Imitation of a long-dead, Colour Fixer: The Yellow Immortal. no matter what he just wouldn't ever die. is he literally nothing but paste on the ground? you'll see him walking into a hamhampangpang a few hours later

It's constantly hinted that Wukong is a dormant/amnesiac form of the Yellow Immortal, as nobody actually knew HOW the colour fixer kept coming back to life and just assumed it was another fuckass singularity or smth

however in his canto it's revealed he's just a copy, in an endless loop of death and "rebirth"

every time a clone died, the original would make another one and terminate it before seven days, then make another in order to not violate the head's laws. As they were clones, they were forced to obey his every order. however, the current sinner Sun Wukong broke free of his mental programming and led an uprising

"You don't remember, do you? That's fine. None of us did at first. We were born from the same "stone" that the original created. He would make a vessel, take over its body with his mind, and do whatever he saw fit- as long as it died within seven days.

But you- or I guess some personality part of the original Wukong evolved until you grew sick of living and dying. It was this specific you that decided he wanted to end the cycle. He stopped killing his clones, and instead amassed a small army to overthrow the original."

To bypass this, sinner Wukong made it so each and every version of him would have some noticeable difference, creating a loophole, and technically making every clone immortal for good since the head only accounts for one-to-one clones. The only difference is visual, and a very slight tweak to personality

He killed his creator, but overcome with guilt and remorse over basically murdering his kind-of dad, chose to make a deal with Limbus Company. They would erase the more traumatic memories and give himself new ones- just a not-so-ordinary fixer, worked security for an ambitious, private facility

however he does have trace memories that hint he was part of something bigger. His ignorance would be bliss, like Heaven, a brief respite from his agonizing memories. However, he would join their Bus Department, seemingly important but actually quite menial (like the stable boy), and when the time comes, remember everything to attain a Golden Bough that would appear later on

Meanwhile, all the clones await their liberator's return from "Heaven". His second-in-command took over, unknowing that their king didn't wish to play god. They try to forcibly retake Wukong from the Company, put him back in the machine to "fix" him, turn him exactly like how they are: power-hungry, ruthless, ambitious.

What makes you different from us? What makes you important? What does it mean to be unique? Nobody will notice if you're replaced by someone else, right? You're the son, not the original.

Everytime you wake up, it's a new you, new consciousness only with the memories of yesterday. You're a little bit like that. The only difference is visual. Other than that, we're the same, aren't we?

it's like some SOMA shit where he isn't one consciousness between bodies, it's multiple versions of him

unlike heathcliff where erlking just wants to fucking kill him, these wukongs want their brother back and rule over the city. no intention of fixing it, only taking the head's place and continuing the cycle.

EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

Jo has dark brown eyes, the kind that she has compared to a Hershey's bar her whole life, but that Rosie sees in the warmth of Autumn. He will tell her any time she scoffs at her own reflection that her eyes (and smile) are two of his favorite things, because one lights up the other.

Val's eyes are a striking green that, as we know, had Ev Blakely stopping dead in his tracks the first time he saw her. Not a candy apple green, but more of a light green that catches the sun in certain ways, and maybe under the right light takes on a slight hazel tone.

GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?

To the short and sweet of it, Jo doesn't believe in ghosts, but maybe, she thinks she believes in spirits? She's not sure of the difference, until she hears Val swear that the ghost of her Nonna is in the kitchen with her every time she cooks, watching to make sure she doesn't butcher any old family recipes. But, Val says that's not a bad thing, unless she put's cheese on her linguini sauce, in which case, Nonna's ghost is going to come back from the grave and give her a wallop. So, while Val believes in the ghost of her watchful, deceased, Nonna, Jo resolves that maybe they do exist, but doesn't think that there's anything haunting her and Rosie's old fixer upper home in Flatbush. No, not at all. Especially not when her and the girlies think a Ouija Board might be fun after one too many of Jean's martini's during a Halloween get together, that has them all screaming when the lights go out, and not because Douglass is in the basement flipping the breaker on and off. Definitely not then.

ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?

Val has spent so long taking care of everyone around her, that she has a hard time letting go of that and letting Everett step in and take care of her. When her father died, she was little, but when she was old enough, she was working and bringing an extra income into the house so that her mother and Nonna weren't forced to be working all day every day. And then there was growing up and always keeping an eye on Curt- he needed all of the looking after, because he loved to run around. When she's in England, her job is to take care of the men on base, with a smile, a hot coffee, or just asking how their day is. It takes her some time to let go of the need to take care of everyone, and Ev does his best to break her of that, to remind her that he can take care of her just as much as she can for him. When their first child is born, she has to remind herself that she has Everett to do this with; it's a habit that she's constantly working on.

