------In Canon------

Computer (yes that's its name) is the computer owned by the Bagge's located I'm their attic. Courage uses him to search for how to defeat the monster of the day, research specific items, with occasional off screen NORMAL computer activities

Computer appears in every season if the show: 9 times in season 1 (one being a cameo), 5 times in season two, 3 times in season 3, and four times in season four. He makes two quick appearances in The Fog Of Courage and Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog movies.

The Computer will usually say a snippy one liner before and or after actually giving the information Courage wants.

Courage (searching for a cure): "What should I do?"

Computer: "if I were you, I'd get a big mallet and-" (smash them presumably)

Courage: "No no NO! A cure! A cure!"

Computer: "Oh....... That's easy, get a little hair from the mole that bit you."

(Courage gets ready to leave)

Computer: "just don't get bitten!~" (teasing tone meant to shake courage up)

The Computer has a masculine British voice DRIPPING with sarcasm, having a new voice actor in every new appearance: Simon Prebble, Paul Schoeffler, and Jeff Bergman respectfully

------Analysis------

- The computer is most likely based off of a Amiga 3000

You can see the resemblance yes? Cube monitor that sits on top the rectangle (I forgot the name sue me) with the clunky keyboard (ho mama) honestly perfect for a cartoon. Although he is still simplified, without a mouse and numpad (fair enough)

- In season 2 episode 14 he gains an off switch meant only as a gag. The Computer makes fun of Courage for.. being a cowardly dog and Courage flips the switch turning it off. It then disappears for the rest of the season until season 3, where it now has the words "OFF" under it.

- In season 3 episode seven, Muriel presses a random key on the Computers keyboard. Which then plays [SENSUAL TRUMPET NOISE] and presumably shows something in his screen, it isn't shown to the audience and Courage covers it up embarrassed. The Computer then says "Hey, push that button again!" in a..flirtatious??? Tone, To which Courage responds by ripping out the key and tossing it.. did Courage have a P@%# Hot key?? Was it giving The Computer physical satisfaction?? Gross.

- Anyway in this episode The computer has three keys near both sides of the space bar (unlike the images shown above before this episode, which has two keys on each side)

Courage rips out the one in the bottom right of the keyboard. Here's an image of the Amiga 3000 keyboard

As you can see it doesn't HAVE a third key at the bottom. The quality is s$!÷ but the closest one is the right ALT key. Meaning the 'button' is either the ALT key in earlier episodes or (going off of other keyboards) the right CTRL key in this episode

- the Computer regularly says suggestive S#!÷ in a suggestive tone. In Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog: he outright flirts with Velmas iPad and asks if later she would want to do some "Downloading and updating"

Yeah I don't even know man

- The computer is a lot nicer in the Scooby-Doo movie. When I say a lot nicer I mean he only insults someone like once

Okay so when I first looked up the computer, I just did a quick search on Tumblr and saw only a few posts. So like a sane person I just assumed he wasn't very popular and moved on.

BUT NO! F#@%!×$ NO!!

For S#!+$ and giggles I did one lazy search and found All things End: A Computer x Courage slow burn

If you use your eyes you can see 3 things: one, this has 144 chapters, 2 this has 415,955 words, so those aren't SHORT chapters, and three-

THIS IS PART F@#$%!÷ ONE!!!

This series has 3 parts, the final STILL BEING WRITTEN. it started in 2010-07-31. As of writing this that's 13.86 YEARS! This series would be getting ready for high-school!

