Aspects In Synastry
☌ Conjunction: Intensity, Fusion, Synchronization When planets are close together, it shows a strong blending of energies, signifying a powerful connection and mutual influence between individuals. If one person's Venus is in conjunction with another person's Mars, it could indicate a strong physical attraction and passionate energy between the two individuals.
Δ Trine: Harmony, Ease, Mutual Support This aspect indicates harmony and support between the planets, suggesting an easy flow of energy and understanding between the individuals involved. When one person's Sun forms a trine with another person's Moon, it suggests a natural understanding and emotional harmony, fostering a sense of ease and mutual support in the relationship.
✱ Sextile: Opportunity, Compatibility, Understanding Signifying opportunities and compatibility, the sextile aspect represents a positive and harmonious interaction between the planets, fostering mutual growth and understanding. For instance, if one person's Mercury is sextile to another person's Jupiter, it may indicate a shared intellectual rapport and a mutual appreciation for open-minded communication and learning.
☐ Square: Tension, Challenge, Growth Showing tension and challenges, the square aspect indicates a conflict between the planets, suggesting potential friction and differences that need to be resolved for better understanding and harmony. If one person's Saturn is square to another person's Sun, it may signify a dynamic where responsibilities and goals could create tension and challenges, requiring compromise and understanding to foster a harmonious relationship.
☍ Opposition: Balance, Polarity, Compromise Representing polarity and balance, the opposition aspect shows a tug-of-war between the planets, highlighting the need for compromise and understanding to achieve a harmonious relationship dynamic. For example, if one person's Moon is in opposition to another person's Venus, it could suggest a push-pull dynamic between emotional needs and desires, highlighting the importance of finding a balance between affection and nurturing.
⚻ Quincunx: Adaptation, Compromise, Flexibility Signifying adjustment and adaptation, the quincunx aspect suggests a need for flexibility and understanding, as the planets involved may require some adjustments and compromises for compatibility. If one person's Mercury is quincunx to another person's Neptune, it may imply a need for adjustments and clear communication to bridge any gaps in understanding and avoid potential misunderstandings in the relationship.
⚺ Semi-Sextile: Adjustment, Alignment, Minor Influence Signifying subtle adjustments and minor influences, the semi-sextile aspect suggests a need for small adaptations and understanding between the planets involved for better compatibility and communication. For instance, if one person's Mars is semi-sextile to another person's Pluto, it may suggest subtle adjustments and compromises in the expression of desires and passions to foster a more harmonious and balanced relationship.
∠ Semi-Square: Friction, Unease, Minor Conflict Showing minor tensions and challenges, the semi-square aspect indicates a subtle conflict and friction between the planets, highlighting the need for patience and adjustments to foster understanding and harmony. If one person's Jupiter is semi-square to another person's Saturn, it might indicate minor tensions and challenges related to differing approaches to growth and responsibility, requiring patience and understanding to navigate potential conflicts.
⚼ Sesquiquadrate: Discord, Tension, Compromise Indicating minor discord and tension, the sesquiquadrate aspect suggests a need for compromise and adjustments between the planets, as they may create subtle challenges that require resolution for better relationship dynamics. For example, if one person's Venus is sesquiquadrate to another person's Uranus, it could imply minor discord and tensions related to the need for personal freedom and individuality within the relationship.
Q Quintile: Creativity, Inspiration, Unique Connection Signifying creativity and inspiration, the quintile aspect represents a harmonious and creative interaction between the planets, fostering a sense of inspiration and mutual understanding that contributes to the dynamics of the relationship. If one person's Sun forms a quintile with another person's Pluto, it could suggest a creative and transformative connection, fostering a sense of shared power and growth within the relationship.
bQ Biquintile: Harmony, Mutual Inspiration, Creative Bond Reflecting creative harmony and inspiration, the biquintile aspect emphasizes a strong creative connection and mutual inspiration between the planets, contributing to a sense of shared creativity and understanding within the relationship. For instance, if one person's Mercury is biquintile to another person's Neptune, it may indicate a strong creative and intuitive bond, fostering a deep understanding and shared inspiration within the relationship.

Aspects - Understanding Charts: Lesson One
Hello, hello, and welcome to the first expert level article. Aspects are not an easy thing to understand. They can be messy and confusing. There's math involved (to a minor degree, but still). It's one of those things that needs to be understood if you are reading your own chart. To understand as a whole to get the full picture. So here we go Aspects - Understanding Charts.
Now- let me show you a chart.
Maybe you've seen this before- a birth chart (also called a natal chart). There's A LOT, going on here- so let's break it down.
On the outer ring, you can see the familiar symbols of the Zodiac. Featured there's Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Virgo, and Leo. Breaking it down further you can also see the symbols for planets, asteroids, and placements like the ascendant or midheaven. (We're gonna slip past those numbers floating in the middle ring for now). Finally on the inner ring, there are more numbers related to the houses.
I haven't written all of this yet, but it is in the works. Breaking down the symbols, and houses- this will be on the novice level on my site (if you need a refresher). I do not have those written yet- but when I do. You'll be some of the first to know.
Now- let's get into those numbers in the middle ring, shall we?
Aspects - Understanding Charts: Degrees
So in understanding aspects - understanding charts begins with the degrees that you find them in. Each section of the outer wheel has 30 degrees going through it and that's the number you see next to the planetary symbols. For example in the upper right of the chart, we can see the sun is in Leo at 22 degrees. Then in the lower left photo we can see that the moon is in Sagittarius at 14 degrees. Those are the distances for which that specific planet was moving through the sign at the moment you were born. This in and of itself can fully shake up a birth chart when you start looking at applying and separating aspects. (We'll get into this more next time).
Degrees are important in that they help us learn and figure out different aspects within the birth chart- this particular aspect between the sun and moon is a trine.
You might not know what that is yet, but that's why I'm here, and I promise- I'll get into it.
Degrees help shape the chart in three ways: aspects, energy (applying vs. separating), and degree theory (I may write a post on this later on, but overall I will not be discussing it at length in this lesson series).
What are Aspects?
An aspect is the relationship between the planets and how they interact with one another in a chart. For me I like to think about it as a big family dinner. You have your family (which can be positive or negative), your close friends (good support buddies), someone you can't tolerate being alone with (friction and difficultness), and some like extended relatives that you're good with (can carry on a conversation), and finally extended family members you don't get along with (challenging to talk to).
