Snowboarding Disaster

Pairing: Zach MacLaren x Reader

Y/N has yet again been invited to go with the MacLarens on their yearly ski trip. She was invited last year, but she didn’t exactly go snowboarding with the family. She opted to stay in the chalet with hot chocolate and a good romance book. This year, though, she is determined to hit the slopes with her boyfriend. He helps her get all of her gear and they go outside. His family headed out ahead of them. He guides her to sit on the ground, explaining how to put her board binding on. She can see he is trying to hide her laughter and groans in frustration. “Can you help me, please?” she whines, looking at him in despair. He lets his cackle out for a second before bending to help her, “There you go, Baby.” he gives her a kiss on the lips and helps her up.

They head over to the magic carpet to go up the bunny hill and shrieks the moment her board is on the moving belt. “I do not like that feeling,” she cries out, trying to stabilize herself. Once at the top of the hill, Zach does a rundown of the basics and tells her to just try to slide down to him with her board perpendicular to the slope. She is easily able to do it, so he moves on to moving directions by shifting the weight of her body from foot to foot, still keeping the board somewhat perpendicular to the hill. This is where the problem started. She would put too much weight on one foot, which causes her board to twist parallel to the slope and she starts going out of control. After a few times of Zach catching her or her wiping out, she is close to calling it quits. “Come on, Baby. Just try it one more time,” he begs. She gives in to his pleas and tries again. This time she almost got down the hill correctly, but a small bump of snow tilts her board forward. She begins zooming out of control down the hill with no way of stopping. Panic starts to rise when she sees a little kid at the bottom of the hill. Luckily, Zach is able to get down fast enough and tackle her onto her back, just narrowly missing the child. 

She groans, rubbing her head with her gloved hand. “I don’t think I ever want to go snowboarding again,” she moans, sitting up off the ground with Zach. He unbuckles her snowboard and helps her up, “I think you shouldn’t either. How about we head to the chalet and get some hot chocolate, instead?”

The rest of Zach’s family return to the chalet to find the couple cuddled on the couch near the fire. “You guys are here earlier than I thought,” Connie comments, sitting across from her son. Y/N smiles at her boyfriend’s mom, “Yeah, I wasn’t very good at it.” Avery giggles. “Are you sure it wasn’t just that you had a bad teacher?” Y/N gives the younger girl a mind-blown look, “You are absolutely right. It was your brother’s fault I was so bad. Maybe you should be my teacher next time.” “Hey! I am a great teacher, I have never felt so betrayed before,” he gasps out with a pouty look. Y/N brings herself closer to him, giving him a kiss. “It’s okay, you are an amazing boyfriend.”

Summary : you spend a day with your perfect boyfriend.

When Connie invited you to go skiing with them you didn’t actually think she meant it but it was all to late when 2 days ago you sat between Zach and his cousin on the way to their rented lodge. You didn’t feel even the slightest bit of regret even though you didn’t know how to ski.

The first day was spent with you trying to learn how to ski you even tried to settle on snowboarding but that proved to be even more hard but it wasn’t even your fault you just get all panicky when both of your feet are tied to the snow board.

The second day, which was today, you chose to spent with your boyfriend who was forced to stay on the lodge because of his concussion.

“I’m boreddddd” whined Zach from beside you where he was forced, by you, to read a book according to you he read way to little and you went out of your way to get him a soccer related book.

“Well,” you started while rolling on top of him so that your face was uncontrollably near his. “What do you wanna do?” You continued making him break out into a smile. “This,” he said before leaning in.

He connected your lips passionately kissing you and also trying to distract you from him taking the book and putting it under a pillow. When you saw that you grabbed his hand and guided it to your waist before grabbing the book from beneath the pillow.

“Noo” he whined when he saw the book back in your hand. “Please baby I don’t want to read.” He said trying to reason with you. You just shook your head and sat up next to him.

“Okay,” you said making him smile at you “I can read to you if you want baby.” You said making him nod before laying his head down on your lap. Your hand found his hair and you slowly started playing with it.

Then you started reading and not long after Zach’s attention was removed from the words coming out of your mouth he just stared at your face. “What?” You laughed when you saw him smiling. “Nothing baby I just think you’re pretty.” He said his right hand finding your chin.

He sat up and cupped your face slowly bringing you closer. “Zach.” You said making his eyes snap up to your eyes. “What is it?” He asks softly while caressing your cheek. “Wanna continue reading later?” You asked making his smile widen “sure” he said before he leaning into a kiss. “Come on let’s continue this somewhere else.” He said making you nod.

Summary: After getting hit by a car, Zach only has one thing to say to Y/N.

Y/N has told her boyfriend multiple times to wear a helmet whenever he rides that stupid bicycle. She has heard so many horror stories about accidents, but her pleas are always met with a reminder that he knows how to ride a bike. Watching him slam into the car and flip over onto his back is the scariest moment of her life. She runs to his side and her first-aid training kicks in. She doesn’t find a pulse when she checks for one, so she immediately gets to work on chest compression. She orders the driver of the car to call 911. As the seconds tick by with no pulse, she panics more and more. Finally, he lets out gasps with a jerk forward and she takes him into her arms. “I thought I lost you,” she cries, kissing his cheeks. The sound of the ambulance approaches and before she knows it, a paramedic is pulling her away so that they can assess Zach.

Connie and Matt were very grateful that Y/N was there with Zach during his accident. They, of course, invited her over for dinner not only because she is his girlfriend, but as a thank you as well. Y/N and Zach wait for dinner to be made on the couch. Instead of helping with the food like she normally would, she is making sure Zach is okay. Their relationship is new-ish. It is about three months old. He leans against the back of the couch, staring up at her with big eyes. She returns his gaze with a confused look. Something feels different about the way that she is looking at him. “Why are you looking at me like that?” she questions him. He shrugs, leaning in for a kiss, “I didn’t thank you for basically saving my life.” She giggles and meets his lips. When they pull away, he still has that goofy look on his face and she grows concerned because of his concussion.

“Are you okay? Why are you looking at me like that?” He scoots closer to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. “You saved my life. And it made me realize that I never said I love you,” he whispers so his family can’t hear. She moves her face closer to his, “You don’t have to say it just because I saved your life.”

“It’s not because of that. I was just too scared of saying it before. However, I think I’d much rather get rejected by you than die knowing I never said this. I love Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N.”

“Well, I love you too, Zachary Adam MacLaren.”
