Today's polish is very sparkle mermaid princess in the best of ways. The shimmer particle in this one was on the larger side and it made the polish look very sparkly. I especially loved the green shift. It looked surprisingly interesting matte too. This is Rain-bows from Clionadh Cosmetics.

Makeup review for products holding up through a sloppy bj:

JD glow eyeshadow primer: 9/10

Clionadh cosmetics dragon fruit palette: 8/10

Wet n wild highlighting powder: 2/10

ABA tinted brow gel: 10/10 but I bought it before the invasion of Ukraine. Would not buy again

So I started this blog in the 2010's and a lot of the blogs and creators I found inspo from are now defunct. One that is still around is LookBook.nu, a site where people post their OOTDs and you can search by style or color.

Next, if anyone is trying to narrow down their style I would recommend going to Google images and looking up different styles of neckline, sleeves, skirts, pants, and shoes. That way you can learn the styles you are drawn to so when you are looking for clothing online you can type something like "bishop sleeve blouse" into google and find exactly what you're looking for.

These days I also get a lot of ideas from TikTok. Just search tags like "Alt fashion" "goth outfits" and whatnot. There are a lot of great creators that make content for how to develop your vibe. I can do a post on some of the ones I like at some point.

As far as brands that I think people who enjoy this blog might also like, I've broken it down into a few categories.

Jeffrey Campbell (I really love his boots. I have a few pairs)

Koi footwear (if you're plus size and have been looking for cool platform thigh high boots but can't find any that actually fit your thighs, their Redemption stretch boots are for you! I own a pair and they fit great I was so impressed. They also come in a mid-calf version)

La Moda (if you love platforms you'll love these)

Beauty

Nail polish: ILNP (my favorite), Fun Lacquer (second favorite for their magnetic polishes), Mooncat, Cirque Colors, Starrily

Fragrance: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, Demeter (their fragrances aren't known for being really long lasting but they do have a lot of interesting scents), and Sixteen92

Makeup: Clionadh Cosmetics, Terra Moons Cosmetics

The truth is I shop a lot at pretty typical places you might find at the mall like Old Navy (they've actually been putting out some interesting stuff this year), Target, Fashion Nova, Forever 21, and online Shein (unfortunately). It's not about where you shop its about the items themselves and what you pair them with.

And like I mentioned already the best option for me lately has been Tik Tok because you can easily search tons of content for things like "ethereal aesthetic" and they break it down on how to achieve that look. I love perfume and there are a lot of creators that make videos on really specific vibes for "how to smell like a forest witch" and whatnot. It's really fun to go down those rabbit holes and you'll learn about different brands and aesthetics.

Hey folks, I promised I would try to make a Twilight themed palette after the colourpop one seemed like a dud. This is my first draft (using what I have on hand. I got another order of eyeshadows coming in the moment). I didn’t do swatches of all the colors mostly because this is still a Work in Progress. Based on what I’ve seen missing from the Colourpop palette, I added some shade colors.

I wanted to point that the two swatches I did are the iridescent multichrome shades (video of the shifts to come later). The first one Phophorescent by Clionadh Cosmetics (square pan) shifts lime turquoise indigo violet. The second is Sublunar by Terra Moons which shifts hot pink green orange gold. You can see the orange-y gold for sure.

Definitely a blue is missing, (I can’t find the dang shade I wanted to use in my collection). And those matte shades need a little more fine tuning.

But anyway, please send feedback. I will be working with this some more before I list all the shade names and work on the other movies/books

I have used Runway and Penumbra so far and Penumbra is a very work appropriate duochrome. I will be wearing it a lot. Temptalia says that Event Horizon is 90% similar to Clionadh Kiln which is on the way to me. I look forward to swatching. The most exciting ones to me were Alloy and Forged. I look forward to using them.

Fresh claw paint, and we're getting shifty...color shifty, that is! This is Clionadh Cosmetics in Vaporwave, sold during the December 2022 Polish Pickup. This polish shifts from green to gold to pink to purple, with a nice glittery shimmer too! Today's polish is SO sparkly! My pictures didn't come anywhere close to capturing how glittery and shimmery this one is. I also thought it was cool that in some lighting the shimmer looked green and in others it looked orange. This is Paranormal Goo from Clionadh Cosmetics.