Each of these family members are played by a planet, their relationship is dictated by the aspect, and how good or bad it is, is directed by the energy. Finally you have their personal quirks and whats bouncing off of each other being dictated by signs and houses.
This is why it's so important to understand each of these tiny little things. They are all interacting with each other (kinda), all the time.
That's why a person with a Capricorn sun might not feel so much like a Capricorn if they have an aspect with their moon - helping them through their emotions and walking them through their feelings in the fifth and eight houses. It's complicated, and messy- and that's just life.
So let's start with the first of the last steps to fully understand your birth chart- the aspects themselves.
Aspect Pre-Summary
I will be focusing on five major aspects.
Conjunction (0°)
Opposition (180°)
Trine (120°)
Square (90°)
Sextile (60°)
These are the relationships that I was talking about.
Quick summary based on my analogy- before we get into the nitty gritty and further explanations.
Conjunction is your family. This can be a positive or negative aspect. It all depends on the planets interacting.
Opposition is the person you can't really tolerate. There tends to be a lot of conflict in this aspect.
Trine is your close buddies you're working in harmony here. You might spend most of the night talking to them.
Square is the extended family you can't really talk with. The conversation here is difficult. Speaking with them creates frustration.
Sextile is the extended family you can chat with, and have a decent conversation. They're here to remind you that it's all good.
With reading a chart sometimes it can be difficult to tell if something is an aspect or not. That's where the degrees come in. The closer the planets are together- the stronger the aspect. However, an aspect only applies when it is (typically) 8°. For larger planets (like the sun and moon) some astrologers move this to 13°.
For example let's take this chart in to question again.
The Leo sun has a trine aspect with the moon in Sagittarius. That's a 120° angle between the two signs. If you count there is 111 spokes on the wheel in-between the two giving an 9° difference within our 13° error zone for aspects on larger planets. It's a pretty good aspect here, and can be felt by the imaginary individual in question.
However, what's the point in knowing the aspects- if you don't know what they fully are? So let's get into it shall we?
The Aspects
Conjunction- 0°
A conjunction takes place when two signs are right on top of one another. This creates a type of synastry. Both planets are (typically) within the same sign (for planets where one is 29° in Aries and the other is at 0° to 1° in Taurus they still carry synastry- more on this next time). Depending on the planets it can be a positive or negative aspect. For example, Venus- the planet of soft love and the feminine side of relationship would synergize positively with the moon. This creates harmony between the two as the moon helps to express inner emotions . Meanwhile having a planet like Mars conjunct with Neptune would be considered a negative aspect. This is due to the dreamy qualities of Neptune aggro-ing the Mars passion and drive.
Opposition- 180°
The opposition aspect is considered neutral, but it is more often than not a very harsh aspect. These two signs are usually at odds, because they have fundamentally different energies. If the planet is in Aries and they have an opposition with a planet in Libra- you are going to be looking at someone who could be struggling with the identity of "we" vs. "I". Especially if those planets are Mars and Venus respectively (traditional planetary rulers), you are going to be looking at a lot of conflict in your relationships, with a severe need for communication. HOWEVER, where this can be a more neutral aspect is if you take it as an area of growth. These can synergize in a passionate, loving, and driven relationship- one for the ages. It all depends where you are at in your life, and how willing you are for change.
Trine- 120°
Trine's are considered harmonious aspects. This is because it usually takes place within a grand trine of an element. Meaning that the communication between the planets flows freely, and things come to them naturally. It signals for having innate talent (that often the person is unaware of, until pointed out). For example let's continue with the Aries theme here. If Aries Sun is trine with a Leo ascendant- this person is easily bold, and driven, with a charisma that seems to charm people. They are a natural born leader and can easily sway the tide of a conversation. Their inner persona seems to be exemplified and led by the Leo ascendant walking together hand and hand. Things flow here naturally and easily.
Square- 90°
Our last actual challenging aspect. The Square. Things are not simple when it comes between planets in a square at the angle of 90°, these signs are typically found within the same quadruplicity of modality. Fixed, Cardinal, and Mutable. These energies synergize off one another, very similarly to the opposition. For example, take an Aries sun squared off with a Capricorn Mars. What you will see here is the flighty drive of the sun wanting to accomplish tasks one right after the other. Whereas the Capricorn Mars interacting with it tells the Aries sun to slow down- that everything will come in it's own time. Creating a headache between the drive to accomplish something, and then the passion regarding to want to pursue it. Squares are important to recognize so that you can get the full picture, and try to overcome the obstacle.
Sextile- 60°
Just like Trines these are harmonious aspects. There's innate talent and an easy flow of communication between planets falling in a sextile- however, it is much more subtle a difference than it is with Trines. It's not a super close relationship, but they get along well. Making planets that are found here's goal's way more attainable. Let's keep it up with our Aries Sun and a Trine with Aquarius moon. This is harmonic in that the thoughts and feelings of Aquarius help to bring innovation in to the Aries' sun drive for passion. Creating a subtle harmony that allows that network of personality flow- and hopefully create something great.
Wrap Up: Aspects - Understanding Charts
As I said there's a lot that goes into understanding your natal chart, and the aspect is just one flow of it. So if you have your birth chart pulled (or someone else's) take a look through and see if you can find different aspects without the lines that are added in. Find key planets, and see what type of relationships they may have with one another- and what that might mean for you!
In the meantime, keep an eye out for the next lesson, Relationships - Understanding Charts: Lesson Two.
Stay groovy, and I'll see you on the flip,

Aspects in Synastry observations 💍💍💍
Credit @astroismypassion
💍 Moon conjunct Jupiter: Jupiter person will uplift the Moon person, give a lot of emotional support and encouragement. In return, the Moon person feels emotionally safe and inspired to have more faith, be more optimistic. There is a natural tendency to see the best in each other, easily forgive one another. There is potential for overindulgence. Both partner might turn to escapism. With this you can avoid dealing with deeper emotional issues. Both might not be completely in sync on marrying each other. You might also gloss over problems in the connection.