Jo has never, ever, lived with a man before. She went from living with her parents, to living with Jean, and then back to her parents before her and Rosie got married. It's hard for her to deal with some of his more, gentlemanly, habits let's just say. The toilet lid doesn't always go down, and as sweet and kind as Rosie is, he's still a man and she's caught him drinking orange juice from the carton on far too many occasions after they've moved in together. It's a work in progress for both of them.

GREEN HEART - what things make your oc feel comforted? hugs, kisses, food?

Jo thrives on words of affirmation and just simply being held. When she's in Rosie's arms, suddenly whatever was bothering her, or upsetting her, just doesn't exist anymore. She says it often, that her Robbie has the magic touch. It often turns into him swaying her gently, with or without music playing, in whatever room their find themselves. Safety in each other is the key to comfort.

Val finds that it's touch, that brings her comfort. This goes back to that first romp in the cockpit of Just A Snappin, where Everett's hands were (almost) everywhere, and she felt like her whole world had shifted into place in that tiny, cramped space. She needs to be soothed with kisses, or having her hand held. She also swears that a glass of wine and Sunday dinner is the most comforting thing in the world next to her husband.

I have always associated Dorian with the colour orange. Not any shade of orange though, specifically the 'burnt' orange we associate with fire. Fire can be warm, but fire can also hurt. Dorian shows a remarkable ability to care deeply and strongly for those he sees as friends and allies, but is absolutely brutal to his enemies - even more so now that he has been fired from Militech, and has gone on a two year journey of discovery, leading to his present 'fuck the corpos' mentality.

Dorian's preferred clothing colour is grey. It's for practicality reasons, and because grey is a very neomilitaristic colour, befitting his origins.

[30] do they smell like anything notable?

Dorian has no notable smell. He wears a cologne from Avante that is said to smell like oranges, the same orange scent you might find in household cleaners. People who remember him from his Militech/NUSA days always say he smells like Durian (which if you didn't know, stinks something fierce). This is primarily teasing, as Durian was one of his nicknames.

5. how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?

Gigi is deffo a bit of both! Practicality and comfort come first, because when you’re on your feet working all day - you need to be comfy! But she deffo has her unique style of pairing quirky fits together so she tries to include that in her work outfits too! When waitressing and cleaning she has a uniform, but she’ll keep her jewellery on etc so she doesn’t look too plain haha! But appealing to the masses has also never been her thing and she’d rather satisfy herself than anyone else with her appearance!

6. how do they wear their hair? do they care a lot how their hair looks?

Gigi ALWAYS has her hair parted in the middle, and her go to hair do is twin braids! Tho this changes out depending on the weather/occasion! She also always wears a baseball cap (she has a few) so hat hair has become her usual look lmao

Generally she’ll make sure her hair is out of her face and reasonably well kept, but if she were to get paint or something similar in her hair, then she wouldn’t mind and would wash it out when she got home, but would rock the shit outta it while she was out haha!

17. how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?

Her parents ran a mini cafe back in Sagada, Philippines and so she would always be so eager to help them out! Whether it be serving tables or running the till, she was always a familiar face for regulars at the cafe and almost a tourist attraction in of herself for those travelling through the v tourist heavy town! Everyone always talked about “the sweet little girl that greets everyone with a smile and runs the cafe” cus her dad was in the kitchen and her mum was doing coffees etc behind the counter!

If the shop was closed one day tho, she would be found doing something creative! Reorganising/decorating her room became a weekly occurrence and getting second hand furniture from her neighbours etc also became a hobby! She really enjoys fixer upper projects for items (especially furniture) so her family home became her canvas and her parents allowed/encouraged her to decorate as much as possible, so now their house is bright and colourful and still is to this day!

31. do they like receiving gifts? giving gifts? what is their ideal gift?

Gigi is more of a giver than a receiver, but when she does receive gifts it makes her SO gooey!! She’ll never react rudely to any gift - even if it was just a blank piece of paper. She loves to know her people are thought of and so she’ll always do little things/get little things to cheer people up! Her ideal gift tho is something made, not bought. She treasures every single gift/card/artwork etc the boys make for her and has kept every single one (she’s even framed most artworks around the house) and encourages the 4 of them to do group projects so they can all say they’ve made it together! That’s the best gift to her <3

34. how would your character describe themselves? it doesn't have to line up with how they really are

She’d say she was a bit giddy and a funny person! She doesn’t mind being funny in like a ‘oh shes strange’ kinda way, and she adores being able to make people laugh! Even tho she is the definition of optimistic and kind, she wouldn’t use those words herself. She sees optimism as a basic fundamental for people, so she wouldn’t think to describe herself like that because it’s almost her norm yknow?