The plot is about courage falling Ill with a rare fatal disease that will soon kill him. So he and the computer go on a quest to get the cure. The Computer gets a dog body, and the creator has drawn posters for each volume (although only volume one's showed up for me)

The first volume has 415,955 words

The second volume has 474,148 words

The final volume as of writing has 110,744 words

The total word count of the series 1,000,847 words. Giving it 217,770 more words than the kings James version of the Bible which- may I repeat the final is STILL GOING. I hope to one day finish reading this masterpiece. Godspeed Couragefan09 o7

------My Opinion------

10/10 this all started with a video on my YouTube recommended, which I use for most of the pictures. I came out of this having a new fanfic to read for the summer.. and probably fall too. With that being said his character actually made me laugh out loud and I'm SO F#@%!$# PISSED NO ONE TALKS ABOUT HIM! WATCH IT, WATCH IT NOW

Finally watched Courage the Cowardly Dog (didn't grow up with cable), and... Y'all weren't lying, this is legitimately so fucked like did they just do that? I think they just did

But, my biggest grievance of this show...

There's a snarky, sentient computer in this show, that NOBODY talks about? We need to talk about him more, he's perfect why did nobody say anything??

If Computer Meets Barry's Parents (CTCD Story)

[Characters: Barry(OC), Computer, Nathan(OC), Teresa(OC) and unnamed restaurant employee OC]

Nathan and Teresa were ordering at a restaurant, when suddenly the black feline sees Barry holding onto Computer's human hand while he goes over to retrieve his meal.

"Got an order for Barry here?" The staff member of the restaurant places the bag filled with food on the counter, right as Computer comes along to there. "That'll be him here." The device points at him.

"Oh... right, sir." the staff person was a little confused of an another person wearing a computer as its head. "Anyways, here's your friend's order."

He takes the bag from the counter "That's kind of you," before speaking to Barry, "come along kid." As the two leave the place, Nathan watches them, surprised.

Right back at Courage's attic. Barry was listening to Computer talking about history. Till he hears his iPad start ringing. He picks it up and opens it to reveal his parents facetime calling their son.

"Well, what is it then?"

"It's my mom and dad."

By Computer's thoughts "I didn't remember the kid had parents. What are they? Are they a lot like him? Do they get scared easily? Oh, what twits they are..." His tone turned sarcastic of thinking of his parents.

Once the call starts, Barry's screen shows his father first; Nathan. "Hey son." Then his mother Teresa appears next to her husband.

"Hey dad, hey mom." He waves at them both.

"Is everything alright dear?

"Yeah... I'm alright."

Nathan: Could we ask you something? It's that we saw this guy who is with you.

Teresa: He has a computer as a head, it wears a dark blue suit, white gloves, black boots and a red scarf

Barry: [thinks] Hmmm, I think he is–

Computer: Who are you yapping with on your tablet, you twit?

Barry: Uhh, my dad and... my mom

Nathan: Barry? Who's that your speaking with

Computer: Well, then how about you show your stupid tablet over to me you twerp

Teresa: Is that someone saying these kind of words at my son?!

Barry: [to Computer] Sorry, sorry, sorry Computer

[Barry moves his tablet over to Computer's screen]

Computer: That's better

Nathan: [shocked] Oh my!

Teresa: [shocked] Oh. my. GOD!

Nathan: A computer that can actually type, without letting anyone press it's own keyboard?!

Teresa: [breathing heavily] this is all so surprising, Nathan

Nathan: It's ok Teresa dear, just take a breather to calm ourselves down from what we saw now

[5 minutes later after taking a breather, Nathan and Teresa came face to face with Computer]

Nathan: So, what I'm guessing is that your like a helper to my son, right?

Computer: Well of course, you twit. Since his little friend has gone off with Muriel and the farmer, this little fellow and I are the only ones in this shelter alive, and I am now scheduled to keep an eye out on him

Teresa: Ohhh~ ok

Nathan: We like to know who you are. So, first is your name

Computer: Name!? You twit, I don't need a simple name like you have.

Teresa: Sooo, just Computer right?

Computer: ...Yes!

