manufacturers cure the resin in special treaters. The glass fabric forms the basic mechanical support for holding the resin in place. The resin can be of various materials, like FR-4 epoxy, Teflon, Polyimide, and others. Initially, the resin is in a liquid form when coated onto the glass fabric. The combination moves through the treater, and the epoxy begins to dry as it travels through the oven section. Once it exits the treater, the epoxy is dry to touch.
When exposed to higher temperatures, usually above 300 °F, the resin in the prepreg begins to soften and melt. The resin soon reaches its thermosetting point, where it rehardens to become rigid again and very strong. Manufacturers use prepreg sheets to build the second component of a PCB — the laminate.
When laminated together with heat and pressure, sheets of prepreg and copper foil form the copper clad laminates for PCBs. Once the resin hardens, these PCB laminates with copper foil on both sides establish the basic structure of which PCB manufacturers make printed circuit boards.
To produce the circuitry on the laminate surface, the PCB fabricator must image and etch away the unwanted copper from the copper foil. These copper circuits create the tracks or conductors on the internal and external layers of the board. Once the fabricator images and etches each internal layer to constitute the circuits, they laminate them together using the prepreg.
Solder Mask is another epoxy coating on the board to cover the copper tracks on its outer layers. The coating protects the copper tracks on the external layers from oxidizing and corroding over time. As the internal circuitry remains buried within layers of prepreg, they do not need additional protection. Copper pads, where components will be soldered, are not covered by the soldermask.
Silk screen or nomenclature, forms the lettering on the PCB surface showing component numbers, their location, and their orientation. They can also show additional mounting information or handling precautions.
Besides the common green and white colors for the solder mask and silkscreen, manufacturers often use other colors also, in consultation with their customers.
Surface finish protects the copper pads left exposed by the soldermask. Fabricators use various types of surface finishes such as silver, tin/lead solder, lead-free solder, gold, nickel and others. Apart from protecting the exposed copper pads, surface finishes also provide a surface suitable for good solderability.
Selecting Materials for Printed Circuit Boards
Printed circuit board manufacturers offer a variety of materials for making the substrates and other components of PCBs. PCB designers select materials depending on the application requirements. Different material choices provide the PCB with varying qualities, facilitating the optimum performance for specific applications.
Designers make a choice of materials depending on:
Electrical performance — high voltage, high speed, high frequency
Mechanical performance — rigidity, flexibility, flame retardant
Thermal performance — ability to survive high temperatures, good thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion
Regulatory/Governmental requirements — WEEE, RoHS, UL
For instance, a common popular consideration is complying with UL or Underwriters Laboratories requirements for flame retardation characteristics. Many electronic devices come with a UL rating to show that in the event of the device catching fire, the circuit board will retard the flames and will self-extinguish. This is a critical consideration for several types of consumer and other electronic equipment.
Resins and glass cloth fabrics that make up the laminates, must offer distinct insulating capabilities. Designers use different dielectric materials offering distinctive electrical and thermal characteristics for determining which laminate will best suit a PCB design for a specific application.
When making a material selection for their design, designers must consider various performance features. Most important among these are:
Dielectric Constant and Loss Factor — key electrical factors essential for high-speed performance and signal integrity.
High Glass Transition Temperature — capability to withstand high temperatures during assembly and field operation.
Flame Retardation — for UL qualification
Thermal Conductivity and Coefficient of Thermal Expansion — capability to perform in harsh service environments
Mechanical Strength and Dimensional Stability — mechanical attributes like shear and tensile strength when the PCB is in service, changes in dimension when manufacturing, undergoing thermal cycles during assembly, or when exposed to humidity.
Some Popular Materials for PCBs
FR-4 Prepreg and Laminates
FR-4 is the most popular PCB substrate material and is fire-retardant. The material has good thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties, along with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio as necessary for electronic applications. These are also one of the lowest cost PCB materials available.
Among printed circuit board manufacturers, FR-4 is a popular material for laminates and prepreg made from glass cloth and epoxy resins, for PCBs with low layer counts up to 14 layers. To improve its performance manufacturers often blend the epoxy resin with additives. This significantly improves its electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties, along with its ability to retard flames. Manufacturers use FR-4 laminates and prepregs as they are versatile, adaptable, and offer predictable yields.
Polyimide Prepreg and Laminates
For higher temperature performance compared to FR-4 materials, manufacturers use Polyimide laminates. Costing more than FR-4 materials, Polyimide materials offer better electrical performance, improved capacity to survive in higher temperature and harsh environments. With lower expansion characteristics, Polyimide materials are more stable during thermal cycling. Polyimide is more suitable for higher layer count PCBs.
Teflon Prepreg and Laminates
Bonding materials and laminates made of Teflon offer superior electrical properties, making them suitable for high-speed applications. Although more expensive than Polyimide materials are, Teflon offers designers better signal integrity in their designs. Printed circuit board manufacturers can enhance the characteristics of Teflon with special fillers and additives. Working with Teflon for PCBs requires specialized equipment and processing techniques.
Conclusion
Careful selection of materials for laminates and prepreg is necessary to ensure the Printed Circuit Board has the necessary electrical, dielectric, mechanical, and thermal properties for the end application.