💍 Groom conjunct North Node: There is a pressure to commit with this aspect. You may enter a partnership quickly, under pressure or you may move really quickly. One might be ready, one not, but if either person isn’t ready, this could lead to tension. Groom person might be more prone to not be ready. Groom person (especially if not fully accomplished or aligned with own growth) here at times might not fully support North Node person’s path, which can lead to frustration. There can be a sense of “meant to be” in the connection. Both might recognise each other as lifelong partner. Groom person feels naturally drawn to NN person. And NN person find motivation and direction through Groom person in return. Groom person feels a duty to help NN person grow. While NN person feels a sense of familiarity and security. This conjunction often points to a karmic connection from past lives or a significant purpose in the present.
💍 North Node conjunct Ascendant: This connection may feel overwhelming at times. NN person feels that they need to grow up (even if they don’t feel ready yet). Ascendant person may feel pressured to fulfil a role in NN person’s destiny. Ascendant person acts here as a guide, mentor towards NN person’s life purpose. The connection is often immediate and intense. NN person feels like they are stepping into their destiny, life purpose through the connection.
💍 Mercury opposite Venus: This opposition create a sense of intrigue and fascination. One person might feel like the other prioritises conversation over emotional intimacy and vice versa. Venus person feels under appreciated. Mercury person feels overwhelmed by emotional or romantic expectations of Venus person. But there can be a lot of lively discussions and creative ideas.
💍 Mars conjunct Moon: Moon person teaches about emotional depth, sensitivity. While Mars person helps the Moon person build confidence and assertiveness. Mars person can unintentionally hurt Moon person’s feelings by being too direct. The Moon person may be overly sensitive or passive, which frustrates the Mars person. This aspect can lead to arguments or intense emotional outbursts. But actually BOTH need to work in their own emotional regulation to prevent escalating conflicts. A baby making aspect.
💍 North Node conjunct Moon: The Moon person’s emotional support and care can make NN person feel deeply understood and valued. Though, negatively, the Moon person can become overly attached or dependent on NN person. To the Moon person it feels naturally to support NN person’s aspirations, purpose. This connection can be deeply comforting to the Moon person.
💍 Venus conjunct Vertex: This connection might feel overwhelming or “too good to be true”, especially for the Vertex person. This aspect points to a profound connection, yet it does not always guarantee longevity. Sometimes the focus is on growth, healing rather than longevity. Unresolved issues related to love, self-worth, values will surface for both to resolve. Both could feel they were meant to meet. Venus person’s love, charm, beauty may trigger an emotional or romantic awakening for the Vertex person. Both will discover new dimensions of love, values and partnership. Vertex person finds Venus person attractive.
💍 Chiron conjunct Ascendant: This connection challenges both to grow. Ascendant person becomes more aware of their identity, self-worth. While Chiron person gains a sense of purpose when they offer healing and support. Ascendant person feels exposed, uncomfortable as their own old wounds are brought to the surface. The Chiron person feels a sense of responsibility for the Ascendant person’s healing, which can emotionally drain the Chiron person. There can be an imbalance of roles if the connection becomes too focused on healing, it might feel one-sided. The Chiron person, negatively, can also trigger pain, unresolved trauma for the Ascendant person.
💍 Chiron trine Venus: This aspect brings the best in both individuals. Both approach love with greater compassion, emotional depth. But both need to be mindful of each other’s sensitivities.
💍 Venus conjunct Juno: The Juno person may expect a level of devotion that Venus may not be prepared to give. The connection could also feel so ideal, that both overlook potential incompatibilities, challenges. Both need more realistic expectations. This aspect is a strong indicator for marriage or committed partnership. But it can also feel that it has soulmate or karmic quality. Juno person sees Venus person as their ideal partner that they can build a life with. While the Venus person feels validated and loved for who they are.
💍 Moon conjunct Vesta: Both can feel dedicated to a shared goal, household or emotional healing. Boundaries here are blurred, one person can become overly dependent on the other for emotional support.
💍 Moon opposite Moon: Both have troubles meeting each other’s emotional needs, if they are too focused on their own perspective. Disagreements or emotional distance can occur. Positively, this can be a very balanced dynamic! One person provides what the other lacks emotionally. For example: one person brings emotional closeness, warmth, the other perspective and emotional resilience. This aspects encourages more emotional maturity for both. On the positive side, this can also bring excitement, depth to the connection, both learn to appreciate each other’s emotional world. With this one, I would, suggest taking time to understand and validate each other’s emotional needs, even if they differ from your own. Also, talk about emotional reactions and needs to avoid assumptions or misunderstandings.
💍 Venus opposite Venus: Both can have different ideas about what makes a connection, relationship fulfilling. They can disagree about priorities or lifestyle choices. They can be at odds romantically. One person’s way of expressing love might feel mismatched or inadequate to the other. This leads to unmet needs. There can be a push and pull dynamic. One person can bring spontaneity, excitement, while the other person offers stability, depth.
💍 Jupiter conjunct Sun: There is good fortune, sense of abundance in the connection, either material or emotional abundance. It feels emotionally or spiritually uplifting! Both inspire each other to pursue dreams, ideals and goals. Jupiter person can end up feeling taken advantage of their generosity or taken for granted, if the Sun person doesn’t reciprocate the effort. Sun person can feel supported, validated by Jupiter to the point that Sun person’s ego becomes inflated. There can be imbalance in the connection. This connection can feel lucky or blessed.
💍 Uranus opposite Venus: Uranus person brings exciting, unconventional energy that draws the Venus person in. This aspect often appears in connections where there is a significant age, cultural difference, long-distance, non-traditional arrangement. Both redefine what love and relationships mean to them. Uranus person can unexpectedly or erratically pull away at times, while Venus person feels uncertain and ungrounded. The connection feels unpredictable, inconsistent, with periods of intense closeness followed by sudden detachment. This instability can frustrate Venus person especially. Venus person therefore feels neglected, undervalued, when Uranus person prioritises their independence over the connection. Uranus person feels overwhelmed or stifled. This can create an on and off relationship or just frequent cycles of separation and reconciliation. Positively, Uranus person introduces new ideas, perspective, experiences that broaden Venus person’s understanding of love and relationships. This connection can challenge societal norms. Here, open communication about expectations, boundaries is important. Both people need to avoid clinging too tightly to their own needs. Also, focus on the aspects of the connection that make it special and unconventional rather than forcing it into a traditional mold. It’s very important to accept the unpredictable nature of the connection and use it as an opportunity for personal growth, aspirations and exploration.