Nathan: Ok. Second is about a living human body attached to a computer as a head, walking across the restaurant. And I saw that all along

[Computer's screen shows an eye raising a brow at the couple in a serious expression]

Computer: [sighs, in a sarcastic manner] Looks like I'll be telling this whole thing all over again. But yes, I actually gained a human body before

Nathan: Well then, tell us about it

Computer: Alright, no need to rush me over it, twit

Computer: [explaining his story, while his screen shows scenes of "Mega Muriel the Magnificent"] It all happened on a stormy night, I was powered off thanks to the twit's frustration. As these morons went to their sleep, a bolt of lightning struck onto my soul. And then, I finally rise up, even gaining a new pair of arms right here [shows one of his arms out of his back] and then I started my getaway

[Nathan and Teresa nod]

Computer: While with that, I encountered the farmer and insert my abilities into his whole body, but he was such a weakling. All I needed from a body was lots of meat! And that's when I grabbed his dear wife and together we form the greatest stunt woman – Mega Muriel The Magnificent!

Teresa: Oh my!

Computer: But I turned things round with the dog. We had our differences, and I was only doing those dangerous acts because of his cowardly nature, but he sure has a heart to save me and one person he truly cares about [his screen goes normal]

Nathan: I see now, Computer

Computer: The kid did have more respect for me, to place a headless mannequin sitting in the attic here. [to Barry] Move your pad over to the mannequin, twit

[Barry moves his IPad over, now showing the headless mannequin]

Teresa: Ooh

Nathan: Ahh

Computer: Whenever if I feel like to go out. I would just insert all my power and data to this here, and there my whole self goes into the head and placing it all together. But despite that, having a human body feels like boredom to me

Teresa: Oookay, and thirdly we wanna ask is how are you with my dear son Barry

[Computer looks at Barry holding his IPad to him]

Computer: Well, he's like the twit. Getting frightened of monsters way too easily.

Nathan: Hey, hey, hey. That's really not nice of you, Mister

Teresa: You should've showed some sympathy on our son Barry

Computer: Well since I gained AI, which is that I have feelings. But sympathy isn't one of these feelings I can feel, you twits

[Nathan and Teresa had stern looks at Computer, who is unamused. He sees Barry feeling down]

Computer: [sighs] Come now twit. [lifts Barry off the floor with his arms] I brought this lunch for you to enjoy, after we did your little anxiety sessions today

Nathan: W-W-W-Wait! Anxiety therapy sessions?

Teresa: But when have you done these things?

Computer: Well, since I am currently aware that he has anxiety. I become a sort of mentor to the poor twit [pats Barry's head]

Computer: He told me about that spider he didn't like

Nathan: ...Toxin

Computer: Oh. Seems like you knew him

Nathan: Really long, yep. He is my worst foe. And also the reason that Barry is afraid of spiders!

Computer: Arachnophobic, you say? Tch, how common. As it is the most common fear in this world. According to the percentage of gender; there is a 28% of men being afraid of them, while the highest is 50% of women being afraid of them.

Teresa: [whispers to Nathan] Oh my, he's good

Computer: I can still hear you, even if you both are whispering to eachother

Teresa: Darn it

[Nathan and Teresa are muted, while Barry and Computer are chatting]

Nathan: [whispering, to Teresa] I don't trust that computer dear. He calls us twits, even at our son Barry.

Teresa: [whispering] hmm yeah, but we saw that he does anxiety sessions with him

Nathan: ...overall he is still rather untrustworthy to be... hmm...

[Teresa turns the speaker button on]

Teresa: Barry? Can you hear us now?

Barry: Yeah?

Nathan: We're gonna let you off now. You can call us later if you want, ok

Barry: Ok

Teresa: Have a great day son. We love you

Barry: Love you mom. Love you dad [blows a kiss on the IPad] [presses the hang up button on the IPad and places it down]

Computer: That's... weird

Barry: Placing a kiss on the IPad? It's to show how I love my mom and dad, Computer

Computer: ...weird

About three days ago, I had the most strongest urge to finish designing my Courage The Cowardly Dog self insert. That show would pop into my mind, it's like my favourite ^^

I'm excited but also kinda scared because she's like the closest to how I am irl so it's really scary. Thinking of her with all my flaws and all.

But I will prevail.