A Brief Study on Cladding Installation and Their Benefits
Wondering why people invest in commercial cladding services? The protective layer added to the exteriors of a building is responsible for protecting the outer layers of the structure from a host of external factors. The defensive layer is made from panels or otherwise known as boards that are fixed to the exteriors of a building.
Wondering if aesthetics is the reason why people invest in commercial cladding installers? The answer is no. It’s a critical component responsible for shielding a building from different types of environmental impacts.
You will not believe this but cladding installation in Sydney can significantly alter the functionality and form of a building.
Insights into Commercial Cladding Installations Although there are various types of materials that commercial cladding installers use, owners are always recommended to pick a material which offers cost-efficiency, durability and along with that adds to the look and feel of the structure. The materials used for cladding installation Sydney generally include:
Metal
Wood
Vinyl
All the materials are proven for their safety and durability against different types of weather elements. Cladding installation adds an insulation layer to a building as a result of which the interiors of a structure can remain relatively cool or warm.
A lot of commercial building owners are seen shifting to cladding installations from normal brick and paint options because cladding is relatively easier to maintain and generally lasts longer than other materials in use. A vast majority of commercial cladding installers would say that cladding is a far more simplistic and straightforward approach requiring only an occasional wash to look clean and fresh. They are also an aesthetically impressive choice to add to the beauty of a building.

From Cold Walls to Cozy Spaces: Insulation Transformation!
Many Nepalese homeowners consider "insulation" to be an afterthought or a luxury. However, you already know that it's more of a need than a choice if you've ever lived in a home with hot rooms in the summer and frigid walls in the winter.
This is the story of how a house with freezing walls turned into a comfortable, energy-efficient, and cozy home—all thanks to proper insulation. Whether you're planning a new build or thinking of renovating your existing house, this transformation journey might just be the inspiration you need.
Life Before Insulation: A House That Couldn’t Breathe
When we moved into our newly built house in the Kathmandu Valley, it looked perfect—spacious, modern, and well-lit. But once winter hit, reality struck:
Walls felt like ice, especially in bedrooms with external exposure.
Condensation formed on windows and walls every morning.
Even after running room heaters for hours, the house never really felt warm.
In summer, the heat was trapped inside, turning rooms into ovens by midday.
We thought this was just how houses in Nepal worked. However, we discovered the missing component—thermal insulation—after consulting with friends and conducting some study.
The pivotal moment: choosing to insulate
We were dubious at first. Was the money spent on insulating really worth it?
However, when taking into account:
Growing energy costs
Persistent discomfort
Moisture-induced wall deterioration
We came to the conclusion that change was needed.
We reached out to a local building expert, who explained how retrofitting insulation could still be done—even after the house was built.
What We Did: The Insulation Makeover
Step 1: Wall Insulation
We added internal insulation using a combination of:
XPS (extruded polystyrene) boards, which offer high thermal resistance
Aluminum reflective foil, to reduce radiant heat
A thin layer of gypsum board to finish the look
This added only about 2–3 inches to our internal walls but made a huge difference in thermal comfort.
Step 2: Roof Insulation

