I think it's especially shitty to up the price on the doll that people got to vote for.

Because if she doesn't sell well because she's too fucking expensive, then they won't do any more voting dolls, and if she does sell, then the rest of them will be just as expensive, if not worse.

So I've been collecting dolls for a bit now, I'm not good about updating about them but I did want to post about my newest addition, Rochelle! Got her in good condition, with most of her stuff - but there is a detail I want to ask about to other doll collectors! Specifically the bracelet she came with!

This isn't her default bracelet, I know that much - but I can't identify who it belongs to?

It looks like it has a floral print on it, with skulls(?) on either end before and after the "buckle" so I was assuming it's still Monster High - and maybe it is. But I combed through some likely suspects and no one had a brown bracelet on any of their outfits that I could tell, and I quickly felt overwhelmed.

Is there anyone out there who recognizes who this bracelet belongs to? I'd like to find out - it's almost like a cute little cinderella situation, and I think I'd like to hunt down the owner of the bracelet so they can be 'reunited' :3c

Edit: it's been figured out, the bracelet belongs to Skelita's Scaris doll!

More customs I did! The first is a Cerise Hood repaint. She's based off my Spider-Man OC. I originally wanted to make her a wedding dress since she's also based off the Mary Jane Wedding Day Barbie but I dunno. I really like her the way she is now tbh! Maybe as a secondary outfit. The second is my childhood Scaris Rochelle Goyle whom I did a lip repaint. I also cut her bangs! I probably need to find her another outfit though. I don't like what I have her in rn lol. The third is my childhood Sirena Von Boo re-bodied and with a lip repaint. A little while back I got a new Sirena but I didn't wanna get rid of my old broken one so I just restyled her. Finally the fourth is a Ballet Robecca Steam I did a repaint on to try and make her look more like her cartoon appearance. I already have the completed ballet class doll so I wanted to try my hand at another face up :)

Poor Jinafires hair was so gelled up still and sticky I had to braid it to keep it neat. So glad to have a Honey Swamp Doll now! Her hair and face are just GORGEOUS, I had to fluff up her hair a bit, when she came it was so flat it made me sad. Hoping to give Venus a new face and outfit (her hair is still so soft and silky I was impressed by the quality) , and might give Clawdeen a new outfit to compliment her perfect hairstyle. Jane Boolittle was one of my favorite dolls as a kid and I specifically picked that one because her hair had been fluffed out so nice

Y'know, I thought that Monster High g3 would be be rebooting more of the popular older characters (outside of the core) to keep the hype up, but so far we've only gotten...abbey, venus, twyla, some leaks and like 15 versions of draculaura (most of which have the same hair). I'm just surprised at the ratio of core character dolls vs other characters. I know catty, spectra, and the werecats have been leaked as well, but who knows when they're coming.

I get that drac's the most popular and is pink (which apparently mattel wants to focus on for mh but not barbie for some reason...) but dang, can't they at least make an elissabat or something if they want to focus on vamps so much?

I really want to see other characters be rebooted, bc so far I'm really liking these new bodies and faces, but it seems like it'll take a while.

The new 2022 FangVote Rochelle Goyle. It was almost a two year wait and it doeant seem entirely justified. Her design is a lot better than I expected, but her face up is garbage. I feel as though all of her dolls I have seen so far have been slightly miss printed or she looks sort of fish faced. Her box is brilliant, the outer box has a plastic stained glass window and if you shine a light through it, it illuminates the faux stained glass. She comes with a poster and a certificate of authenticity.