💍 Uranus opposite Mercury: The sudden, unpredictable nature of Uranus may leave Mercury person feeling confused or mentally unsettled at times. But Uranus person feels that Mercury person is too slow to adapt or too focused on conventional ways of thinking. This aspect create a feeling that the other person is not listening or understanding their perspective. Erratic or unpredictable communication with sudden shifts in topic, unexpected bursts of insight. Mercury person feels like they struggle with keeping up or feel angry by the sudden changes in thoughts or direction of communication, plans. Uranus person is too chaotic and impractical, Mercury person is too rigid and conventional. Mercury person sees Uranus person as someone who has a lot of mental chaos in their head. Plans might not happen. Both can have differing opinions, perspective or contrasting mentality.
💍 South Node conjunct Venus: This aspect immediately leads to a sense of comfort, but there could also be a risk of repeating past relationship dynamics. Venus person may feel an immediate, deep attraction to the SN person, as if they have known each other before. A feeling of “coming home” emotionally. The connection can feel magical, but SN person may bring up old emotional patterns for the Venus person. Also, Venus person could experience a relationship dynamic or relationship habits that they have experiences before. Both can sense like they have unfinished business together or a long history together, even if they haven’t been in each other’s lives for long in this lifetime. This aspect shows a strong bond, that could also feel emotionally repetitive. SN person doesn’t offer the emotional depth, growth Venus person needs in the long run. Venus person brings out SN person’s softer, nurturing side.
💍 North Node opposite Venus: NN person sees Venus person as someone who is too focused on emotional comfort, material security. While Venus person sees NN person as too focused on their long-term goals, personal goals neglecting relationship needs. Venus person resists growth that NN person encourages as it feels like too much change or as disruption.
💍 South Node conjunct Moon: Both might have shared a close emotional or familial bond in past-life connection. Maybe before, they were siblings, lovers or parent-child. South Node person feels comforted by Moon person’s nurturing. The purpose of the connection is to resolve unfinished emotional business or to learn a lesson about nurturing, emotional boundaries or dependency. SN person feels dependent on Moon person’s emotional care. While Moon person feels tied to SN person, which feels difficult to break free from. SN person feels nurtured in a way they have longed for. Connection may feel like it is “stuck” in emotional intensity without any real progression.
💍 Moon conjunct Ascendant: This aspects creates an instant sense of closeness. Both can become overly sensitive to each other’s moods and behaviour. A small misunderstanding can lead to emotional hurt even. It’s hard to maintain boundaries. Moon person allows the Ascendant person space to express themselves freely. While Ascendant person acknowledges Moon person’s emotional depth with feeling burdened.
💍 Lilith conjunct Ascendant: This aspect can bring hidden, repressed desires for the Lilith person. Ascendant person can at as a mirror. The Ascendant person becomes aware of new parts of themselves connected with unexplored sensuality, independence or rebellion. There is a sense of taboo or breaking societal norms. The connection can feel unconventional, intense, dangerous. It challenges both to embrace parts they usually avoid. Issues around control, independence, freedom can occur. But, positively, it feels like a journey into deeper self-awareness, empowerment. Both confront fears, desires and hidden aspects of themselves. There can be physical attraction, electric chemistry, mystery and intensity. The Ascendant person feels liberated by Lilith person’s unapologetic authenticity. Ascendant person is inspired to embrace their true self. Lilith person feels their darker, complex emotions are accepted and understood. Lilith person can be seen as too intense, possessive, provocative for the Ascendant person. Lilith person feels judged, rejected for their raw emotions, desires.
💍 Venus trine Mars: Both find each other highly attractive on a romantic and physical level. The connection feels natural, because there is a balance between love and passion. Both enjoy showing affection through romantic gestures, shared hobbies or art. Both feel their romantic and sexual needs are understood and valued. The intensity is not lost over time. There can be too much focus on physical, romantic side of connection, neglecting deeper emotional, intellectual compatibility. Both can take the chemistry for granted or avoid certain deeper issues.
💍 Mars trine Mars: This screams teamwork and cooperation. Both take action in the same way. But what can happen is neither person feels challenged enough to step outside their comfort zone or to grow. Both respect each other’s independence.
💍 Venus opposite Mars: Both feel energized by each other. Venus person seeks emotional closeness, romance, beauty, while Mars person seeks a physical connection and excitement.
💍 Vertex conjunct Moon: This can trigger deep emotional growth. Both can become more in touch with their feelings, emotional needs. Both can feel like they can’t function without the other, so emotional dependency is a risk.
💍 Juno conjunct Saturn: This connection has a potential to grow deeper over time as both take it seriously. A stable connection, both are focused on building a solid foundation for the future from the beginning. There can be either emotional restraint or to be overly cautious or serious in expressing feelings. One or both can feel emotionally burdened by the connection. Or that they need to suppress their feelings in the name of duty, responsibilities. But there are life lessons connected to commitment, responsibility and boundaries. Both could feel they need to maintain control or hold back from being fully vulnerable. Another key factor here, both need to earn trust and respect from each other before moving to the next level. A sense of having to “work” for the connection rather than enjoying it freely.
💍 Uranus conjunct Ceres: The way both care for each other changes frequently and this leads to confusion, frustration. Uranus person is too detached, Ceres person is too demanding or traditional. Ceres person can feel criticised or misunderstood. Ceres person sees Uranus person as too distant and emotionally unavailable.
💍 North Node opposite Pluto: This connection has a sense of destiny. However, the connect initially seems difficult, but it can empower both people. Pluto person helps NN person to break through emotional blockages. While North Node person helps Pluto person to focus on the bigger picture. Pluto person tries to dominate, control NN person’s path.
💍 North Node conjunct Venus: NN person can become too dependent on the relationship for emotional fulfilment. NN person might have a harder time developing a sense of self outside this connection. There is a tendency to idealise each other or the relationship. Venus person can try to “fix” or overly protect NN person.
💍 Mars conjunct Venus: Venus person can become overly passive or too reliant on Mars person for validation. This can lead to jealousy or possessiveness and dramatic emotional reactions, if the other person is not showing enough attention or affection. Venus person can feel overshadowed by Mars person. But Mars person can feel frustrated if Venus person is too withdrawn. Here extremes can be found though. Passion can easily turn into frustration and impatience, if one of both feels like their needs aren’t fully met.