A23: Does your OC place much importance on their appearance? Do they feel confident in it?

A fair amount, yeah. He's got his aesthetic figured out and hasn't really deviated from it since he was in his late teens. He works out to keep in shape (as anyone in his line of work should, anyway), maintains his haircut and hair colour and always makes sure his clothes are *clean* (and that they're ripped only in places where they're supposed to be). :-) He likes to sleep in tho, so that eyeliner is tattooed on. He likes what he sees in the mirror, yes.

B13: Does your OC enjoy social events, such as parties, clubs, et cetera..?

To an extent. He likes to socialize but anywhere loud and crowded will tire him out after a couple of hours at most. He prefers half-empty pubs and bars or clubs with quieter corners where he can just sit and talk when he's had enough music/dancing for the moment. He might go out once or twice a week but on most days he'd rather just stay at home and tinker with something in his workshop or read a book/play a game. Or perhaps invite a couple of friends for a few beers and a card game/movie night.

C1: Does your OC have a moral code? If not, how do they base their actions? If so, where does it come from, and how seriously do they take it?

Both his parents are Orthodox Christians and while he himself feels more at home with his pocket copy of Daodejing these days, the Christian upbringing *has* shaped him to an extent. He follows a pretty strict no-kill policy and lives by the Golden Rule as much as the city lets him. Fixers have given up on offering him hit jobs. He's a lot of people's go-to for rescue missions, though. Not that he's never tempted to break his own rules. On a few rare occasions, he has. He's not proud of that, but NC has a way of putting convictions like his to a test.

E1: Would you say that your OC is intelligent? In what ways? Would your OC agree?

He is pretty street smart and usually a good judge of character. Good tactician and strategist, great with money. Doesn't excel at improvising but his planning more than makes up for it. Keeps his cool even when things heat up. He'd say Vasily is the smart one. Largely because he himself isn't exactly quick-witted or book smart and he's always admired those traits in others.

F2: What’s their ideal home look like? Where is it?

Classy, clean, quiet, expensive. His flat in Kabuki checks *some* of the boxes but he would like something more expensive, more stylish and more...exclusive. Further away or higher above the busy streets. With a nice view and a terrace and a pool... He'll get there, in time. He's patient and determined. :-]

H8: What’s your OC’s idea of a perfect date?

Depends on whom he's dating, whether this is a first date, or perhaps a date to celebrate something or just a casual middle-of-the-week date with someone's he's been with for a while... For first dates and special occasions, he likes at least a hint of luxury, though a sense of connection is, ultimately, what matters the most. Whatever you do, for the love of Heavens, do *not* try to *surprise* him unless you're pretty damn sure you've got him figured out. Like, you're not getting any extra bonus points for originality, just...stick with the tried boring classics like a nice dinner or going to the movies/theatre or a day/evening spent doing something you both enjoy...

OC designs (and an added Fives and Echo) 5/10

(These were all made on Picrew, https://href.li/?https://picrew.me/image_maker/565738). This squad feature in the Vopak AU series. 

I will give short information about them in this post, but if you search on this blog using their squad name, you will get more detailed information about them.

Jek ARC Squad of the 501st - the ARC squad I have added Echo and Fives to. This is the squad in the Vopak series Echo is a corporal of before the Citadel mission. There is a reunion fic of Jek squad on Vopak, Together again, when Jek squad are able to reunite with Echo. (I’m not sure if ARC squads exist in canon, but in the Vopak AU series they do now.)

Jek squad - ARC squad:

ARC Sergeant Hefty (CT-5620) - Bald with a scruff beard. Hefty has a tough guy persona, but if you are in his squad, you know he is really a softie. Has the bad habit of not sleeping or eating enough when he is stressed about an upcoming campaign or just generally worrying about his Jek boys.

ARC Corporal Quote (CT-1721) - He was promoted to Corporal after Echo’s presumed death. Quote is bald and clean shaven. He has two quote mark tattoos on his head above his right ear. After Echo’s ‘death’ and after Fives refused Hefty’s offer of a promotion to Corporal, Quote was promoted to Corporal and while he accepted his new rank, he hated it. He felt like he was replacing Echo, but he had looked up to Echo for the nine months he served with Echo (Quote became an ARC Trooper three months after the Domino twins).

