Monsterfuckerween Day 6: Satyr Milo

Decided to do Dubwool characteristics instead of a normal goat mixture because it’s cute 😤💖 this ended up way fancier than I expected but I had a lot of fun with it! Even without the farm Milo’s harvesting instinct is still intact.

This one was a filler spot I made up, but consider it semi-dedicated to @simpsnsnails for our Milo simping conversation lol

I think someone has said something about this before but I'm going to also say it. If you ever did a tarot deck with your art, I would buy that shit so fast. I would love to see it Solivaga themed and how you slot the characters into the card. But I'd still buy it even if it wasn't Soli themed because I just really love your art. Now I'm gonna go stare at that Halloween art for the rest of the night.

For those that follow the Patreon and got to see the chapter 3 cover already, I can impart some fun facts: the chapter 3 cover is already based off of a tarot card (the three of swords, precisely), and from here on the chapter covers are all likely going to follow this theme so that I can actually make a tarot deck like I've been wanting to! And thank you for an eternity, to be honest if I did a tarot deck as stated above, there's no way it wouldn't be soli themed lol even if I included some of my other OCs, I'd probably just work them into a soli deck as thematic elements (like the Halloween pic of Elias had me borrowing some of Nakyl's design while I was trying to think of a cool spooky costume for him) Audun's a great candidate for some really illustrative tarot cards, given his loci design and his job.... aaaa. why can't I draw 100 things at once!!

My gorgeous new spider! She is a Caribena versicolor, or Antilles pink-toe, and she just molted into her full adult coloration a week ago.

Her name is Bean!

Bean had been living in the temporary housing I bought her in (at the PACNWRS expo a few weeks ago), because she was in pre-molt at the time and couldn't really be rehoused until after molting and recovery. That little cup wasn't great for visibility, so I couldn't get any nice pictures of her.

But now, her new exoskeleton is all hardened up and she was ready to go to her new home! It's a luxurious little mansion, a Tarantula Cribs Treehouse Large with both top and front opening doors (SO nice to have for maintenance and feeding), and she's got cork bark, silk leaves, and silk flowers to web up to her heart's content. There are some springtails in the soil to help clean up any waste.

Bean is currently 2 years old and nearly 3 inches in diagonal legspan. She is a confirmed female, so if we're lucky, she could live at least another decade and grow another 2-3 inches. The vendor, who raised her from slinghood, told me that she's the calmest C. versicolor she had ever met, and that Bean has been handled consistently since she was large enough to do so safely. Bean has never even threat posed, and when we're a little more comfortable with each other, I'll be taking her out sometimes and handling her as well (with all necessary safety precautions).

This whole situation started plaguing Dewdrop — in all the best ways, of course — about three months ago. The fire’s sin thought it strange how both Swiss and even Mountain, the traitorous bastard, would often refer to some of Dewdrop’s stranger habits as insect-like in nature. But now, he thinks, he understands where these analogies might be coming from. Here, in this exact moment, watching Copia prepare his needles, his materials, his medicine, his bare-ass delectable looking graspable goddamn delicious meaty fucking thighs— Well, Dewdrop very suddenly feels like an unsuspecting ant marching right towards that bright, warm sunbeam that seems innocent enough, and definitely not his sweet demise.

(Dewdrop idly realizes that without fail, he always walks into Copia’s bedchambers; fully aware of his beautiful demise waiting just behind the old mahogany doors. But, watching Copia roll the already short pant of his boxers up towards the crease of his crotch, more and more and more of his unholy skin being revealed with the scandalous energy of a Victorian woman revealing the slightest lick of her ankle, Dewdrop thinks, ‘what a fucking way to go’.)

“You still insist on being present for this, eh? Even though you have seen me dozens of time before.” Copia chuckles, drawing the thick liquid out of its container with a carefully prepared needle.

“You still insist on inviting me.” Dewdrop shrugged, adjusting in his insisted upon — rightful and deserved — place on the lush carpeted floor just before Copia’s feet.These aren’t accusations by any means, but there was always Dewdrop’s intimate familiarity with masking his own excitement with venomous words that held no malice at all; just adoration for the man above him, and sheer happiness at his permanent reservation by Copia’s side for times like these.