💍 Mars trine Pluto: Intense sexual and emotional connection. It is a transformative connection. Both will evolve and let go of outdated behaviour and beliefs. Both recognise that the other person has personal power. Both become the best version of themselves. Both can neglect individual balance or self-care. This aspect can lead to burnout or emotional exhaustion.
💍 Pluto square Sun: This connection can easily become a battleground for personal power. This aspect bring transformation, but it comes through intense conflict first. Both need to confront deepest insecurities, fears and ego. But both become stronger and more self-aware and the change is deep and long-lasting. There can be emotional volatility or dramatic shifts in the connection. If either person feels threatened by the other’s independence or self-expression, there is often a desire to manipulate or control the person. Subtle power games, emotional manipulation or attempts to dominate the relationship occur. The attraction here is both sexual and intellectual. This aspect creates a competitive or controlling dynamic, because both try to assert their will. Sun person feels oppressed, challenged or criticised by the Pluto person, while Pluto person sees the Sun person as too self-centered or too resistant to change.

BEAUTY INDICATORS IN NATAL CHART
✦ Hi there!I did a little poll asking whether you’d prefer a post on fame indicators or beauty indicators in astrology, and beauty ended up getting more love — so I put together a post all about that.
Just keep in mind — beauty is subjective and influenced by many factors beyond astrology. Still, these indicators often show up in the charts of people widely admired for their looks or charm. Also, these are just my personal observations, so feel free to share more beauty indicators in the comments!
I will analyze the asteroids in my next post! Hope you enjoy it!
PLANETS & POINTS
1. Venus – the planet of beauty, love, and aesthetics
Strong Venus (e.g., in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces) – enhances beauty, grace, and charm. The beauty of these three signs are very different tho. Taurus brings sexy and seductive beauty, Libra brings elegant and noble beauty, Pisces brings ethereal, mysterious and dreamy beauty.
Venus in the 1st house – beautiful appearance, charm that’s obvious to others.
Venus conjunct or near Ascendant – one of the strongest beauty aspects, often seen in people considered physically attractive. Of course it depends on the aspects that Venus has too but most of the times even if their faces are not that symmetrical, they have this elegant/beautiful/charming aura in them. Venus conjunct ASC – often seen in celebrities like: Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz (Cancer – captivating eyes); Bella Hadid, Charlize Theron (Virgo – clean, sharp elegance); Rihanna (Aries – bold and fierce beauty); Beyonce (Libra-elegant beauty), Selena Gomez (in Leo, they often radiate that ‘IT girl’ or ‘IT guy’ energy), Sandra Bullock (in Gemini, these folks mostly look cunning/smart/young), Aamir Khan (in Pisces, these folks have enchanted/impressive eyes just like Neptune conjunct ASC). This aspect often brings striking beauty. Men with Venus conjunct the Ascendant often have soft, elegant features, a fashion-forward sense, or an appreciation for art and aesthetics. E.g. Jude Law (in Sagittarius). Folks that have this aspect in Scorpio look so sexy and mysterious at the same time.
Venus in aspect to Moon – adds softness, femininity, emotional appeal. Hard aspects also count.
Venus in aspect to Jupiter – generosity, charm, attractive energy. Again, hard aspects also count. E.g. Mila Kunis and Monica Bellucci (Venus-Jupiter square).
2. Ascendant (Rising Sign) – how others see you physically
Libra, Taurus, Pisces, or Leo Rising – often associated with symmetrical, attractive, or artistically appealing features.
Ruling planet of Ascendant well-placed or dignified – enhances physical presence and magnetism. E.g. If you are a Gemini/Virgo rising with an exalted Mercury (in Gemini or Virgo), in 1st/3rd /5th/7th/10th/11th house, and has aspects with Venus, Jupiter or Neptune, the likelihood of your beauty increases. This beauty will most likely be youthful, smart, clean (with Virgo) looking beauty. I’m a Gemini rising with Mercury in Virgo, at the end of 4th/beginning of 5th and my Mercury trines with Neptune. People always tell me I look so young, around 23-24 even though I’m already 30 lol.
Venus Trine, or Sextile Ascendant – Enhances physical beauty, grace, and pleasant facial features. E.g. Ariana Grande (Capricorn Rising with strong Taurus Venus), Britney Spears (Libra Rising), Mark Hamill (Capricorn rising with Virgo Venus-when I tell you it generally gives a beauty just like a woman has, I guess you got the meaning), Natalie Portman (Sco rising with Cancer Venus), Jennifer Lawrence (Sag rising with Leo Venus).
3. Moon – face, femininity, softness
Moon in 1st house or near/conjunct ASC-Pure, innocent, or soulful beauty. Their eyes may be especially expressive. There's a gentleness and softness in their appearance or aura. E.g. Henry Cavill (Aquarius), Scarlett Johansson (Scorpio-Sag), Miranda Kerr(Cancer), Michael Jackson (Pisces), Kirsten Dunst( Leo), Jackie Chan (Gemini), Kate Winslet (Libra), Katie Holmes(Leo), Rihanna (Aries), Audrey Hepburn (Aqua-Pisces), Katy Perry (Sco), Taylor Lautner (Taurus), Mariah Carey (Cancer), Bella Hadid (Virgo), Kendall Jenner(Pisces-Aries).
Moon in Taurus/Libra or Cancer – soft features, nurturing energy, feminine appeal.
Moon-Venus or Moon-Neptune aspects – dreamy, gentle, emotional beauty. E.g.:Emma Stone (Moon-Venus conj. in Libra + squares Neptune); Keanu Reeves (Venus-Moon Conj. in Cancer+ trines Neptune); Brad Pitt (Venus-Moon conj. in Cap+ sextiles Neptune); Rihanna (Venus-Moon conj. in Aries+ squares Neptune); Blake Lively (Venus-Moon conj. in Virgo); Halle Berry (Cancer Venus conjuncts Leo Moon ); Kendall Jenner (Moon Venus trine + Neptune sextiles both of them); Will Smith (Moon conj. Neptune in Scorpio); Justin Timberlake (Moon conj. Neptune in Sag).
