Girls Like You ; seven
(prev/next) masterlist

The next morning, she goes about her regular routine.
Wake up at 5:30. Start breakfast. Get ready. Wake Justin up by 6:45. Put his bag together. Lay out his school uniform on the couch so he can change quickly after lunch. Check his bag again. Sit him down for breakfast. Out the door by 7:30. Pick up Chengcheng and Zhengting. Make sure they eat. Class by 8:45.
She card her fingers through Justin’s hair as he eats his sandwich.
“I hear that your next evaluation is coming up soon. Work hard so you can stay in A Class, okay?” she smiles.
“I’m going to be in A Class no matter what,” he says, mouth full of food.
“You don’t know that.”
He nods his head. “MC Jin said he won’t drop me.”
“Well why not?” his sister crosses her arms. Justin shrugs and finishes the rest of his food. “Okay, well…go brush and we’ll leave.”
They find themselves at the door of Zhengting and Chengcheng’s dorm room a little while later. She knocks three times and then the door swings open.
“Good morning!” Zhengting beams, throwing her into a tight hug.
“What is so good about it?” Chengcheng groans, still a bit disheveled. The girl laughs and starts to straighten out his uniform. He smiles at her. “Oh. Maybe there’s one good thing about the morning.”
Justin scoffs, “Stop flirting with my sister. It’s gross.”
“Hey. I’m going to be your brother in law one of these days. Don’t talk to me like that,” Chengcheng snaps.
She rolls her eyes. “Shut up and eat your sandwich.” Chengcheng smiles down at her once more then unwraps his breakfast to eat.
Just as they’re about to leave to the rap room, the door across the hall opens. They don’t pay much mind to it until they hear “Oh! YN!”
She looks up and sees Yanjun and Zhangjing. “Yanjun, it’s too early for you to flirt with me,” she says as they continue to walk.
“I’m not here to flirt,” he scoffs, jogging up next to her. “What do I look like?”
“You don’t want her to answer that,” Zhangjing smirks, causing the girl to laugh as well.
“What can I help you boys with this morning?” she asks.
Yanjun shakes his head. “Just wanted to walk next to you.”
“Oh,” she replies, her eyes flicking up to Zhengting. He’s already looking at her, a worried look on his face.
He clears his throat, “YN. You said you wanted to talk to MC Jin right? Let’s do that before class starts.” He wrap his arm around her waist and smiles towards the others. “Okay, see you two later.”
The group quickly walks away, leaving Yanjun and Zhangjing in the middle of the hall by themselves.
“Did you see that?” Yanjun says.
“See you miserably get turned down again?” Zhangjing teases.
He shakes his head. “No. Zhengting.”
“Didn’t pay attention,” Zhangjing replies as he pulls open the door to the cafeteria.
“He totally likes her,” Yanjun laughs. Zhangjing gives him a weird look. “He got possesive of her. If she wanted to leave, he could’ve just taken her away but he got all extra with it and had to hold her like they were a couple.”
“Maybe they’re just close,” the shorter one shrugs as they move through the line.
“No. The way he looks at her in dance is definitely loving. He always takes her to the side for them to dance together and he’s really touchy towards her,” he explains. “But it’s clear to anyone paying attention that she doesn’t like him that way.”
“Why does that matter to us again?” Zhangjing sighs, putting some food on his plate.
“Because if he likes her as much as I think he does, it could hinder with Xukun’s friendship towards her.”
“What about me?” a voice asks, cutting in between the two to snag an apple.
“You know Zhengting?” Yanjun asks.
“Fairy boy? Yeah,” he replies, grabbing a juice box and moving towards the end of the line.
“He likes YN,” Yanjun bluntly says.
“Oh yeah. Definitely. He’s way too touchy with her,” Xukun replies.
“They were like childhood best friends,” Zhangjing explains. “Maybe that’s why they’re close.”
Xukun shrugs, “Not my problem.”
“It could be. He could hinder your friendship with the girl,” Yanjun says.
Xukun only shrugs again. “It’s a bridge we’ll cross when we get there.” Just then, his phone rings with a notification. He pulls it out and smiles. “Speaking of the devil.”

QOTC: what’s the most creative way you’ve ever cheated on a test?
my answer: during math tests, my friends and i would trade calculators when the teacher wasn’t looking (we had those fancy calculators) and find the answers.