Since the roof is where the majority of heat escapes, we added:
Insulation made of PU foam beneath the concrete slab
Below it is a fake ceiling for cosmetic purposes and as an extra air barrier.
This significantly reduced the summer heat, particularly on the upper floor.
Step 3: Sealing Doors and Windows

We filled up the gaps around doors and frames and replaced single-pane windows with double-panes. This helps keep indoor temperatures higher for longer periods of time while lowering noise and drafts.
The Findings: No More Cold
The effect was nearly instantaneous:
Consistent Indoor Temperatures
As a result, rooms remained 5–8°C warmer in the winter and colder in the summer without using fans or heaters excessively.
Energy Savings
We reduced our electricity bills by 30–40%, thanks to minimized heater and fan usage.
Better Sleep and Comfort
No more freezing beds or overheating bedrooms. Every room now felt cozy and livable, no matter the season.
Reduced Moisture & Mold
No more morning condensation or peeling paint. Walls stayed dry, and the air felt cleaner.
Why Wall Insulation Is Key in Nepal
Nepal experiences a wide range of temperatures from chilly Himalayan winters to hot Terai summers. Yet most homes are built with single-layer brick walls and concrete roofs, offering almost no thermal protection.
Insulation bridges this gap.
Types of Wall Insulation Suitable for Nepal:
EPS/XPS Foam Boards: Lightweight and effective for internal/external walls.
Mineral Wool: Offers both thermal and sound insulation.
PU Foam Panels: Great for roofs or external wall cladding.
Reflective Foils: Ideal for attic spaces or under-roof layers.
Common Myths About Insulation
Myth
Reality
"Insulation is only for cold climates."
Insulation keeps homes cooler in summer, too.
"It’s too expensive."
It's a one-time investment that saves you money every month.
"You can’t insulate an already built house."
Retrofitting is totally possible with the right materials.
"It reduces room space."
Interior insulation takes just 2–3 inches of space—worth the comfort.
DIY vs. Professional Installation
If you're experienced, you can handle minor insulation upgrades yourself (like attic foil or foam sheets behind cabinets). But for whole-wall and roof insulation, hiring the best construction company is recommended for long-term performance and safety.
Conclusion: Comfort Is a Choice—Choose It Wisely
Insulation may not be visible in the final design of your home, but its impact is felt every single day. Our journey from cold walls to cozy spaces showed us that thermal comfort is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.
If you're building a new home in Nepal or renovating an old one, don’t overlook cavity wall insulation. It's the secret ingredient to transforming your home into a place that feels just right, all year round.