4. Neptune – ethereal, mysterious beauty
Neptune conjunct/near Ascendant – dreamy, otherworldly appearance, alluring presence. These individuals often have fairy-like, dreamy features with mystical eyes — often light or blue in color. Also they look good on photos. E.g. Sebatian Stan (Sag), Dakota Johnson (Cap), Naomi Watts (Scorpio), Zac Efron (Cap), Marilyn Monroe(Leo), Ariana Grande(Cap), Kim Kardashian (in Sag), Adriana Lima (Sag), Anne Hathaway (Sag), Mila Kunis (Sag), Kylie Jenner(Cap), Nicole Kidman(Sco)
Neptune-Venus aspects – magnetic, enchanting, creative beauty. E.g. Hugh Jackman-Matt Damon-Demi Moore-Miley Cyrus (Venus Neptune conj. in Scorpio), Rose Leslie-Michael B. Jordan-Meg Ryan (Venus-Neptune conj. in Cap), Gigi Hadid (Neptune-Venus sextile), Hailey Bieber-Gal Gadot (Venus-Neptune square), Zendaya (Venus-Neptune opposition), Kylie Jenner (Venus Neptune trine).
5. Jupiter – amplifies whatever it touches
Jupiter in the 1st house – attractive aura, warmth, sometimes a larger-than-life presence.Brings a healthy, attractive glow. E.g. Margot Robbie (Cancer).
Jupiter-Venus – charm, luck in love and social graces. Trines: Kit Harington(water), Emma Stone(air), Emilia Clarke(water), Blake Lively(earth-fire), Tom Hiddleston(air) , Emma Watson(water). Conjunctions: Scarlett Johansson(Cap), J. Rhys Meyers (Gemini), Austin Butler(Leo-Virgo), Demi Lovato (Virgo), Beyonce ( Libra), Jennifer Lawrence (Leo), Anne Hathaway (Sco), Halle Berry (Cancer). Opposition: Jennifer Anniston.
6.Pluto-Magnetic Beauty
Pluto conjunct or near ASC- These folks are mostly hypnotic, mysterious, powerful, even if they can’t explain why. Their beauty may not be “traditional,” but it’s deeply captivating — there’s a dark allure to them.
They can intimidate and attract people at the same time — like a siren call. They have piercing or intense eyes and a serious or watchful expression even when relaxed. E.g. Leonardo Dicaprio (Libra), Keanu Reeves (Virgo), Kate Winslet (Libra), Al Pacino (Leo), Jack Nicholson (Leo-Cancer), Katy Perry (Scorpio), Justin Bieber (Scorpio), Kurt Cobain (Virgo), George W. Bush (Leo), Beyonce (Libra).

NATAL CHART OBSERVATIONS (pt. 2)
✪ Pluto-ascendent aspects have SUCH MAGNETIZING EYES, people with this aspect might get compliments on their eyes often (hard aspects may have people say their stare is intense/intimidating)
✪ Everyone says Aquarius mars are super progressive and activists and while I think this is true for a lot of people, I’ve also seen this show up in a lot of straight men I know as being a Joe Rogan type who does acid and discovers empathy lol
✪ I’ve also seen unevolved Aquarius mars people be the type to pride themselves in being super open minded but in reality have a really hard time actually changing certain beliefs (they are still a fixed sign).
✪ People with squares from personal planets to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto in their natal chart can have a harder time with relationships when they’re young since many of their peers will have this in their synastry
✪ Pisces moon/Aquarius mars combo can show up in the charts of people so intellectual that they’re borderline out of touch with reality *this may also be because everyone I’ve met with this combo is from my university where everybody is already a little pretentious lol
Note: I did not mean to hate on Aquarius mars so hard in this post contrary to what it may seem I actually love you guys hahaha

Moon & Mars in Synastry

(18+ observation’s)
I’ll forever talk about moon & mars in Synastry charts. a lot of astrologer emphasize what mars & Venus looks like, but I believe the REAL LOVERS have moon & mars.❤️🔥
The moon shows us what we connect to emotionally. What makes us feel safe & ultimately how we express our emotions. So many affectionate displays are here with the moon 🌙 . So when in contact with Mars in another’s chart, you can really see how Mars becomes so intensely desirable for the Moon. Intense sexual attention is likely here. But what I really care to express is how deeply these two will connect on all physical levels. 🤭
The Mars person probably will find Moon so soft, gentle, nurturing , beautiful even. It’s like something f to take all the fire & passion of Mars & lightly blow on it. Not blowing it out but making it wilder & even more dangerous 😉🥵
I’ve had this Synastry with different people both ways & when I tell you I’ve become so addicted to studying the way this plays out. You can find this deeper love story here, and if it gets past the friend zone. You can expect a lot of baby making 🥴 another thing I’ve noticed is it’s not a connection that fizzles out quickly… even though there is tons of physical attraction, I think the way each persons responds to one another’s feelings adds to the chemistry.

You could easily leave an impact on one another with this Synastry. So much so that even if you are at a distance from one another or lose contact, you’ll never forget the love you shared. I think it can be a really beautiful placement to look for if you want passionate love.
There is a strong instinctive sexual attraction between these people, even when the Moon is the man and the Mars is the woman. There is likely to be arguging ( even over petty things ) and Make Up Sex. However, in some cases the Moon person may not want to have sex because they are so mad.
✨Be mindful though, the Mars person needs to pay a lot of attention to the way they treat the Moon person. Moon will be likely sensitive. So Mars may have to tone down aggression to avoid conflicts or fights. Similarly for the Moon person, try to not take everything to the heart, or let your feelings be on the forefront every time.✨
I have Moon conjunct Mars natally, so when I encounter somebody who’s moon touches my mars or vice versa - instant fireworks. 🎆 It’s been one of my favorite experiences 😌 even when things get explosive or a little bit crazy- I think having this aspect Nataly helps me not fear it or dislike it too much. I can handle a lot of intensity & so I attract the same 🙃🙂 can be a good or bad thing depending on how you handle the energy.
Do you share these with anybody? Tell me about it !

𝔄𝔰𝔱𝔯𝔬𝔩𝔬𝔤𝔶 𝔒𝔟𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔳𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫𝔰
And welcome to 2025 everyone!
Aquarius placements learn to detach themselves in order to feel control. For example if someone has an Aquarius Moon they often detach themselves from their emotions in order to feel as if they are more in control of their feelings. They don't like to feel overwhelmed by their feelings or like their feelings are controlling them instead of the other way around. People forget that in Traditional Astrology Aquarius is ruled by Saturn which is all about containment/restriction and control.
