Honestly the operator hadn't expected the eggs to hatch. Not after finding the mother Condroc dead to Grineer Drones. They could have just left the eggs, could have told Teasonai where to find them but well…

They couldn’t just leave them.

So they took the eggs and when they cracked open as the Operator carried them back to the ship well… I mean what were they supposed to do?

Really there’s only one choice here. Made easier by the fact that the little birds follow them around and refuse to leave their side.

...They’ll need to hide this from Ordis.

for the compliment i’ll repay with a fun fact:

technically condroc meat can be eaten raw. i say technically only because it needs to be prepared correctly. the best way to do that it to catch, kill, and prep the bird yourself. most people aren’t going out of their way to do that, though. condrocs generally don’t get sick and illnesses that they do have aren’t transmissible through the consumption of their flesh.

The vermink floofs just don't really look like vermink to me. They look like some kind of little nervous doggy. Most of the Deimos wildlife floofs just don't look like the animal at all and don't capture their natural charm. Condrocs have been badly cheated, compared to the much cuter sawgaw. The Lotus floof does nothing to reflect her radiance and majesty. Gauss! :)

k, so I’ve started working on a Plains of Eidolon Map that shows the (possible) locations for the Hell-Birds aka Condocs. Green are the ground ones, purple are the birds that are flying overhead that you need to shoot down. 

QUestion marks are locations I remember encountering sitting condrocs in the past, but not since the update. 

And that tiny yellow dot (bottom right) is a known Kuaka location- 100% always there

- If anyone has any other known (or suspected) locations, pleas feel free to add to the map :) 

I’m hoping this will help sbd & my clan out a bit with that damned Tower White pigment

Also, IMPORTANT (maybe)! I found out how to search for sitting condrocs more effectively than running around with a scanner out- and Grineer taking potshots at you.

I flew around with my arching, but just high enough to get a better field of view, and I detected more condorcs than I usually do. I got 40 pigments in 1 run. I would’ve gotten at least 10 more had I not missed the last group of birds and they flew away.  

Before i barely got 10 pigments, with finding only 2 sitting groups in one session!