Best Roof Insulation

Roof insulation also helps reduce condensation, which can lead to damp, mould and even damage to your property. The best insulation for a roof depends on various factors such as the roof type, budget, and desired thermal performance. Different insulation materials have varying levels of thermal performance, cost, and environmental impact. It’s important to evaluate each option based on factors such as fire resistance, moisture resistance, and ease of installation - insulation installer brisbane.
Cellulose insulation is made from recycled paper products and is a more eco-friendly option for roof insulation. Fiberglass insulation is made from tiny fibers of glass and is a popular choice for roof insulation due to its low cost and effectiveness in reducing heat loss. One of the crucial aspects to consider when evaluating roof insulation is its R-value; the ability to resist heat flow. A higher R-value indicates better insulation properties, which is particularly important during winter when reducing heat loss from the property is vital. Roof insulation plays a crucial role in maintaining the indoor temperature, regardless of the external elements - brisbane roof insulation.
Protect your garage, external walls, attic, and basement initially, as these areas are most vulnerable to temperature change, especially with all the various types of roof insulation out there. They are often used in conjunction with traditional roof insulation for climates that receive both hot summers and cold winters. Consider factors such as R-value, moisture resistance, and ease of installation when making your selection. The presence of moisture can be indicated by water stains on the ceiling or walls, peeling paint, or the presence of moldy odors. Keep in mind that these prices are subject to change, and while they may seem high, investing in insulation pays off through energy savings and increased comfort. These lightweight boards are easy to install and are compatible with a wide range of cladding and roofing materials, including metal roof insulation, brick, stone, wood, vinyl, and asphalt shingles. Acoustic Materials for Luxury Residential Interiors… Here is the list!
Luxury isn’t just about marble floors, designer lighting, and imported furniture anymore. Today, it's also about the sound of luxury — or rather, the absence of noise. With urban homes increasingly surrounded by honking traffic, buzzing electronics, and lively neighbors, soundproofing and acoustic enhancement have quietly become the new heroes of high-end interior design.
Enter Acoustic Materials — the unsung yet powerful elements of any sophisticated residential space. Whether it’s a home theater, a meditative reading room, or a sleek penthouse living area, acoustic solutions ensure tranquility, enhance entertainment experiences, and reflect a commitment to comfort that only true luxury provides.
In this blog, we dive deep into the world of Acoustic Materials for luxury residences. From high-performance Acoustic Panels to stylish Acoustic Boards, we bring you the definitive list that design-conscious homeowners and architects are embracing.
Why Acoustic Design Matters in Luxury Homes?
Picture a lavish penthouse with panoramic city views, but every time you try to enjoy your morning coffee, the noise from nearby traffic interrupts the serenity. Or a state-of-the-art home theater where external sounds ruin the immersive experience. In such scenarios, luxury feels incomplete.
This is where Acoustic Treatment comes in — not just as a functional need but also as a statement of refined living. Incorporating Acoustic Materials not only addresses noise issues but also adds texture, depth, and design flexibility to interiors. These materials enhance both the sound quality within a room and shield it from unwanted outside noise.
Let’s explore the best-in-class Acoustic Materials that can elevate your home to a sanctuary of sound and style.
1. Acoustic Panels: Function Meets Aesthetics
Acoustic Panels are probably the most popular choice in luxury interior acoustics. Available in a range of textures, patterns, and colors, these panels are often the first line of defense against reverberation and echo.
Whether installed on walls or ceilings, Acoustic Panels absorb sound waves, reducing ambient noise and making conversations clearer. In home theaters, music rooms, or even large open-plan living areas, they create a richer, more immersive experience.
For design lovers, the bonus is that these panels can be custom-designed to match your home’s interior theme — be it modern minimalist, art deco, or contemporary.
2. Acoustic Boards: Stylish, Sustainable, Soundproof
While similar in function to panels, Acoustic Boards offer added thickness and often better performance in terms of both absorption and insulation. These boards can be layered behind decorative finishes or used as wall cladding, making them an ideal choice for spaces that demand high acoustic control — like bedrooms and studies.
Today’s Acoustic Boards are also eco-conscious. Made from materials like wood wool, recycled PET, and organic fibers, they cater to the sustainability goals of environmentally aware homeowners without compromising on performance or style.
3. Acoustic Sheets: The Hidden Power Players
For those who want powerful soundproofing without visual intrusion, Acoustic Sheets are the go-to solution. These flexible, dense sheets are typically used behind drywall, under flooring, or within ceiling systems. Think of them as the silent guardian of your peaceful space.
Despite being mostly invisible post-installation, Acoustic Sheets are incredibly effective at reducing both airborne and structure-borne noise. They are particularly useful in high-rise residences where sound can travel through building frameworks.
Perfect for retrofitting older luxury homes or adding discreet sound barriers during renovations, Acoustic Sheets prove that not all high-performance design elements need to be seen to be appreciated.
4. Textured Wall Panels with Acoustic Treatment
A rising trend in residential luxury design is textured wall panels that double as Acoustic Treatments. These decorative panels bring an extra layer of sound absorption and can be crafted in rich materials like felt, suede, leather, or fabric-wrapped composite.
In living rooms and lounge areas, they not only enhance sound clarity but also add visual drama. Combine these with recessed lighting and you’ve got an Instagram-worthy space that performs as beautifully as it looks.
5. Ceiling Clouds and Baffles
Luxury home ceilings often go underutilized when it comes to acoustic design. Ceiling-mounted solutions like clouds and baffles — made of Acoustic Panels or Acoustic Boards — are changing that narrative.
These floating or suspended elements are particularly effective in double-height spaces and open-plan layouts. Aside from cutting down echo, they add architectural interest and dimension to the ceilings. Choose sculptural or geometric designs to amplify the luxe appeal.
6. Acoustic Art and Custom Installations
For clients who don’t want to compromise on design at all, customized Acoustic Panels in the form of art pieces are an emerging favorite. Think abstract patterns, printed panels, or laser-cut woodwork mounted over Acoustic Sheets — turning sound absorption into a statement piece.
Luxury is personal, and so is sound. Bespoke Acoustic Treatment allows homeowners to craft environments that reflect their aesthetic values while offering unparalleled comfort and functionality.

