10 years on and it’s still wild to me some of the shit my high school did to prepare us for the Real World. The history department explicitly graded us easily for our final year, because they wanted us to get good grades, but also had a 50% per day late penalty, to simulate what uni would definitely totally be like. I also heard our year had such bad ATAR scores that they started encouraging the next year’s students to drop out in favour of tafe.
