There were so many things he could say. He had wanted to use the magatama to find a gateway into the mind of Trucy Wright ever since he first had his hands on it. It hurt to know that he found something that wasn’t at all unfamiliar to Miles. Trucy was a master of disguise, after all. Even those who needed it the most were hopeless in the company of Miles Edgeworth, a man who was shutting down due to nothing but the bittersweet taste of a memory that hit too close to his heart and reflected in the gleam of Trucy’s young eyes. I should stop trying to be something I’m not.