Naya reform - part whaever...
Fixing the external ranma amado (ventilation shutters) is necessary as the handmade wire nails were of steel, and they have rusted. With their weathering, half have shed their boards.
With a few spare amado from the minka, we cut one up, made a nail punch from an old fat nail, and recovered cladding and support stripping to remake and repair all the needed amado.
We now need to stain them, and we can refit as needed...

"Welcome to the Theatre": Diary of a Broadway Baby
Real Women Have Curves
April 23, 2025 | Broadway | James Earl Jones Theatre | Evening | Musical | Original | 2H 20M
The initial announcement of this musical had me skeptical. With a dated title harkening back to a past feminist era, I wasn't sure how well a body positivity musical would land if that was the tone. I'm delighted to report that while finding joy and acceptance in oneself is a secondary message, the full breadth of the story encompasses so much more. With a touching book, a collection of enjoyable songs, and stellar performances across the board, this show probably makes it as my favorite new musical of the season (granted, the bar on that one is...well, anyway...)
At eighteen, Ana Garcia is the only member of her LA-based family to have U.S. citizenship. Set in the early 80s, her older sister Estela operates a dressmaking factory with help from their mother, and has just accepted a massive order with a tight deadline. To make it, she enlists Ana, who is less than enthusiastic. Ana has higher aspirations and is working up the courage to tell her family she got into a prestigious writing program across the country on full scholarship. Mother Carmen is a sympathetic figure who nevertheless embodies many of the unsympathetic immigrant mother characteristics we all know. Played wonderfully by Justina Machado, It's clear she loves her daughters dearly, but her frequent comments on their weight and their ungratefulness weigh heavy, no pun intended. As the story progresses, tensions and fear over immigration crackdowns hover over the narrative as Ana learns to respect the women in the factory, embarks on a sweet puppy love romance, and finds her own wings.
A well-balanced musical, the show combines a typical coming-of-age narrative with sociopolitical commentary that never preaches like other shows. A fine example of show-don't-tell, this musical touches on the resilience of working immigrants, the complicated mother-daughter relationship, and finding acceptance in both the internal and external self. The titular song, a raucous explosion of self-love in which the factory women gleefully strip down to their underwear and revel in this newfound acceptance, received an equally raucous standing ovation. They had me at (mostly) middle-aged women dancing around scantily clad. This plus a hysterical ode to menopause really caters to me specifically. And I just love every single one of the factory women. Always a fun surprise to see Jennifer Sanchez present, still high-kicking as always. And there's even some butch representation. Excellent costume design, and decent artistic projection work. Sound design is not great, but there are maybe two shows all season that have actually gotten the mixing right.
The show will be the final production to open this season, and it's the one in the most perilous financial position leading up to Tony nominations. I strongly recommend seeing this while you can to support a heartwarming musical. The love and support from the audience is palpable, and that's a wonderful thing to share as well.
Verdict: Why I Love the Theatre
A Note on Ratings
As someone whose only "curves" are in the unnatural angles of my kneecaps, I still understand the point being made with the admittedly outdated title, and don't feel the need to get worked up over being inadvertently excluded in the "real women" category here. I know that's not what they mean, and am far more mature than I was at nineteen when something like this would might have bothered me more. I believe the positive word-of-mouth has largely overtaken any early discourse over the title, and I'm not mad about it.