People talk about how Leo placmements are incredibly magnetic and often attract a lot of attention, which is true, however we often underestimate Cancer placements when it comes to their personal magnetism. They attract people in a different way then Leos, they seem less attention hungry sometimes, often its their caring sweet nature that draws people in. After all the Moon may not shine as bright buts it's still as luminary.
The smartest people you know will have Mercury and Jupiter aspects in their chart. Specifically you want to look for Conjunction, trine, sextile, quintile and biquintile. These people are not only driven towards learning and expanding their knowledge, but also wonderful at being able to teach others what they know and relaying this information. They communicate very eloquently.
Taurus Mars is one of my favourite mars placements. Though this may sound backwards as it is in detriment in taurus, I have seen how people with this placement are amazing at getting the results that they want. Though they may not be the quickest at getting things done they are the most stable, stubborn and determined. When they set their mind to something, They are dedicated.
Moon in the third house often represent having a sibling who is incredibly nurturing and caring, however you also may have seen them as very emotional, and maybe even a little moody or volatile sometimes.
Thanks for reading everyone,
wishing you good luck in the new year!

mask or soul? (sun - rising aspects)
sun conjunct rising
sun conjunct rising people carry an unmistakable presence, radiating confidence and warmth that captivates others. this alignment blends ego with appearance, often making them highly aware of how they’re perceived. on the positive side, they project authenticity and charisma; however, their strong self-focus can sometimes make them appear vain or self-centered. when balanced, they embody a striking combination of boldness and sincerity.
the vibes you bring: main character energy, golden aura, effortless charm, center of attention, luminous persona, natural leader, radiant self-assurance, charismatic glare, unapologetically themselves, head turner, confident stare, all eyes on me, unfaltering self-belief, sunlit glow, vanity mirror moments, the charmer, idol singer, charming confidence, walking on sunshine
sun opposite rising
sun opposite rising individuals have an intriguing duality in how they present themselves versus who they truly are. their appearance often contrasts with their inner self, creating a push-pull dynamic between their public image and private ego. this aspect can make them seem mysterious or even misunderstood, as they may struggle to align how they’re perceived with how they see themselves. positively, this creates depth and allure, but it can also make them seem distant or hard to read.
the vibes you bring: mysterious allure, inner conflict, two-faced beauty, hidden depths, public vs. private self, masked vulnerability, unreachable aura, enigmatic charisma, elusive persona, layers of self, contradictory charm, captivating complexity, shadow & light, introspective gaze, unseen essence, the masked one, contradictory character, beauty is never tarnished, stranger with a familiar face
sun trine rising
sun trine rising individuals exude a natural harmony between their inner self and outer appearance, often radiating confidence and warmth without needing to try. they’re authentic, drawing others in with ease, and their positive self-image makes them approachable yet self-assured. this alignment brings a gentle charisma, though they can sometimes take their easy appeal for granted, becoming overly focused on staying comfortable rather than challenging themselves. overall, they leave a lasting impression of effortless charm and inner balance.
the vibes you bring: effortless confidence, natural charisma, authentic glow, inner harmony, effortless appeal, charming ease, radiant grace, magnetic presence, golden balance, self-assured aura, subtle power, unspoken influence, timeless elegance, genuine allure, smooth operator, the charmer, graceful & gracious, effortlessly attractive, nice; but not naive
sun square rising
sun square rising individuals often experience a noticeable tension between how they present themselves and who they truly are. this aspect can lead to an edgy, intriguing aura but also causes inner conflict as they struggle to express their true identity. their appearance might feel slightly “off” or at odds with their personality, which can make them appear misunderstood or inconsistent. while this misalignment adds intensity and uniqueness to their charm, it can also make them seem defensive or self-conscious at times.
the vibes you bring: edgy charm, inner conflict, unpolished realness, raw appeal, contrasting persona, rebel without a cause, unconventional allure, frustrated expression, intense glance, uneasy magnetism, complex charisma, charming flaws, rough around the edges, compelling contrast, unfiltered self, beautifully flawed, complicated character, reluctant charmer, tough but vulnerable
sun sextile rising
sun sextile rising individuals have an appealing balance between their inner confidence and outer expression, creating a friendly yet dignified presence. they’re comfortable in their own skin, projecting a self-assured charm that feels genuine without overwhelming others. this aspect gives them a knack for knowing how to present themselves, but they may sometimes rely too much on their easy charm, risking complacency. overall, they exude an approachable warmth that draws people in with a quiet magnetism.
the vibes you bring: approachable charisma, warm presence, quiet confidence, balanced aura, friendly allure, effortless charm, subtle power, natural elegance, unassuming grace, genuine magnetism, easygoing appeal, poised yet friendly, self-assured glow, unforced beauty, inviting warmth, the everyman charmer, effortlessly attractive, grace under pressure, nice; but not naive

Random Synastry Observations
🌸Mars conjunct Ascendant or Mars in 1st house can be one of those relationships where you aren't too sure if someone likes you genuinely or just for your looks.
🌸Venus in 5th house has an easy going atmosphere helped by a shared sense of humor and playfulness regardless of other aspects in synastry.
🌸It can be very difficult to end a relationship with someone with their Mars in your 8th house as they will persist to make sure the relationship continues.
🌸Having your natal Moon or Venus conjunct/opposite/square Pluto makes your relationships with people close to your age very intense for better or worse.
🌸People with Venus in 12th house synastry tend to dream about each other a lot.
🌸Relationships have a better chance of surviving if 4th house,5th house and 8th house synastry are all present.
🌸People with Venus in 10th house synastry most likely met or connected through work or school and tend to bond over career related matters.
🌸If Moon conjunct Mars synastry has no strong aspects to aid the relationship, the Mars person may view the Moon person as merely someone to procreate with, this is especially true if Mars is a man and Moon is a woman.
🌸Venus-Saturn strong aspects tend to be present in age-gap relationships.
🌸Strong uranus aspects to personal plantets in synastry may create an element of uncertainty or instability to the relationship

Relationships - Understanding Charts: Lesson Two (Sun) Pt 8.
We made it to the final part and through Monday, now on this glorious and wonderful Tuesday I bring you the Sun aspects through Pluto.
If you want to go back and review any of the other signs I have that fully available on my website!