Dace (CT-4135) - Dace has buzz cut black hair. He was the second member of Jek squad, Hefty choosing him personally. Dace didn’t mind Echo being promoted to Corporal, he actually laughed at Echo when he apologised for being promoted before Dace. Dace doesn’t care for promotions, apart from being given ARC Trooper status, he is happy at the bottom of the pecking order. He silently taught Echo how best to be Hefty’s right-hand-man and helped Echo and Fives adjust to being ARC Troopers. He was very proud of the Domino twins and also helped them with some of their chaotic schemes, privileges of not being a higher rank.

Error (CT-5181) - Error has military regulation red hair and a red scruff beard. He was not named because of his hair colour, it was actually because every time he learnt something shocking, his facial expression would freeze, with wide eyes, representing/being a living embodiment of the error.code message you get on a computer.

Xerus (CT-2418) - Xerus has short blonde hair and is clean shaven. His batchmates are Patch and Fixer from the 212th. He loves that the 501st and 212th often work together as that means he gets to see his batchmates. While training on Kamino, he had initially wanted to be a pilot, but when he watched Commander Colt and some of the other ARCs train, he decided he wanted to be an ARC more than a pilot. After being assigned to the 501st and six months into the war, he happened to confess his aim to Rex while drunk. The next day, the Captain began training him and once Xerus distinguished himself in battle, he was given the official word that he was going to become an ARC Trooper.

Tactless (CT-2013) - Tactless has longish black hair he puts in a nerf tail. He became an ARC four months after the Domino twins. Tactless is named Tactless because he does not possess a lot of tact. But I love my petty boy.

Fara (CT-6118) - Fara has military cut brown hair and has a scruff beard. Fara is the baby of Jek squad and is the most protected of the squad. Fara became a member of Jek squad two months before the Citadel mission, Echo took Fara under his wing and Fara hero-worshipped Echo. When Rex told Jek squad about Echo’s fate on the Citadel, Fara found a corner of the hanger and cried.  Even though, thanks to Echo’s influence, Fara didn’t need to be watched over anymore, he let Fives be protective of him without a word.

absolutely. specifically, maroon, which is the van doren family’s signature colour.

charm, mostly. how to get to know people without them knowing anything about you (spoiler: he overshares. their advice doesn’t really work on him in that case)

amongst our group of flashy students, beth is the only animal lover. she had many pets growing up, and before coming to hones university, she wanted to be a veterinarian. nobody really knows that though, but her love for fondness for animals is referenced throughout the novel.

hm...steal something? no, wait, she wouldn’t do that. snap at someone? be mean to them? yes, probably, since she doesn’t really get the chance to be the mean one in the group.

xix. do they study before tests? practice before job interviews?

for tests? to a degree, but it depends on which subject it is (he loves the stem subjects and physical education, but that’s about it). i think he would practice before a job interview though, maybe even to obsessive degrees. 

xxviii. would they date a fixer-upper?

oh, definitely! eloi himself is hopeless when it comes to fixing things, so having a fixer-upper around would really help him.

Oya!! Congrats on completing your finals!! My finals week is yet to begin, but I'm happy yours is over! Your celebration request: I am currently working on a squad of 4 Commando OC's, i have their characters, names etc pinned down and everything, and I am working on sketches of em, but like an idiot beginner artist, i choose watercolour as my medium for colour, not knowing it's fucking difficult :) but I really like it and I am determined to learn. But once I paint a pretty clone face that doesnt make me cringe I'll introduce the squad to the public, haha

I sadly know almost nothing about the Commandos. I've heard mixed things about K. Travis's stuff (I don't even know if I spelled her name right) and I don't personally play video games. But I know that there's a squad of four with Boss, Fixer, Sev, and Scorch (I think??) and I know Gregor is a Commando. But I'd be interested to hear more about your boys!

Ooo watercolor is so gorgeous but it is SOOOO difficult. I took a class in high school and literally worked on one painting the entire term. However, it's a lot of fun to play around with so I hope you have fun. If not, I'm sure you'll find the medium that works best for you.

I look forward to seeing your squad once you're comfortable with sharing them! (As a semi-beginner artist, having only recently started drawing people and drawing digitally, all I can say is practice and don't be afraid to use references. They're life savers.)