Why Composite Timber Is the Perfect Choice for Decking, Fencing, and Cladding?
While designing outdoor areas or decorating the exterior of your home, material selection is of importance. Composite timber has proven to be a sustainable and efficient alternative to classic wood, and for decking, fencing, and cladding, it presents several advantages. By fusing the organic style of timber with contemporary engineering, timber is becoming increasingly popular due to its durability, reduced maintenance, and environmental quality. Find out why composite timber is the perfect option for these uses.
What Composite Timber Makes Perfect for Decking?
Decking is perhaps the most popular application of composite timber, and it's not difficult to understand why.
Durability: Timber is made to endure extreme weather conditions without cracking, warping, or splintering. It resists moisture, UV, and bugs, making it ideal for external use.
Low Maintenance: As opposed to wood decking that has to be sanded, stained, or sealed, timber can be occasionally washed with soap and water.
Slip Resistance: Most composite boards have textured finishes that ensure a good grip, making them safe to walk on even in wet conditions.
Aesthetic Appeal: Timber replicates the natural appearance of wood but has numerous colors and finishes to suit any style.
Why Composite Timber Is Ideal for Fencing?
Fencing not only marks your property but also provides privacy and security. Timber has a number of benefits over conventional fencing materials:
Weather Resistance: Composite fences are extremely weather-resistant to rain, wind, and harsh temperatures. They will not rot or fade with time.
Eco-Friendly Alternative: Composed of recycled wood fibers and plastics, composite wood is a green option that minimises deforestation.
Low Maintenance: Unlike wooden fences that need to be repainted or stained frequently, composite fences look new with little effort.
Sleek Designs: With multiple colors and textures to choose from, composite fencing can fit any architectural design while keeping up with a stylish and modern appearance.
For property owners who want robust and aesthetically pleasing fencing, timber is a perfect option.
How Composite Timber Benefits Cladding?
Cladding has both functional and cosmetic functions in protecting buildings from weather conditions and enhancing their appearance. Timber stands out in this use:
Thermal Efficiency: Composite cladding offers insulation that controls indoor temperatures, cutting energy bills.
Moisture Resistance: Its non-porous finish repels water from being absorbed, eliminating the danger of mold or structural damage.
Long-Term Durability: Composite cladding does not fade, crack, or get infested with insects, keeping it looking fabulous for decades.
Contemporary Aesthetics: Owing to the numerous finishes that one can choose from, ranging from smooth to embossed, composite cladding imparts a touch of modernity to any edifice.
For both residential and commercial buildings, timber cladding blends aesthetics with functionality.
Why Timber Is a Sustainable Option?
Sustainability is one of the main drivers for the popularity of composite timber:
Recycled Content: Composite products are manufactured from recycled wood fibers and plastics, which decreases landfill waste.
Durability: Its longer lifespan decreases the frequency of replacements, minimising environmental impact.
No Toxic Chemicals: Unlike treated wood with potentially toxic chemicals, timber is safe and environmentally friendly.
By choosing timber for decking, fencing, or cladding, you’re contributing to a greener planet without compromising on quality.
Why Choose Composite Timber?
Whether you are upgrading your deck, installing new fencing, or adding cladding to your home’s exterior, composite timber offers unmatched benefits. Its durability ensures long-term performance in outdoor environments while requiring minimal maintenance. The extensive variety of designs enables you to obtain the appearance of natural wood without its limitations. Moreover, its earth-friendly makeup makes it the right option for eco-friendly living. Homeowners looking for functionality without compromising style or environmental friendliness find that composite timber is certainly the ideal option!