Conjunction 0° ~ 5°
You have a deeply personal and deep secretive side to your personality. The matters of your desires aren't the concern of anyone else and that keeps you with your head to the ground and trying to transform yourself without the help of others. This helps you to live to the fullest, taking in lifes enjoyments and allowing it to grow you into the person you want to be. You are rich and vibrant- but have a tendency to seem mysterious and dark, leading to people feeling more suspicious than trusting of your actions.
Opposition 180° ~ 4°
The issue with this placement is that you embrace the change of yourself too much. Often reaching for heights that are largely unnecessary. Instead of it being as transformative and deep as it needs to be you may change colors like a chameleon not really projecting yourself at all to the world. You may feel more prone to lying, and manipulation to get the results that you want to see out of the world.
Trine 120° ~ 3°
While there is a desire for self improvement, you may not fully recognize it yourself. It just happens. You find the ways in which you are meant to improve and you take them, etching yourself into a person that seems more fully realized of themself. You have a charisma to yourself that is hard to ignore, and you take full advantage of it. This can lead to positions of power and leadership that most don't have the opportunity to receive, as people are drawn to enigmatic personality
Square 90° ~ 2°
To most you may come off as so intense that they can't go near you. Yes mystery is intriguing- but at the same time no one wants to go swimming in a black hole. There's a distinct need to control, and form the situation around you- but that is what keeps holding you back. If you learn how to step away from this dynamic and allow the control aspect of this planet fall away you will find yourself able to have deeper and more meaningful relationships.
Sextile 60° ~ 1°
You know how I said that with trine, people are naturally drawn to you because you have this raw aura of leadership. Well in this aspect that carries on- except one of the key features is that its not charisma drawing them to you- it's not the mystery. It's the willingness to change and be deeper that holds influence. People are attracted to the more watery aspect that this aspect draws, the ability to empathize and look deeper igniting change is one of your biggest assets.
There we go- that's the last of it. Pluto is all about transformation and understanding a deeper part of yourself (not necessarily dark, that's Lilith's job). So to hold your desires up and have them walk through a relationship with Pluto, it's going to be a reality check. Not only for you, but the people around you as this has quite the impact on your personality.
That's all I have for now, stay tuned through the week for new posts!
Stay groovy, taco Tuesday, and I'll catch you on the flip,

placements i would look for in partners
*i am lonely and this is me creating my dream person*
LIBRA SUN: they are simply *chefs kiss*. depending on other placements, they can be super comfortable with themselves and (particularly for men) not showing any toxic masculinity. they also can be so kind and just respectful? in my eyes they are simply perfect and can do no harm. marry me.
SCORPIO MERCURY/VENUS: the definition of 'raw. next question'. literally just the way they use words, they know what they're saying and how they're saying and it is so so charismatic. and the way they love is what i need.
LEO MOON: i loveee confidence in people. and these people just have all round the best vibes. kinda reminds me from 'to all the boys i loved before' where peter kavinsky says "i am wayyy hotter than that guy" (a movie character). also extremely loving, and so much fun to be around. you also just feel so seen? they get me fr
MARS IN 10TH: ambitious, (typically smart), passionate about what they have decided to dedicate their life to. wants to succeed, and wants to do well. we love competent people 😚
TAURUS IN BIG 6: my fave earth sign. the best of the earths (grounded, down to earth, realistic) but imo taurus is superior, like if libra was an earth sign. they care, they're passionate and like libra, they tend to care about fairness. and respectful!!
SUN IN 9TH: bit more personal to me, but i <3 travelling, and love learning. my moon is in sag so i guess this explains it, but i'd want someone i could share my passions with!
MOON CONJ/TRINE ASPECTS: we love emotionally mature people and those who let themselves feel, and those who can see other's perspective and opinion. i think these aspects are the best foundation for someone who is like that, which is incredibly important to me :)

SYNASTRY NOTES
Disclaimer: These are just my observations. If they don't resonate with you, simply read and move on.
Mercury compatibility is one of the most crucial factors in synastry. When your Mercury placements are in a square aspect, even casual conversations can quickly turn irritating, with both partners reacting in unexpected ways. For example, a Virgo Mercury might expect their partner to analyze, comment on, or even critique what they say, while a Gemini Mercury may simply brush it off with a “move on” attitude. This mismatch can leave the Virgo feeling frustrated. Squares between Mercuries tend to be easier to navigate when mutable signs are involved; with fixed signs, however, the clash can be much more intense.
When Mercury placements form a quincunx aspect, the two individuals often struggle to understand each other. They may offer perspectives that are entirely unfamiliar to one another, but a natural, intuitive connection remains elusive.
The Mars-Moon conjunction in synastry is often overrated. Although there's undeniable physical attraction, the Mars person can end up irritating the Moon person, turning even small disagreements into fiery battles. Of course, the specific signs involved can influence this dynamic, but generally, the intensity can be challenging to manage.
A Lilith-Sun conjunction in synastry tends to bring out the shadow side of your personality in the other person. I've observed this aspect in couples who had anxious-avoidant attachment struggle and they had Lilith-Sun conjunction as double whammy! It’s fascinating to see how closely psychology and astrology can intertwine in this case.
When one of your personal planets forms a conjunction with the South Node in synastry, it creates a sense of familiarity and often leads to rapid intimacy. There's a natural comfort and ease that emerges from these connections.
Soft aspects between Moon placements are among the best in synastry. They create a feeling of being at home in each other’s presence and lead to a deep, intuitive understanding of one another’s emotional needs.
Juno is often underrated when it comes to a man’s natal chart. Since Juno represents his ideal partner, and men tend to approach marriage with a rational mindset, it's natural for them to choose someone who aligns with this placement. For instance, one of my ex-partners had Juno conjunct my Sun, while another had it conjunct my Ascendant—while I had no major Juno connection with them.
Placements in the 2nd house can be especially telling if you value material security. Whether you’re attracted to the idea of financial stability or you’re a self-proclaimed “gold digger” (no offense), checking out your 2nd house synastry is worthwhile. It’s particularly promising if he has key planets like Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, or Venus positioned in your 2nd house.
If a man has a stellium landing on your Venus, it’s a strong indicator that you might be his dream girl. Such an alignment can make you unforgettable to him for a long time.
Hard aspects between the Sun and Saturn suggest a power struggle. Saturn demands obedience, yet the Sun naturally resists, leading to frequent conflicts. Whenever the Sun defies Saturn’s authority, the reaction from Saturn can be notably harsh.
