Some Annabeth HC's:

tried to paint her nails weekly when a couple other girls at camp mentioned she never does anything girly, but gave up when she realized she always chewed the paint off after the first day.

never has to do anything to her eyebrows, they are thick and full and lay perfectly

read the owl's of ga'hoole series religiously as a kid. I also did. owl warriors? hell, yeah

secretly thinks she would have hated the sorting system at hogwarts. She thinks that one sorting isn't enough and knows she'd fit into at least 3 of the houses

unintentionally is the reason that clarisse and silena became friends. she was friends with silena first and needed clarisse's help with a fighting technique that required a partner.

I know alot of people think that connor has a crush on annabeth, but they have such a strong platonic friendship. when annabeth goes to her dads, she can't help but compare her half brothers to the stolls.

didn't learn how to do protective styles on herself until she was 13. She left on quests so much once percy showed up that she didnt have time to track down silena and katie to box braid her hair or clarisse and charles to cornrow it real fast. She had to learn on the go and it was rough. Thankfully, percy eventually became comfortable enough to reveal that he knows how to cornrow. why? he got bored and a girl he went to school with taught him how during study hall.

stimming is very common at cbh since literally everyone has ADHD. annabeths go to is tapping her fingers on any surface that'll make a noise and humming aggressively when she's frustrated. she might to a cheeky flap or two when trying to calm down.

once while study, repeated the "crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room..." audio for a straight 30 minutes before Malcom threw a book at her. he then proceed to have it stuck in his head for the next 2 weeks.

FAMILY HISTORY : Lieutenant Hank Anderson born on September 6, 1985. He was born and raised in Detroit and. Hank graduated top of his class and as Valedictorian of his police academy and joined the Detroit City Police Department. He started out as a beat cop on the streets and eventually became a police detective. In 2027 and 2028, Hank was part of the Red Ice Task Force that cracked down on dealers that distributed the drug Red Ice. In 2029, (reported in the news on August 22) he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, making him the youngest lieutenant in Detroit history. He went on to secure several high-profile arrests and served as an integral part of the task force, continuing to be a member until at least 2031. At some point, he joined the homicide division.

EARLY LIFE : Charlize, nicknamed Charlie by her close friends and parents, was born on September, 2013. When she was born, her father had been 7 years into the Detroit Police Department already but as a young child, she didn’t know what it meant to be in the police. It was watching the news as she grew up and saw police interventions and other stuff and she started to think that her father was so cool and viewed him as a sort of hero. When she was around 14 or 15 years of age, his father had joined the Red Ice Task Force and the day she noticed her father on TV, he wasn't just her hero, he was someone she wanted to be like. She looked up to him like crazy when she was a teenager. She used to be bullied in middle school because she was quiet and smart and she had the best grades at the exams and she was pretty shy so she never talked back or anything but after seeing him on TV, she started to brag about who her father was and used him as her shield to protect herself. It worked, no one dared come at her afterwards but she was still mocked in class every now and then but tried to not care and focus on her studies. Things were going well, when she got a brother, she was really happy about it and she would take care of him as much as her parents, if not more. She was almost always with her brother in her arms. There was an entire album photo of her and Cole over the years. Because she was really close to her family she went to college in her hometown, Detroit, and went to study criminal Justice in order to later become a police detective just like her father.

In 2035, she was in the last year of her Criminal Justice bachelor’s degree and had went back home for the week. Her mother was away for work that day and her father, Cole and she were in the car when a truck skidded on a sheet of ice presumably hitting Hank's car and causing it to roll over. Charlize had been severely injured and Cole needed emergency surgery and was operated on by an android because the human surgeon was unavailable due to being under the influence of Red Ice. Cole did not survive, dying on October 11th of 2035. Charlie was in a coma for a few days and was told about the death of her brother way after it happened and she was devastated. She felt guilty for being in a coma and not by her brother’s side. While Cole's death led Hank into a spiral of immense grief, depression, alcoholism, and suicidal tendencies (given the circumstances of his son's death, this made him develop resentment towards androids, blaming them for the death of his son) Charlize kind of locked herself in her studies and after obtaining her degree, went straight to the Detroit Police Academy, for six months. At her father’s image, she graduated top of her class and as a Valedoctirian. Some jealous classmates said that she wasn’t worthy of the recognition the professors gave her, because she had them in her backpocket because of who her father was but in any case, she joined the Detroit Police Department afterwards and Captain Fowler assigned Hank to mentor her, of course he was also kind of mentoring her on the side. So, in late 2036, at the age of 23, she was officialy a Police Officer and aimed to eventually become a Detective, like her father. She saw the decaying of her father first hand since she was in the Detroit Police and it had a toll on her and it brought her back to the reality of the situation outside of her studies. There, she was mentored by her father because no matter what other officers thought of him now, she didn’t care, and by police Captain Jeffrey Fowler himself, since he was a longtime comrade of Hank's and like an uncle to her in a way.

After the death of Cole, her parents had split up and her mother went on to live in another state entirely but as she was going to college in Detroit, she refused to change of school and stayed with her father. She would call her mother every now and then. During her time in college, she lived in a dorm and after she graduated she moved in her father’s new house briefly, sleeping in his bed while he went on the couch as there was only one bedroom. She then found a nice apartment downtown and moved there but would often come to check on her dad and spend evenings with him to keep him company while not at work and to keep him out of the bars. She was his lifeline that kept him from drowning all these years.

PERSONALITY : Charlize is an extremely diligent and determined person, appreciated by all her professors when she was in college as she was very studious. During her bachelor's degree, she was invested in her studies but also enjoyed life, going to parties with her friends and such but after her brother’s death in the car accident that almost cost her her life as well, she changed but because she kept up the appearances so well, none of her “friends” noticed anything which led her to feel unseen and she distanced herself from them. She buried herself in her work and stopped going out at all. Before she knew it, she graduated, goth her masters degree and joined the Detroit Police Department but it wasn’t what she thought it would be like. Her father was different. And now that she didn't have’to study and care about her grades anymore, she had to face what had happened. Seeing her father becoming so gruff, ill-tempered and self-destructive, suffering from nasty stuff too, she had to be there for her father. She hadn’t seen him in months since the accident and she felt bad because maybe he felt guilty about what happened, thinking that she stopped talking to him because she blamed him but it wasn’t the case. It really wasn’t.

She wasn’t less beaten down than Hank, she just hides it better, pretending everything is fine. She would even have breakdowns in the bathroom of the police station from the pressure she put on herself.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : Charlize stands at 5′7″-5’8” (or 174cm) so she is rather tall with a body skinnier than it should be due to mental health problems due to the trauma of the accident and she has straight blond hair and blue eyes. When she doesn’t wear a plain outfit for work, which consists in a thin hoodie, a blazer and a pair of straight pants with tacitcal duty boots, she usually dresses with warm and earthly colors such as brown, orange or green and is quite stylish. She mostly wears hoodies under jackets like she does when going to work but when the weather is good and she is on hr days off, she wears light clothes, her favorite piece of clothing being a bare back dress with puffy sleeves, in a deep orange color that her mother bought her.