Rabbit sheds
Rabbit Sheds

With a little bit of adjustment an average garden shed can be turned into luxury outdoor rabbit accommodation. Surprisingly, in terms of square feet, sheds often work out cheaper than the traditional Rabbit shed hutch and they have many benefits.
Benefits a Rabbit Shed
Size - Sheds are bigger than hutches, and bigger is better when it comes to rabbit accommodation. A sheds provides plenty of room for toys and activities; the height allows for boxes and shelves for your rabbit to hop on and off.
Easy to adapt - Although some owners go all out creating sheds with insulation, heating and lighting most sheds need very little adaption to make good rabbit houses. In many ways they are already like giant hutches.
Easy to find - Finding a large rabbit hutch can be difficult, particularly if you don't want to buy online and pay expensive postage fees. Sheds are much easier to obtain as they are available in most local gardening and DIY stores. You can also pick them up second hand.
Walk-In - Sheds are not just great for bunnies, they are good for owners too. Fed up of getting rained on when you want to talk to your rabbits? With a shed you can sit inside the shelter with them. Being able to sit down and interact with your rabbits will help you build a closer relationship.
What to look for in a shed
Although almost all sheds can be adapted for rabbits there are a few points to consider that might influence your choice.
Size - Even a small 6'x4' shed is a nice size for rabbits. Before you go too large it is worth checking with your council is there are any restrictions on the size of the shed you are allowed in your garden.
Construction - Several different types of cladding (the wood covering the walls) is used on sheds. Tongue and groove and shiplap cladding are cut so they slot together to giving a smooth finish to the interior walls. Overlap cladding means the boards are fitted so each board slightly overlaps the one below - like tiles on a house roof. This leaves unprotected edges inside the shed which are easy for a rabbit to get its teeth around and chew so will need lining with boards. This type of construction is cheaper but less sturdy. Have a look at sheds in your local shops to get a feel for the differences.
Style - Depending on your plans the type of shed may not make much difference but it is worth noting where the doors and windows are in relation to where you want to position your shed. If you plan to attach a run then consider which side of the shed it would be attached to and where the eaves are. Think about your plans for ventilation and light - if there are windows do they open? If there are no windows you will need to do more adaptations (either adding a mesh door or a run) to give your rabbits access to light.
Adapting a Shed for Rabbit

Windows
There are several options for windows:
Permanently exchange glazing for mesh - this provides plenty of ventilation but you will need to provide a shelter inside the shed for cold weather. You can also create covers for the windows to suit the season such as fly screen for summer and heavy duty tarp to increase heat retention in winter.
Add a secondary mesh screen - If your shed has opening windows then you can open them in hot weather for extra ventilation and fit a secondary mesh screen behind or over them for security (to prevent your rabbit getting out or anything getting in).
If you have no opening windows and want to keep the glazing you will need to provide alternative ventilation particularly in summer when sun shining through windows can make the temperature rise inside.
Walls
If your shed has overlap cladding you may need to protect it from rabbit teeth by lining the walls. This is easily done by screwing boards to the upright battens. You only need to go as high as your rabbit can reach. The same technique can be used to insulate the shed walls. Fill the gap created between the external cladding and the boards with insulating material such as polystyrene or house insulation - see insulating sheds. If you are not fitting boarding to the walls then you may want to protect the corners of the upright battens in the shed either with scrap pieces of wood nailed on or corner protectors sold for doorframes.
Floor

Fitting lino over the shed floor will make cleaning much easier and protect the wood from litter tray accidents. Wooden battens around the edges will stop your rabbit digging up the corners. Small pieces of lino can often be obtained cheaply from the ends of rolls if you ask in store.
Shelf
You can maximise your use of space by adding a shelf. Rabbits like to sit up high and will particularly like access to look out windows. You can buy readymade shelves or build your own. Depending on the height of the shelf you may need to add a ramp or a box as a step up and down. You could also add a high shelf for storing food and equipment.
Door

Your shed door will need a suitable lock for security. A bolt will prevent access from animals and a padlock can be added to prevent human intruders.
Because your Rabbit shed will be on floor level, you may want to consider a low barrier that you can step over but will stop your rabbits immediately running out when you open the door.
An internal screen door is a useful addition to a rabbit shed. This is a door made of mesh that fits inside the solid door, allowing you to open the main door for ventilation whilst keeping your rabbits securely contained. A simple wooden frame, covered in mesh is all you need. Another alternative is a stable door, with a mesh screen just covering the top section.
An internal mesh door (left) means the main door can be left open for extra lightand ventilation during the day or in warm weather.
Exercise Space

Although a shed is a great space, unless it's very large, your rabbits will still need access to a run. You can use a standard rabbit run but a full height avairy is a great option.
Cat flap
A good way to link the shed with the exercise space is by fixing the run to the side of your shed with L-shape brackets and then adding a cat flap or bunny sized door between.
