To go with my last post of Doug Coombs, I would imagine he'd be proud to know this pair of his skis, continued on many adventures. ⠀ I don't recall exactly why, but in early winter, Doug had stashed these skis, along with boots and poles in some bushes in the Tetons. He had planned on recovering them shortly thereafter, but a huge storm buried the cache, where it then sat under 15' of snow all winter. Him and I went for a ski tour later that year and dug for a solid 30 minutes, looking for the stash, but with no luck. We skied together for a couple of weeks later that winter in La Grave, and joked about how long the gear had sat under the snow. A week later, the accident. ⠀ During an attempt to ski the Grand that spring, I recalled Doug's gear stash, did a little digging in the location he had shown me, and sure enough, there it was. I was honored to bring these boards on many adventures for the following few years, then pass them along to Doug's good friend, David Gonzales.
